This is one of the most straight forward teachers I have ever met! She has a great sense of humor and takes the time to explain something if you don't understand. If she writes it on the board, it's on the test. She also gives out a study guide for text book reading. Highly recommended!!!

A fairly easy A. Just go to class (she grades on attendance), study the notes, and take the tests that are based on the notes, NOT the textbook. She often goes off on fun tangents, making her unable to cover everything that needs to be covered (but you won't be tested on anything she doesn't get to).

I love her class! she makes you work for your grade and makes the content very memorable. She also makes time to help you outside of class, and through emails too (for those shy people (myself included)).

She is funny and helpful. she will go off topic and run out of time to teach the actual material we need to learn for the homework assignments. It's impossible to get a 10/10 on those little writing assignments she gives because she always is looking out for more detail. I could write 2 pages of details on those assignments and still get an 8/10.

She was extremely unreasonable when it comes grading. For discussion, her instructions were simple and self-explanatory, but her grading method was too strong and serious. For her term paper, it was confusing, but it was what she wanted and instead of being reasonable, she grades you too harshly. I would never take her class again. She was awful.

Excellent teacher and brings great depth + humor to lectures. Hard not to cry through child and adolescent class -- it's intense in what you learn about yourself & others. Theories is harder and the writing was really difficult but with her dedicated feedback I finally learned how to write the papers. She is very clear and very available and CARES.

She makes you work for your grade so don't expect to get an easy A. We have a quiz and a discussion every week. Instructions and assignments aren't always very straight forward and can sometimes be confusing. During the beginning of the semester she tells people to get the textbook but we never used it.

Took her Psyc 1 class, pretty straight forward. Read the book, write the papers, study for the tests. She gives HW assignments really similar to the test and gives very engaging lectures (full of stories, inspiring, funny, etc.). The papers can be a little tough but not terrible; have someone peer-review your essay and you should be good.

Mrs Louie is an excellent teacher! And funny. I took her PSYC1 class, and I'm so happy I did. She does make you work for it but she is extremely clear about what she is looking for. If there's confusion, it's on your end! Study the textbook, follow her instructions, and you'll do well and learn a lot in the process. Take her class!

Prof. Margaret was a great person (keyword: person). Although as a professor? no. I'm not usually the one to complain but expectations are pretty high within her class. I felt as if the class was more focused on knowing how to write (laser sharp focused on how to write) rather than learning Psychology overall. Tough grader and not giving at all.

Worst psych professor at CCSF. She is exceptionally unclear in grading and expectations. Her writing is convoluted, 8 commas in one sentence bad. Get grammarly sheesh. She is also really creepy in her theories of personality class asking for papers analyzing family members. Papers arent a learning experience at all, and its borderline unethical.

She is a terrible prof. that I will never take her class again. Her assignments were confuse, and you will never got good score for each assignment. The topic were so difficult, and you can not edit after you submit it. No matter how hard you work on your assignment, if you don't write what she wants, then you will get a supper low grade.

She is so disorganized its ridiculous. Her discussion posts require you to dig deep into childhood traumas usually and you are poorly graded if your post is not personal or traumatic enough to her liking. She is very unfair & conceals it with smiley emoticons at the end of each sentence. Her instructions are hard to follow and rarely make sense.

This professor writes feedback that is unclear. The questions she asks are not fair to students. You do not learn psychology, instead you learn how to pretend that you know psychology. 6 lectures total all of which add up to 10 hours. She does not know how to use the shift hey as all of her feedback is written in lowercase letters.
