This woman is so hot she could teach a male any subject. My husband has been sitting out three semesters, waiting for her to teach the class he needs.

Great example of a laboratory instructor. Very enthusiatic, helpful, willing to do the silly things to help you remember and retain the material.

She's not easy but makes it fun to learn the material and tries to find ways to help you remember stuff.

If you can't learn from her it's because you're not trying. She does everything she can to help you learn the material using jokes and helpful memorizing tips. If you want to know the stuff, she's a great teacher to have, but she won't just pass you unless you know your stuff.

If you don't receive and "A" or "B" it is because of you and not this professor. She is there for you every step of the way, as long as you do your part. This is a difficult course not for the light hearted. I would recommend this professor to anyone! Be prepared to study everyday and give it 100%. If you do not do this you will fail!!!!!!!

She is a very nice person. She helps you out alot, BUT she does give quizzes that don't have much to do with anything she asks you about during Lecture. Lab is really fun with her, because she doesn't care if you mess up, and if you do, she will laugh at it her self!

ms gibson is a good teacher. this is a very difficult class and she made it somewhat interesting. she's very helpful and answers all of your questions. i would recommend her any day and will probably take her again.

This professor is great. She explains the material very well. As long as you come to class and study you should do fine. She does like a lot of pop quizzes. But I highly recommend her, and I'm making sure I get her for 211.

Don't expect to sail through this class, but do expect to know your stuff! It was taught in an interesting and fun way.

All these people that don't like her must be crazy. She has been anything but rude or unhelpful. You must not be very bright if you don't ace her classes, as she explains and teaches the content thoroughly. Not to mention she's kinda hot!

OK! i see that everyone has an opinion of her being a bit rude. But If u like anatomy, & have a mature attitude about school, youll love her class. Shes a very skilled teacher and FAIR. I took her BIO210 during summer. 2x a week...and u cant miss a class bc she does move quickly. She will never waste ur time by teaching u something not on an exam!

Overall a good teacher for someone who actually wants to understand and learn the material. She is a difficult teacher in the sense that her quizes are difficult and you can expect one every day. I do have to agree with the other comments about her being rude. She is unapproachable and does make you feel stupid (and I'm a straight A student!)

She is a good teacher, but she just needs to lighten up a bit.. her attitude is unpredictable. She makes it easy to learn, but when you take her tests, she has questions on there that she has NEVER mentioned anything about. But overall I don't mind her.

Ms. Gibson is a great instructor. She really goes the extra mile to make the class understand. I have recommended her to several people. I'm an "older" student (40-something) and she treated me the same as the younger students. I loved her class.

I only had her for the lab portion of 101 but she was 10x better at presenting the material than my lecture professor. I agree that she can be a little "snappy" but I actually found it amusing. Would recommend her to others.

Miss. Gibson is great, don't get me wrong her class is hard but she made it fun for my group. She got un involved and makes you care about the sudject. Don't take the class if you want a grade handed to you cause you do have to work hard it.

A fantastic instructor! I drive to Berkeley campus (which is a LOT farther for me than Main campus) JUST to take her class. She explains Biology in a way that ANYONE can understand... She does NOT just "hand out" A's. You WILL work for it. But you will know the subject matter when you're finished. I would recommend to anyone.

Excellent instructor who is on a much higher level of knowledge and instruction than that usually found at a community college. This may, of course, be why so many have had negative experiences with her. She does not hand-hold but will happily meet with students during office hours and go over whatever is needed.

This professor is not easy but she will make you learn biology better than anyone else. I was completely unprepared for BIO 211 before her class.

If you study the material, come prepared to class, come on time, listen and pay attention to detail there's no way you can fail this class. There is a lot of material involved in her class, but at the end, you will know more about the subject matter than other teachers that just hand out A's. Not to mention - HOT. Definate plus - Nice to Look at!

One of the best instructors I have ever had and being I am an older returning student I have had a few!! Don't expect to just be given a good grade. You will earn your grade in her class. She is clear on expectations and her notes are concise! You steer your own ship with her. If you pass her class you will know your stuff.

Great teacher. Very well prepared. Gives excellent lectures and has many ways of explaining things. She expects you to study, ask questions, and spend time in the lab. Fairly laid back as far as schedule. You will EARN your grade. I would recommend over other instructors.

Well prepared for lecture. Explains everything thoroughly so everyone understands. If she tells the class to really study/read something. DO IT. Learned more in her class than any other Bio class I've taken. She does not GIVE out A's. You WILL earn your grade. If you study, you will do well. She's very helpful IF you seek her help. Have recommended her to numerous other students.

I know a lot of students don't like her and I heard horror stories but had to take her class to fit my schedule, but it turned out to be one of my favorite classes. She is tough, but I have never understood biology before until now. If you don't do your work, she won't help you.

I can understand why some students don't like her but that's because they don't do the work and just want a good grade anyway. I want to learn the material to prepare me for my future and I won't take biology with anyone but her.

