She's a really great teacher. The course is hard but really interesting and she helps alot with things that you don't understand. Also, she tells you wants going to be on tests, and there alot of room for extra credit, it seems like she wants you tosuceed
needs to be better at giving tests in her anatomy 30 class she is very confusing

AWESOME TEACHER. VERY HARD CLASS, BUT SHE MAKES IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE. ALL HOMEWORK IS EXTRA CREDIT TOWARDS TESTS. SHE'S VERY VERY HELPFUL WITH ANY QUESTIONS AND IS A VERY VERY NICE TEACHER.
This is an extremely hard clas but she makes it as easy as possible. She types the notes, and all homework is extra credit, plus she offers at least 10 pts extra credit for each test. She is a great teacher and she wants you to pass. Pay attention during her lab review and you will get atleast a C
I thought this teacher was nice at first. She gave our class a study guide and I STUDIED but it didn't do any good AT ALL. Her 150 Q test was way off base from the study guide. There was stuff on the test we never even talked about. some of the people I talked to said they just guessed. Shes way hard.
Do not take her for biology 10. Frequent quizes/tests and ENORMOUS amounts of material to study in a very short amount of time. Does not really explain things well. All you do is take notes then take the quiz or test. I am getting a B so far but I have spent countless hours studying to get it.
Steinberg is an excellent teacher. Very dedicated and willing to help.
great teacher all should take class very hard but you all can do it
She is a wonderful teacher. Her class is very hard but she tries to help you as much as she can. There is a lot of work but if you are a dedicated student you will be fine. Don't slack off though, or your grade will reflect your lack of effort.
Great teacher. She is very nice and very helpful. Her notes are easy to understand & as long as you read them & do the homework, you'll be fine.
She is very nice!!!Even though class is so hard, you will be fine as long as you study hard everyday. This cass is hardest one I ever had, but most interesting one. Please don't give up!Good luck!
One of the few best instructor I've ever had. She motivates students and makes the subject more interesting.
great teacher. frequent quizzes & fast pace made it hectic at times but it was all for the best. we covered alot of ground. she obviously is interested in our education as she provided lecture notes, optional color book assignments, and MANY HELPFUL online resources, etc. it was a lot of work but i got a lot out of it. i recommend her.
Steinberge is awesome! She sang, she baked us choc chip cookies, and she covered all the chapters and material she said she would! Put in the effort and you'll get alot out of it. Know the lecture notes, the lab hw, and the lab models and you can get an A like me! Note to the academically unambitious/unable: it is alot of work. ~j
I dont know if all of the information here in "Rate My Professor" are right. My GPA is 3.9 and I have 12 A's, 2 B's and no C, D, F, W. I study 14hrs during weekend and take 9 Units instead of taking 12 Units to be a full time student just to focus on her class. I was disappointed, and I still failed her class. If you are an Asian, I don't recommend her. She speak very fast, and she is not talking loud in the class. The instructions in the laboratory are pretty complicated due to the speedness and clearness of her speech. Imagine can you able to comprehend an information going to your brain, if the teacher talks very fast and soft. Assignments: You need to study everyday. Extra Credits: She gave us a lot of activities such as 10-15 pages of coloring in every chapter (One extra point only in our exams), 20 pages of index card assignments in each chapter (One extra point in our quizzes). Extra point means if your score in your quiz or exam is 21. Extra point is she will add an additional point and get 22. Quizzes: Pattern of her quiz is complicated. I swear to God, I am trying my best to get an A to her class. Unfortunately, I was disappointed the way she gave us quizzes and exams. I am expecting that she would give us a multiple choice question istead she gave us a confusing matching type question using our scantron. Example istead of choosing A-Z you are choosing A, B, C, D, E, AB, AC, AD, AE, BA, BC, BD, ABE, ACA, ACB, ACD, ACE, and so forth. Imagine how long does it take to shade each box for 10mins plus we need to read all of the questions. We need to finish her quizzes in 10mins and it compose of matching type of 20 Items. Then I am not comfortable the way she give us quizzes. She will do the lecture first then after our lecture class she will give us our quiz. Istead of giving us a quiz first then focus on the next topic. Anatomy is very easy A class. She just make Anatomy complicated by giving us a hard time in the class. I might be wrong but I was disappointed in depending in Rate My Professor and I also found out that her dropping rate is extremely high. She required everyone to have the "Essential of Human Anatomy and Physiology Lecture Book", "Essential of Human Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory Manual", "The Anatomy Coloring Book", and her "Anatomy and Physiology Outline Book." I wasted $250 in this class plus we also need to buy the dissection kit, color pencil, and index card. Then I just failed her class. I want to cry but its already there.
