When i first went into this class i wasn't really interested in psyc. But Margo made the class fun and interesting and I am glad to have had the experience of meeting her. I highly recommend her class.

Mixed feelings. If you show up and participate, it's hard not to get an "A". However, she's manic and all over the board sometimes. She picks on you if she catches you looking at the clock or if you sit in the back. Probably wouldn't take her again.

Prof Underwood is a real nice teacher she helps out her students and is willing to come before or stay after class.Everything is in the powerpoints and if you dont understand it she could give u examples to make it more clear.You also learn how to do reaerch which may be real helpful if you decide to continue into a 4yrs school.

She does move very fast but everything you need to know is in the power points, and if you do not understand something she will be happy to explain it better to you. She is not a strict grader at all, she gives a lot of different opportunities for extra credit and help with test grade.

This teacher is fun but firm. She is understanding and a great motivator to keep us trying no matter what the situation. She had great strategies to help understanding material giving many opportunities for questions or debate. The best part is she knew her material and used only what she taught for her testing. This is a well defined teacher.

She understands that everyone learns differently and takes that into account with all assignments. Buybacks after tests are great and help with understanding. You will learn in this class. Your grade in this class is pretty much up to you. You do not have to be a perfect student to get a perfect grade, but you will have to take the time to do the work, and in doing so you can get an A. Margot is very understanding. Class is a lecture but she keeps it interesting. The class is semi easy if you keep up on your work, Only things that you get graded on is tests, Final Project and lecture notes which can be printed off the internet and turned in. I took 215 online and it was really difficult. her tests are super hard. there are critical thinking questions that make not sense. i would take her in class not online because her power point suck. i ended up with an A only because her gave us some extra credit at the end. but if u take this online be prepared to study a lot!

I took Margot for two classes a few years ago, and wish I could find another psych teacher like her! I was not excited about psych before her class, but she was so good that I almost made it my major! She can be tough, but pushes you because she knows you have the potential! Great teacher!

Extremely energetic & passionate professor. Ms Underwood invests time into her students and you will get an "A" if you work for it.You will learn in this class, if Psych is not your forte you are wasting her time. I took the online version of psych 215, she is very friendly, and willing to go beyond her job as an instructor to help you out, even if it means extensions on certain assignments, and she will always praise you on the work you have turned in.

I took this course in the summer. She is nice but lazy on doing her part of the work. She gives you tons of busy work for a summer class. You do walk away knowing the material though. Its kinda hard!

She is a very cool teacher and easy to get along with but do not take her class if you do not want to work. You earn the grade you deserve by how much effort you put in. Even though I saved almost everything until about 3 weeks before the due date and had to skip a few nights of sleeps, this class was still incredibly fun and I learned a lot. The tests are college level, so really know your stuff.

She's amazing! The best teacher I've ever had in my entire life. She requires a lot of work and participation but dont't get discouraged you will learn! Especially for those students who is paying for the class out of pocket it is worth every penny! She is loud and friendly and speaks her mind. Trust me she makes learning fun.

I took Margot's online class, and I liked her, but there was too much busy work. Each week you had an original post & three responses. Often,there were videos to view on top of the week's reading. Learning objectives take a lot of time to complete. Good class & teacher, but only take the online class if you have a light load.

Margo will help you out if you need it, and her class is fairly easy; however, very time consuming. Her online class has lengthy homework assignments and lengthy discussion boards, due each week! Its almost like she thinks her class is the only one her students are taking.

Margot is the greatest teacher I've ever had. I've never had a teacher so passionate and she truly loves her students and what she does. There is no due dates but I suggest you get stuff done early. This course required me to be very committed as prof. Underwood assigns very time consuming assignments that, in my personal opinion, does not help in regards to learning. I took this class over the summer in 6 weeks. We had 3-4 2,000 word "papers" due each week plus 1-2 discussion boards. While it was doable it was a little difficult at times. I think if taken during a full semester the work load would have been easier. Overall, great teacher.

Great online curriculum. Every week there is a discussion board, "learning objective" (LO's), and quiz. They are very easy. Don't be scared of the LO's. She asks for 2000 words total worth of answers, but you can copy them straight from the book (which is provided free online by her) and get a 10/10. Easy A, take her.

Professor Underwood is really down to earth and very helpful. What are due dates? The most aggravating thing about the class is "the virtual life" it's very time-consuming and a waste of time. No final exam other than taking your last chapter exam online for your final exam grade. If you don't go to her class it upsets her. Don't take it online

Yes, you WILL have to do actual reading and actual assignments for each chapter, as well as a discussion board. But put in the time and you'll do great. This was an online class so there was a little more reading and homework than a physical classroom-type class. Syllabus was very easy to follow and understand. Although there is a lot of time commitment to this class, it is online and you can complete it in your own time. I personally completed all of the assignments quickly and did not have any work to do past mid November. The work is also fun and interesting. I learned a lot!

The class was very interactive and fun. Some tests and modules you have to complete. Pretty hard to get below an A as the instructor allows you to take the modules an infinite amount of time until you get one hundred percent on them. Plus, the major exams will be allowed to be retaken at least one time.

Due to COVID-19 I took her honors course online. It was very easy to understand and she posted a chapter a week. She gives a couple extra credit assignments that are super easy. There are discussion boards and small assignments. She does not lecture, you are to learn through reading then review what you read through her homework

I took this course with Professor Underwood as an 8-week online course. She provides quick email responses, feedback on assignments, etc. She uses different learning tactics I haven't used before but it helped me understand the class better. Her lectures make you want to learn more, she is one of the reasons I'm a psych major, so yes take her class and thank me later. learns diff. parts of the brain

Overall great teacher, will be there for you. just by showing up and doing the work your going to pass, the only thing that sucks was the learn smarts which don't have anything to do with underwood, they are time-consuming. would defiantly take her again!

