his class is not hard, just learning the material. fair instructor overall, recommended.
As long as you do the assigned hw you will do well. I did better than I expected to in his class.
this is a really bad teacher, does not know how to teach. not encouraging at all, gets irritated really fast and expects you to know what he is explaining.
He does not teach well, if you ask him a question, he wont answer it. This professor expects you to know everything. Trust me look for another alternative. Do not make the same mistake I did.
He only expects you to know stuff you learn in 8th grade. Every hw question is answered. If you show-up, do hw. his class is cake. He is the most reasonable teacher, but does not put-up with you if you don't do hw or are absent.

HE DOESN'T CARE, he took off the entire semester... he didn't teach anything, and his exams were really hard... aside of that.. he failed a lot of people in the class.. he is just TERRIBLE!!
I you can't answer 1/2 + 1/3 within 4 secs, you don't belong in college. You are probably the one who wrote the previous comment. I took his class years ago, and it was one of the best I took. Though lots of fools couldn't add fractions: He got blamed too
1/2+1/3 =5/6. so I know it. Maybe that is why I did well in his class. He gave all the details needed, but I agree, no fractions no success in his class. Isn't fractions a middle school skill? Think about it!

He is very easy teacher, he explains everything and he is always there for you. He is nice.
all u have to do is go to class EVERYDAY, take notes and pass the weekly exams and you will do fine. he CAN be mean so dont get on his bad side.

I got news for you complainers, this class is easy. You are expected to handle 8th grade math to understand it. When you blame the instructor that means you learned nothing, you move on and waste your time in some other class...again.
He is very unclear. Math 102 is supposed to be an easy class. He made it much more difficult than it should have been.
he would sometimes add things up wrong and would hate it when i corrected him, he was not too fond of me but other than that its an easy class, just show up everyday.

He is a very nice & helpful teacher. Very straigh forward and always goes over problems that you don't understand. I understood everything he went over. His tests are okay if you understand what you are doing, usually there are 15 problems. Oh yeah he can be funny at times. I recommend him!!!!:D

This teacher knows how to teach. He is really funny made me crack up alot, he is a good,the way he explains things is clear and straight forward. His tests are not that bad if you study for them. I recommend him, I know other students taking other teachers and they are going through hell. I recomment you take this guy, besides hes kewl

Very BAD teacher! Frequently gets confussed when he's trying to teach a concept. Students in the class have to figure it out for him!!! Does not explain things well. Puts things on the test that he never taught. Couts correct answers wrong on tests. More than half the class is failing-even people who are normally get A's in math! NO A'S!!!
I have never failed a class before! but let me tell you, no one has been able to get a a or a b in the class, 3/4 have already stopped attending, yes he is always late and the test dont go with the hwk! its his way or to bad! i tried so hard to pass this teacher and its impossible.. stay away from this idiot
Umm, yeah. He is not very helpful. Try avoiding him if you can. I still passed the class, but I barely did. Most of the time he shows up late and you can't really understand whats he saying sometimes. Not a very good teacher.

Always late to class. Randomly left in the middle of a Review session the day before the final... saying he is going on a walk. Something wrong with this prof. Problems on the test ARE NOT taught in class. better off not going to class and just studying from the book cause he occasionally takes problems straight from the book.
its so strange how almost half and or a little more of the class failed the course, and the math department seems to not pay attention to issues like that, if they see that nearly most of the students are having difficulties, then something must be wrong. But anyhow, not a good professor.

He's a pretty good teacher. He's really funny. He lets the tutors do most of the work but he does teach the lesson well. He's usually late to class so dont worry about being on time. I would suggest this professor for 093 but maybe not for higher level classes.

he's cool. he has the TA's do most of the work but he explains the lessons pretty clear. he doesn't offer any extra credit and takes roll at the end of every class. he is late most of the time too. if your a hardworker and dont think you'll need extra credit- take him. if your a slacker and want an easy ride do not take him.

I was very disappointed with Prof Enriquez, he didnt teach at all just wrote the examples from the book on the board. No extra credit, retakes, or help. Really cool TAs. He was always late. Really thick accent and kinda rude
I remember that he would just come into class teach for a short while and the rest of the class was dedicated for class work. He does offer help and has cool TA?s to assist you if you need help. I highly believe that if you enter his class you have to meet him half way and dedicate your self to know the material only then will he help you.Hes cool

THIS PROFESSOR IS THE WORST THAT I HAVE EVER TAKEN. He doesn't care about teaching or his students. He basically sits on his computer for the whole class and doesn't even teach a lesson. Beware.
I agree with all of the negative comments. I just started his Math102 course, and i am already lost. He teaches directly out of the book and doesn't expand on concepts. If you ask a question, he merely reiterates what he had just said. DON'T take him!!!

he is terrible. cannot explain what he is teaching. we had students correcting his work and his test questions are harder than anything he does in class. Does not help students or respond to emails.