STAY AWAY!!! Very Hard!! My major is nursing I currently work in this field. Ms Steinburg, has the strangest way of formating her quizes and exams. You have apx 10 min. to do the quiz, but it takes that long to sort it out! Quizes are given after a 2 hr lecture on new info! not on things covered on the quiz.
Ms. Steinberg is very cool teacher. She is very helpful. She gives a lot of extra cradits. This class require a lot of study, but it is not too hard to get an A. (English is my second language; however, I still got an A from her class during Summer) Most of lab info. are on her website, so you just review it before the exam.
Took her class during the summer, along with another in the morning. This is not an easy class where you can sit, listen, and expect to pass. You have to take the time during lecture to understand what she goes over. She is very clear and concise, yet cares about students' learning. I studied a couple hours a day and passed. Very enjoyable and fai
Do not take her class!!! She is a hard teacher that gives a lot of Home Work. She have the weirdest exam that I ever took. She is a high speed teacher that does not care if his students are also high speed as her.
She is very hard!!! You need a lot of time to pass her class. She is nice but her class is very very hard. Lots of homework, teach very fast and sometimes she very confusing when it comes to her test. Give a lot of chapters for the exam !!! If you're "very very" smart you can pass her class...goodluck
If you have a problem with the format of her quizzes, you have problems PERIOD. The quiz is a 20 question matching. Obviously there aren't 20 letters on the scantron. So some choices are AB, AC, ABC, ACC, ADE, etc. If that causes you problems, maybe college isn't for you???? Steinberg is a very good thorough teacher. I learned alot in her class.
Steinberg is very thorough. I learned alot in her class. If you have problems with the quiz, you have problems PERIOD. Each quiz is 20 questions matching, on scantron. 20 items on left, 20 choices on right. Obviously there aren't 20 letter choices so some choices are AB, AC, ABC, ABD, etc. If that gives you fits, maybe college is not for you???
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! She is nice don't get me wrong, but the notes in no way resemble the tests. The quizes however, match the notes and the numbering is no big deal but you can't get by on only quiz grades. In fact this class ruined my science pre-requesite GPA. Great!
Awesome teacher, wish she teaches Physiology during evening hours
Clear, Easy to understand, helpful, friendly and FAIR. Memoroize her handouts. Extra Credit given. NEVER SLACK OFF AT ALL. Hardest part is Last chapters before repo. Email her for any help or questions.
Anatomy is NOT easy no matter where u go. This Proff. is VERY helpful. IF you dont pay attention or try then like anything else you WILL FAIL. If you try hard and listen/memorize/ask questions/email her u will do fine. STUDY DONT SLACK OFF. memorze her handouts for quizes. handouts PLUS reviews for lecture test. and models for lab exzams.RECOMMEND
This prof. is helpful, and provides resources and extra credit. She presents an enormous amount of material weekly, a weekly quiz worth 10pts and 5 lab and 5 lecture exams worth 100pts each, 990 pts minimum for an A plus several pages in lab manual and a handout due ea class. Between homework/studying, I'm spending 20/hrs/wk for an A. STUDY STUDY!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TEACHER, love her. She gives you all her notes to fill in & tests are off of her notes only. Reading the book helps for additional understanding but notes have all u need 4 test. Hard teacher but this is a VERY hard course. Her tests are a little tricky but once u r used 2 them & know material possible 2 get an A.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TEACHER. Took Anatomy / Phys 30 & Phys 31 with her. Not only did I receive A's in both classes, but I still remember everything. Hard teacher but these classes are VERY hard. I wish she taught Micro as well. TAKE HER!! She loves the material she is teaching & is excellent.
