The easiest 4.0 I ever got. Take her online Creative Writing 1 because it is really easy. She is a really nice lady too. Definately take this class to raise your GPA!

Her online creative writing class was awesome. She gave me so many great tips to help make me a better writer and we had so much fun reading the poems and stories that everyone in the class wrote. If you like to write for fun, take this class!

I took an online creative writing class with Marcie. She was a good teacher, and pretty well organized. With some assignments I would have appreciated more helpful criticism, but she did always help me find at least one way to improve.

Hands down the best professor I've had so far at Green River. She explains the material well and connects it to current issues in a way that makes you appreciate end ENJOY it! She's really funny. She'll develop your writing skills and genuinely care about your success. Participate in discussions and do the homework and you'll get a great grade!

I took Marcie Sims class last quarter (fall) online and really enjoyed what I learned. She doesn't grade tough. You just have to make sure to do the assignments properly and on time. I enjoyed the topics our class wrote about. Main thing I recommend is that you pay attention to the instructions on the papers rather than assuming you know. :-)

Ms. Sims is by far my favorite instructor. She's funny, intelligent, and compassionate. She cares about her students. Her assignments are very detailed most of the time, so if you follow them you will get a good grade! DEFINITELY take from her if you get the chance!

Marcie was AMAZING! I loved the class, and she was always very helpful if I was confused on something. She took her time to explain the confusing aspects of grammar, and by the end of the class I was very confident with writing essays. I would take this class over again in a heartbeat!

Homework every night but it gets so easy once you get the hang of it and it truly makes you a better writer. The stories we read were interesting as it was contemporary stuff. Marcie is understanding and kind, very organized, and this class is an easy 4.0 if you do your work and put effort in (not even that much). My favorite teacher here for sure!

Marcie is an amazing instructor! Truly cares about her students and her class. Very clear on grading and what is expected. The stories were interesting. A few group projects, but she grades them fairly so even if there is a slacker your grade won't be effected. Pretty easy 4.0 as long as you take the time to read and come up with a good analysis!

Ms. Sims was an awesome professor. She is very passionate about English & about her students. She is also extremely nice & funny, which made class go by quickly. She assigns homework almost every night but it always easy & follows a template. Getting an A is easy as long as you attend class and do the homework, which she grades easily & quickly

I enjoyed Ms Sims class and learned a lot. She makes sure to present information in multiple ways to accommodate all types of learners (visual, auditory, etc). There are a few different group projects and quite a few readingsassignments, so be prepared to work hard.

I took Marcie twice (technically 4 times because I was in her hybrid classes) she is an AMAZING human being and so so sweet. She genuinley cares for her students and loves to hear your opinion on the assigned literature. I thought I was a good writer from the start, but she made me so much better! One of the best teachers I've ever had.

Ms. Sims is one of the best professors. I had her in the Fall 15 quarter for the Learning Community class Eng 101-160. She was helpful, understanding, and genuinely cares about her students and their learning. She pushes your boundaries and if you are not a writer, she can definitely turn you into one. If you are a writer, you'll prob love class

Even though I'm not really into English and all that, I absolutely loved her class. She is an amazing human being, is so sweet, intelligent, and really easy to talk to. Class discussions are welcome and intuitive and you'll learn a lot from her. She certainly made me into a much better writer. There's a lot to read, but not overwhelming at all.

Trust me, she is the best teacher in GRC. You will feel glad that you took her class...

Best teacher I've ever had. I've taken four classes from her. The perfect combination of in-depth English teaching and thought-provoking lecture. She makes you work but is a generous grader. Do all the work, read the prompts and listen to her feedback and you'll get a 4.0

Professor Sims is one of the best teachers I have ever had. The class did not have tests, but instead focused on analysis of the readings, which really helped me learn the material. Her teaching style is excellent for those who need extra help in order to perform well, but do not take this course if you do not intend to put in effort.

