She is easy for lower level classes, but for Calculus, her classes are tough and not too well explained. Then again, CALC is a VERY HARD subject to teach but yes, she is helpful kind, and no nasty FOB ACCENT! HAHA!

I had this professor in my first semester of freshman year. Afraid of how it would be at the time but soon to realize how easy and great she was. She is such an understanding and wonderful person. She even gave 3 take home tests. Very easy.

i was horrible @ stats, so i had trouble in her class. but others clearly understood. she is a awesome teacher and truly wants to help her students out. if she knows this is your only or last math class shes be much more kind when giving you your final grade. I loved her!

this class is practically the same as algebra 2 in high school, but a little bit more invloved and harder here at csun. She's a cool teacher and covers the material well.

This woman is one of the best professors to take for lower division courses. If you already know how to do the math then she doesn't make you do any busy work. Not much homework at all. Easy tests usually open note. She is very helpful and is willing to sit down one on one to make sure you do well in the class.

dont like the class. goes over examples only. if you email her concerning questions, takes her at least 5 days to reply. grades very oddly. good thing, extra credit

The professor is truly helpful. She is very sweet and kind, She is very linent if u have valid excuse. The course is hard enough but she will make it easy. One take home exam and two more exams and thats it.

If your not great in Math take Pro. Siderow. She is very clear and will go over enough examples until you understand them. Tests are easy when you are prepared and she gives a quiz for each chapter before the tests. Great teacher and very personable.

OMG this professor helped me so much! I am really bad in math but she made it easy and I understood it. She really cares about her students and she does not make you feel dumb when you don't understand something. I recommend her math is hard subject but she makes it easy. This was my second time taking math and this time a got an A. Take her !!!!

Excellent, math professor. This professor is prepared before coming to class. Makes sure you understand the material before an exam. Test are fair and are easy if you pay attention in class. Homework due on days of tests, yet she is a little lenient on that. Loves to take out extra time to make you understand the material.

She is the best!! Take her!! She gives you a study guide for the test and it is almost the same as the test. She is prepared and cares about her students learning and PASSING!! If you want to learn and pass take her she doesnt have an accent!!

Im not a math person, but I understood everything. She uses overhead so that helps a lot. Cares a lot about students. Got an A in class, and failed the 1st time I took with other prof. Took her in summer.

She's a great professor! With her wittiness and humor she makes the class so enjoyable. She's such a good lady that it's astonishing. Towards the end of the semester a good friend of mine passed away and she was very caring and helpful. I ended up getting an A- and am willing to wait for an availability in her STATS. class for as long as it takes!

siderow is the best math professor i have ever had! i took her for 102, 104 and im taking her for calculus next semester. she explains very well. she has 2 midterms plus 1 take-home midterm! she will push back tests if she feels youre not ready. i highly recommend her if you struggle in math. homework is 10% of grade and she collects it on test day

EASY CLASS!! very willing to help. talks about dogs a lot, but eh, it's not too bad. Fair grader. Provides a study guide for every exam (which is almost the exact copy of the exam). The only downside is that she takes role every lecture.

She doesn't know how to explain clearly, but her tests are fair. Her lecture notes usually confuse me rather than help. She's a bit unorganized, set in her ways, and doesn't separate her personal life w/ teaching. Overall she's a very nice person and very helpful.

This was my second time around with professor Siderow(102, and 140) and will have her for a third time with Math 104 next semester. I'm still amazed at how she exudes such great teaching abilities and makes a difficult subject interesting. I really never though that I'd enjoy statistics, but I found myself interested and didn't have a hard time.

Professor Siderow is nothing short of an amazing professor!!! She teaches well, is available for her students and really goes all out to make sure her students understand the material. She is a great teacher and makes even the most math-challenged student "get it"! I highly recommend her as a teacher!!!

Before Siderow's class, I had a serious case of mathphobia. She proved to be just the right antidote for this illness. Incredibly kind, approachable, and willing to help her students she truly is the BEST math professor I have ever had the pleasure of taking. She made calculus relatable, and even easy. I have taken her for 3 straight semesters now and get an A every time. The best math teacher at Csun, she makes sure that the class understands before moving on and acctually cares and teaches with tons of useful examples. she is one of the few math teachers that will take a class at the pace of the students rather than her own

i hated stats with the previous professor but with her i loved it...she is sooo helpful and if you dont at least pass the class with a B then you just didnt put an effort. she will help you if you need it and you will learn . I AM TELLIN U, MUST TAKE...and i hated math

She is a really nice lady, who explains things the best she can. The material can be confusing but she gives a lot of examples. She collects HW on the day of the test and just briefly looks at it. Overall she is good and would take her again if i had to. My only complain would be that she can grade her test a little unfairly.

Ms. Siderow is AMAZING at what she does. So helpful, so willing to make the material clear to students. She genuinely likes what she does, which makes all the difference. Three tests and a final, but one page of notes allowed PER CHAPTER on all tests. semester project is easy-just stay on top of your work.

She is really nice, can teach very well, has a master in this field and her test is basically off the study guide she gives you just different numbers. She gives 3 test and drop ur lowest one. You'll learn alot in her class. She goes fast so be sure u know your materials because due to budget cuts she has to rush through the simple materials

Very organized. Clear and concise. Keep up with the material and you'll do well. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Overall great teacher. If you guys have any problems with the homework she is willing to help you out. She REALLY loves dogs, so don't be surprised if the conversation goes on tangent. She does rush, so try not to waste her time with stupid questions, ask her during her office hours.

