Nice and helpful outside of class. Laid back. Usually in class early but will stay late just to talk to you. Follows the lecture notes and adds review questions to her lectures. Explains how diseases relate to what we are studying. Fair grader even though AP is really hard. I wish she taught AP2!

Hands down the best A&P instructor for lab and lecture. She's pretty funny and her lectures are like a narrative - she explains almost EVERYTHING in the lecture notes. You need to be able to write fast to get everything she says, but her powerpoints outline everything she talks about. Study every day and pay attention to what she says.

Mrs. Long is the best!!! She made learning biology so much fun. I highly recommend her! If you work hard and study, come to class, and participate you will make an A! She wants you to succeed and is extremely helpful.

She is an awesome teacher. I hoped she would teach BIO2114 lecture, but she's only teaching lab so I'm taking it. She explains everything well & makes sure you understand. I'm a shy person & really don't like to approach people, but she made me feel comfortable for me to approach her when I had questions or needed help. If you can, take her!

Mrs. Long is a great professor. Although I have a BS in Biology, I wasn't so sure how hard the A&P course would be here. Once I took the 1st test, it was pretty easy from that point on. Fill in your lecture notes, watch the dvd, and come to class and study and you'll get an A. The tests are not hard in my opinion, MC can be tricky but SA are easy.

I took AP 1 with another instructor and Mrs. Long is the BEST. She can explain difficult topics in a simple way that is easy to understand. Love her crazy stories and analogies bc they help me remember things. If you fail her class it's bc you didn't put in the time. She even met with me outside of class just to help me study better.

this was my second time taking this class. my first instructor didnt explain it well in my opinion. Mrs Long breaks the information all the way down. She is very easy to talk to. Always there to help

I didn't realize how awesome Ms. Long is until I had a horrible teacher for A&P 2 Lab. She is crazy smart! Makes learning fun. Rarely moody. Germ-a-phobe for sure, but in a good way. Thanks to Ms. Long for giving me a solid foundation in 2113L, I was able to somehow survive a bad 2114L teacher. Pay attention to her -- it will pay off in A&P2!

I had her for lab. She was so helpful and tried really hard to make bio interesting for us. She is the only reason I passed lecture because she can explain things so well. She really knows what students need in class. I wish I could take another class with her!!!

Her class is hard. You better study, she is not just going to give out grades. Gives you plenty of opportunity to fix things. She goes back over all quizzes at the end to make sure the questions were asked in a understandable way, to give back points. Gets back to you in a timely manner, and is very helpful if you have questions.

Mrs. Long is a great teacher and is a really good people-person. She lets you know ahead of time what to do so you can study for upcoming tests and quizzes/homeworks. You must remember homework due dates, that's one of the most important things. And, sit in the front two or three rows; it'll help you with staying focused on what she's teaching

She is always willing to help, you just have to ask for it. She even offered to set up a meeting with anyone who asked for one to go over specific study skills for biology. It's a hard class, but Mrs. Long does her best to make the subject interesting. Make sure you fill out your study guide. It's not graded but it's SO helpful come test time!!

Best Anatomy professor I have had at GTC! She is very helpful and willing to answer your questions, as long as you are not asking a question from the lecture notes. Very nice and respectful, and seems to care about her students. I highly recommend taking her!

Ms. Long really breaks down the information so it is easier to understand. She spends more time in class going over the tough stuff so you HAVE to watch the DVD and do your lecture notes. I really enjoyed her class. She is so genuine and cares for all of her students.

I took the class before and didn't do well. Took it again with Ms. Long and she helped me so much. Her lectures are hilarious sometimes. Listen to her advice and you'll do fine.

Ms. Long is an awesome teacher. The course is not easy but there's a lot of help you can receive. Do your work, come to open lab, and you can get an A in this class.

This semester was my first try at A&P 1 and without Ms. Long, I wouldn't have passed. She is great and very easy to talk to. She really cares about her students doing well. Her tests aren't hard as long as you know the material. The questions come from a bank so she doesn't have control over the questions anyway. I'll be taking her for A&P 2 !