I went into this class after failing the online ENGL127 with professor Lowe which I found terribly difficult. Marcie is a very easy grader, I got 100% on the final paper that Lowe would have given me 80%. Often there were times where it was unclear what we were supposed to be doing. Email her if you have questions, she replies quickly.

She gives good feedback on your essays. Part of your essay grade comes from if you have correct MLA or whatever format she's looking for. Overall, it's an easy class if you do all the homework. She's an understanding professor and easy grader.

Let me put it this way: she's SPECTACULAR. Hands-down one of, if not the, best professor I've had in all seven quarters of Green River. She's genuine, kind, and really makes things easy to learn. Very specific in what she wants, and as long as you give it to her, you'll get 100% on everything! Bottom line: TAKE HER IMMEDIATELY!

Ms. Sims' class was extremely enjoyable. She was always very friendly and made all her assignments fun throughout the quarter for creative writing. She was very enthusiastic about the subject and gave helpful advice in places that needed improvement. I wouldn't say exactly an "easy A," however this class wasn't difficult almost at all.

Easy to get a good grade if you work for it. She has you write a lot of papers, but she's available for help and will give the occasional extension for you if something comes up. Very organized with what is due when and gives you enough time to complete assignments. Caring and funny.

This class was amazing. I learned so much about writing and loved the peer review workshops. We wrote poems and a short story througout the quarter and I loved flexing my creative muscles. As long as you make a sincere effort in this class, and meet the deadlines, you will do great.

One of the best English professors out their. Her womens in literature class is inspiring and you learn so much from her as a person and about how societys have functioned. If you ever get the chance to take her class, give it a chance. Though you can never get away from the papers you have to write, its worth it.

Intro to Shakespeare/ENG101- Ms. Sims is an excellent teacher. You are graded on attendance, but not enough for it to weigh down your grade. Expect a lot of homework-- this is a 10 credit class(2 hours). Group projects, often along with oral presentations spread throughout the quarter. Will make arrangement as long as you let her know before hand!

Ms. Sims is by far the most passionate teacher I've ever had. She shows a genuine passion for not only English, but also for society. She encourages students to think about things they've never considered before and is a very easygoing professor. She appreciates any effort from students and is very accommodating to each students' needs.

I got by just reading the poems/short stories and not the chapters. First 5 weeks we had a weekly assignement that took a bit of time but wasnt too hard. After that we started working on the final 7+ page paper and every part of it was reviewed by classmates in discussions before turning it in. Fair grader and offers examples of the assignments

This class was really easy. She is an easy grader for all of the essay. There 3 small essay and one final. There was a presentation for our finals. Overall good teaching styles and there were lots of reading and discussion on poems and stories. There were lots of homework to do about the readings. Lots of partner works too.

Attendance isn't graded or necessarily mandatory but there were a lot of in class discussions and stuff to turn in on paper so it's better to just show up. Shes an easy grader in this class as long as you meet the requirements of the assignment. All the readings are provided and easy to understand. All the topics are very interesting.

Lots of discussions and online responses due weekly. 7+ page final paper and you need to have the minimun 7 pages. She does provide a lot of examples and information for the assignments and that was always helpful.

I took English 126 online over the summer. This class involved a weekly short essay based on the readings. The final essay was an elaboration on one of the shorter essays. She is picky when it comes to MLA formatting. I suggest doing this class in person, it may be more fun. Don't procrastinate and follow instructions, and it will be an easy A.

Very easy grader and extremely kind. Skipped class but she was lenient and still allowed me to turn in work. The workload is light and she gives detailed feedback that allows you to improve.

One of my favorite English profs that I have ever had! She is so sweet and lenient. Her grading was really easy, but if there were obvious errors then she would comment. There is a lot of reading and assignments with peer review which was really helpful for the final paper!

