One the most AWESOME math teacher on North Campus...He is an easy guy and is laways ready to help a stuedent in need, I wish I had taken him for all my math classes.

The best math teacher ever! He was very thorough with his lectures and tells you what you need to know to review for his tests. He was very helpful and went over homework problems, which most teachers dont do for some reason. Would recommend him to everyone!

Very Easy going guy loves to explain the material if you have question. i got a B in the class and i never get anything better then a C so i feel very comfortable with him and i really did understand his concepts and the math.... if you are not that great in math you will love the multiple test question that he gives and you will understand him...

He is a godsend to the math program. Is extremely delicate with the material and getting students to understand math.

Very understandable teacher, taught exactly as all teachers should. Explained very well and never hesistated to explain an equation a second time. Currently taking for MAT1105

Horrible math student, he is fair but not easy. If he knows you try very hard he will pass you. He likes you to communicate. Lots of his old students take his next level with him again. Quiz every class, tests are similar to homework given. Awesome teacher!!

I took this professor more than once, not because he's a good teacher but because once you've taken him for one class you'll be so dazed and confused that you have to take him again,. Whenever he gives you homework and you take it to the lab for help. Trust me, no one there can help you cause no one has ever seen anything like it before. GOOD LUCK

This class was very confusing.He expected you to go over every example in the book and there would be questions on the test that we never went over in class and never did for homework.People took him for college algebra and said he was a great teacher, and when they took him again...they were very confused!

Mr. Echenique is a very good professor. He is willing to help you whenever you need help. The test is not that hard as long as you study. There are quizes at the end of each class. If he lectures on a section and you do not understand it, just ask and he will explain it to you. He is a very excellent professor!

This is a difficult class no matter who teaches it. I think this professor is patient and helpful and as with any class, you get what you put into it. Yes, I had to study nonstop, but looking back I feel fortunate to have had him as my teacher. I learned more then I ever expected.

I took his online class. It was difficult but I don't think he made it hard it was just the subject. I shouldn't have taken an online math it is tough unless you have a tutor who can teach you everything each week. If you don't need the lecture you will be fine.

He is one of teh goood teachers on campus. He is very helpful and he wants his students to get what eh is teaching. I was not doing very well in the begining of teh class, but he spent lots of time with me, getting through the class...and he is kinda cute.

Was the best online professor I had a BCC. He took the time to answer questions, was always there for us and really wanted us to succeed in his course. Would highly recommend him online.

I highly recommend Echenique! Go to class, pay attention, take notes, and study and you'll pass. He's a great teacher and always willing to answer questions after class. There are several quizzes but there's only 2-3 questions on them and he takes off the 5 worse quizzes. There are 5 test w/multiple choice questions, he takes off the worse grade.

The teacher is ok, make sure you take great notes and do the HW most quizzes come 4rm HW. 4 test and weekly quizzes drops the lowest test and quiz grade. Pay attention and u will do fine. Not an easy class but the teacher explains very well and gives great examples. Go to every class b/c the quizzes cover what you learn in th previous class

He cares and will try everything possible to help his students. I took his online class and even though I was nervous about it, I soon felt I was going to be fine. And... DO communicate with him, he is understanding and helpful. And his class is awesomely organized, not like some other online courses.

Makes himself avail out of class if help needed, no prob explaining things & helping. Took it in 6wks, very fast paced, but he made it work, missing class puts u behind w/ the material. difficult subject, need to do the HW consistently, he brings BCC to the university level of professionalism w/o sitting in w/200 students. Dr. Ecchenique is quite skillful in the subject and very organized, you'll appreciate consistent personal study habits in your final grade. Wish I had taken his calc courses. He is an awesome teacher. He's humble, very organized, and knows the material extremely well. He has no problem helping if you ask. Since he explains everything so well, if you do the suggested homework, you will pass. Like anything else it takes a little work.

he is very helpful and class is very easy but you do have to study. he gives you points just by trying out a problem adn at the end of the semester gives you an extra points assigment that it counts as a test grade (100 points) and on top of that he drops the lowest test grade... he is great, best math teacher i ever had.

Takes attendance, Great prof gives you all the examples and tries to get all the mistakes out of you by making the class participate. The higher math course the more HW that needs to be done. when I did HW I got a 101 when i didn't got a 55. HW is essential. Highly recommended

This handsome instructor is mellow and has a calm essense. He's observant and learning the "language" of math is very important to him. I've had these confused expressions and he'll ask me where I lost him. Just keep up with ALL his notes, do the online work plus attendance is vital. And he WILL help you, just be prepared to work and speak up!

Echenique is pretty straight. He's to the point and really wants to make sure you are learning the material. He will ask questions and class participation is definitely a part of his style. I wouldn't try to hide though because he will notice and call on you. Take good notes and do well on the tests! There's only 4 of them and then the final.

