Great teacher.. Her final exam came exactly from the four test that we took through out the semester. Great Lab teacher as well.

Ms. Flood is one of the "coolest" teachers! Her love of Biology spilled over into her classroom and we were all better for having her as a professor. Make an effort to take her classes!

She seems confusing when lecturing and then you get one of her test and find out that she is pretty easy. Just study a little bit and you will find that the class is easy. She is very nice and very helpful!!

Ms. Flood is a great teacher. I am considering changing my major because she made biology so interesting and fun. With some studying, her test are very easy. She loves her job and it shows. She is very respectful and considerate of her students. Always willing to take time for extra help.

Class is a joke!!! Anybody could at the very least pass this class. Just show up and turn stuff in, even if it's done wrong you will get an A in the class. The practical at the end of the class is VERY HARD, but only because it's not her test, it's a department test!

There is a ton of material on her exams, but if you study you will do well. She gets very involved with the students and makes the class fun. She is the best science teacher I have ever had!

Mrs. Flood is the nicest lady. I really needed to get into a class and lab and even though hers were full, I just emailed her and she let me in no problem. Her tests are pretty hard, so study! She gives a good amount of extra credit. I am so bad at Biology but I got an A in the class and B in lab. Take her! I am taking her again for ESCI!

her class was super boring, but also super easy. She offers a ton of extra credit. I got C's on all of my tests, but because of the extra credit and writing assignments (which were also easy) I got an A in the class.

She is a bit monotone but if you sit close to the front you will catch her quirky comments. Very helpful when you don't understand something. The extra credit helps a lot!

Great teacher, very passionate about what she does. Field trips were fun. Tests were easy, everything was graded easy. She is monotone, but pretty funny if you listen closely. Brought my girlfriend on some of the field trips. I'd take her class again.

I think she is awesome! I had her for Environmental Science and she is the most considerate teacher I have had at Gainesville College! I wish that semster was not over becasue her class was the one I loved going to every day! She loves what she does and therefore her students enjoy it more! I really think she is a sweet lady and I recommend her!!

She is my favorite prof. i have ever had at GSC. I love Mrs. Flood! She is so funny and nice! Her class is very interesting too!

She is a nice lady & gives a a lot of extra credit but her class is boring, she lectures the whole time. She takes a LONG time to grade everything. She does give study guides, but she still ask questions from the PowerPoints (which she waits a while to put up). If you study the PowerPoints & study guides you will do fine & her lab is really easy!

She is a good teacher and you can tell that she is interested in what she teaches. She gives lots of extra credit and her final is straight from her old tests. Pretty easy class, would take her again.

I love Mrs. Flood. She's great and loves what she teaches!! Do what's expected, and you'll do great in her class.

She is a hard professor, but she is very dedicated to this subject. The tests are hard. You have to put in a lot of effort, do what is expected out of you, and show up everyday. The lab is easy though!

Mrs. Flood is kind, helpful, & very approachable. Study, review her ppts, and read the book- you'll do well in her class. 1108 is hard, but if you actually apply yourself (show up to class every now and then), she will help you. Her tests aren't verbatim from lecture- she expects you to learn and apply the material... this is college after all!

Very nice lady, and is willing to elaborate on anything with environmental science but her class was god awful. Unorganized, tests were hard, some of the question were based off a tangent she goes on ( how am I supposed to remember that)? Lectures were boring and very monotone. The power-points were god awful. I do not recommend.

Love her! She is a great help & great to talk to. You get out what you put into class. This is an invert class--it's identifying. You have to spend time learning how to use a key; you won't just "pass" by guessing. Practicals were a little difficult, but if you study you will do just fine.

Nice, but unorganized.Takes forever to upload PPTs. Tests are hard- couldn't pass any of them, even the final, but got a B in the class- there's a lot of other work to do. Lab- just show up, do the work. I got an A. She waited til the day of the final to give us grades and graded papers back.

Professor flood is an amazing person, however her test are UNBELIEVABLY hard! I graduated high school with a 4.3 gpa and i absolutely love science and this class was an intense struggle the entire semester! Her tests are NOTHING like the PowerPoints so you will have to study your butt off and still might not even pass. Lab isn't as bad though.

I love Mrs. Flood! She explains everything in great detail and is always willing to help if a student is having trouble. She is very understanding and flexible. If you study hard, participate and put effort forth you will make a good grade. If you are already passionate about nature and conservation, you will love Mrs. Flood.

Mrs Flood is an absolutely WONDERFUL professor and person overall. I recommend taking her classes only if it is something that you are interested in. She makes it clear what she wants you to know and her assignments are straight forward. Put in some effort and thought and you will do well in her class. Look forward to collection dates, they're fun!

I don't see why so many people complain about her. She is not a conventional professor, but this was no problem to me. Study the PowerPoints and you'll make a good grade. She's passionate about what she does for sure. Only issue: If you have a busy schedule, it might be difficult to get in the 8 hours of environmentally related community service.

I took Professor Flood for lab and really wish she was my lecture professor. She usually gives two weeks to complete assignments and the assignments that she gave were actually kind of fun to do.

Honestly just study and you'll be fine. She's extremely understanding if you talk to her. Please just listen to her, she's really passionate about her job

If you're looking for an easy A, do not take this class. If you don't mind studying and working for your A, you'll do very well in this class. Tests are multiple choice and short answer so you really need to understand the material. She doesn't babysit you by reminding you when things are due- she expects you to act like an adult and work hard

Dr. Flood took me by surprise. I thought I would struggle with a hard class like freshwater inverts but she made it so much fun and interesting I find myself collecting bugs for fun now. She is old school & wants you to learn hands on by getting the practice (this helps a lot with tests). Highly recommended 4 a cool teacher who is passionate!

She is so great!! She provides study guides at the end of each chapter as well as review questions at the end of her PowerPoints that help a lot for the test. She cares a ton for her students and their grades. She is wonderful and has a lot of good room for conversations and discussions in class.

Mrs. Flood is great. Shes caring and funny. She goes above and beyond to provide a study guide for every test. She straight up says if you miss class every once in a while, I dont care. The ONLY downfall is that she requires 10 hours of community service, but it is simply because shes so passionate towards caring about the environment.

I've taken Professor Flood for several classes now, and I love her classes and labs. Tests are often open ended questions, which really give you a chance to show what you know versus mc. Generous grader. Understand the concepts and you'll be fine. Overall a very kind, pleasant, knowledgable professor. Just participate and you'll do great.

Flood was the GOAT! She gave us awesome opportunities for field trips. The labs were fun made friends from them. Her lectures were very understandable. She is very sweet and is passionate about Bio.

Flood was the GOAT she is so amazing and loves what she does. I would 100% take her again she gave us opportunities for field trips. Easy A class all you do is labs and quizzes. Everything is pretty much given to you.

This class was so freaking easy. I'm not a science person at all and I did fine. She's a good teacher and makes the class really easy and the labs engaging. We went on several field trips too. Great teacher, kinda disorganized tho, and crap ton of assignments. But this class was stupid easy so it's lowkey worth it. Overall, great class.

Flood was great. Very engaging w/ her assignments. Plenty of opportunities to boost your grade. My one knock is that her PowerPoints are out of date (some are 10+ y/o). Def an old school professor with higher expectations than most, but that has its benefits. If you can stay on top of things despite the disorganization, you should be fine.

Dr. Flood is a great professor. I'm not really into plants, but she explains the material clearly. She's not very tech-savvy, and labs take a while to be graded, but she offers lots of extra credit. She also uses many pictures in lectures, so following the textbook helps. Overall, she's good, but sometimes assume you already know the concepts.