Sims' ENGL126 was completely online, and she assigned daily readings, a discussion/reply, and a weekly essay. She gives you the exact layout/example and steps on how to analyze literature making it really easy and simple for you to follow. Sims is a concept based grader, she's easy to reach and a very kind teacher. I highly recommend!

Professor Sims is incredible! Her assignments are clear and include specific instruction. She is easy to reach outside of class and is always respectful and nice in her messages. You can tell she really wants all of her students to be happy with their grade. For me, following the directions ask rubric resulted in 100% on every assignment. :)

I took a joint course with Johanson/Sims, ENG126 was combined with Phil 236 and it's my favorite class I've EVER had. It had me thinking outside the box and they were so understanding and gave the best feedback. Grades were good as long as you tried, especially since this class has to do with POV. Very kind, very approachable, helps to think bigger

Great teacher and a fun class. There is an ok amount of homework, but it is not hard. She is good at explaining and helping you out if you are stuck. The best English class I have taken.

SHAKESPEARE THEMED: She is a amazing instructor for when we write essays she gives feedback that will help you for the next essay. Currently in her class she likes to make the class feel relaxed. Lots of reading but you discuss the play's in class.

She's a great professor and very understanding. She extended so many deadlines for me and excused me out of classes when sick. The only thing is, you do have to put in a lot of effort, there are many assignments and papers but everything is done step by step. If you actually want to learn, put in effort and acquire new skills, definitely take her!

Sims was a really good teacher. She gave grace when you got in assignments late and overall the class was pretty easy. The only extensive amount of work you have to do is your short story workshop, which is pretty fun to do if you enjoy writing. I would recommend to choose this teacher.

I quite enjoyed this class, it taught me a lot about writing and introduced me to the world of poetry. There's lots of discussions and opportunities to share your writing in this class but it can be a bit redundant and tedious towards the end of the quarter. Ms. Sims is really nice and supportive overall.

She's a kind professor! If you're late with an assignment she will subtly remind you about it once, and as long as you do the work every week you should get an A, she's a kind grader and gives good feedback. The weekly work isn't difficult at all, just writing and occasionally poetry which is fun.

Choosing Professor Sims' class was the best decision I've ever made. Not only was she very nice but she was genuinely understanding. There are LOTS and I mean it by LOTS of writing and typing, so I advise you to take this class seriously and use all your resources to excel in it. Maintaining an A isn't hard as long as you do your part in it.

The professor is very kind and understanding about late work or other circumstances. Getting a 4.0 is very easy, you just have to turn in the assignments on time and follow the timeline she gives you. Make sure to attend the classes because you have to work with other students for participation.

The only thing annoying is the peer review of your essays since your peers are all of those running start students and house wives.(No disprespect but the better option is the professor give advice herself rather than pass to peers)The grading is good and you will get an easy A by submitting your assignment on time. Highly recommended.

Overall an easy A for the course. The script reading may be a bit harder but definitely learn things from the course with both the contents itself and a scratch of film analysis.

Professor Sims has been an amazing teacher and definitely one of my favorites. She wanted her students to learn and was a fun teacher. If you do the assignments and participate in the discussions you will do well in this class.

Professor Sims was great! There are no lectures but there are daily homework assignments and online discussion boards. The assignments took about 30-60 minutes daily and are pretty easy. She is a very nice grader, and as long as you put the effort in and follow the directions, you can end up with 100% in the class. Highly recommend taking her!

Overall, this class is pretty easy if you do the work. She is a generous grader and almost always awards full points. The only annoying thing is all the peer feedback on discussions, which is almost every one. There is homework everyday, lots of reading and writing but if you do the work you will get an A.

Took ENGL& 101 + ENGL& 220, and online ENG126 with this professor. Would definitely take this prof again. Incredibly kind, caring, and understanding. Easy to reach outside of class. Generous grader, and gives reasonable (if not plenty) amounts of time for assignments, essays, etc. Instructions are clear and specific.

