Ms. Swope is the bomb. She is energetic, and you have to stay on top of your game with her, but she is a good teacher. You just have to watch here closely, because she moves through her course rather quickly. Thumbs up for Ms.Marcia Swope.

She is one of the best teachers I have had. She makes a boring class very interesting because she is so goofy and energetic. You'll never stop laughing at her because she does something funny everyday. You have to stay on top of your game though because she messes up a lot, so check your work.

Miss Swope is a GREAT teacher! She is very helpful and she is very understanding. She uses WebCt for extra credit stuff and is always quick to reply. BUT if you have a difficult time with math, DO NOT TAKE AS A MINI-MESTER! She does assign a lot of homework. Most is easy though just takes up time.

A wonderful instructor, very caring and always willing to help. Very clear on assignments and due dates.

Great instuctor. She understands the areas that students have the most trouble with and insures they understand before moving on. Homework is a daily thing but a must to sharped your math skills. Great class for those out of the loop for awhile. The extra credit is a real plus!

I liked that Ms. Swope was enthusiastic while teaching, which helped hold our interest, and her emphasis on developing skills in this class that will serve us well in future classes. I also appreciated that she took the time to explain the relevance of what we learned in this class to real life.

If you want to pass the math class she is one of the best teacher to get. Really helpful but don t try to miss classes :-).. Always asking us to come to the lab or to her office after class. Im really gonna miss her. Thanx for all ur help..

Loved her class!! She has a way of gradually introfucing you to every chapter of math. She will not go to another without first having you understand the previous one. She genuinely cares for her students and the success and failures. Class was always fun and entertaining but you also left with a wealth of knowledge.

Best math teacher in the world. I love this lady. She goes out of her way to help her studetns individually. The student just has to be able to put in the time and go to the lab and her office for the extra help. Ms. Swope is the best.

Best teacher ever! I didn't understand math before I was placed in this class but she makes everything very clear and easy to understand. She does assign alot of homework so it's not a good class to take if you don't care about understanding math, but if you want to learn than it's a great class to take.

This teacher really cares about the students and is very helpful. She will go out of her way to help students in class and outside of class. If you come to class and do the work you will pass this class without a problem.

I think that Ms. Swope is a very fair teacher. She will help if you ask for help and she will help tutor you in the lab and on Fridays..the help is there if you need it, you have to be willing..I made a B in the class, could of made an A if I put forth more effort. I wish she taught the next math levels that I have to take.

Kindergarten (you spelled it wrong) doesn't do notebooks. I guess you didn't take college success skills which that is the first thing they teach to do in college. Learned a lot in her class. I got an A.....

She is really nice but i felt like a college student in a 1st grade class. I think she talked to us like little kids at times but this as an easy class and she gives you lots of breaks.One time though i was ahead of the class and she told me i was wrong bc we werent learning that yet even thought it was right. Pissed me off.o well.take her! EASY A

She was very helpful! Her office was always open if you ever needed extra help. Her directions and assignment layouts were clear. If math isnt your best subject, I recommend taking her class!! She'll make it easy to understand and fun enough to make you WANT to understand!

I really like the way that Mrs. Swope teaches. I am really bad at math and I can only learn what I am interested in like most people. She makes things very interesting and has little sayings to help you memorize stuff even more.

Really good teacher, as long as you come to class, do your homework and take notes then you'll be fine. She's very outgoing and not real strict on absences, thought I wouldn't miss too much or you'll get left behind. Overall great teacher, wish she were teaching the next math I have to take.

I thought she was a good teacher. She can be a bit silly/stupid sometimes but overall made math fun. She doesn't make you feel stupid if you have questions. You have to go to class or you will fall behind.

Great Instructor

I absolutely learned every single math concept in this class. The class was fun to be in, time passed quickly (this was a 1hr 40min night class) and the homework was just enough to make sure we knew what we were doing. Thanks Ms. Swope, you did a great job! =)

She is a really good teacher she is very helpful and her teaching is clear and understanding if you ever need help she would be willing to help you! I go a A in her class and it was not hard just come to class and you would do fine.

She is so goofy! likes to sing and dance and keep things interesting. She reminds me of a more energetic version of Stewie's mom from mad tv. It was an easy class but she is helpful, gives lots of oppurtunites to ask questions, and explains things well. Also, LOTS of extra credit.