Ms. Long is the most enthusiastic teacher I have ever had (over 210 s.h.) and her enthusiasm is infectious. She is an awesome teacher! I learned a lot in her class but the only criticism I have is that her tests are difficult to discern what is being asked too often. I would still take her again though.

Mrs. Long is a wonderful A&P professor! She really puts effort into her lectures and uses tons of examples to make lecture interesting . She works with you and tries her best to help you succeed! Definitely take her if she is an option or you will regret it later.

Best teacher I have had at GTC. Her lectures are very in-depth and relatable with a good pace to be able to learn from. She is funny and real down to earth, very knowledgeable, and is easy to approach. If you choose not to take her it is on you but if you do you will not be disappointed.

Ms. LONG is by far................... The Best A&P 1&2 Teacher Ever!! If you choose not to take her, it's on you. Someone else will take her and she is AMAZING and knows what she is teaching! If there is an ounce of smartness in you, you will not hesitate to take her class. As for Ms. LONG, Keep up the great work! I know you will read this. :)

You must put in the study time to make a decent grade. Her lectures are very minimal, just an overview of facts. You must watch videos and read over power points prior to class or you will get the bare minimum out of her class because her lectures are mainly overviews. She does not go into much detail with material. She is sweet and eager to teach.

I assist to one review in a and p 1 she was really good, so I thought that she will be the best teacher to get for a and p 2 wrong! I make a mistake she is a tough grader also in the class she make mistakes she forgot things and sometimes she said things that in the videos Dr. scholz say different. But a good thing is that she is funny.

Her lectures cover the basics and she tells hilarious stories. She does not follow the lecture notes workbook, so make sure you fill them out using the lecture videos prior to attending class each week to stay on top of things. A&P2 covers a TON of material! Overall LOVE Mrs. Long!

If you prove that your test answer was right, she will change your grade manually. - The participation counts. Advice: You do not have to buy "lecture notes".

This class is unbelievably hard. I had to study so much outside of class. I got more out of class when I filled out my lecture notes. She gives really good advice on studying. It helped me pull up my grade.

Mrs Long is very smart, thorough, well prepared, ready to answer students questions, kind, caring, positive and enthusiastic. She forces you to really go through your lecture notes, soft chalk and cross reference other material to gain a greater command of the material. She doesn't make it easy to get an A in her class. You have to earn it.

Ms. Long will tell u the general overview of expectations/material u need to know. She does not waste too much time on specifics; which suits me bc w/ so much info, she doesn't freak us out w/ too much at once. Then she sets u off to do the work on ur own. She's a little sneaky w/ what she knows. She wont give it to u easily. She makes you think :)

She was my lab professor, and she is so fun and caring. When i ask her all the questions about anatomy, she answered. I often go to her office, and ask her questions, and she always are happy to answer! she is very nice professor! and willing to help me always.

Ms. Long writes her notes on the board as she teaches us, and clearly goes through information. We have enough time to write them down and ask questions. With so much info, she only goes through important stuff, and leaves the rest to us. W/ all the resources that the A&P team provides us, the class is possible. And w/ her help, it makes it easier.

She made AP2 come alive for me. I enjoyed her teaching style. I truly BENEFITED FROM LECTURE & LAB NOTEBOOKS & VIDEOS created for us. She's a clear communicator. ONLY purchase the lecture & lab book (study them - easy A). Please be on time.

This class is a different animal from anything else. Mrs. Long is an amazing support explaining study methods and really teaching you HOW to learn the material instead of simply throwing information at you. So many opportunities to bounce back if you're struggling. She's charismatic and keeps you engaged. If you skimp on effort, you will NOT pass.

Ms. Long was amazing! This was my first semester back as an "older" student. She is great in delivering her lectures, and is approachable. She holds you accountable for your work and grade. If you want an EASY "A"; do not take BIOL 2113. The course will make you work for your grade.

