She really wants you to pass and do well in her class. Class consists of going over homework problems to prepare you for her tests, which are 20 MC from the book, and then free fill in problems. They are easy, and she grades SUPER fair. TAKE HER

The greatest accounting teacher ever! The class is not hard at all. Yes, there is homework but it's easy and counts toward the grade. If you don't like accounting she will make you understand why we need it and you will end up liking it. The accounting party really helps for the final it's great.

Prof. Tower is great. She explains everything thoroughly. Yes, she grades homework, but she gives most of the answers in class anyway so it's not too much of a burden. She gives easy problems on the exams, but the multiple choice is kinda hard. And the case study is really not that bad.

She is not a hard grader at all. She wants you to get an A. She gives ample opportunities to get an A. She explains everything clearly and is not that strict about attendance.

I would highly recommend Prof. Tower for ACC 101 & 102. If u show up to class, she will make sure that you understand the material. She even pairs students up with tutors if necessary.

She is seriously one of the best teachers out there. She's fun, experienced, and although she doesn't have a doctorate, she brings work experience into her teaching. I highly recommend her for any class, especially 101. The midterm was not bad, and she is not a tough grader. Oh, and she's the best dressed professor I know! It's crazy.

Take this professor. If you go to class, she will help you get through accounting. Tells you what to study, goes through homework answers in class. She REALLY cares about students and helping them succeed. Also tries hard to make accounting at least somewhat interesting. Very available for help in her office. (She hates people leaving class early)

If you stud and do the problems she assigns, you should honestly have no problem getting an A. One time she started crying because some girl bought a small puppy in her class and she thought it was very disrespectful (which it was). HILARIOUS!

Everyone is right. Do your homework and go to class. You should do fine. Helps those she wants to help. Nice to those she wants to be nice to. In the simplest of terms, she picks her favorites. Non-favorites have to work just a little bit harder.

Professor Tower explains material well and gives plenty real world examples. She is very patient and answers all questions even if she asks you to hold on for a few minutes. Tests are not easy, but keep up with the assignments and you'll do well- VERY fair grading. Only minus was group project which required travel to far out suburbs. No favorites.

Professor Tower is really good. Unlike other dull and boring professors, Mrs. Tower was always making jokes and was interesting to listen to. She did mention in class to rate her performance, but clearly some people missed the joke. If you want to get an A in the class study, do the homework, and then study some more. Professor Tower brings in alot of private sector experience to class, which is super helpful when you're teaching Accounting. The class is a total of 300 points: Midterm - 100, Case Study - 20 points, Fieldtrip to ACC Firm - 15, Final Exam - 120, Attendance - 15, Homework - 30. You're allowed 2 absences and the class is all around good.

Great Prof!! Helpful, understanding, knowledgable. Curves every test (Midterm & Final). Relatively easy compare to the other prof. teaching the subject. Notes are the key! She goes over the homework-solutions on bb. All homework problems that were solved on the board in class, were on the test as well! Easy points!

Very nice lady. Very willing to help. Material is difficult and she covers a lot of it pretty quickly. She throws a number of curve balls at you on the tests but usually curves if the class doesnt perform. Review midterm multiple choice for final. Work hard and you will do fine. Not an easy class.

Dissapointed. Midterm 35%; final 40% field trip,case study, and attendance 25%. She doesnt give out any extra credit, or curves. She's a serious teacher from the corporate world. Must study and do all the hw to do well in her class.

This class was not easy. yet she was a very good teacher. she curved almost all the test based on how the class performed and she was always willing to help. she went over problems that were going to be in the test, so there were no surprises. study hard and you would get a good grade.

She gives a lot of information in class but read the book do the problems and you will do great in the class. There are also 4 grades: 2 quizzes, midterm, and final.

Professor Tower is a great teacher. However, if you expect her to hold your hand you may as well not even show up. She is very clear about her expectations and is extraordinarily fair. If you want to learn accounting without the hand holding, take her.

She knows what she is talking about and does a great job of explaining the material and relating it to the job field. She is also fair when it comes to grades as she curves her tests and is easily reachable outside of class. I would absolutely recommend taking her. Just put in the work outside of class and everything will be good.

Well there was a lot of work and the requirements weren't always clear but the course really opens up your eyes to the world of accounting with many speeches by people in the industry and a mentor! Its a lot of work for a credit class but good regardless. She's rigid but good, always open to meet students. She seems angry but deep down she's sweet

This is a college course guys, get with it. I studied a normal amount, went to review sessions, and asked for help when i needed it and ended up with over 100% in the course. She's a great professor, ya you have to work for your grade but welcome to college. I would recommend her but don't expect and easy A.

