Boring, doesnt explain the material well, assigns lots of homework, and a research paper. A 2 part research paper in a STAT class! If your taking stat, look otherwhere.
She is very funny and a good teacher. If you need help she will def. help you no matter what..i liked her alot
well lets just say that if you have to go to a funeral on the day of a test, u can't make it up even though u show her the obituary and even if it says you can make it up on the syllabus. the lowest score of the test she usually drops.

don't take her. she doesn't give you examples of what she explained. basically just reads the text book. just don't take her. she laughs at herself n thinks that u know what she is talking about when this is the first time u are taking the course

this teacher seriously cannot teach...she doesn't help you..she doesnt know how to explain things..doesn't know what shes talking about..do not take her honestly..shes mean and your GPA will go down because of her class...I'm not evn supposed to be inthat class and she says she doesnt care.
Dont waste your time and money on registering for her class... she is the worst!!!
don;t take her class u won't get n e thing out of it. she says that it's her favorite but she doesn't sound like she know what she is talking about. drop the course once u find out she is the teacher. get out of the class well u can

Boring class, because I hate math. Shes pretty weird and boring like most Math teachers. I would pick someone else.
she's okay. not a good teacher because she pretty much thinks everyone is as psyched about statistics as she is. and half the time she complained because she didn't want to be there teaching. also, a little weird.
If you show an interest and are responsive in class, you will easily win her over. She is very sweet, very clear, very fair and thorough. She knows Pre-Calc very well. Study hard.
they should get ride of her. don't take her. drop the class, take L johnson she give open book n notebook tests.

This profesor is really bad. she doesn't know how to teach.avoid this professor that she goes to fast in the class and is too boring.
I thought Professor Gorlin was very nice. She was helpful when you asked. She seemed a little bored with the subject at times and would speed through it.
Hard to say about this prof. I dont think she does a great job in explaining the material but she does seem like she cares. If you have the choice and struggle in math, look elsewhere. If you know your stuff, she isnt so bad.
She is nice. Though her class is a little boring, but she teaches well. Tests are little harder,but if you do homework and study notes, its easy. I got an A in her class.

Good teacher. She is a nice lady who loves math! Always looking for more interesting ways to solve problems. I had no problems with her. She doesn't collect any homework, but loves to do projects! Tests are not that bad if you know what you are doing.
She is very helpful and open to any suggestions from the students. She doesn't check homework but expects you to do it and learn from it. That's the only way to prepare for her tests and pass the class with an A.
Should be a role model for teachers; always on time; extremely willingly helpful; fair; explains material thoroughly; Excellent teacher!
One of the best math teachers out there. Always on time, give 120% of her knowledge.
She is one of the best teachers i have ever had and very helpful.All her exams come from HW.If u r weak in Math u can take her because she explains everything.I got an A by only doing the HW.

by far the worsttt teacher i have ever had in my life. plays favorites and gets annoyed when questions are asked. it is impossible to learn in this class because nothing is explained clearly. she always seems like she is in a rush and is not at all interested or knowledgeable about the subject. worst class i have ever taken. plus, shes always late.
i'll put it to you in one sentence- she has no clue what she is talking about. If you're looking for a professor that is clear and willing to answer questions and help you out, professor Gorlin is NOT the way to go, especially if you have ZERO experience with the subject.
She is a very fair professor. Will totally work with you if you show a true effort. As long as you study and do the homework you should have no trouble passing. If you are not a math person like me though, you really have to work to get a good grade, but she is still a good professor overall.
Her teaching does not help at all. It just confuses you more, everyone in the class did not understand what she was talkin about. I only passed because I had to get tutoring help from someone else.
Not a bad teacher just not a very good one. If you know what your already doing youll be fine but if you need more help try someone else
An ok professor. Dont really remember her class that well, but for Algebra II her tests and quizzes werent too bad, if ur just taking a remedial class she isnt too bad
Statistics is a pretty annoying subject. Not only are there long problems, but you also have a professor that really doesn't know how to explain it in a way for you to understand it. I didn't sign up for her, but wound up with her(probably because the best professor was full). You will learn more by doing the homework and reading the book.
Do not take this professor unless you know somthing about statistics before entering this class. This professor teaches as if you have knowledge about the material. She told us if we read the book, did our homework, and came to class we would pass. I did all of that, and some extra credit and I still struggled.
awful teacher. incompitent of helping students and or teaching. her method is terrible and you will not understand her. dont take her. i had her for a remedial class and just passed it. she it not a good teacher and doesnt make time for you at all. and her grading is strict, no curves and no extra credit. nothing. WATCH OUT
I had her for stats I, and refused to take stats II. I got an A in the class, but only because I taught myself everything. If you have never had stats before DO NOT TAKE HER. 3 tests, cumulative final and 3 projects. You're allowed a page of notes for each test, I suggest you write EXTREMELY small because otherwise you won't pass.

she was awful. and very confusing. i had her for statistics and she teaches like you know the basics already. and she skips around teaching things that are in the back of the book first
Hands Down...Horrible, she might like math herself, but she does not know how to explain it. The only way i passed this class was because i got a tutor. When she explains something you end up more confused then what you were. she also has this weird thing when she teaches...she giggles when she is explaining a problem
I had her for Calc I, and she was excellent. She's a good mathematician, and she's good at explaining the material. She's patient, and answers any questions you may have. If you really want to study and understand calculus, and not just take the class to get academic credits, she's the best professor. I have benefited a lot from her teaching.
I loved Professor Gorlin!! She is so helpful and always has a smile on her face. Before her class I hated math, but now I love it!! Thank Professor Gorlin :)
She will make you love math even if you have never liked it. Statistics have never been easier to understand. She is a ray of light among all my professors. I miss her. YOU will do yourself a big favor, if you take her class.

