What can I say about Mrs. Underwood, she is the BEST teacher ever, I'm glad I met this person she is not only a teacher but a great human being. If you take her class you will not only learn but have fun doing so. She cares about her students!!!!

Margo was a great teacher. I did feel overwhelmed in her class and confuessed at times, but it worked out in the end. for your final u had to take a test online and do a presentation. I failed the test, but still got a B because of other work done. I took her because someone told me too and she was not bad. She's not all that ez but i did enjoy the class in the end.

My favorite teacher by far at COD. She made the class interesting and fun, I actually looked forward going to it, which is big for me.

I've had Margot for two classes now, and she is the best teacher ever!! You really have to try to fail her class, because she makes it easy to do the work and get the points. She is also the perfect person to talk to about any problems you have. She is an amazing teacher, successful psychologist (she owns her own practice) and the perfect mom to her two beautiful children. I really suggest taking her class as an elective and especially if you are the least bit interested about psychology. Kudos to her!!

She was such a wonderful teacher. I loved going to her class. She's hilarious. I was so nervous about my final presentation on the health of masterbation and she encouraged me and I did great on it. She just an amazing person overall and I would recommend her to anyone!!

Awesome teacher and easy to understand and get along with. She tells you what is expected of her students and doesnt surprise you with anything. She's passionate about the material, and is willing to do everything in her power to make you succeed (so long as you show some incentive). My only complaint is her lack of clarity sometimes. She is more than fair and frequently goes out of her way to help her students. Her teaching is the standard to which other instructors should be held to.

Margot Underwood is probably the best professor that I've had in all my 4 years of college. She's SO passionate about what she does and how she teaches, and she is also passionate about her students. She's very easy to talk to and very high-energy. The grades were always up to date, and she made sure to make herself readily available. BEST class!!!

OMG!! I have never had a teacher more enthusiastic about teaching than her. This is not a blowoff class! She will work with you, and will never give up. SHe met with us outside class, she would stay with us hrs after class. Teachers like her are hard to find. Im transferring outa COD, but im most likely gonna come back just to take her psych class.

Underwood will take every possible step to help you, devoting hours outside of class for group discussions and study sessions, so do not take her for granted, and do not take this class for granted. What a wonderful professor, she took her personal time to help anyone who needed it. The class is not an easy class,but Margo will do whatever it takes for you to understand.

OK then this teacher may be nice and all but this class is a lot of work. She is there to "help you" but she asks other students who to help you. Also the feild note book takes up all your life. Would never tell anyone to take her class. she is known to write commonts about her self on hear so watch out.

Margot is amazing! I took Statistics w/her and she nearly bent herself into a pretzel shape to help her students succeed. If you don't understand or something isn't clicking Margot will stick with you until you understand- no matter how many times/different ways she has to explain. By far Margot is the most amazing teacher COD has to offer.

Margot's a really great person but her class is HARD, actually probably the hardest I have ever taken in my college career. She's cool but sometimes she almost gets too into her lectures and throws in a ton of extra unnecessary info, which can make you feel more confused at times...

Yeah this class is hard but, Margot goes out of her way to make sure that you pass. It's fast paced & energetic, she keeps you on your toes. I hate math & math hates me, but she is so understanding& extremely helpful. I have no idea what some of the ppl on here are complaining about, yeah the class is hard, but don't blame it on the teacher.

Yes, the class is challenging, but there is no reason why anyone shouldn't do well, Margot is available to help and will go out of her way to do so. Margot is one of the BEST teachers ever! Stats is definitely not my class but she helped me get through it. She was always there for help and would come in an hour early to help us and held open lab sessions where we could ask questions. If you have to take a stats class I would definitely take hers, even if it transfers to another school! :)

She is definatley one of the best instructors I have ever had.This class requires alot of time and effort (so be prepared to work and don't miss class) but she will help in any way and is one of the most flexible teachers out there. If it wasn't for her I probably would have given up.This class will give you the confidence to complete anything.

Material is interesting but can do without the instructor's classroom drama. Class atmosphere resembles a high school classroom. Students seem to like her since she does a lot of mothering and hand holding. Not my style and I would not take her again.

She is definitely the best teacher I've had. She is always willing to connect. She doesnt care about due-dates, you can hand in all your homework the last 3 weeks of class. We had to do a presentation and speaking in public scares me death, so she let me present to her privately. Tests are online & very hard, you really have to think about it.