Prof Tower is a very nice teacher. Her tests are difficult and she makes you read and study on your own. But, like she says this class will determine whether you are made for accounting or not. If you like accounting and you put in the work you can get an A+. She also replaces your first quiz with midterm & midterm with final if better :)

Prof Tower is strict but she knows the industry very well. I took her class at 8:30 am and if students were more than 5 mins ate she would call them out and if you're 10 mins late she won't let you in class. The quizzes aren't that hard but you don't get much time to finish them. The exams were like the quizzes but you get more time. Read the book

Prof Tower will prepare you to be an adult by holding you to such a standard. She respects her class so make sure you do to. She is a great prof and knows her material very well. She is always there to help and wants everyone to do well. She will tell you the exact problems on the midterm and final, make sure you practice these.

One of the most amazing professors I have ever taken. ACC 305 is hard no matter what professor you take it with; you just have to read thoroughly and take notes! With that being said, her tests are difficult, but if you go in for extra help she really helps you understand the material. Tower wishes her students success!

Most genuine professor at DePaul I absolutely respect her as a human, she cares about her students and will do anything to make sure her students pass the class. The material can be difficult at times, but she does a great job teaching it. Grade consists of attendance, 2 quizzes, midterm, final, hw (for completion), and a short project. She offers tons of extra credit, and specifies exactly what to study for the tests. Overall a solid choice for 305 as long as you put in a little work.

Material is tough so make sure to study and not slack off. If you put in the effort, you will do okay.

Had the opportunity of taking her for 304&305 and I must say professor Tower cares and respects her students. DePaul has at most three good accounting professors and she is definitely one of them. Always gives extra credit points in every quiz, exam, and projects. Never leave the essay questions blank even if you do not know the right answer, TRY!

It's a TOUGH class. I respect her SO much, and she respects each and everyone of her students. The class is very hard, but if ur an acc student you def need her real world experience. Saying it is a tough class is an understatement, but prof. Tower is by far one of, if not, the most honest and respected professors you'll experience. Easily the best ACC 304 professor at DePaul. Knows her stuff, kind, helpful, and down to earth. She curves the quizzes and exams by a lot and she tells you which work problems from the book are gonna be on the exams. Homework is online and easy. Take her. You won't regret it.

Took Prof Tower in Spring 2018 when I was unsure if I wanted to do an accounting major. Her class became the reason why I picked up the ACC major and continued to do accounting courses. This class will help you understand financial statements and be applicable to any finance/accounting career after college.

By far one of the best professors I've had in my ACC courses. She truly knows the material and is very helpful if you struggle. Pay attention and the resources are right in front of you. HW is easy and quizzes/test problems are similar to the ones in her lectures. Never leave a problem blank on a test because she gives partial credit for trying!

Girlll. Let me tell you. Every acc class took their midterms+finals online, she made us take ours in person, no notes, no study guide. Amazing professor but you can't just not study a lot and expect to pass. You will need tutors, study groups, and god. But she is a great teacher and if you want to actually learn accounting, take her, if not, run.

I didn't have class with Professor Tower, but she helped me to find an internship at the company where I would be the best fit and helped me to update my resume. Professor Tower is an incredible mentor who cares about her students success. Acc 304 is not an easy course but if you have questions she will go beyond to help you. As a middle aged mother I was scared to enter the work force, but Prof Tower helped me with my resume and supported me until I received my first job offer. I highly recommend her.

While the class is very intense, I can easily say she is one of the best professors at DePaul. A lot of attention is required for the class, so it's not an easy one; but if you are willing to put in the effort, you will get it back. She is also very well connected and willing to help with career advice, so don't be afraid to talk to her!

I got a 100%+ (Yes I know, there was a curve) on both of her exams, and this is the only review that matters. Professor Tower is a genuinely kind and considerate person. More work than you would expect for 2 credits and she sets high expectations for us but it is all to prepare us for success. Every class there is usually an external presentation relating to the topic. There is one paper, a mentor project, and an interview. If you take away one thing from this class, it will be the importance of deadlines.

There's homework for every chapter, 2 take home quizzes, and 2 exams in class. The material itself is pretty difficult but Prof.Tower does her best to get us to understand it. She has sped up her lectures after the midterm so I had to show her down a few times to ask questions. She offers extra credit for going to accounting related events.

Professor Tower cares about you. She might look mean on the outside, but once you apply yourself to the course and get to know her, she can change your whole view of your career. Don't view this class as an easy A; otherwise, you will not learn anything.

I recommend heavily taking 250 with Tower. She not only is a great teacher but she is the best in the business department at finding job/ internship opportunities. Taking this class in your first 2 years at DePaul will set you up for post-grad. She is very invested in student success and helping students get where they need to be.