I haven't been in school for 21 years. I was terrified of taking Algebra in college. Ms. Swope was exactly what I needed. She's friendly, approachable, patient, and skilled. If you have the chance to take a class with Marcia Swope, jump at the opportunity. There are few like her.

GREAT TEACHER!! Very clear and helpful. Attendance and homework are important, but she will even reward you for doing your job(a lot of extra credit). Ms. Swope is funny, and she'll always find a way to keep you awake(remember it's Math). She also gives a review before each test and as long as you do it, you'll get As. Prof. Swope is the best. I love her teaching methods. You do assinments she asks at home, you come in and she goes over questions you might have for half of the class period and the second half she teaches new material. If you have to take a prep class, i highly suggest her. she is a professor that cares if you get it. she wants you to pass.

She goes over almost every hmwork problem to make sure you're comprehending the material! The tests are EASY! She explains things very clearly and is super NICE!!

Wonderful Teacher!!! I needed this course for a refresher in math and took her in a mini-mester so the class went fast, but she is great with offering you help if you need it after class. She gives you so many chances for extra credit, she gives extra credit just for showing up! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

very nice, sometimes comes off like shes teaching a group of 1st graders. mosttly the class just laughs it off though when she gets like that. Helpful and will stay after to help you understand something. goes over any and every problem you need. overall i enjoyed the class. not stressful at all. she picks up hmwk b4 tests, so lots of time to do it

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!! I failed this class and re took it with her and got a high A.I suck in math and I didnt get lower than an 85 on an exam. she gives sooooo much extra credit and she teaches so clearly. she gives hw every night, but it helps. I honestly dont know what im gonna do with out her next semester.

Professor Swope was the most remarkable teacher I have ever had. I just completed the summer 6 week course, and it was extremly tough. Professor swope assigns alot of homework. The professor gives extra credit for attendence and praises you when necessary. I would recommend this class to anyone, and I wish her the very best in her endeavours!

I see some say she treated them like they were 5 years old and I have to say she did...But that's because they act like children. I have never seen students talk to a teacher that way. She is a good teacher and I recommend her class.

Ms. Swope is an amazing teacher. I was moved from another class to her class a little ways into the semester and let me tell you it was the best decision ever . She gives lots of homework which helps because the more you practice the better you will become at it. I would HIGHLY recommend her. I wish she was teaching the next math that I need.

Ms. swope is the first professor I had and I think she is the best one I recomend her to Anyone who does not understand the elementary math, she explaines problems very well. Swope is awesome. She really breaks it down for students, and is always happy to repeat as necessary. All questions get answered, and she sends out emails for individuals if she notices they're having trouble - usually youtube vids showing helpful techniques for the subject. Practically impossible to fail.

Swope is a great teacher. She's so nice and she's always willing to work with a student who has trouble. She usually always extends quiz dates and sometimes reopened past homework. the online tool was extremely and was basically the reason why i passed this class so easily, she can get a bit annoying with her side comments but i'd reccommend.

Super nice lady and adorable. I failed my first semester of traditional math and Marcia was recommended. I passed this semester with an A. She's great! If math is your nemesis as it is mine, take her studio class. The only way you can fail is if you are extremely lazy and don't do the work. Practice makes perfect! Attendance required!

The most helpful and understanding teacher I no. she talks a bit fast when trying to pull it all together in an hour so make sure you take good notes. highly recommend

Mrs. Swope is a no nonsense instructor.Her expectations are made very clear straight from the start. Her grading is very fair and she allows you to earn extra credit.She is very helpful and quick to respond to emails. I noted that there was minimal textbook use because I was in the Math Studio Class which is done on the computer.

Prof. Swope is very strict on attendance and her instruction. She will go out of her way to help you but ONLY if you are truly trying. She does not put up with nonsence and she moves quickly with the content. The class got difficult, however I finished with a B but it will require effort. I would take her again. This was a studio course.

LOVE this lady! I took her for MAT0018 and MAT0028. Passed 18 with an A and 28 with a B. Honestly, I HATE math and I struggle with it. I LOVE the way she teaches! She puts videos in with the assignments so you can refer back to them if you are stuck. She is VERY helpful and truly cares about the success of her students. HIGHLY recommended!

