i am half way through this class , it was extremely hard at the begining as the eassy assigned in this calss were totally different. It is all text based but once you get it, you'll be fine. Ms thompson is very helpful and encouraging to those who wants to learn. You can benefit from her at the tutoring lab where she guides you through you paper.

She is really helpful. I took 94 with her, she does gives you CLEAR helpful advise, which will really prepare you for further Eng. after her, I was better prepared for 96 and 1A. BTW I got A's on her class, but A on the next 2.

Ms. Thompson is a great teacher. Her class was interesting and I had a lot of fun. She is very good at teaching english, and if you do not understand something she will definitely go the extra mile to help you. Thompson is an excellent teacher! 1A was a tough course, but the material she used was interesting and relevant. She offers plenty of help, and if you need it, she also tutors in the writing lab. She'll help you with outlines for papers that almost guarantee you a good grade. She's also funny, talking about things/people in the news. Take her!

Ms. Thompson is definitely a great teacher! Her grading is harder than my 93 teacher. But, Thompson provides great feedback and is always accessible and will help in a heartbeat! She's available at the writing lab, which was a huge advantage as you can get extra help. Assignments were clear and fairly interesting. Also, has sense of humor! =)

Thompson is a great teacher! If you want to learn, you should take her class. Her engegy level always high,and she is willing to help you with your work. For me, who only can take night class, is the perfect teacher because she will keep me up through the whole class section.

Ms. Thompson is a great teacher.You just have to do your work and come to class!She practically gives you all the information you need to create a solid essay during class discussion. She also allows you to turn in 2 rough drafts, she comments on it to help you improve on before turning in the final draft. Take good notes for a succesful paper.

Professor Thompson is a great instructor. I took her Eng93 before and continued to take her Eng96. She is really helpful. I have learned a lot of academic writing and reading, and I think I am ready for challenge of 1A and 1B. There are 2 essays, 1 research paper, 1 summary(based on the book to do with the research ), 1 in-class essay for final.

Professor Thompson gave clear instruction for all the assignment. All the assignments are text-based essays, so she spent a lot of time explaining the articles, helping us to understand better. Also, she gave many suggestions and ideas about how to write the paper. You can even go the the writing lab or her office to get her help.

So,just do your job, and always follow her instruction, plus her help, you can easily get B or A. Those people who were unsatisfied with her, just because they did not follow her instruction, and did not do hard work. You need to learn something by making effort, don't you? She's really an excellent instructor for teaching writing,take her!

sometimes people's expectations are very high. and if you walk in late, with your essay in hand, it's definitively going to be hard for you to get good feed back from the teacher. Ms. Thompson is a nice and funny person. The outline she gave us for essays is very useful. She gave us feed back for draft essays. Then we handed in final essays. Follow her instruction, your writing skills will be improved. Plus you can go to lab or her office for help. She is very patient to explain the articles and give you suggestions.

pretty good class overall, if you are willing to get better at writing and to learn a lot this is a good class to take. Since it a lecture class don't expect to talk much with people while in class. If you are willing to show up and do 5 essays during the semester then take this class

For all the bad reviews: I would assume all the bad reviews are from people who didn't pass this class. This class isn't for someone who doesn't have the drive and/or the appropriate work ethic to be on a college level for English. You can pass her class with a good grade with the right habits of a good student.

Mrs Thompson is a really great professor. I took her 93 class last semester. She is willing to help her students. She doesn't assign much hw but interesting readings. Taking her class you can get very helpful comments and quick feedback on every of your essays. I made a lot progress in her 93 class. I really enjoy her classes. Highly recommend!

Mrs. Thompson is a wonderful teacher. I took her 93 last semester and 1A this spring. She is always so helpful in or outside classes. Her guild line of essays is so clear; I like the way she recommends for organizing writings. With her help, I not only get all As for 1A class writing, but also for papers of other classes. Prof. Thompson's class is very helpful and interesting; which is for students who really want to improve their English reading and especially writing skills. Some comments are bias. You can't expect to get a good grade when you do not do HW or go to class. Mrs Thompson is quite fair since she accepts your late work without affecting your grade. Prof. Thompson is really sexy! My writing has improved a lot and so is my knowledge about narcissism. We watched a video about it, had a group presentation, and some homework, but as long as you do it, you'll get full credit. Just come in to class on time because attendance is mandatory. No quizzes, peer review, or tests. Only 1 textbook and novel.

Her lectures are her talking the whole time, and her grading is tough but if you actually put effort into, you'll easily pass.

One of my best professors. I have learned a lot from her, and she is very helpful and nice. I learned how to write an academic college paper from her, and I improved myself a lot through one semester. If you want to learn something, I highly recommend you take professor Margaret's class. You will gain a lot in writing.

Ms. Thompson is an excellent teacher. I'm an ESL student, and next semester (2017 spring ) I was informed to bump up to English 1A. Like other ESL students, I used to be very worried about writing essays before I finished her English 93. If you are hesitate to add which tutor's class, please never feel hesitate to add hers.

She knows how to teach people and train people to write essays. She is very thoughtful because she will print out each reading material every time, which can help her students save time and money. She is very smart and wise because she knows how to lead her students to the right way. Don't forget to use her tutor time, which is quite helpful.