Very knowledgeable and artistic. The professor for you if you prefer charts and diagrams. She covers the material well but I found it more helpful when I knew the material before hand, it helped to hear her review. Her analogies are awesome and you have to be specific on the tests.

I loved the way Ms. Long taught she made A&P 1 easier for me. Although do not mistake this class for an easy class. Be prepared to have your life revolve around this class because other wise you wouldnt do so well. Defiantly taking her for A&P 2.

I loved Ms. Longs teaching style as always went over the hard topics in class. I will say though, she expects you to do the lecture notes beforehand coming to class. Hard to fail her class. Shes also very beautiful. Talk about beauty and brains.

Ms. Long is an excellent instructor and really goes out of her to make the material relatable to her students. The expectations for the class are given up front and if you adhere to what's expected this class is an easy A. There are no surprises or unfair grading practices. She grades tests quickly and is readily available for feedback when needed.

Expects you to do your work but so helpful in lab. Nice and funny but a little sarcastic. Cares about her students and that they learn the material. No clue what some other people said on here, must be confused w someone else. Just ask for help. Will meet with you to help with studying and talk about grades, looks at drawings and case studies.

Ms. Long is a great professor. She LOVES science! Her teaching style is wonderful because she draws pictures on the board. She also explains harder concepts by comparing them to real life examples where you can literally hear her saying them and see her drawing it while you are testing. Great sense of humor, is a beauty, and wants you to succeed!

I took her for lab. She is a great instructor! Very passionate about what she does and loves her students. She is the sweetest! I would totally take her class again! It is only difficult because of the material but she does her best to help you learn and understand it in full.

This course is very difficult but way easier to navigate with Ms. Long. She is very knowledgeable and explains the material very well. I have enjoyed he teaching very much!

Mrs. Long was very passionate in her style of teaching. At first, she can come off very intimidating, but after getting to know her, she was very professional with a determined mind. Her lectures were very interesting because she would include her own personal diagrams and drawings to enhance our understanding of Anatomy and Physiology.

Mrs. Long was absolutely the best teacher Ive had at Gwinnett tech. I took her for lab and lecture for a&p2 and she was amazing. She makes learning in the class fun. She LOVES doing charts or anything to try and organize the material to help the student out. I recommend her 1000000%.

The material is difficult, but Mrs Long breaks it down and makes it as easy and memorable as possible. Shes a *stickler* for rules but only bc shes preparing her students for their chosen career path. Shes extremely knowledgeable and you can tell she absolutely loves everything about A&P.

This class isn't memorization like A&P I or Micro and definitely requires you to work for your grade. However, Ms. Long goes out of her way to meet with students who aren't doing well or answer any questions you have. She is accessible outside of class and extremely responsive, especially when it comes to grading which usually takes about 1-2 days.

Like any A&P class, it's a lot of material and requires more study time than normal. However, Ms. Long does her absolute best to help you understand the material and encourages you to see her in office hours if you're struggling. She has her own style of delivering the material. There are multiple Kahoots quizzes for every exam as reviews.

Mrs. Long is a great professor! I would highly recommend any class she teaches! BEWARE: If you fail the 1st test you will get a scary email requesting that you set up a meeting with her (bum, bum, buuuum)- BUT she goes over the test with you and discusses study techniques so that you will do better on next test. She REALLY cares about her students!

Ms. Long is a great professor and makes sure you understand whats being taught and has no problem at all doing extra explaining. I ended up wit a C but thats cause its only 2 test and I failed the first one because I didnt take it. All of the class work and quizzes are easy the final isnt difficult either.

Not all professors know how to teach. She is def. gifted for teaching. she explains easy and clearly. I got C bc I did not study enough sigh. anyways, she is a great teacher and u wont regret it.

She's very reasonable, interesting, and nice! She makes sure you know your stuff and responds well to emails. I got high As on midterm and final because she was clear and concise.