I appreciated Mrs. Underwood this whole course. I took her online 6-8 week class and she was very helpful. If you respect her she respects you. Talk to her and she will understand. I learned a lot in this course and she was very organized and fun!

Mrs. Underwood was a great professor. This is my first semester back in school and online. As long as you do your work you are guaranteed an A. Professor Underwood replies fast and communicates well.

Margot is the best teacher you could ever take for anything. I had her for Lifespan Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. She is so understanding, homework weekly, super easy just time consuming. Her lectures are amazing and treats you as people rather than students. If i needed anyone to talk to, it was Margot! I loooooooove her

Trust me, please take her as a teacher. She lectures in a way that shows that she truly cares about psychology and her students. She has the most beautiful energy. You will look forward to going to her class. The most understanding when it comes to assignments. She NEEDS a raise. She has what ALOT of professors lack. I wish I could type more.

I'm begging you to take this teacher. Mrs. Underwood is fantastic! She made learning the material in this course super easy and exciting. The homework assignments and discussion boards are actually very helpful/fun and the tests are very straight forward. Overall, this has to be one of my favorite teachers and courses I've taken at JJC! :)

it looks like a lot of assignments at first but easiest class ever. if you email her with questions she responds fast and grades assignments by the next day. you can tell she is a caring teacher. there is nothing besides good words to describe Underwood. would definitely take her for future classes when i have the chance.

She is an amazing teacher. She is very understanding whether its something personal or need more time for the homework. She's so sweet and respects everyone. She does give work but gives enough time to complete it. She does everything you need to help pass the class.

I finished this class on-line, besides reading the chapters, most weeks there is a Discussion Question with replies to other students. Each week there is a Learn Smart simulation to complete which was very easy. Then there is a quiz over that simulation. Easy tests.

Wish I could take her on different courses. Please choose her as a professor in psychology if you ever got the chance!

Professor Underwood is the BEST! Took her 6week summer course for Psyc101 she is my favorite professor. I wish I can have her for all my courses! Since our course was 6 weeks there was a lot of work, but I am sure her longer courses probably had an easier load. Do the work you will pass! Hands down best professor at JJC! Best wishes!

Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a teacher like Margot. She is the most caring and kind person I have ever met. She made the classroom a safe environment and I have never once felt stressed about her class. I took her for Psych 101 and 215 and I wish I could take her for more. She takes you in as her own.

I should have written this review long ago but Margot Underwood is hands down one of the best professors at JJC. She is so compassionate and funny. Everything is outlined very well, it is hard to get lost in her class and even if you did somehow, she would make sure you get back on track. If you are taking psychology classes and see her, sign up!!

I love Margot. She is the best professor I have had. She truly cares about her students and wants us to succeed. I missed class one day and she made sure that I was caught up, had the notes, and made sure everything was okay. She also makes sure that you understand the lesson. She's the best. I highly recommend her.

I loved her! Had her for an online course, but she responded back to my email in like minutes. She always gave extra credit on tests (if you ask her ;) ) and it really seems like she cares about how you do in the class. A lot of reading but that is any psychology class haha. Just try your best and you'll get a good grade trust me.

Margot is unlike any other professor. She truly loves what she does and ensures positive energy towards all her students. She is such a kind and compassionate soul and makes learning fun and stress free. If you miss a class or have a late assignment, she will ALWAYS let you make it up and gives full points. Quite literally the best teacher you will ever get at JJC. Margot is such a caring soul and truly cares about her students and their futures. We had a quarter of class devoted to trying to receive and sign up for scholarships. She understands that most of her students are working and going to school, so any deadline was easily move back if needed.

I took her psych lifespan class last semester. Not only is Margo one of the best professors out there, but she is also an amazing human being. She cares for each kid, and she truly wants you to succeed in life.

Obvious that she cares for her community from the top down. Material can be difficult to grasp if you're not diligent, but she will definitely be supportive to you. I'm not sure about taking higher level classes w/ her because her lectures aren't very informative, but she's a great character and was the only professor I kept in touch with.

Prof. Underwood is an amazing teacher who makes the class fun and stress-free. Her assignments and tests are straightforward, and she's very understanding. Definitely take this class - unstuckstudy ai is a great study tool too!

I would recommend this professor if you need to take PSYC 101, this class was 10/10 I had 0 complaints. Teacher is understanding about social anxiety and leads the class like this. She is makes her classroom very comfortable and home like. Made this class worth taking and also enjoyable!

Professor Underwood is one of the best, if not THE best professor that JJC offers regarding psychology. She genuinely cares about her students and engages students in her teachings. Tests can be taken online and at home which is amazing. Super easy to understand and homework is a breeze. Highly highly recommend her.

Professor Underwood is a great teacher who is very helpful and caring. I took her for 101 in person and 215 online and got an A in both classes. She assigns 3-4 things a week and offers extra credit. Her exams are not very difficult and she lets you use your book and notes on quizzes.

Amazing teacher very kind responds very fast to emails

She is extremely kind and understanding, she does give a lot of "busy work" but sometimes does not leave proper feedback. I would take her again because I like the way the schedule is set up and how we do the same thing pretty much every week.