This course is tough, there's no doubt about that. Professor Gorlin did a fair job at teaching the subject, but I felt as though she expected us to know about the topic before entering the class(which most of us did not), and therefore skipped much of the fundamentals of stat, which made the course tougher than it had to be. Overall, not bad though

The material isn't easy, but she is thorough, if not a little haphazard, in her teaching methods. Projects are well explained, but much of the course material comes at you quick during class time. For me, most of the learning was done at home. page of notes for each test helps a ton. Difficult and challenging class, but she's funny and sweet
I really thought Professor Gorlin was really nice and she explains everything well. If you have a question she will answer it in anyway that makes sense to you. Shes's funny and I would love to have her again.
Don't take this professor easy as that. she doesn't know how to teach she is very impatient when it comes to a student needing help. Unless you want to teach yourself are extremely good at math or want to end up in the tutoring center right after that class I highly recommend don't take her
Gets angry if you don't understand first try. She thinks material is so easy that we should understand it first try.
Only goes by her way and if you don't use it on a test you fail. Don't ever take her and if u do God be with you. Horrible explainer and hard test a lot of hard tests
Honestly, she's the worst teacher I have EVER encountered with. She is rude, and old fashioned. Get ready to use packets for the chapters. If you want help, she'll give you an attitude because you won't understand because she says "we should know this already". She's very rude. And if you ask too many questions, she'll get annoyed. Hard tests.

Not a good professor for Stats. Her PowerPoints & teaching style was useless for me. Her tests are okay but require a lot of studying. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone
Save your Time and money and take this Class with Mr. Kim. She was the worst professor I've ever taken. She rambles. The Online Homework doesn't reflect her tests or quizzes. It's literally waste of your time and money at the cost of a small % of your overall grade. I failed this class and retook with Mr. Kim spring semester he's A LOT BETTER!

People that fail her class , only fail because they don't pay attention or just doesn't take the course serious , but if you do all your work and actually pay attention and go to her for extra help, I guaranteed you will pass with a high grade. I passed with a 90
To be honest she is pretty tough but she is very fair and very helpful. She gave the class extra credit oppurtunities not all professors do that. You have to pay attention and do all the homework to understand what is going on in class. If you try and put the effort you will pass not an easy A.
She gave all the notes and answers all questions carefully. She also gave lots of extra credit to boost your grade. Not an easy A but fair.
Take this class if you want to fail! Shes horrible, skips class frequently, and dont know how to do the problems. Wont meet you in office hours.
Awful professor. If youre looking to fail a class this is the right choice. Goes over lessons very quickly and doesnt know how to explain and interact with the class. Worst professor in the whole campus.
I highly recommend you NOT take this professor. She's very unclear in her teaching style. She'll outright tell you she will not answer your questions. It is often that she is not there for her office hours (and there are NO TUTORS), missed 4 classes within the first 1/4 of the semester and makes it clear she's going to give and do the bare minimum.
If someone wants to take her class be prepare to work hard.
I learn a lot, and she cares. She asks for feedback, so we can learn better. If you put the efford you will pass with A. She answers questions and practices examples with us constantly.
this Professor practices constantly with us in class. it was so easy to pass the test because she gives us all the tools. we can practice online too.
Took this class last fall it was required. She explained everything carefully, gave notes for everything, and answered questions. I did well and learned a lot. I transferred and was well prepared.
She was fine and gave a lot of helpful notes so that we didnt have to refer to the textbook as much. She also gave good study guides for exams and if u take the time to do them, you will pass exams. Only struggle for me was the excel labs because she was not that clear in explaining but other than that I would still take her again.
i have taken her for three semesters and if you respect her then the same will be showed back and she is always willing to help just ask for it
She can get boring at times, but that is not an excuse to not pay attention to her in class. Subject is difficult but if you at least try, you should be able to get at least a C in the class
Does not know how to grade. Even after consistently emailing, she would not grade the assessments.

I am not one to ever give a bad rate my professor, but Prof Gorlin made the semester so hard. It was an online course, and she was never accessible (via emails, canvas, etc.) It took her a month to respond to my email about an assignment. Her grading for labs was bad, as she would forget to grade sections. If you can take another professor.
Terrible. 25% of your final grade is based on the labs that are due every 2 weeks, and for the first two labs we have to use this software called R that looks like it's not even from this century. I would be okay with this if she actually taught us how to use the software instead of giving us assignments and refusing to help us. Do not take her!
This class was a little challenging, but the teacher provided all resources needed to be successful. She is very smart, so she was surprised at times when students did not know answers. Still, don't be afraid to ask questions; she wants everyone to pass. Take a lot of notes and pay attention to the calculator functions. ( Focus on R coding section)
The final exam weight was changed last minute, which felt unfair. Her lectures are hard to follow, and many students who studied still struggled. The tests don't reflect what's taught well, and it made the class more difficult than it needed to be. Take another professor...
A very nice lady and a very generous grader (give you credit for work even with the wrong answer!) but difficult to understand at times. Unless you are willing to teach yourself basics of each module before class so that you are able to engage with her, I wouldn't take her class. Don't be fooled by her tone she's very nice.
ig it depends on the subject too but she did not explain stuff well at all and was straight up rude and disrespectful when u didn't understand what she was doing. took her "hybrid" class which means u have to teach urself DO NOT DO IT!
Very sassy and such a late grader. Entered grades last week of class from assignments completed first week of class which tanked my A- last second. Lectures for the entirety of the class with a very monotone voice that makes you so bored, sleepy, and heavily consider skipping class (better chance of teaching yourself the course at home).