This teacher is amazing, she really knows her stuff. She gives a lot of extra credit before the exams & some for the quizzes. If you pay attention you will do great in this class. She kept it interesting, told a few jokes, it is not easy, but it's not hard either. If you pay attention you will be fine.

GREAT TEACHER!!! She breaks material down and makes it very understandable. If you study her study guides you will pass the lecture exams easily. Very easy going and helpful. Alot of extra credit opportunites.
Professor Steinberg is a nice teacher and very helpful. This class is not easy but if you study her study guides you should be fine. She also provides a lot of extra credit opportunities. :)
3 words , hard hard hard!! tooooo much home work, toooo many lab assigments, just plain hard !! but she is nice doe
First off, Anatomy is a hard class. Don't mark down Mrs. Steinberg because of the course itself. She gives extra credit which helps a lot. She even has study guides on her site for exams. Even though the course is tedious, she makes humor out of it and is highly entertaining. Look forward to taking her again for Physiology!
This teacher is nice but pretty boring.she gives you the lecture notes with little blanks that you have to fill in, that are completely tedious and makes it hard to pay attention to the lecture because you don't want to miss a word. Her lecture in no way matches her exams-seems like she uses another professors exams,so you aren't really prepared.
In this class now... she is a great professor. Anatomy is difficult with any teacher, but she really does do her best in order to help you succeed. Lots of studying is required.
Took her online class in the summer. Let me tell you... it's 16 weeks of class condensed into 8 weeks. It's alot of work. She is very helpful and gives lots of xtra credit opportunities.
Don't expect to find any easy anatomy or physiology classes at elco. Steinberg does offer a lot of extra credit and her review questions are basically a review of her notes not necessarily what's going to be on the test. Memorizing facts isn't going to cut it. You really need to understand the material.
took her online fall course, intense becauase most of the learning is on your own, but she is very helpful will answer all you messages promtly. Offers a lot of extra credit and resources for help. I do recomend! No anatomy class will be easy, but who doesnt like extra credit especially when its coloring!
Great teacher! Extremely funny and clever. She really loves what she's doing and she wants you to do well. To be perfectly honest this was a difficult class, as it should be, this is Anatomy, not PE
Really cares about her students. Hard but fair. You learn so much. If you truly put in the study time and commitment, you can get an A in her class.
TEST are WORDY but they DO COMES FROM THE NOTES. USE THE STUDY GUIDE TO AID you with the NOTES. after she reads off the notes, "SHE TRIES TO EXPLAIN IT" thats when you listen, beaware that she talks fast
I took Anatomy 30 with her. She is a great prof. Her study guides are great and lecture exams come directly from them. Lab exams are very straight forward, as you simply have to memorize the parts of each model. There are many extra credit opportunities as well which also help you learn. I only needed to open the textbook to reference pictures.
I took her hybrid online course. She is very thorough. She had great modules to study from, that substituted reading the book. All you have to do is memorize all the Anatomical parts for the Lab Exam, and you get an A. Make sure you do all the Lab exercises because they count toward your lab score. She's quirky in a really good way.
I took the Anat 30 hybrid course during the summer. There is a lot of material, but she explains everything thoroughly. The difficulty is mostly in the time needed to do well. She is always very helpful. I didn't even buy her textbook, I used her modules. They were more than sufficient.
