Learned alot, was a fairly easy class for this 2.7gpa student, made an A.
I took an online course, and although the work was challenging, she made it interesting and fun. I dreaded taking this class, but in the end I am so glad I did because I learned alot.
she was ok, though at times a little overwhelming with her answers.

sometimes talks too much. ok made an "a".
excellent art teacher. very involved. show up to class and get an easy B. her tests will give you writer's cramp though cause they're all essay.
This lady is a great teacher. I took her my freshmen semester and got an A. Guest speakers and field trip, part of test. Ask extra credit questions about her pets on the test. Very easy class take her she is cool people.
Everyone should take this teacher. She is very easy and I love it. I hope more teachers can be like her!!! Take Her You Would love her!!!!!
Each week we had one discussion question and one comment question that went to the whole class--these were easy. Three tests, all essay, each answer was 3 pages long, double spaced, 4 questions on test. One research paper on item at museum. If you do reading, you get easy "A",I did. She responds right away, easy to talk to.
A twelve page paper for the tests due in one week after assigning it?!? VERY BORING! She is not helpful or understanding at all. DO NOT take the internet class - the class is probably horrible in person too.
ok class. I took the internet course; assignments were somewhat easy, but you have to be a confident writer. Lotsa writing. Lotsa BS'ing on lame topics. Lame teacher (really wholesome), but ok.
Took on internet, great prof./answers all emails/is clear/exams are 4quest.but in essay form.Follow book & instructions & you'll do fine.Easy to talk with.Hmwk is not a brain breaker, you truly will enjoy learning about art/great class/highly recommend
Great professor-very helpful! Responds to emails quick and overall, class is very interesting!! A lot of writing and thinking..good for the brain! Two weekly questions-one to the prof. and other to listserv (classmates). Exams are only four questions and min. of four pgs. each..not too bad..you have a wk. to do them. Recommended.
Supercool prof. Really interesting and easy to talk to. I'm not really into art, but she made it a very good class. She does require a lot of writing, but I got an A without working too hard. I took the night class (3 hrs, once a week) and the time flew by. Lots of videos.
Artsy stereotype, very nice... loves to debate, just to bring dialoge to the class. always trys to make people think outside the box, you will never be right in her eyes, no matter how strong you argue, fun though to argue w/o retribution. BS your way through all papers and exams, will still take an A home or al very least a B. Recommend
you have 3 tests, one of them being the final. i BS on all my tests and made a's on all of them. you have two papers, one you do over a piece at an art museum, and an interview paper you do with someone who basically does something creative. again, I BS on my papers and made a's on both. I ended up with an A in the class. It's a good class to d
Wonderful and positive professor.
Took online course, the hardest course ever. Tons of paper to wirte. In 6 weeks section, 3 papers each 12 pages minimum, plus a 6 page museum paper.Be prepared if you are like me, someone hate writing. Hate it!
This is a writting intensive class! All tests are essay form (4 questions) and answers must be 5 pages 10pnt. font! There are two tests and a final along with a seven page paper on a piece of art of your choosing. She is super helpfull if you have questions and will work with you. Overall very informative class, just requires time. Easy A.
Teacher was extremely helpful. You really have to apply yourself, be disciplined. Took the computer-based course and yes! there was a lot of work involved. I learned a lot. The class is not for the immature student.
I felt like I was taking an English class, first assignment wrote paper without having book, teacher said she didn't understand and didn't accept it. Withdrew from the class, do not take if you have a career. I work 12 hours a day and assignments were time intensive. (Tests were 4 questions, 3 pages each.)If you love to wrtie, you'll do great.
I took Greco's internet course and it was similar to other courses I've taken previously. The exams were 12 page papers, but fairly easy if you gave yourself enough time to complete. The weekly assignments were really easy, I got an A+ on everything I turned in.
This internet course is very writing intensive and time consuming. I agree it is for the mature student that is willing to put forth the effort. I also work full time and took 15 hours and managed to get an A in the course. So the course is not impossible. The instructor is very helpful.
Good professor,I took Greco's internet course and yeah lot's of writing, but you learn a lot, and professor Greco is always there to help you. I would recommend you to take professor Greco.
The book, we did not even use it in class but to see the pictures. Tests are essay form, but if you listen to just what she says about the book or the movies(in her words)then you have your essay(test) done for you. She basically wants to hear what you have to say about the topic,&if you can tell the difference from European tradition & modern time.
it was easy for me, and i don't even write well., but i tried. it was good to see her point of view about the art world. i like the class and give it a 8 out of 10
The class was writing intensive with a seemingly short prompt (question) but she was really looking to see that you had assimilated the information. Definitely for a confident, mature student. Would recommend the class. I enjoyed it.
