Great professor. In order to pass her class you just need to listen as much as you can on her lectures and then just study her power-points after class. The key to passing is her class is effort.

I liked professor Davies - she was consistent. I thought that she was really funny, made good use of the whiteboard, had fun assignments & I would be glad to have her again.

I had already taken this class at a previous University (transfer student) so I was at an advantage, but Davies knows what she's talking about. Exam are pretty easy, studying helps! READ THE BOOK (and notes) and pay attention in class. Exam questions (essay) come from in class discussions. Ask for help if you need it, she's very easy to talk to.

Good professor. Had never taken psychology and wasn't really interested in it, but it was a requirement for my major. She made it interesting and was very fair about class requirements. She gives a decent amount of work/tests, but she clearly explains her grading scale and sticks to it. Thumbs up.

Prof Davies is awesome! At first I was like "Oh, god. this is gonna be my teacher?" But now, I am glad that I took her class. For grading, it is extremely easy to get an A because she offers extra credit almost every other class(5 pts). Hw is minimal and you just need to study pwrpnts online to get As on tests. Will sign up for her other class! :)

She's very helpful and the class if fun. However I don't feel like I've learned anything this semester. You have to do a lot of the work on your own. If you like classes where you have to teach yourself this class would be great, if not, try another teacher.

I like her as a person. Tests can be confusing sometimes but its not hard. If you read the text and the power point, pay attention in class, and nail the study guide, you'll get the lovely A. :)

She is a very nice woman and it is not hard to get a A/B. Pay attention in class and review the textbook because that is where most of the material is coming from. She shows ALOT of videos and class so class is not stressful just do the group projects and study for the tests and you will be fine.

She is a nice teacher and is always willing to help a student who is having trouble. It is possible to still get a good grade in class even if you don't do good on the tests. If you help in group projects, do homework, and show up to class then you should be fine.

She is awesome! First of all EVERYTHING that is on the review sheet is ON the test. She is extremely helpful! She post everything online all her PP, homework sheets, and review sheets. Watch the PP before class and you wont be lost! Then read the textbook if you dont understand something from the PP. I took a 6 week course 4hr lecture T&TH.

Professor Davies was a good professor! I took her hybrid course where we only had class once a week. If you read and follow the syllabus, you will do fine. Many people in my class seemed to have great difficulty realizing that as they would ask the same questions over and over that are clearly written there. She has it all laid out on the syllabus.

I took a 6week course with Professor Davies class over the summer I thought she was awesome. Expect hw, theres a lot but it all helps and prepares you for the exam. I took her for a hybrid class and I loved the flexibility of being able to do work outside of class when I wanted. Then we met once a week to check if we understood everything. It was so much better than an online class. I would definitely take her again.

I LOVE her. I've taken her for many of my Psy classes. I would literally look for what classes she was teaching. I love her style. She is sometimes a little all over the place but as long as you know how to keep track of yourself, you'll be good. She is willing to work with you if you show you're willing to learn.

Professor Davies does not teach. She shows videos and goes over homework the whole class. She uses group presentations to teach her class, which is very ineffective. I do not want to learn from my classmates that barely know what they're talking about. Her tests are hard only because you are tested on things that you did not learn effectively.

i took her for 201 and i am taking her again for 202. she is really funny and will keep you awake during her lectures. she has quizzes almost every Friday and homework is almost always due before each class, but they arent hard. if she likes your class she will open up the quizzes you missed if you ask as a group. i would recommend her.

Professor Davies is amazing. She made psychology so easy for me, literally show up and do your homework on time and you'll be fine. She always gives a study guide for the tests and reviews to make sure everyone understands.

Her class is easy peasy. Just do homework and come to class most of the time and you'll pass. I did so much extra credit that I didn't show up for the final and still got an A. Lots of opportunities for do-overs, even if you miss a deadline. Plus she's kind of adorable and really nice.

She made 201 and 202 really fun. Anyone who had problems with her lectures is just trying to put her down. She is down to earth and cares about you in class and outside of class. She is knowledgeable and will talk about her past experiences which made the class fun. She gives a really good study guide which corresponds with her exams.

Professor Davis is amazing!! I took Psy 200 as a hybrid class in the summer(so a lot to cover in just 5 weeks) and everything was crystal clear. She made me feel super comfortable and really helped me out. Its best to finish things early since theyre pretty easy.( got an A) Definitely study on your own time. She does give extra credit.

I will take this professor again because she is very helpful she will find any ways and means for her student to pass. its a very easy class if you attend class every day because she deducts points from absentees and shes not hard on grades too. ill recommend her

There's absolutely nothing that I believe should change with this course. I absolutely loved it along with my other classmates who have slowly bonded together over the love of this class. Another bonus, if you ever miss 5 or less quizzes, one group presentation, or even the FINAL, you can gain free 100s through her large sums of extra credit!