Hav fun good luck. ToughLovingCaring professor. For the type of class this s we wer all lucky to hav her. This s a mind BootCmp and this s only the beginning if you plan 2 pursue a medical major. B prepared 2b mauled by knowledge. Take advantage of quizzes. Test str8 fr notes but expect them to come from multiple angles. Cya around Seventeen03
I am now taking this instructor for Anatomy 30 and totally regret it. EXTREMELY demanding class with an unfair grading system. 2 hrs of work =3 pts, quiz=5pts. If you have a life (job, family, other classes) you can forget about it! Nice lady but she is very fast paced and expects too much. On a weekly basis there is tons of work and never a break!
Every1 knows APhys is a demanding class. What is ridiculous is that she schedules lec/lab exams on the same day. 1 day for lab exam & another for lec exam will make it easier to handle. Study early? When she refuses to post entire notes online. Poor teaching methods. Needs to reevaluate herself. 2 wks to study, but nothing to get a head start on
Horrible class. Started out 40 students then everyone drop and only 14 left. She is horrible at teaching and students in the class are not helpful.
This class is very demanding. However, she is a very nice and helpful teacher. She will respond to your questions in a very short amount of time. Her class indeed starts with about 40 students and ends with about 14 because students think they can pass her class without attending to class.
Students in her class form study groups to help each other. Some people think they can pass her class by not studying and copying and that does not work. Her test are not that extremely hard the lecture exam questions come from the modules. Study those and memorize the lab and you should be fine. Take her!!!
This is a very demanding class, however she is very helpful. Students form study groups to help one another. You can not expect to pass her class without assisting to class. You need to dedicate a lot of time to this class. And not expect to come to a test and pass it by copying. STUDY the modules and you should be fine. TAKE HER!!
So grateful I had her b/c she organizes, simplifies the material into lecture notes, which she goes over with us; doesn't just hand them to us, expecting us to go over ourselves. Still a difficult class, but she simplifies it as much as it can be. You can get a good grade if you do the work, plus you will learn a lot. Strongly recommend her!
Although she is really nice, I don't recommend her class. Took the class online, and she gives way too much hwork. Each study guide takes around 2-3 hrs and is only worth 3 pts. Ridiculous. Plus, her tests at times cover material not covered in class or online.I feel she is purposfully trying to confuse. Like I said tho, she's nice but no, just no.
Nice teacher and interesting lectures. Really difficult materials though. Pay attention in her class and go over the study guide that she provides online and you'll do great. Didn't really need the book because her lecture outline has everything you need to know on the exams.
Took the class this summer (anatomy/physiology 30) this is a hard class a lot of material is covered make sure you stay the whole. Class and review the models read the etudes print outs they really helped me. She is funny and nice but will not pity grade you which I respect if you are a procrastinator do not take her class.
Greatest teacher ever!! Yes this class is very demanding but if you give your all and lots of time, you should have no problem. All her lectures are given to you in packets that go along with her power points. I got an A both semester and maybe opened the book 5 times just to look at figures. Also make sure to memorize models!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I am currently in 34A, and let me tell you, I thought she was a fairly decent teacher until the Exam 1 scores came back. the highest score was a 75%, and she considered that 'doing well'. She does not curve and material on exams has material not in assigned readings or discussed in class. If you NEED an A or B, do not take
Gives conflicting & often incorrect info. on outlines. Lectures extensively on new info. the day before the test. Gives mediocre explanations. Tests use vocabulary not used during lecture. The amount of time and effort put in will not be reflected on the grade. An A depends on a mixture of prior knowledge, genius, and guessing correctly on tests
She schedules the lab and lectures tests same day and both are about 100 questions long; myself, I cannot concentrate for that many questions at once. Her lectures are very through, but the information is not on her tests.
Professor Steinberg was by far the worst teacher I have had in over 6 years of college courses. She is unrelenting with the amount of work she requires, as well as the amount of information she requires students to be responsible for. On top of this, she was constantly confusing, difficult to approach, and lacked compassion for everyone.
20% of all tests have material never covered in class. Does not know her subject as well as she should. The wording of her test questions don't even make sense. During lecture, she just reads word for word, a prepared outline that she puts on the projector because apparently we do not know how to read it ourselves.
