For an online class this was a exceptional class was clear and understandable. The teacher was very helpful and gave great resources when need. Very organized with the layout and what she expected out of you as a student. Helped students when as asked with personal you tube videos if you need more clarification. I highly recommend this class.

What I enjoyed the most was that she provided step-by-step instructions for most of the problems through videos, which made it helpful for me. She was very attentive and responded relatively quickly to my emails. Would like her as an instructor again because math has not been one of my strong subjects, but she makes it easy.

Professor was exceptional. I have been removed from school for a bit and was able to pass the class. You will need to study to get an excellent grade, but that should be expected. This professor is absolutely exceptional! Come to class, ask questions she will even make videos for you to see how to work a problem.

I took her online class and was very satisfied with how the class was set up. It was pretty easy, usually tests/homework were due Tuesdays and Thursdays with some assignments in between. Marcia always responded to questions very quickly and never talked down to anyone. I am planning on taking my next level of math with her again next semester!

Professor Corby was very responsive to questions and providing feedback. She would also check in on me to insure I was working on assignments so that they were completed on time. Lot of homework in the online class, but it is math. The Final Exam assumes you truly understand all the concepts so make sure you full grasp all the topics.

The class was an online format so lots of assignments but honestly they helped to really clearly learn the material. Also the open ended style is nice, I can blow through work to get ahead as I have extra time that was nice! There was a text book but honestly never used it the online videos were clean and through, plus tutoring was available

If you run into any problems outside of class, Marcia is super responsive and provides thoughtful explanations to your questions. It's clear that she is here to help you understand math--not just memorize the rules surrounding it. Marcia is definitely an A+ instructor!

Atleast one to two test a week and too much homework. She never cares if you show up as long as you do the work. I highly recommend.

In all honesty, Mrs. Corby was challenging, but not excessive. She made you want to do better and want to complete your assignments without pressuring you or constantly knocking on your door. Homework and quizzes are online she gives enough time to get your assignments done (about a week). If you fall behind on homework dont worry you can always turn them in late. You have multiple tries with each assignment so you're guaranteed to get 100%. There is no way you cannot pass this class unless you don't do the assignments.

This class is for future teachers teaching math. It's an 8-week course and it was a lot of assignments, but some were doing foldables and taking notes. She is such a cool teacher and very caring! She wants you to get an A. Just do the work and study and she will give you the A for good explanations on the exams. It's a lot of work but manageable.

I think shes handled this semester well. Shes good about having lots of assignments so getting a low score on one or two doesnt hurt your grade. Definitely utilizes the remind app so I wouldnt recommend email through Canvas. Theres a composition notebook thatll be used all semester with handouts glued in every week.

Honestly, Mrs. Corby is the best teacher I have had at Phoenix College and tries her best to ensure her students are understanding. She gives feedback with the assignments and really shows she cares about your education. The canvas set up is easy, making the online experience better and easier for her students.

I took Proffesor Corby for MAT 256 and 257. In the beginning of 256 I was so nervous, but she was super friendly and her expectations were very clear from day 1. If you are willing to put in the work for her class you will do great! I would definitely take another course with her!

I took MAT256 in the fall semester online. I struggled with the class in the beginning but Mrs. Corbys slide shows and attending the study meetings helped a lot. Mrs. Corby was an amazing instructor online and decided to take Mat257 in person. I enjoyed in person a lot more because it was fun and you earn the grade you work for.

Although the content was hard professor corby made it easier for me to understand. She cares about your learning, is there to help, and gives good feedback. I like how she has youtube videos explaining the content which made the class easier for me whenever I didn't understand something. Thank you professor for being an awesome teacher!

I took math145 with Corby. It was my first completely online math class. I was very nervous at first but the format and resources she provides were extremely helpful. Each week we had 3 assignments, notes: videos provided, homework: videos provided as well for extra assistance, then the quiz on Friday. There was also virtual tutoring available.

Marcia is such a fun teacher! She really puts in effort to teach math and makes it fun. Before taking MAT256/257 I really hated math however, after taking theses classes with her and her colleague I learned to appreciate the subject! You will DEFINITELY need to show up and turn in ALL your homework but at the end of it all, you will learn so much!

Homework is crucial, if you skip any assignment you will feel behind. You have to put in the work in order to understand the course. Dont expect a ride to pass without putting in the work. Marcia is a great instructor, always willing to help her students pass. She is a great teacher, you will definitely understand math with her as your teacher.

I have dyscalculia and struggle with math sometimes and shes the only professor Ive ever had who never made me feel like a moron if I didnt immediately grasp something. Professor Corby was an amazing teacher. I understood most of the topics being taught and when I didn't she was always willing to help and provided may ways to get the help I needed. She asks questions to help you figure out what you are doing wrong. Biggest suggestion is to study vocab and remember your terms, this will get you far in this class.

I loved taking this class. Marcia was helpful and I learned a lot taking her class. I took the hybrid course, but I was able to take it completely online due to her flexible scheduling program. The class is very work heavy, but it is completely possible to get it all done especially since she had a 48-hour grace period. 10/10 recommend.

The summer online course moved quickly, but she kept checking in with everyone through daily announcements. She made sure we all knew that we were supported through free tutoring, and she was readily available throughout the class via Canvas and remind texting.