Do Not Take unless you want to write a 12 page essay, for every test, one of the questions was to have a conversation with yourself about art...3 pgs long...and the prof is picky, this class feels more like an English Course. This porfessor is notorious at Sac, I wish I would of known prior.
Online: I did more writing in her class for one test than one of my composition II essays! Exams are 12 pages, with four questions and three pages per question. There are three exams, and she is very picky about you citing lectures with the book. Overall, she communicates well. I received a C because my tests were late and she took off 30 points!
If you do NOT like writing, do NOT take this class! I love writing & sometimes found it difficult to come up with 3 pages on one simple question. The professor can be a little unclear about what she wants, but once you get it down you got it. Made an A in her internet class. Do all the assignments & tests with citing from text & lecture & youre goo
Class is easy as long as you do the work, and read the text and lectures assigned. Discussions are fun, and assignments are basically applying your knowledge from reading and creating your own opinion from it. Professor is very understanding and was always there for assistance. I would definitely recommend this professor!!
very nice teacher just attend class and pa attention, took her for a summer class and enjoyed it! you do have to write but not that much? only at the end of the semester a 9-10 page essay but it is not difficult, trust me i hate composition class:P (did not take online course-face to face)
Took her online course and was dropped for non-attendance after missing 2 classes. Very easy curriculum and received good grades, however not a very friendly or helpful instructor. She needs to work on clarifying her instructions, she usually contradicts herself with assignment requirements and does not clearly state what is wanted.
She won't let you turn anythin in early. You have to go on the day the assignment is due and I think she is a little crazy for not lettin us turn it in early. And IF YOU DONT LIKE WRITING DONT TAKE THIS CLASS.
Does not return emails, does not have a firm grasp of the English language - proper grammar or spelling. Will reject assignments turned in early, and also randomly extends due dates when it fits her schedule. After taking her class, I understand why she is not a tenured teacher. Angela Fox is much better for art appreciation.
I really enjoyed this teacher, as long as you do you assignments and read the chapters/lecture you will do fine. I always email Ms.Greco and she respondes everyday. I really enjoyed this class just dont be lazy and do your work and you will pass. always refer to the lecture and book and you will do fine. I would recommend Ms.Greco.
Believe me, this teacher is really easy, but alot of students do not pay attention! Her test are easy and you can make a easy A. We had 2 test so far and made 100 on both. Attendence is a must! But good teacher so far :)
Horrible instructor. Rude and does not like to answer questions. Take anyone else for this class! Unless you enjoy incompetence. Would not recommend.
This teacher is horrible. She can't spell, her punctuation skills are awful, and she is gross. Her tests are in the stupidest format I've ever seen. DON'T TAKE HER!!!!
I was a little unsure of this professor at first because she comes off a little strange, but she is such a nice woman which you will learn throughout the course. All tests are essays about topics discussed in class (i used the book but never read chapters) I never made below 100 on anything. Take her!
Mrs.Grecian is a fun spunky and all around neat teacher to have just pay attention study and most of have fun with what your learning and she will be a great teacher to you
This professor encourages you to have an opinion, but then will argue with you over them. Speak up in this class and you will pass. She likes to argue and at times can be rude, but the class is easy.
I LOVED MISS GRECO! :) She was so funny, quirky, and interesting. She encourages healthy debate and exploration. If you miss class, you will fall behind, however. Her tests are essays covering text material and class discussions. She is so nice, and just makes the class a fun enviroment. We laughed every day in class.
Online course: this teacher does not allow a comprehensible lecture in order to follow her; I would not recommend taking this class. She has given me a 5/10 for two discussions when she has not made it clear as to why. She is not going by a "set" criteria. YOU WILL NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM HER--WITH HER NON-INTERESTING PARAGRAPH FORM LECTURE.
I hated this online class as the lady's not very specific on what she wants. Plus she's hardly around, and typically doesn't answers course questions. Save your money and take music if you need an Art elective; if you're an Art major consider changing your major to avoid this instructor.
This teacher was awesome. I took her online Art Appreciation course and if you participate in the discussion every week and take some time and act like you know what the book is talking about (sound excited) you will make an A. It was a very easy class.