Very straight. You want an A do you homework and practice every time you can. This is the only way math is learned. I like his voice a lot.kindda of sexy.

I went into this class thinking I was really going to struggle because Math just is not my subject. I ended up with an A, and confidence that I will continue to do well in Math. I loved this class, it is easy if you just study and do all of the work. Test are multiple choice!

He is a great professor! i loved his class. i would suggest that people take him for any class he offers. although he doesn't give reviews for test if you do the homework and quiz on mymathlab you will pass the class. he is very clear when it comes to teaching lessons so if you strugggle in math he is the professor for you.

Overall he is very good math teacher. His attitude is usually good but he does have a temper is you do anything even a little bit disrespectful. Review the chapter before class, do the homework, and you?ll be fine. I?d recommend this teacher.

He is a great guy. I took Calculus at another school and did not do well at all. He applies the math to your major and really makes u understand the course. the exams are a little difficult but he gives plenty of opprotunity to ask questions even though he does not have a review. I would reccomend this class for anyone that is goodin math GO GATORs

He is a very good teacher if you pay attention. I am horrible at math and he made it clear to me. If you have any difficulty he is willing to sit with you to help you understand. VERY EASY if you study and do your work. I highly recommend him, just dont be late and he will respect you

This guy was very nice and helped you learn. He didnt tolerate talking in class. Everyday worksheet and he went over it the next day, 4 tests and a final. He was the best professor i had yet at BC I strongly suggest you take him.

I had a bit of a hard time in the beginning of the class, but once I got used to his teaching method, this became a far better experience for me. He is a GREAT professor, so long as you study a lot AND do homework (crucial)!! He's there to help with anything, so long as you're doing your part. DEFINITELY recommend him!! :)

This class is exactly like pre-calc/trig in high school. If you remember what you learned then you will have no problem in this class. He uses mymathlab so even if you dont get it in class the program helps you out immensely. If you have any questions just ask and he'll go over it. He doesnt answer emails but the class isnt as bad as everyone says

I took him for Friday class only, the class goes fast!, however mymathlab helps a lot, and he explains pretty well, he is very helpful!! the grade is based on 5 tests, mymathlab, and final. I got an A!!!!

Not too good at explaining but all test questions are out of examples in the book or homework questions. I got an A but had to do a lot of work on my own. Will work with the class everyone a good grade, may let utake home a test to redo it and get full points.

I really like this professor, however, we did a lot of work on Aleks, which I hated. If you follow and keep up with Aleks, then you should do fine. He does well with retaking tests and preparing. If the class in a whole does well/poor then he caters to whatever is needed for success in the class. Really good teacher.

Hate the subject, but GREAT teacher! He taught me alot in 6 weeks than 4 yrs of highschool. He explains everything and use videos as extra examples. Attendance is a must because everyday its a lesson. he has an online homework called ALEKS, its annoying but it helps ALOT too. He's cool and funny too. Highly recommended.

I took him for both 1033 & 1105 fast track. Very helpful and tries to explain everything from different angles. Not lazy like other math teachers that just use the D2L videos the entire class. He actually cares if you pass and if whole class is trying and failing he curves!

Great guy, he surprisingly made calculus fun and interesting. He has been teaching a long time and is good at what he does. He will always explain if you dont understand something. He is very accessible and in my experience an easy grader. Even though the tests are very challenging, you will learn a lot in his class.

Before I was scared to take this class because I didn't want to, but if you take him I promise you're in great hands. Calculus made plain and simple just use homework as practice.

if you need to take college algebra or MAC1033 at north campus take him he goes over everything with you he shows videos in class and then does his own examples and he puts up a practice test before the actual test and all the questions on the practice test will be on the actual one. he also works with you and your grade.

Funny, helpful, had interesting things to say. Do all the homework, not an easy A but definitely not impossible. A great professor is willing to explain down to minutia, after class, for as long as it takes, he does. Take him.

Not the best teacher, but pretty good. he sometimes makes mistakes while solving problem and also asks really broad questions(you'll see), but that's not a big deal. He is always willing to help you if you're stuck on a problem. No mc tests, so make sure you study. If you do all/most of the homework and always study, you should get an A.

He has a few bad ratings that really undermine just how great he is. He deserves to have way better ratings. He is a funny professor and a great guy in general, really laid back, but at the same time it is COLLEGE math and focus is key for him and for you. TAKE HIM, study hard, work hard, and you will get an A and actually learn algebra.

Great professor, only problem is that he explains math like he's talking to other mathematicians...unless it's just me. He's very understanding and will help you but personally, I suck at math. Took him for math redesign. Laid back and pretty funny sometimes (MAT1033/MAC1105).

Out of all the teachers I chose at BC this was by far my most favorite one. He's very straight-forward and will continue to do examples if you don't understand the information. Presents the formulas and math in a way that's easy to understand by everyone. Helpful and understanding if you're going through something through the semester. Would take.
