Prof. O'Brian taught me more about lit and writing than any prof Ive had. To bad you're taking up a seat in her class. You could learn if you listen an d work, or just keep ****ing. She's da bomb--Take her if you can!

I agree with the last rating. OBryan was always on top of her material and made sometimes boring material, really interesting. I laerned so much, wish I had more classes to take w/ her. And I wound up with a B, low for me.

She showed us how to do research and the power of essay. I thought she was really good and is also very caring. You can talk to her afterclass, anytime. Highly suggest!--one of the top two in dept. complainer overrates himself. She's a great one.

Maggie is just one of the nicest and smartest professors that I had during my 5 years at Pace. More pros should be just like her. She is always there for you and really understands and appreciates your work. I wish that I had more classes with O'Bryan. Unfortunately I only took her for one class.

People should always agree with me: If u think that the class is too easy or too hard, don't freaking take it. Maggie is one of those professors who shows great enthusiasm in teaching and displays excellent amount of knowledge while making sure that you have fun learning. Not only u should respect her, but be greatful to God u have her as a teacher

I had her class my first semester at Pace,now I'm graduating. It's the only English class that I really enjoyed. I still stop by her office and talk about my life. She may not be every student's favorite (as she is mine), but none of my classmates ever regretted taking her class. Lots regretted not getting in because they close quickly.

Maggie is the kind of a person that will make you believe in yourself and she is the type of a professor that you'll never forget because she gives you a chance to be who you want to be. She actually listens to what you gotta say and she always makes you feel like you belong. She knows a lot, but she will always let you do what you want to do. A+

A miner complaint is that commuter students should be weary of her constant absences. Out of the seven, or so, times she’d missed class, we were only emailed once. Otherwise, Prof. O’Bryan is a superb lecturer with a wealth of knowledge about literature. While she'll never quiz you, it's best to do the reading to truly appreciate her lectures.

There isnt anything or anyone that can say a bad thing about this woman. She is really into her class, and is very nice as long as you do not take advantage. Her absences were a little bit of an issue for those of us that take school seriously. Overrall good class though.

I really enjoyed this english lit class, whcxich is a first for me. Magie's a great teacher, makes the stuff real interesting. Highly recommend!!!!!

nice professor. i had two teachers teaching this class - O'Bryan and B. Blumberg. Obryan did very little talking, and let blumberg take over the class most of the time. likes to talk about her personal life alot and relate it to the class.

I took her in the summer and it was great. We didn't have to buy a textbook. She only had use read short stories that were no longer than like 10 pgs. There was an essay for the final and two essays to hand in. Did only one of them and still got a B+

We read Invisible Man, it was a learning community with Blumberg (history). Professer O'Brian really made me want to read more Ellison, she explains the harder parts to understand really well. Good teacher all around. Avoid Blumberg though.

THE BEST!!! She is so kind and caring. It was a very easy-going class, really stress-free. We watched alot of interesting and inspiring movies. The essays were really easy to compose. Overall, it was a great class that I truly enjoyed!!!

Really nice and easy going professor.. All you do is come to class and chill...Had 2 essays which were easy and helps you out and lets you bring in a revision.. Though the only downside I saw to this class is that if you commute don't take this class. Sometimes she doesn't hold class or don't even tell you when she's cancelling class.

Honestly I hated english all thru out high school and it has nothing to do with accounting. Prof. Obryen had us reading really great novels though. She's very interesting to listen to and always wanting to listen back; to hear our thoughts. She's very good and also very happy and funny.

Great books. all about war, anti-war really she knows her stuff and is opinionated but listens to our ideas. miss her.

As everyone knows, she's a Pace favorite. I simple want to add that she's inspired me to write more than any professor has. I felt like I had absolutely no ability to express myself before taking her class summer 1. Her resonses to my essays were very encouraging and engaged. Thank you, professor!

Maggie is awesome! I love this woman to bits. I got an A+ in her class and didn't even have to struggle. She let's you re-vise papers, and the only hw is to ready certain ch's in the assigned books, and there was only 3 quizzes the whole semester, which she prepares you for. So chill. We left class early until some idiot in the class, reported it!

Very kind, helpful, and understanding. She does keep track of attendance but if something prevents you from attending a class she is very nice about it. Classes weren't really THAT boring. She's an easy grader but still gives feedback that will help you grow as a writer. Overall, really great teacher. Definitely take her if you can!

Wonderful lady full of interesting information. I took her during the summer not expecting to learn anything and she really surprised me.

This class can go so many directions. I appreciate Prof. O'Bryan's emphasis on literature. She is not a difficult grader, gives extra credit if you need want it, and is very interested in hearing what her students have to say. The one downside is she occasionally cancels class unannounced. Other than that, Prof. O'Bryan is all around fabulous!

Best professor I've had so far. She is very easy and very nice. I've written an okay, procrastinated essay for midterm and I still got an A. From common hour, she lets us be a few minutes late because she knows how terrible the elevators are at this university.

Maggie is down to earth & incredibly kind. Extremely laid back class with a lot of relaxed discussion. She can go on tangents, but you get used to it. Genuinely interested in you as a person & a student. Shows great films to accompany the reading. Hands out printouts of everything to save you money, easy grader. Class is a breeze, but interesting.

Shes a really easy grader , the whole class got an A ,the books were great and we watched movies ! which was a plus. work load is very light. She is a little funny lady and is always talking about her life. She is simply enjoyable.

Maggie is the sweetest woman in the world. She just wants everyone to do well in her class. She cancels class a ton and goes off on tangents but she choses interesting books and prints things out instead making you buy them. If you hand in all the papers and put in good effort you'll get an A and you'll enjoy her class.

She is an amazing lady and I wish people wouldn't abuse her kindness. She teaches more about life and it's very inspiring and makes you think all throughout class. The films she shows in class are VERY good. You don't deserve to be in her class if you're not going to show up anyway nor appreciate her. Just go to class and listen to her, no work.

She's a very kind, understanding woman. The readings and films we go over in class are amazing. Although she doesn't really enforce attendance and accepts late papers. Don't expect your grades to be put up online until the end of the semester.

Her lectures were such a breeze. We would either talk about the stories or watch a film based on them. There were a few papers, and she'll explain them in detail and grade easily. She'll take attendance once in a while (3ish times), but most people would not show up or show up really late. The movies weren't bad either. Easy A and little work!

I absolutely loved this class. Professor Maggie is an outstanding woman. She made this class so enjoyable. She had created such a comfortable and calming learning community. She is super lenient on any late assignments, and is extremely accommodating. I definitely recommend taking this course!

I absolutely adore prof Maggie, she is the sweetest lady ever but her class is a drag. I learned nothing the whole semester and her classes are boring. She does not know how to use technology so be patient. No serious writing for a WRITING class, three papers max (not hard). Easy A if you need credits. You better treat my girl Maggie well! love her

Maggie is the only one professor I give all my respect. I was an international student in Pace. My college life was tough. Entire 4 years, I was alone. I did not meet any friends or classmates who I can talk with. I used to visit her office quite often. I could not graduate without her. She is always in my mind.