Do not take this professor! The worst teacher I have ever had at any level of school. Does not clarify what she wants from you regarding the essays that she has you write for her test. Simply put, avoid her at all cost, you will be happy that you did.
Fun teacher. Very interactive teaching style. Lots of new ideas. Want extra credit? Just tell her your idea on how you could get extra credit and she will work with you. Show up. Have fun. You'll get an A!
Great person, terrible professor . Class was mandatory, but almost always consisted of watching videos or the like that were loosely related to the chapter. Tests were always on the chapters that you had to learn on your own outside class.
Do not take this teacher. Does not specify what she wants on any of the test that you take, by the way, are all vocab and essays. The take home essays are at least 12 pages long. Again, do not take her unless you like to be on your own.
I took her for Anthropology and Humanities. She is quite specific on what she wants on her tests. If you pay attention in class & read the book, if you SOUND like you actually know the material then you will get an easy A. I notice alot of the art students are lazy babies. This is adult world kids, stop being lazy!
Don't take Cultural Anthropology from this teacher. She does not clarify anything and has the WORST grammar and spelling in the world. I am taking her online class and all assignments are writing essays. She relates the chapters to documentaries that you must watch but she never tells you the name of the video? Avoid the stress, don 't take her.
Absolutely take her for Anthropology! She can certainly be vague in her lectures, but she's the easiest grader in the world if you're competent! Who cares about clarity when you're earning a high grade for little effort? If you don't mind vague lectures in exchange for high grades, take her class. I would definitely take her again. #StMUAdjunct
Neg: she is a bit confusing and eccentric. She can be hard to follow. Dont you dare make any kind of noise, or not give her your undivided attention or she loses it. Be prepared to watch a lot of documentaries about native americans. Pos: She brought up some thought provoking topics and makes you think beyond the book. Easy if you do stuff.
Love this teacher definitely would take her again. She gives out four test, two out of the four are take home exams (not the easiest you actually have to due some reading) and class exams you definitely have to study for. She gives out a bunch of extra credit. Attendance is a must if you miss more than four days she won't drop the lowest test grade
tests are exactly like the review sheets, she offers TONS of extra credit! Do not miss class more than 4 times you'll regret it! She's a little bit confusing on her lectures, take notes cause it's on the test. Overall easy grader and would recommend for a science credit!
One of the best professors I have ever had. Her field knowledge is impressive. Will encourage you to think & you will learn, not just from the textbook but from her experience. Do yourself a favor and take one of her classes. I wish I could take every class by Greco.
She is a good professor. Very dedicated to her work. She understands the modern-day student world of higher learning and so she will have patience with you from the get-go. She is very firm in her grading, and she grades hard. Don't mess up grammar! Her test instruction are unclear and nearly cost me the class. Show her respect and she will too!
You learn from her and you will be an Expert and to continue her teaching
4 test but she gives out study guides
Although I dropped this class, I have to say she is a great professor. Anyone taking her Anthropology 2301 class has to be aware that she is hard on her grading. Specifically, she looks for the accuracy of the information, sources, and the format of the essays (in exams). Since the only grades taken in this class are for exams, you have to study.
The grades scored in this class are only for exam, she gives out plenty of EC that helps you practice your knowledge registered and learned from her lectures. Passionate about her subject. She will educate you well, you need to be accountable for studying the material. Good video watching-great article reads-conversation-type lectures. Passed w 95%
Initially I had problems adhering to her adamant grading criteria, however once you catch onto your mistakes via her feedback the class is a cake walk. No it wasn't easy. No Condensed Summer Course is. I worked hard and learned so much from her in the end. Follow her grading criteria, review the chapters, and study. Doing this I got a 102% Average.
She is a very tough grader and is not clear in her instructions. You only find out her tough grading details once she counts off points. Then when you go into detail on the next assignment, she counts off points for being too detailed. Her grammar and spelling in her instructions is horrible so it seems pretty ironic to me.
Fairly easy to pass, assuming you can do some reading and are decent at writing. This is all assuming you are okay with a crazy Hippy-dippy new age teacher. Expect such gems as: "I can feel your psychic energy" "The Man doesn't want you thinking" "Cannibalism is Colonial Propaganda" "Are you convinced about Sasquatch?" "Mercury is in retrograde"
By far one of my favorite professors . She is passionate about anthropology and what it stands for, shes clearly realistic and wants to embed into more generations . She gives a lot of extra credit opportunity , which was beneficial and the take home portion of the exams were easy and straight forward . Just be prepared to read
She's a good teacher but I was not a fun of how she broke up her online class. Do not take her class if you can't afford to log on everyday (she makes everything available on a daily basis). Easy class but it's a lot of work and not very friendly to people who have busy schedules (the people who generally take online classes). Easy to get above 100
Grading criteria for discussion posts are about as clear as mud. Too wordy in a rambling sort of way and takes points off for grammar and spelling when her own is awful. Also, the setup for the class and assignments is the worst I've ever seen. Not user-friendly and essentially only allows you to do an assignment the day it's due.
