There are about 4 tests, including the final and a quiz after each chapter. However, she lets students use a page of notes for both tests and quizzes. She gives breaks during class, and is a very nice teacher overall. The concepts can be confusing but she is willing to help students in and out of class. Highly recommended!

Really helpful!! took my first ACCT class with her and i still use some of the tricks she taught us. all test are multiple choice and cover exactly what she teaches. I think the first month is the hardest but stick with it and you will pass and actually learn about acct!!

This was my first accounting class and I was terrified, but Professor Parilo is by far the most awesome teacher! She conducts a fun class, uses real-life situations that help you understand and gives extra credit galore. She has really put me at ease with the decision to major in accounting.

Instructor was fantastic. She is organized, structured, and communicates well with the class. We had weekly quizzes, monthly tests, and opportunity for extra credit. I learned a lot in the ACCT 311 class with Prof. Parilo. She stuck with the book and stayed on schedule. Tests were challenging and long, but fair. Students who kept up with the reading, did the homework, and participated in class received good grades. This course kept moving, so slackers did not do well in this class.

Loved this teacher! I already like math and accounting but I think that even if I didn't, she would have made the class enjoyable. She was really nice and fun, just do the homework and the next day get cleared up on anything you didn't understand and you'll do great

Fabulous Prof. Strict, clear, knowledgable, fair, and compassionate. If you want to LEARN accounting she is the teacher you will want. She knows how to get the material across to her students. Probably the best professor I have ever had. I guess since she doesn't have to teach for a living, she can just do it for fun. Accounting is kind of intimidating but she some how turns it into one of the most straightforward and easy subjects you can take. An easily earned 4 credits if you keep up.

Prof Parilo is simply an amazing professor. Took her for 301 as well. Straightforward, great style of teaching, and extremely helpful if you need it. Grade is based on quizzes, tests, and homework. For quizzes and tests, you can use a page of notes. She also posts a study guide for tests highlighting the major concepts so there are no surprises.

There are 5 exams including the final she drops one of them. She gives a quiz every week and are really easy I always passed them. Online homework and textbook homework is also required. She also offers lots of extra credit. Overall easy class. Not to mention cheat sheet on quiz and exams!

She prints the power points for students, which is super helpful. I can use them to take extra notes on, and not waste my own paper. She is so organized and very friendly. She is really approachable and will help if you ask for it. There really is no way you can't succeed because she presents clearly and there's extra credit.

Lots of extra credit opportunities. She let's you use a cheat sheet on all quizzes and exams. She is very motherly. The only downside is that she didn't tell us where our grades stood until the week before the final, so make sure you keep track of your own grade throughout the semester. I would definitely take her again!

Professor Parilo is really nice and sweet. Took her for both 301 and 311. There are 12 quizzes and 6 tests but she drops 2 quizzes and 1 test. Homework done online. Can get 10% of your grade through extra credit. She will also do group quizzes here and there and also allows one page of notes to use on the quiz and test. Definitely recommend her.

Took her for 301 and 311. Felt that for 301 she was more thorough in explaining, in 311 it felt rushed at times even though it is a two-hour class. Group quizzes if enough of the class asks for it. Allowed a page of notes for quizzes/tests. Secure an A by doing at least four of the extra credit assignments. Overall a great professor!

Excellent professor and you have to work at failing since she allows notes on all quizzes and tests, tells you what will be on them, every test has a take home portion, allows group quizzes sometimes, will drop 2 quizzes and 1 test, lots of extra credit, and final is optional if you're happy with your grade. She's nice and funny but no nonsense.

Had her for Acct 301 and 311, loved going to her lectures because they were so interesting and she is hilarious. She really cares about her students and also responded to emails in a prompt amount of time. Will sit down with you if you had any questions. Makes you work for your grade a little bit, but you will learn a lot.

Mrs. Parilo is a great accounting professor. I had her for ACCT 311 and she's great! As long as you follow the lecture and do your homework, there's no way you can fail the class. Solid professor, she really cares about her students and genuinely wants them to pass. Extra credit is offered every week, and while lectures seemed to disappear after the first few weeks, she uses wileyplus which does a pretty good job of helping you understand what you're reading. Textbook is DEFINITELY required (or at least the access code)

This was the 4th time I took Acct 301. I tried this class with 3 other professors before, but Parillo's was the best! Her class was highly organized, and he was easy to contact. used Wileyplus textbook. Unlimited HW attempts, weekly tests, extra credit opportunities, NO FINAL. There are only 12 weeks of HW and she drops the two lowest test scores.

Its so easy to pass her class. I took Acct 301 and 311 with her and passed with an A both times! 788/976pts is counted as an A because she drops your two lowest test scores. Extra credit increases the final grade by a full letter. Quick email responder. Acct 311 is harder than 301, so just set aside the appropriate amount of time needed to study.

Very clear coursework, consistent, and accessible. Lots of extra credit, read the textbook if you want to do good on the tests. There's one hw assignment, extra credit, and a test every week. If you're not good at number crunches or anything like that, the program she uses for assignments assists a lot with that kind of stuff. Plan on taking again!

Professor Parilo is incredibly organized in how she presents material and assignments. Chapter exams are fairly straightforward and closer to adaptive practice than the homework. Very generous with extra credit. My only gripe is that you cannot do the course without purchasing the class textbook on day one (Wiley ACCT301) as it all runs through it.

Straightforward class. Practice problem assignment and matching homework every week along with extra credit. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. Test on every chapter and it is all based on the practice problems. Overall, pretty easy and great professor.