For those students who want to learn, this is your teacher. For those of you that want to skim by with the bare minimum, she may not be for you. She is the best instructor I ever had, but she does not tolerate students who do not do their work and then complain about their grade.

I know some students don't like her but in my class, they were the students that didn't do the assignments. I can only say from my personal experience that I never before understood biology until I took this class. I am taking all her biology classes.

She is tough but I am in the nursing program now and have one of the top grades in the class because of what she taught me. If you want to learn, she's your best bet.

I had Ms.Gibson for Bio 101 210 & 211. I have to say she was beyond the best teacher I have EVER had! She is VERY tough & will not tolerate people that aren't there to learn. The people I have come across that don't like her are the ones that aren't willing to put in the work. You will have a quiz atleast once a week but that's how you learn!

Very hard teacher but I have never learned so much. She will not put up with people that she feels are wasting her time, however if you show up to class participate and show that you are there to learn she loves to teach. If I ever did not understand something she would sit down with me and help me. Hard teacher but in the end a very good teacher.

This class was very fun and interesting. We learned about cool plants and amazing and sometimes gross animals. We dissected a lot of stuff. It takes some work to learn all the material but MsGibson made it really interesting.

This was the most fun I have ever had in a biology class. Mrs. Gibson knows really cool stuff about weird animals and other things. I show people the stuff from class all the time. I have already signed up for her next class.

If anyone wants a true opinion, I like that Mrs. Gibson doesn't put up with students who don't pay attention and are disruptive. Some of us are there to learn and she does not let others disrupt class. I love her class.

Ms.Gibson meakes class very easy if you do the assignments and study when she says to. I have never had a teacher who gave us so many practice games and quizzes on-line to help learn the material. If you don't do well in her class, you aren't trying.

Really fun class. I am so much more aware of all the stuff around me. I took my kids to the aquarium and I was able to teach them so much stuff that I had learned! They think I know everything! It was great!

Mrs. Gibson can be difficult and can seem like she is speaking down to people at time, however; I think she really does want her students to do well. I had no interest in Biology until this class. Mrs Gibson makes it fun to learn about stuff that I never payed attention to. Now I teach my kids the stuff I learn and they love it. They always ask me what's this stuff?

This professor is WAY to demanding for Community College. I'm not a slacker but I do not have 40 hours a week to spend on Biology. Seriously you are better off waiting a semester to take a more reasonable professor. Her lectures are good, but the quizzes are demoralizing, and identifying cells from specific creatures is a bit ridiculous. Stay Away

Anyone's problem with Ms. Gibson is only because they were slack in class and didn't learn the material. She will help you with anything IF you ask her. I know. I took her class once and failed because I didn't do the work. The second time I did what she assigned, studied, and asked for help when I needed it. I got an A.

The complaining students must be those who didn't study. As long as you study the notes Ms. Gibson gives you, you'll ace the quizzes. The questions are straight off the notes.

LOVE HER!!!! She is THE MOST helpful teacher I have ever had!!!! I have never understood biology before. I took it twice with other teachers because I was scared that Ms. Gibson was "hard". Then with her I finally "got it"!! She is awesome as long as you do your part and study!!!

Excellent teacher! Learned a lot, but be prepared to do a lot of studying. 200+ flash cards a week. Quizzes almost every lecture and lab. Extra credit is given.

I have taken Ms. Gibson for every biology class - 100, 101, 102, 210, 211. I would never take anyone else. She is the best instructor I ever had. She pushes me, but it made me do better than I have ever done in a science class before. Without her, I would not have learned anything.

This was the most fun class! You will learn so much cool stuff! It isn't easy, but if you study the notes she gives you, it is easy to get a good grade. All you have to do is study her notes. And she is really funny and keeps class interesting.

Definitely not an easy teacher, but very helpful with memorization tricks and she does try to make it as interesting as possible. Her Powerpoints are good, and you ALMOST won't need a book as long as you read them. Lab tests and quizzes are fill in the blank, and spelling counts so make sure you learn ALL of the lab material each class.

I can understand students that don't like her IF they don't do the work she asks. She goes above and beyond to make the class as fool-proof as possible and hard to fail unless you don't do your part.

I love this class! I can't believe the stuff she is teaching us about the things all around us. For class, she puts together a booklet of everything you need to know, including worksheets and puzzles and other fun ways to study. I even print out extra copies and do them with my kids and I am making an A. She makes it so simple to learn!!

This class itself was not easy, but Ms. Gibson made it easy to learn. I am a much better student now than I ever was before taking her class. I learned way more than just the subject.

I learned the hard way to do the assignments she gives and study the way she tells you to. I figured I could do it the way I wanted and I am dropping now because I'm failing. I will take the class again with her and follow directions next time!

Mrs Gibson was the best because she didn't just teach the biology but if you ask her for help she'll show you ways to study and better ways to take notes. I was studying lots of hours but not really learning anything. My grade went way up in her class after getting her help and it also went up in my other classes because of what she taught me.

