Cute teacher. Down to earth and understanding. Lectures come from Powerpoints and labs performed. Test are easy if you follow the study guide he provides. Extremely helpful. Class usually ends early and he will stay and answer any questions. Enjoyable class. :)

Professor Marcus is an excellent teacher. He is very patient, understanding, helpful and most of all a pleasure to have as a Professor. If you don't understand something, he explains it until you do understand. Any student would be lucky to have him as their Professor. I was lucky enough to have him, he is great!

This class was interesting, the beginning of the semester was a little testing. Mr. Norman makes sure you understand the information not just review it.

Marcus wants his students to understand the material and succeed. He explains everything clearly, and provides excellent study guides. His tests can be tricky, but if you do the reading and attend the lectures and labs, you should do well. I would highly recommend his class for a non-science majors.

Marcus wants us to learn and understand the material. He tries to make everything easy and achievable. He's also something nice to look at when your zoning out if you have little or no interest in Biology. :)

Marcus is a great teacher who doesn't waste our time with trivial material. He is easy to work with because of his down-to-earth attitude. He talks with students like he would talk with friends...well maybe not quite. But overall, he made the class interesting & enjoyable. I'd recommend Marcus to other students.

Study guides were helpful but his use of slides (approx. 100 slides per chapter) made the class drag on forever. I do appreciate his laid back attitude and ability to breeze past the material we did not need to know.

Marcus was a very laid back teacher who made the information more understandable compared to complex in-depth biology. He was willing to help whenever needed. He made the labs more simple and interesting. Young guy with a bright future.

Marcus is an excellent professor. I highly recommend him for anyone who needs chem 120. He makes the information very easily understood and is really helpful. Also he understands that many students have jobs/kids/other classes and doesn't give you a bunch of unnecessary work. And you always know what will be on the tests plus you get extra credit.

This class is straightforward and pretty easy, which is nice for someone like me who is not especially interested in biology. Marcus has a good sense of humor and is seriously easy on the eyes, so that helps too.

I never thought I would've been interested in Biology- that's until this class. The instructor of this class is very casual and wants nothing more than your willingness to learn. He's willing to be flexible with the attendance if your work hours conflicts. I would recommend this instructor hands down.. :-)

I don't regret taking this class. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated and I got it over and done with without stressing my life away. He's nice and realistic. Now if your major is bio don't take this class you might get more from another section.

This was a very good class. He is a very easy going teacher, and knowledgeable to a certain extent. He works with you and provides you good feedback.

Take his class!! I'm not a biologyscience person && I enjoyed this class. He makes a study guide for each test, and the lab quizzes are simple if you use your lab manual. If you don't pass this class it's because you didn't put any effort into it!

Professor Norman is very laid back. There is not much homework, just the tests so make sure you study. He provides study guides and cannot be any more clear on what you need to know for the test. If you fail is because you didn't study. Questions are clear and to the point. It's Biology and I don't know that he can possibly make the class easier.

This was a great class with an awesome professor. There wasn't any homework which was great because most students have full time jobs during the day. We had tests about once a month that covered several chapters but he always gave us a study guide to help us be better prepared. Overall, the class was really good and I highly recommend it!

I think he's a very good teacher, can a little bit tough when you don't understand the material, but cares about his students at the end of the day. i feel he can elaborate a little more on the tougher topics or even spend time in those topics with the student, but in general... he's a good teacher.

Professor is amazing! His lectures and classes are full filled with interesting facts and automatically grabs my attention. My favorite thing about this professor is that he will not move on with a lesson unless everyone in the class understands the material. He always gives the option to ask questions after every section. Professor is great!

He is an awkward funny individual, but by far the best science professor at Reading Area Community College. his voice is kinda low and monotone, but he is great and easy just listen, and memorize. shame he doesn't have early classes.

Mr. Norman is HILARIOUS! definitely, one of the best teachers at RACC. He is really humble and understanding (as long as you don't take advantage). He is passionate about science and genuinely wants all of his students to pass. He's very helpful and is willing to answer any questions or go over material that you are unsure of. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who needs to take biology as a general ed. course. Norman lectures on the main parts of the chapters and does not require much work outside of class. Tests are very straightforward as he gives study guides and labs are not stressful or lengthy. He also gives multiple opportunities for extra credit.

As long as you show up and do what you have to do, you'll pass. His test are not hard (as long as you study) and the labs are not as bad as I thought they would be. He's very straight forward and is willing to help if you ask for it.

If you have take Bio and don't want to fail, take him! I hate science and was dreading this class to the max but I am so happy I got him cause he's super super chill and makes the class not so terrible. Talking to my friends who have other professors for bio make me extra thankful I have Norman.

One of the best teachers at racc. He says what he wants from the beginning and its either you do it or you don't. He's really laid back and is truly understanding, he has the funniest stories and helps you remember things with examples or he'll teach you how he learned it in college. One of my favorite teachers and I 100% recommend him.

Don't let his looks fool you. He is passionate about what he does and as long as you show effort, he will work with you. His lectures and labs are some what long, but are worth every minute of it. He wants the students to learn and has funny ways of having us remember things "Leo the lion says ger". Over all, he is an amazing teacher.

This teacher is very laid and easy to work with. He was current and gave you plenty of opportunities to bring up your grade. If you attend class and pay attention there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A. I definitely recommend him to anyone taking BIO. I was nervous about taking BIO but really glad I did. It was an awesome semester!

Honestly, if you go to labs and show up for most, if not all, of the lectures you will do well in his class. He prepares study guides for the exams which pretty much covers everything on the exams, so again,put in the time and effort and you will do well even if science isn't your strong point.

I'm so happy I took this professor ! His lectures were very clear and he gave the class many opportunities to successfully pass his class. Since he is young he can relate more and he teaches in a way so that we can understand being that bio is difficult. Labs are fun because we work in groups and they are interesting. Coming into the semester I was uncertain of Prof. Norman teaching style. Professor Norman is highly intelligent, professional, dedicated to teaching Biology. Mr. Norman's a cool guy. If you do the work, you'll do fine in his class. He also does offer an extra credit opportunity. He understands that not everyone is a bio genius taking the class because they wanted to, but because it is a required course. A few take home tests are given as well. The thought of taking a Bio course scared me because I have never been good at science in grade school. From the start, Professor Norman gives you the encouragement that you will pass the class as long as you do your part. Honestly, this is one of the most entertaining classes I have taken at RACC. Norman makes even LAB day fun. Plus he's cute, HA!

Such a reasonable instructor! loved this course. Gave zero homework and was very realistic as far as his expectations. As long as you are there for lecture and study this class shouldn't keep you up at night. Plus, he's not bad to look at either.

I found Professor Norman's class to be amazing. SHOW UP, that is the biggest trick to passing his class. You will be able to tell where he is placing emphasis and the things you don't really need. Overall he is a fantastic professor that actually cares very deeply about his students.

Professor Norman did a great job. Go to class, do the work, you will get an A. He provides up to 5 points per test in extra credit that are really quite easy to get. You will have to be a self starter, however this is a 200 college class, so they do not hold your hand anymore.

If you are taking A&P 1 I recommend taking Professor Norman class. You have to come to class because he goes over what is going to be on the exams and lab practicals which makes it a little less stressful when studying complex chapters. If you do the work you will get an A. He also provides a few extra credit points in labs & exams