The teacher is great, and the class is pretty simple overall. For the first 6-7 weeks you read 1-2 stories a week and you summarize them and connect them to one another, which you will use for a essay for the last month of class. But overall she has a clear criteria and has a few extra credit assignments.

Very nice and quick responder to emails. In terms of coursework you read 1-2 stories a week where you summarize and connect them for the first 7 weeks and you work on a essay for the last month a class regarding those stories. But overall easy and she is a easy grader.

Most understanding, forgiving professor I've ever had. Late assignments still graded with full credit, the readings are always easy and interesting, the final paper is done over the span of a few weeks with a lot of peer reviewing. Super easy. 100% recommend you take this class, I wish I needed more English credits.

Probably one of the most enjoyable classes where she is a very easy grader. For the first 7 weeks you just analyze short articles and do a 1-2 discussions a week but very simple and easy, but for the remaining weeks you focus on a essay which was pretty simple. Also gives few extra credit assignments.

Literally the chillest grader ever. She's so nice and sweet. For the first half of your course all you do is read like two 2-3 page readings each week and then answer a few questions about them, they're pretty easy. Second half, you write a seven page paper. Also very easy as the way she makes you go through it makes the process easier.

Prof. Sims is the sweetest professor. English is my favorite subject, and Prof. Sims genuinely makes it so much fun. I've already taken 2 of her classes, and I plan on taking more! There is a bit of reading material, but nothing I can't manage. Also 2-4 assignments a week, but usally 1 or 2 of those are just a discussion. Highly reccomend!

Prof sims is such a great Professor! I took her joint ENGL101 and ENGL220 class and currently taking ENGL126! There are assignments everyday but they aren't really hard if you pay attention and they only help you for essays after each play. She's really good at explaining techniques and she's always down to help especially looking for sources!!!!

TAKE HER FOR AN EASY 4.0!!

I loved having Marcie Sims as my professor, in the fall. I get warm feelings thinking of being in her classroom. I struggled with anxiety/procrastinating deadlines, & she gave me grace. I felt so seen by her because she knew I was a very hardworking, I just needed more support - she believed in me & pushed me to become a more powerful writer.

I've taken a class with Prof. Sims, and she is really sweet, I would say the most caring professor in GRC. However, I have a little bit misunderstanding with her and to be honest, I really don't like the way she deal with it, as she just listen from a one-side and grade you right away. But in overall, it was a really fun and memorable class for me

Professor Sims was such an amazing teacher. I went out of my way just to make sure I took her class, because it filled up quick. Her assignments are super easy. A few poems you need to write, discussions and feedback, and final short story. One of the most fun classes I have ever taken. She is absolutely caring and a fair grader.

She was very caring and sweet! You have to read a lot and also write a lot, but the assignments are mild in terms of difficulty! I think for class we had discussions, writing assignments, and reading material for the workload every week. I highly recommend her class!

Ms. Sims is a really great professor. I took her English Composition class with her Shakespeare class. Together the classes do require a lot of time outside of class, but once you get a rhythm it is very manageable. Ms. Sims thoroughly explains her expectations for assignments and is very understanding about any conflicts for her students.

Prof Sims is a great teacher. She's very nice and understanding. The class was okay, she did her best to have every engage with each other. I took her Shakespeare class, Be Ready to Write a 2-page paper every week. Overall her class isn't as challenging. She does check for AI-generated things so be careful with that.

Only need to write one paper for the whole quarter. She graded very easily, just submit the assignment on time and follow the instruction to get full credits. Ms Marcie's class was really good, she took things slow and manageable for everybody. Her work load is quite manageable, her final exam is a presentation of the books used. Her class is really good class for an easy 4.0

I took Professor Sims for ENG126 but I'm also currently taking her for ENGL&112. She is awesome! Fast grader which is wonderful for knowing how you're doing in the class. It's quite a few assignments but really it's just reading short stories & answering short questions so I wouldn't call her homework heavy or reading heavy. I would take her again.

Very nice professor and is understanding