She is the bomb! She honestly cares about you creating your own thoughts and questions. She really wants you to be present. She is very inspirational and helped aid me to minor in Anthropology. I really didn't want this class to end. I highly recommend this class to everyone. Just put in a little work. She drops the lowest grades.
She has been the worse professor I have ever taken. Her writing is atrocious and her instructions are about as clear as mud. The setup for her online class is sloppy and lazy with dates from years and months that don't align with the year and semester I took her in. Find a better professor, she is too full of herself.
Horrible instructions and her online setup is not only confusing but it isnt like a standard online class for some odd reason. Unnecessarily tough on grading especially when some of her instructions have misspelled words and are extremely confusing. Please try to find a better prof.
This teacher is the absolute worst teacher I've ever had. I had her for online and she would take 20 points off of my weekly essays for spelling a word wrong. I didn't want to drop her class but it was so hard to understand what she wanted from me. I would do everything the class required of me but still get graded bad. She needs grade better.
would not recommend. worst teacher I have ever come across. Constant quizzes, discussions, and hours of videos to watch each week.
Worst online class I have ever taken. Instructions are confusing and she is the hardest grading prof. I have ever had. Hours of videos to watch per week and the exams are in essay format. Will never take any class taught be her again
By far the most irritating online class I have taken. She constantly gets on students about grammar and punctuation when her own writing is filled with mistakes. She takes big points off if you don't capitalize something that doesn't require it. Her directions for the assignments are very hard to follow, and the weekly assignments are very tedious.
Incredibly hard class. She is an extremely tough grader and vague about expectations. She only opens assignments right before it's due, so you don't have much time to complete them. This class made it impossible to focus on other classes. Every exam is an essay, 2 pages long. 2 discussions and 1 exam every week. Don't take her if you hate writing.
There is a lot of reading and writing in this class and I suggest utilizing the Writing Center for APA formats if you need a refresher. The subject is interesting and you will learn a lot in her class. She responds VERY QUICKLY and will help in any way she can. That includes extra credit opportunities.
She didn't specify that there were certain words and phrases that we shouldn't use in our works. She was backtracked on her instructions and would get upset that we "stated our personal opinions" even though she wanted us to compare political beliefs to the factual evidence. Told us not to use sources and then told us to be specific w/ our sources.
Does not give any clear grading rubric for discussions or replies. Will deduct points for small mistakes while everything she puts out is filled with grammatical errors. Asks for your personal opinion and then deducts points for you giving your opinion.
You will learn from this class but she makes it more difficult than it needs to be. Her instructions will say one thing, you do that one thing, then she takes off huge amounts of points for doing what she says to do and claims she never wanted you to do that?? Not sure if Ill stay class because her instructions makes it very hard to understand.
What an absolutely miserable experience! This instructor is a confusing, argumentative, petty, hippie type who is full of herself. She seems to be very leftist in her views and doesn't have much respect for those who aren't in her political camp. I was thinking about a career in anthropology but after this class being a nail tech is more appealing.
By far the worst professor I have EVER had. Has no quizzes or assignments, all work is essay writing & discussion posts and she grades based on what she feels makes sense. Very unfair grader, takes off random points, doesn't have set grading scales or any method of teaching. Unrealistic expectations from students. Don't take her, she's horrible.
Daily short essays required, with two additional page long essays every two or three days on top. If you know what she wants to see with formatting and writing and content, then they will be easy As. She assigns a lot of outside sources like youtube docs that you gotta watch that are like an hour long, so you gotta make time.
This professor knows her stuff and she will go into great detail about it. However, she requires a ton of participation almost daily you will have to post a discussion then type a short essay. As long as you know what she expects youll do fine.
Honestly wouldnt recommend, she takes off points for the smallest things. You have to write literally every week, sometimes twice during the quizzes which are essays every OTHER week. Her notes are just ramblings with nothing but spelling errors so its even hard to understand what is being asked. Her online set up is not user friendly. AVOID
Yiiikes, where do I begin. Her expectations are super unclear from the beginning. Some assignments are really unclear and backtrack. Her grammar is awful, but yet she's quick to take off a ton of points for your grammatical errors. If she doesn't agree with something said, extra points taken off. Essays literally every other week. Avoid taking her.