Class is well organized. Uses class time efficiently. Lab tests are easy (follow her study guide). A&P is a difficult course, she makes it doable. Plenty of XC. Always avail for students & friendly. Knows her mat'l v. well. Does a lot in lecture to make interesting & help us remember. If you're a serious student, she is happy to help. Great Prof.
Professor Steinberg is absolutely dreadful not only are her exams utterly confusing but her concern for her students ability to retain material is terrible. Professor Steinberg should retire and not be teaching any more due to her lack of passion for students and her ability to relate to her classroom. A very defensive teacher when you question her grades. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! RUN LIKE THE PLAGUE.
DO NOT TAKE IF YOU WORK FULL TIME. She's very nice, and knows her stuff, but way too much information for a two day a week class. 100 question exam and 50 question lab exam on the same day!! She does give extra credit, but still might not help. If you have a lot of time on your hands to study then this class is perfect for you. Say bye to social hr
Sit in the middle front table, she always favors that table for demos, does not walk to the back or enlarge powerpoints. If you want a textbook, buy a diff one off ebay, not the school recommended one. BANS cellphones from classroom w a passion. Corny and always shows youtube videos to teach. Sharp and adamant when you're not doing what she wants.
Professor Steinberg is absolutely irresponsible with her teaching schedule. She will schedule a 200 question exam along with an hour lecture. Once material is covered no review will follow. Study guides given in class are misleading. Lab exams are specific and allow no room for error.
I liked her class because I knew what to expect on tests and quizzes. There aren't any surprises. . It is not an easy class but if you have the will to learn and better yourself in your academic career, you will do just fine.
Out of Trench, Valle, Padilla and Steinberg; ms. Steinberg has got to be the worst choice to take A&P with. Physiology should contain images in the lecture handouts as many things we learned had to do with understanding how pathways carry along their functional task. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR FOR PHYSIOLOGY unless you're into a lecture of just here talking away for 4 hours WITHOUT ANY IMAGES ON YOUR NOTES. her notes were written be her, she abbreviates words and expects you to remember them along the lecture. Her study guides are misleading DO NO strictly go by the study guide. She doesn't make us use the book but I wish she did. I decided to not drop the class as I am more than have way through. I expect to get a B
Difficult subject to say the least. Do all extra credit. Read ahead of class and study off of her study guides. Be prepared to be hit with a massive amount of information in the lecture before the exam - that really, really sucks. The units get more difficult towards the end of the semester, but it's possible to get a decent grade.
Pretty horrible teacher. Lectures were boring and uninteresting. Teacher would get mad when asked any questions during lecture. Read off power points she would often get wrong herself if somebody did not check her. Some teachers get to that point where they become lackadaisical in they're teaching. Look elsewhere for an anatomy teacher.
I had a slight advantage because I already knew so much physiology, so those parts were simple for me. But I spent A LOT of time outside class for anatomy practice. It's a lot. As long as you study the sheets she gives you, you'll be fine. Write down everything she says even if its not on the outline. It will most likely show up on the test.
She gives a lot of extra credit and I thought she was fair with grading and tests. It's not an easy class but it's possible to get an A if you put in the extra hours to study and learn the material. Show up to class, go over her lecture notes until you've memorized them, and do extra credit. Youtube videos helped me study/memorize outside of class.
She is a awesome, hard worker, understandable. She is very fare. I took A&P 34 I & II with her. It is better to take both classes with her.
She is one of my favorite professors at El Co. I took A&P 34 A and B with her. She gives very descriptive and thorough lecture notes. I am currently in nursing school and still reference her notes when I need to refresh on anatomy or physiology. A&P is a tough subject. Be prepared to work hard. Steinberg makes to doable with easy extra credit.
Her quizzes are weird and theyll throw you off.. She was not helpful and only cared about finishing her lecture not the students success. I would not suggest this professor! Take at your own risk.