Amazing professor. Just about the best I've ever had. She really sticks out in my mind when I think about school. It's not the easiest subject, but she really spells it out for you and applies statistics to how they might actually affect your life.

I took this class for the summer. it was extreamly hard. I was going to every class, and even meeting with my classmates after the class. Margo is so helpful. Pleanty of xtra credits, test online. I was working like crazy on my field notebook. Anyway, it was worth it, because I got A in this class. You have to work hard and you will get A!luv Margo

She is so interesting to listen to; great speaker and makes stats relevant to everyday life, but it is hard to understand the math concepts from her. She jumps around a lot and goes through things too quickly. The nice thing is she's very easy on grading, so even if you don't understand it all you can get a good grade.

A lot of work! But she is very helpful and walks you through it. She talks really fast sometimes but besides that she good. Very positive person. Passionate about pysch and very knowledgeable about stats. Not that bad of a class. Stats suck but she is a good professor. Works hard to make sure all students get an A or B.not a slacker class!

When I took stats for psych years ago I hated it. It was hard and she required lots of work! Now I am going to grad school and I need to say Thank You Margot!! I know the material better than anyone else in my class. It was a hard class, she is a demanding professor, but you'll thank her later if you put the effort in!

Seriously one of the best teachers i've ever had. Funny has fun activities instead of boring read from the notes. Everything is do at your own pace. Not an easy class, but she helps you completely along the way. MUST TAKE. Really Recommend.

Margot is very personable/smart/enthusiastic. This class was mandatory for me and outside of my comfort zone. Bonus: She allows for and encourages group studies, and has plenty of extra credit available. Tough: The field notebook is a large part of the grade (250/600 pts). Start early and find a good/smart group of people to work with right away.

Margo was a wonderful teacher! She is so passionate for the subject and students. There was a section that the class was not understanding and she research other ways to explain it. And we eventually understood it. The field notebooks were so stressful but if you started early you were fine. I am trying to take another one of her classes.

I recommend Margo. She is absolutely brilliant, and her class is a lot of fun. She is a little eccentric, and I know that may scare some students away. The field notebook in her statistics class can be pretty intimidating, but she will give you as much help as she can.

THIS CLASS, AS SHE WILL TELL YOU, IS A BOATLOAD OF WORK. MATH CONCEPTS ARE NOT TERRIBLY HARD BUT IT MOVES AT LIGHT SPEED. FIELD NOTEBOOK ADVICE: WORK WITH A GOOD GROUP = GOOD GRADE. NO GROUP OR BAD GROUP YOU WILL FAIL. HOWEVER, MARGO IS VERY NICE AND WILL HELP YOU, SHE DOES NOT WANT TO FAIL ANYONE AND GIVES EX/CR. AVG WORK PER WEEK 10 HOURS.

I love Margo, w/o doubt my favorite prof. Her husband even helps out in class - cool guy. She genuinely cares about people and she is a truly great person. The class is a LOT of busy work, but not extremely hard. Need to work w/ a team!! Exams are online w/ retakes. Counts as a 1000 level math class & you can get the prereq's waived. TAKE IT!

What an Amazing woman! Margot is wonderful. I personally really struggle with math, but I learned how to use SPSS in Psych Stats. Her husband helps out sometimes and her whole family is totally awesome. I wish she taught more classes. Margot teaches from the heart! Take her, you are lucky to have her as your Professor!

TAKE HER!!! When I overhear people talking about their schedules and they say they're taking another teacher for Psych-Stats at COD I want to laugh. You're doing yourself a disservice by NOT taking Margot. It's not easy in terms of workload and but you WILL GET AN A if you do the work.

Very hard subject. She makes it as pallet able as possible. She truly wants you to learn. And if you want to pass you have no other option but to do so. Lots and lots of work. She is very helpful and wants everyone to be successful. Even though it was tough I would highly recommend taking stats with her. Stay on top of your homework.

She is mom-like. She gives a lot of homework, but it is not all mandatory. She just wants everyone to understand the material. She already had an online format to begin with, so because of COVID, it was a very easy transition and she is incredibly understanding to people's situations. The topics are interesting and she has a story for everything.

One of the nicest teachers I've come across, genuinely cares for students and understands they have lives outside of academia. Lectures are sometimes slow but you'll be fine as long as you read the book, stats is rarely easy so don't expect to breeze through.

Professor Underwood is incredibly knowledgeable and very respectful. She is clear on what she expects from her students and is willing to work with students if they are struggling. She is will always welcome you to her class for the day and address you by name. I would re-take this teacher.