My friend and I took this class together after another friend said to take it. We learned so much about different plants and animals and had fun learning. I've never had a class where you play games and have competitions and are so active instead of just sitting in a lecture class. I'm signing up for her anatomy class next semester.

I am taking my first Biology class with Ms Gibson after having another instructor who didn't teach us anything. I can't believe how well she is making me understand the material. When I told her that biology isn't my thing, she said she would change that and she is! It's still tough, but I'm getting it. Just don't miss class or you'll be lost!

I just finished this anatomy class. It was tough but I learned more than I ever thought I could. I'm going into nursing and I feel like I am ready for those classes now because of what I learned.

I thought this class was really hard, but she helped me after every class and I passed!! She's tough on students if they aren't taking the class seriously but if you do the work, she makes it fun with games and contests and stuff like that. You'll definitely be challenged.

She is a ball-buster. Very hard to take the class to begin with because of the material and she tries to fit in EVERYTHING. Quizzes every day, tests every two weeks, sometimes earlier. Extra credit is an extra question or two on assignments. Don't expect to get out early. Bring printed syllabus and note outline on first day. You'll need it!!

Best teacher I ever had for Biology. I'm taking her class for every one of my Biology classes.

My friend and I are taking her class and we both think she's awesome. The students that don't like her are obviously NOT doing their part in the class. She has stayed after class with me every single day for extra help. All you have to do is ask her. My friends and I are taking her for every biology.

I just finished my second class with her and she was more helpful than any teacher I've had. She gives you all kinds of ways to study and learn the information. If you do it the way she tells you, you will do great.

I took this class at main campus and didn't pass, but i'm taking it now and have a B. No one has ever explained biology in a way I can understand it until now. I'm working hard, but she is helping me a lot with ways to study. If you need help, you have to ask her. There's a group of us that come in before class every day and she reviews with us.

A couple weeks in to the 102 class and I'm loving it. I was worried about all the info at first but she makes it fun and gives you lots of ways to remember stuff. If you like biology, this is a great class.

I'm getting my first A in Biology because of her class and her teaching. She makes everything seem really interesting and makes it seem important. I actually want to learn more. I'm getting her for anatomy too.

I have taken three biology classes and will only take her as a teacher. She is amazing at what she does. Biology is a hard class but she makes it so easy and funny to learn. I did receive a C in her classes but only because I didn't study as I should have.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. While the course material was difficult, she made it fun and easy to learn. I had her for lecture and lab and her teaching style really made the time fly. We used quizlet live and kahoot a lot in her class and it was a great way to study. She took the time to clearly explain anything we had questions about.

Online lectures were every organized and clear. Just a lot of stuff to learn. Labs were fun and interesting if you don't get grossed out to easy.

It took me 2 tries to pass this class but the second time I asked for help and she studied with before every class.

I LOVED HER. i TOOK HER FOR 211 THEN WENT BACK AS A REFRESHER FOR 210 WITH HER. SHES VERY IN DEPTH, PROFESSIONAL AND MAKES YOU EARN YOUR GRADE. Took a lot of time outside class to help me with the chapters and get me ready for the online quizzes and the tests. I started out failing but ended up with a B once I knew how to study.

I took anatomy and biology with her and liked all her classes.

I had Gibson for 210 lab. She gives you everything you need to know for practicals and quizzes. She grades hard and spelling counts. She is funny but a little sarcastic sometimes. Overall, Gibson is helpful and a good teacher and you for sure need to study for this class but if you pay attention, try, and ask for help, you can do well.

She gives you packets of notes ("workbooks") that give you everything you need to know. You just have to follow those and you should do well.

She's an amazing professor! She is a hands-on teacher, and if you ask a question she will help lead you to the answer. She is clear in what you need to learn for the class and for the final. There is a quiz every class period BUT IT'S WORTH IT! Those quizzes honestly prepare you for the tests! I have not had a prof. like her, she has raised the bar

Professor Gibson is one of the best professors Ive ever had! Shes very helpful as long as you participate in class and do your homework! She is very informative! Bio102 is a hard class but she made everything understandable, which was very appreciated! Extremely fair grading and is a energetic, fun dedicated professor!!!

One of the best college professors I ever had. If you reach out for help, you will get it in a timely manner. Review the quizzes she gave before tests/practicals and you will pass her tests. All quizzes require lockdown browser and camera on. She is very caring and wants to see you succeed. As long as you put in the effort, you will easily pass.

Responds in a super timely manner, even has an IG account for BIO to message her on and is quicker there than email. I absolutely loved her. Great teacher, if you know the powerpoints then you will get A's on all quizzes and tests. I was all online with no meet times, she just uploads what you need to know and the due date and it was perfect! Easy

This was NOT an easy course. Toughest A at TTC to date. That being said, Ms. Gibson is a wonderful professor. She's passionate about teaching and puts an insane amount of effort into creating the materials for this course. I feel more prepared for university science now. Come to class, pay attention, do the work, and you'll be just fine.