Professor Steinberg did an okay job lecturing. She always covered all the material and gave us a lot of time with the models in order to prepare for the upcoming tests and practicals. It was hard to follow along with the information, though, as it was not made very interesting. You have to work harder to focus and work even harder outside of class.
Professor Steinberg has been teaching for so long it reflects her teaching styles. seems like she has not updated any of her lectures. lab is fun, lecture is not. get ready to breathe and sleep physio. if you want to pass her class. if you have kids work or can't handle long hours of study, do yourself a favor and find another instructor.
Prof. Steinberg is a kind and caring individual. Her lecture is a bit on the boring side, but if you pay attention during class and study you will surely pass. She also gives a lot of extra credit. Her class is hard enough as it is because of all the information, but the extra credit really helps. If you don't have time to study, don't take her.
This was by far the hardest class Ive ever taken. Do not expect an easy A. Her tests are super in depth and very very difficult, but if you study for them, they really help you digest the information. Shes very nice and willing to help if you ask. Use all your extra credit opportunities, she provides lots. And show up to class!
Do not take her if you are taking Physio for the first time. Her lectures put me to sleep and she lectures even after exams which are 100 questions each. Thats right! She has 200 questions for lecture and lab exams total and she still lectures after them. She is a nice lady but her teaching style is outdated and it seems like she doesn't care.
Overall, Prof Steinberg is a nice a lady and I can tell she cares, but I never had to drop a class until I took this one. The subject is hard itself, but her teaching style didn't really make it easier. I do not recommend taking this class PERIODT..
I LOVE Prof. Steinberg - best professor ever. Definitely participate, ask questions and take lots of pics of diagrams if you want to pass. 5x 100 MC exams + walk-around labs (include lab hw) + EC opps. She gives an extra 10 points for showing up to class every day too. MAKE SURE YOU READ AND STUDY. Take her, study, and enjoy - it'll pay off.
This class had tons of lectures and lab assignments to help you accumulate points. I consider myself an above average student but it's still a challenging course so effort and time management is crucial. Fortunately, she offers lots of extra credit so if you're willing to put in the work you can pass the class with some ease!
This teacher doesnt allow study groups, she doesnt teach and expects you to learn the material yourself without any guidance. You just do notes from the PowerPoints and thats all. Do not take this class for Physiology.
Excessive amount of assignments. At one point something was due every day of the week except one. No amount of time management will prepare you for this class. This is the most difficult course I have ever taken. The study guide she provided was essentially every lecture and lab we had. The study guide should have just said "everything."
I am a diligent student with a 3.7 GPA so far, I am sure she is an awesome teacher in a classroom setting but online it was a nightmare. She overloaded student with work and was a horrible grader. The exams were 1 minute per question. She used different definitions on exams (what I hated)and the study guides were irrelevant they were not precise
Not only does she assign a crap ton of work, but she also doesn't open things up ahead of time and makes assignments due each day of the week. Her quizzes are also way more in depth than her 'PowerPoints' which she just posts each week with no supplemental help. A toddler could run her online "class".
Never wrote a review for a professor until now. This professor is nice but the amount of material she assigns to do is a lot. There is a lot of homework that you have to complete each week on top of studying for a quiz each week. Her tests do not correlate with the lecture study guides she gives and makes it difficult to study. Don't take her!
Terrible and I mean terrible professor!! Her tests/quizzes do not correlate to any of the work she gives. She clearly doesnt understand how to run or unable to adapt to teaching an online class. Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from her classes. If you want to learn anything its best to find a different professor.
By far the worst online class Ive taken. The homework she assigns is busy work (3hrs of hw) & you dont learn much from it. She gives credit based on if you get every single question correctly so youre forced to get it right without giving you the chance to learn anything. She offers extra cred but the amount of work you need to do is extreme.
What makes this class tough, is that she does not do lectures. She posts her PowerPoint slides and calls them lectures. But she never explains them and there isnt opportunity to go over material. The lab portion of the class is in-person, so she goes over that, but the majority of the lab is filling out worksheets. She doesnt teach.