The WORST teacher ever, was lost the very first day (literally), I thought I loved math, until I took him, sad part is that I ended up not adding his class after I witnessed how bad of a teacher he was, I would NOT recommend this "teacher" doesnt answer questions properly. I'm not sure how the students who remained in his class did it, im baffled.

He is boring, doesnt teach, and doesnt care about whether you pass or not. If you take this class, dont expect to learn much.
teacher is usless, material is easy if you teach yourself. He is either on drugs or all has lived with his mom too long. Cant add but can solve logarythms in his head and wont teach you how. boring and has a heavy accent
He is deffinatley my favorite teacher so far, i felt he tried very hard to connect with individual students and the class as a whole. has a lovely accent and is hilarious. Easy A, everyone passes, super helpfull, only problem is he cares too much. thanks marcos, for being there for us <3 ur class
Prof. Enriquez is a horrible teacher...but the material was all pre-algebra, so it was really easy. But I would highly recommend to not take him if math is not your subject. AVOID!!

He could seem rude and have an attitude but the BEST stats teacher. I have taken stats for the second time as well as other students in the class and we all agree that he is the best in explaining the course. No need for fancy calculator and he sometimes goes really fast during lectures but overall GREAT :)
Although he is rude at times, he is undoubtedly the best stats teacher I have ever had! I took this course in high school and failed. He might go fast at times but is very open to questions. He thinks he's funny, and sometimes he is but most of the time he isn't. There are 4 tests and a final. Homework is collected on test days. TAKE HIM!
He's a nice guy, but really impatient when it comes to students who don't understand the material. HE definitely notices if you miss class, and it DEFINITELY affects you. You need the book during every class, as you do group work after the lecture. The lecture is very short, and not very helpful. He is not very good at answering questions.
Really Really Good Teacher. He is Nice Once Your In His Class For A Long Time. Cares About His Students Alot And Tries To help Them By Telling About Tutors. He Is Not The Best Person To Ask A Math Question One on One. But Is Very Clear In His lectures. I Would Strongly Recomment ThisProessfor To Many Incoming Freshman with Math 92 or 93
He grades the tests very very hard. It's impossible to get a good grade in his class. Half the class dropped out or failed. Avoid.
Professor Enriquez is a very good professor, a lot of people in his class that complain don't know the material at all, there are kids that can't even add fractions in his class, and if you can't add fractions, what are you even doing in college? I ended up with an A in Enriquez's class, and he's not rude at all. All slackers will fail.
Good professor. Knows what he's talking about in most math subjects, but when it gets tough, he tends to just use the book to explain the material. Avoid if you want an easy class though, he teaches things extremely thoroughly.
Professor Enriquez is the best Math professor at CSUN no doubt, a lot of people think he is hard, he is not hard if you study and read the book, take him for any Math overall he can teach the class better than most professors can, I'd recommend him for 105 or 140 or anything else. He is very interested in his students success and it def. shows.
He was rude and very straight forward at times, but he taught the material well. As long as you attend class everyday to take any surprise quizzes and do all homework, you'll be fine. He gives no extra credit so it's important that you do all the work assigned and STUDY!
Professor Enriquez is a very good Math professor, if you are good at Math and want to get even better take him. If he's teaching Stats take him, Siderow sucks.
Not a bad teacher. Knows what he is teaching and if you pay attention you'll do fine! Make sure you go to class & get there on time!! His TA's are the best, they are usually the ones that help.
The overall rating on here is far from the truth. Many students lacked the basic knowledge of mathematics ie. adding fractions. He is a very good teacher and explains things fairly well. It is also very important that you get to class on time and do the homework!

I'll just say this, my friend and I were in two separate classes of his and combined out of around 80 students only around 5 passed. Avoid him like him plague, he doesn't care about you he only cares about his paycheck.
He is a good professor, and he knows what he is doing. He has a clear way of teaching. Therefore, If you pay attention in class you will do good.
He's a great professor, just talk to him he needs to get comfortable/used to you for him to give your the answers you want. He gives a lot of hw, very OCD and straightforward teaching. He mostly teaches the lesson and the tutors help with groupwork. Gives a lot of hw but always puts it back in the system to be done again. Only cooperate with him.
I'm honestly surprised by all of these reviews, Enriquez is an excellent professor. At first I wasn't too fond of him, but as time passed he really started to be a pleasant professor. He is very caring towards his students and wants them to do well. He gives out a lot of homework and the tests are quite challenging, but it is possible to pass.