SUPER EASY PROF! she passes around an attendance sheet so if you miss a day you can sign in the next day. you're also given a review for each exam and she sticks to it for the actual exam but changes the numbers. one test is take-home and if the class is running slow she'll count is as two exams. hw is graded so friggin loosely its ridiculous.

So nice, answers all your questions, teaches well. Do all the assignments and purchase her notes package since it has all the formulas you need for the class. Do all the hw and her study guides and you'll do fine on her tests. Lectures fairly quickly, but you can always ask for her to slow down or for more examples. Got an A-, highly recommend!

wow this lady is so nice and makes stats so easy! i got an ! and I am that person who hates math with a passion! I suggest you buy a graphing calc if you dont already have one, it makes this class even easier! 3 tests, and final, drops lowest test score. Group project was a piece of cake!

Exteremely nice prof! She is always there to help you no matter what. 3 tests (lst one is take home) and she drops the lowest one. Her study guides are exactly what the tests look like so make sure you know how to solve the study guide problems! She also lets you use 1 pg of notes per chapter on the tests! She is the best in her field. The class is soo easy. 3 test, last 1 take home and a group project. she drops lowest test. HW you just copy in the back of the book. Her study guides are the same as the test. You honestly can't go wrong with this class except it's an 8am class!!!! Worth it though, easy A.

She went over all the material, dropped a test, and she was a really great teacher. Helpful & nice. There was just one issue I had. She went extremely fast over the new stuff. There was no time to understand lectures, you just had to write it down as fast as possible and hope it made sense later.

At first I was nervous about Trig but this professor helped me pass the final exam. I didn't really learn much from her lectures but I learned a lot more by doing the online homework and math lab workbook. She's straightforward; do homework, do good in all 3 tests. Remember the final is not by her, its by the math department.

I think Prof. Siderow doesn't need any comments since most of a people on the campus know her as one of the best and most fair math teachers. She really care about her students and try as much as she can to help them to get great grades. If you study just a little (when I say little I mean it) you definitely get an A in that class.

Attendance isn't mandatory but attending class will help a whole lot. There are 3 tests & a final and from what I remember, she doesn't curve them. She is very straight forward but sometimes she can go through concepts pretty quickly so make sure you keep up! Just do your work on time & study and you should be fine.

Prof Siderow is amazing. Statistics is such an easy class with her. Three Midterms and a final. If you are looking to take stats, DO NOT TAKE IT ONLINE. Tale it with Siderow. I just finished my last final with Siderow today and it was easy. All you have to do is go to class every day and do the homeowrk. Take good notes, you will need them for the test. Plus you can always use the review for your cheat sheet!!!!!!

She is so helpful when you don't understand a subject and is very generous. She wants her students to achieve and pass the class. She can get off topic once in a while and brings her little puppy in class like once or twice in the semester. Goes over h.w. and does give h.w. but will omit things not needed to know for the final. Stats was a great class because Prof. Siderow did many examples until we understood them. She cares and wants her students to do well. She loves her pets and talks about them alot, but she is still a great teacher and whatever she says will be on the test, that's what's on the test. Marcia Siderow is probably the best professor i had so far. Very clear and always willing to help. She always reviews the homework with you the next class meeting, however does not collect the assignments until the day of the test. She makes math very fun and interesting. One of the sweetest, most helpful professors you will find at CSUN. I am not that good in Math but she made me understand Calculus so well. Not only does she make what she's going to ask on the exams very clear, she also does a bunch of exams on the board until you understand it. She even drops your lowest test score. Literally the best Math teacher I've ever had and I've had more than a dozen. I hadn't a math class for over 2 years before I got into her calc class, but i learned more about math from her than all of my previous math teachers combined. Let us use cheat sheet for equations during the test. HW from txtbook, not online like other math profs.

I had Siderow for Business Statistics and she was an excellent professor. She was very helpful in office hours and always happy to answer student's questions. I got a C- in the class but gave it my all, so the class isn't easy. Would definitely recommend her for this class, she saved my semester.

Good professor, tried her hardest to make the class understandable for everyone despite the changes in the department thus affecting the class. The test were good since she gave study guides that were similar to the test. The lessons were good and Hw really wasn't that difficult, but you'll have some trouble once in a while. The final exam was okay

Great teacher, mostly talks about her dogs a lot but she gets the job done. I would likely take her class again. She skims over the homework just to see if you did majority of the problems and gives you a full grade. Her tests and quizzes are simple and straightforward. Final was a little more difficult though.

5 quizzes overall and your lowest grade gets dropped. She didn't really have a lot to work with for this class, but she still pulled through. I learned a lot in her class. At times she likes to take a break and talk about her dogs.

Before quiz days and exam days she goes over multiple problems so we can understand how to do the problems. Textbook is not required, she provides it to you as an ebook for FREE. A scientific calculator is definetly neededand she really does help you how to use it as well as letting you use it for exams therefore the tests are SUPER easy.

This was my favorite class. Professor Siderow is so sweet and talks about her dogs all of the time. Homework is online but gives 5 chances to get right, 2 test and a Final. 4 Quizzes. She gets off topic sometimes but she is a great teacher and you will know everything you need to know for the final. Need Graphing Calculator to pass easily.