Literally one of the best teachers I have ever had If you have a chance to take her I would recommend! Class was very easy to follow, as well as her working with you like crazy to get your grade up. Lessons were very clear. Just have to repeat myself when I say she is amazing!

This was my first online course - she spent time explaining to me how it would work and what her expectations were. There was always clear communications and remiders about exams. You have to do the work to pass but I do believe she would help and did help several times by reopening assignments to see if you could get a better grade! AWESOME!

She's probably one of the best math teachers on campus, and one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She cares a lot about the student's academic success, she genuinely wants her students to pass, and although she can be very insistent that you try to redo quizzes, she is overall a very great and amazing teacher.

Keep studying the materials, don't use a calculator or you won't know how long it will really take you to do the exams. Overall it's very easy if you understand how to do each problem correctly and if you keep doing your quizzes back to back.

Never had to deal with the teacher to much. Emailed her a few times and always answered back very fast with my questions.

Professor Swope is a good teacher, who cares about her students education. I took her class and did just fine. She answers all my questions. During the full Spring term, there was a few time we had a in class quiz. All homework were due every two days. quizzes were opened for five days for students to try one attempt to get the highest grade.

This was my second time taking this class with Prof. Swope. Both times she was extremely caring and fairly easy to get a hold of. Had some issues with that first semester, but no issues this time around.

Was easy to get in contact with and was very helpful when needed.

She really is a helpful teacher. The class isn't hard because of the teacher it's an algebra course which for me is automatically hard. Miss Swope makes algebra do-able! She makes the impossible possible I think.

She wasn't as great as she was in my previous math course. It seemed like she wasn't all that into our class. Felt like she rushed through it. And going to the studio didn't help. You ask a question and they show you a different way. Be prepared for a lot of homework. But overall, she is a very good professor.

Ms Swope is the best professor I've had at Santa Fe. Math, specifically Algebra, has always been difficult for me. I withdrew from 1033 prior to taking it with Swope. Most of the things we were taught were difficult, but she is very good at explaining the information and will teach you until you understand. If you make the effort you will pass.

Passed this class with flying colors in a mini-mester. If you follow the Calendar Ms. Swope lays out at the begining of class and make sure to do every assignment you will no doubt do well in this class. I have never been an A student in any math class but decided to give online a go and with Swope I was able to reach my full potential.

She is amazing. Very visual when teaching the class. If you do not understand something she will make sure you do. Also, you can come to see her for office hours and she makes time for you to do that and go over things. Math isn't easy for myself, but she has confidence in everyone she teaches.

Ms. Swope is a great math professor. For an online class she gives alot of online material to help your threw out the course. I took this class in a mini semester and passed with an A and I suck/hate math. Easy to contact and response back quickly. I would suggest you work at least an hr or 2 for 4 to 5 days a week if you struggle with math.

I took MAT0018 online with Mrs. Swope and I have to say that she is amazing. She actually cares about her students and is always willing to help. She helped me tremendously and I wish i could have her as my professor for every college class!!

Professor Swope cares about her students and goes beyond to see to it that they pass. If you're generally good at math, you will not have any issues passing her class. Homework was due on Saturdays and a quiz on Sunday. I barely used the textbook because she gave us notes and videos to study with. She gives many chances to pass. Highly recommend!

Mrs. Swope was very available. Took extra steps to clarify things. Made the time for me. Would help when she could with any possible partial credit on questions. Provided me with useful apps for making PDF files, to scan Exam papers in with. Those were pretty cool and I had no idea they existed.

Gives out homework consistently.. but it's easy and super helpful. Her instructions are very clear and she is so sweet. She cares about her students success and the way she explains things I misunderstood helped a lot. Three exams.. all around 30 questions and a final.

Professor Swope is a great teacher. The reason I received a D is because I do not understand math and have so much trouble. Her math videos are very helpful. Mrs. Swope has always returned my emails and answered every question that I asked or needed help with. I do recommend taking her class.

Professor Swope's class is challenging, but she genuinely cares about her students. Use unstuck AI along with the provided resources to stay on top of the work. Attend every lecture and you'll be rewarded with a solid grasp of the material.

Loved Prof. Swope she was amazing and super easy to communicate with. Gives amazing feedback and super helpful when it comes to any questions, I took my class online which for some is harder due to the learning style but as long as you keep up with the work getting an A is easy. I wish she didn't retire because I would have loved to have her again!