If you take this class do all the extra credit that you can. It is the only way to guarantee a decent grade. She is a hard grader and will deduct points if she doesn't agree with your perspective. Good luck reading her weekly lectures. They are riddled with spelling and grammar errors. I will not take any more classes with her.
What a horrible teacher. Even when you follow her specific instructions she takes points off, it's as if she doesn't even know her own expectations. If you do have to take this class for whatever reason read her SAI several times and follow it exactly or you'll receive 25's on your discussions. Only thing she offers are discussions and essay exams.
I took Anthropology as a maymester class, if youve never taken them, they are very tedious no matter what. However, Professor Greco offered me many opportunities to learn, including phone calls for extra help, and multiple opportunities to redo failed assignments. Hands down one of the most caring professors Ive ever had.
This professor is a good one, however she is not good at giving critiques online. Follow her SAI protocols to the T and you'll be fine, if you deviate from this she will without question give you a 25 for effort. This sounds harsh but if you schedule a phone call with her she will tell you how to fix everything. I did this and went from a D to a A.
Prepare to learn the Greco citation method by heart and be marked off for any and everything despite her assignments and instructions being flooded with misspellings and grammatical errors. She is picky about everything and will assign a large topic for discussion but significantly limit your word count. Avoid her if you can.
Do not...I repeat do not take this teacher if you want an A. Her instructions are completely unclear and she will give you a 25 or 0 if your opinion doesn't match hers. She has invented her own Citiation "Greco-Citation" so forget what any other skilled college professor has told you or the A's you earned in literature, because it won't matter.
Greco's class ruined my GPA. She works for a community College and does intro classes, but is on a power trip with her students. She definitely has University envy while teaching INTRO community College. She needs to chill and instruct her students to be better not just insult them. Grammatical errors while critiquing your Grammatical errors.
Threatened with plagiarism on a discussion board post. Her grading criteria is completely made up, especially her citation requirements. Didn't appreciate having my tuition benefits being threatened because I can't read the professor's mind. If you have the misfortune of having this professor, DROP the class, or enjoy the serious blow to your GPA.
Teacher is disrespectful. I learned nothing from her class and will need to take another class to make up for the wasted time and effort. She should be fired as an instructor. She belongs away from anyone who is trying to get a real education bc you won't find it with her. Worst so called instructor ever. Complete waste of time and money.
Don't take, u were warned
250-word discussion + 2 replies every wk. 1-pg paper every other wk. 5-pg final paper. Confusing instructions, but willing to explain. Lots of reading. Many boring Native American videos/topics. Very hypocritical, but you get used to it. Have to agree with her opinion to get good grade. Do not recommend for light-hearted/non-anthropology majors.
Worse professor ever. I don't understand her grammar, yet she's so tough and such a picky grader. Her instructions are so unclear, even when it comes to tests. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES. She makes us feel dumb.
Worst teacher ever, made little sense and was very rude and petty, sooooo petty. I dropped this clown lady and took another course, straight A student and with her crappy way of grading, I wad getting a C because I pissed her off by wanting some actual teaching. Run away, and lady, retire your old awful self too.
Professor Greco was the best professor I ever had. She is VERY specific in grading, however she will give you opportunities to correct your work. I had her for a fully online class, and was able to call her if I had questions. I enjoyed her classes so much that I switched my minor to anthropology at my 4yr university.
This awful professor was a useless, condescending and in all ways terrible. I am a 4.0 student that had to drop her bc she retaliated for questioning her inability to give clear concise directions.
WORST PROFESSOR IVE EVER HAD. Fails you if your opinion doesn't match hers, grading is even worse she takes off points for no reason and try's to give excuses. She is very unhelpful when it comes to meeting after class etc. Very rude and overall the worst professor i've ever had. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!
Her class is one of the toughest and challenging class I ever had. If you are a student that really appreciates a professor that would challenge you intellectually and would treat you like an adult that is in higher education she's your professor! She will work with you as long as you show commitment to her class; and read her instructions (ISA)
I take online courses to allow flexibility in my schedule. This course allows very little flexibility. This professor seems to not know how to use canvas correctly- Rather than utilizing modules, she has a page littered with links. The assignments are extremely strict and you are penalized for working ahead. Would not recommend for most people.
