Dr. Judd is very polite in the limited communication you have in such a large lecture and clearly loves her subject. Her lectures are clear but the slides leave a lot of information out. Attendance is not mandatory, but the tests are a lot more difficult without attending. Tests are online but still require a decent amount of studying to do well.

Dr Judd is one of the best professors I ever had. She is a good lecturer and her tests are all based on her lectures and the movies you watch. You won't regret taking her class.

Dr. Judd is nice and clearly very knowledgeable. However, in attempts to make the online exams cheat-proof, she makes them extremely detailed and hard to do well on despite hours of studying in preparation. Manageable class and an OK choice for a straightforward gen-ed, but requires a lot of outside-the-classroom work.

Sweet person not the greatest professor. Presents from the back of the classroom makes it hard to engage, doesn't like when people ask questions, goes extremely fast through lectures, powerpoints have minimum words, TONS of work outside of class, recitation is a lab (use real human bones), and hard exams

Graded on 3 take home tests which could be very specific, so learn the material. Her lectures were engaging although sometimes a bit rushed. Recitation was awesome, my favorite part of this course and I learned so much and it was really fun. Take Courtney as a TA if you can. Professor Judd was nice in class and always excited to teach.

All my tests were online, so I thought I was fine to not show up, but that is a big mistake. Even Ctrl+F couldn't make those tests go well. Lectures are in the dark, which can make it difficult to pay attention depending on what time it is, but they are generally interesting. If anything, just go to class.

I liked Professor Judd a lot but the class is really dependent on the lectures (which she goes through SUPER fast). The tests were online but still very hard and required hours of studying because of how specific they were. The recitation was ok- didn't really learn anything but the labs were an easy grade.

Absolutely loved Dr. Judd and the class. Definitely attend all lectures and take lots of notes on stuff she says in lecture - she can go through the slides pretty quickly and they don't have a lot of information on them. Read and watch everything provided and study even the specific things. As long as you study hard you can pass this class.

I loved this class! Lectures are very information heavy and slides are only posted after the lecture. She goes very fast so it's sometimes easier to take notes after class. Recitation with Courtney was very fun and engaging. There are 3 online midterms that are on lecture material and assigned videos, but they weren't that bad if you take notes.

goes through lectures EXTREMELY FAST. all information on tests is in lecture (unless asynchronous assignment), but not all of it is on the slides. slides are VAGUE, so make sure you write down EVERYTHING she says. midterm questions are hyper specific. TAs are very helpful.

Professor Judd is passionate about what she teaches. Her lectures go by FAST and though she posts her slides after class, they won't make sense if you didn't attend lecture. Having taken biology and anatomy in high school really helped, but you'll be fine even if you didn't - as long as you study. Tests are online and you can take them from home.

Dr. Judd is kind but pretty boring. The lectures just repeat the textbook material, so prior reading isn't necessary. The recitations are engaging, as there are sometimes simple labs to better understand the concepts. Three take home exams are the only grades other than a group recitation project. The class is not difficult and is very approachable

Her slides were quite disorganized, so you might get little frustration when you are trying to study with it. Also, does not really like replying to the emails. But I enjoyed it since I liked human structures and evolution even though I was not anthropology major. Not recommend if you are organized person or you might go bald.

Intro to Bio Anthro is pretty heavy with material, but all of the midterms are open note and there is no final. Only time attendance is required is for recitation. Just show up to lecture when you can and review every once in a while and you should be fine honestly. I never even opened the textbook.

I took Intro to Forensic Anthropology the semester before this one. Overall, the classes were different but there was a solid couple of weeks where all the slides were complete repeats... I stopped going to the class after that. I think attending the lectures are helpful though but she goes through the slides so quick and just reads off the slides

Judd's class is super easy. She reads off the slides during lecture so you don't have to go but make sure you read them before the midterm and final because that's what it will be based on(as well as any of the videos posted but readings aren't important). Tests were online outside of class. Make sure you attend recitation there is a group project!

I took Professor Judd's class last minute and was pleasantly surprised! Her lectures were long, yet captivating. You have to stay focused during them to keep up, but they are all posted online as well. We only had three tests, all online. They were all very reasonable. The professor speaks incredibly fast and seems to be entertained by her students struggling with this, she does not treat her students with basic respect or empathy and seems entertained by their struggles.