Was not an extremely difficult class. As long as you get your attendance(worth more than the tests) and do the assignments on time, you should get an A. Kind teacher, easy to talk to, and she gives a good amount of extra credit!

Though her tests are hard, she is a excellent professor! She gives a quiz every week that's due Friday at 5 PM and homework due every class. As long as you do the extra credit and do what you're suppose to do, you will easily get a A with attendance and extra credit. If you get a A, no need to take the final! A pretty cool Psychology teacher. Super easy homeworks and the test is literally going to be based off the slides she presents and some are even word for word from the textbook. She's sweet and kind and definitely responds to emails and concerns.

Professor Davies is one of the best professors I have had in my time at NOVA. Although she cares about attendance a lot I didn't mind because I genuinely enjoyed going to her class every week. If you just show up to class and pay attention it will be a very easy A. She is very clear about how things are graded and each exam has extra credit.

Caring and enthusiastic. Easy A. There are mini quizzes online every week but they are open book. There is one group presentation but at the end she tells you what you need to get a A on it and lets you redo it. Sometimes, she is a little to extra for me with her enthusiasm but you wont find many professors like that at NOVA so I cant complain.

I love this prof. SHE IS THE BEST. I have taken psyc230, and 213 with her. Loved her class. You don't have to do finals if you get to a certain points. Group project is a must. Mid terms are a bit hard. Her assignments are easy and very good for your grades. She just wants you to work on them and that's it. Easy grader and an AMAZING PROF. Easy A.

Lectures aren't terrible and gives homework almost every class but its all easy and there is only one big essay assignment. Very easy grader as long as you submit something you pretty much get full points. Only con is that she is so obviously pro life and presented fear mongering videos on abortions that were clearly more opinion based then factual

Seriously this woman deserves a teacher of the year award. She is truly passionate about what she teaches, it's almost contagious. By far my favorite professor I've had at NOVA. Attendance isn't mandatory because we're grown adults but if you show up you're chances of passing increase by like 99%. Her work is fun and she provides extra credit too.

Professor Davies is very chill, not a harsh grader, and her class was easy. She is super heavy on the homework, but if you kindly ask her for an extension on assignments, she will give it to you. Took Professor Davies class this summer and to be honest it was a fairly easy class, she's super welcoming and kind. I would recommend her to anyone!

Amazing professor... She grades according to points. She requires you to do the test with your camera on, if you have 630-700 points you get an A and you don't have to do the final. She is very flexible but she doesn't allow late assignments. Take this class in 6wk I highly recommend it, there will be a considerable amount of hw but not that bad.

She is absolutely terrific; she grades material based on if you did them and she makes the course extremely easy to pass. I've taken her for 3 semesters, all 4 courses, she does this thing where if you get an A at the end of the semester, you're exempt from the final. If you fail her class, you really really tried hard to fail. Love her!

She's great and super sweet. She is very passionate about what she does. You can only fail if you do not try. She gives opportunities for extra credit and as for final exams you can skip the final exam if you have an A (there is no reason for you to not have an A trust). As for the textbook you can probably find a PDF online, look on reddit.

A very passionate and enthusiastic psychology professor. Ms. Davies's 7-week course is quick and assignment/work heavy, but it is completely manageable and simple. The class was super easy, the assignments/homework is minimal and SO simple. Her tests are super easy, only issue was the Zoom classes. She allows students to discuss things that are not appropriate for a class, like personal "trauma". This was too the point where we didn't finish our work because students talked too much.

I enjoyed her class! She is a good professor and is understanding. If you get an A in the class, you DO NOT need to take the final exam. The work is manageable as long as you manage your time. You are expected to read the textbook and/or take notes, so she only reads off the PowerPoints she provides. Overall, a good professor and an easy class.

Sweet, sweet lady. Her assignments are not difficult and she will always try and help you improve your grade. I flubbed the midterm a little bit, and she graded my following assignments and gave them a higher grade so I maintained a 100 in the class. If you need a class that isn't difficult and want to interact with people a little bit, this is it.

Professor Davies' class was pretty easy. It felt like a lot of busywork- worksheets and YouTube videos - but it wasn't hard to get through the information. We had one project that could be done alone or in a group, one closed book test, and one written final. If you had an A by time finals came around, you didn't have to take. Offers extra credit.

She is a very easy and understanding professor. My only concern is that her class is almost too easy. The APA papers we had to right were not exactly APA. If your degree is not in psychology, she is an amazing choice. If it is, she is still a good choice. Overall, a good experience and a good professor.

She was my professor for an elective and I'd never think I'd miss her class as much as I do. Her grading is easy, but her class is a blast and the atmosphere she creates is unreal.
