lots of work, make u think it's an easy course but watch out for final!

fair, got c on 1st exam, low b on 2nd, and took final...ended up with a B for the class. i'll be honest you have to work for the grade...not a kick back class, keep up with your hw and try not to miss class

She is very good, but sometimes confuses the class. Tries to sneak in too many things in a short duration. Too much of home work. Grading style OK.

I was so worried about this class and she made it a lot easier. She was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend her.

this class is not an easy class no matter what professor you have. she is one of the best at sjsu and one of the few business prof that care. to get a good grade you have to try really hard because it is a hard class.

If you aren't studying material in the first place, you shouldn't be in school. If you did well in Finite Math, this class is a breeze, I agree you don't need to go to class, but you always should anyway. She is SOOOO nice and motivates me. Anyone to give her a bad mark is a bad student, IMHO.

Very systematic. Home assignment she gives are well planned to cover the topic. Working out the home assignments completely almost guarentees a good score and makes the subject easier to handle. Presents interesting application of statistics. Overall, she's very good.

Come to class! She illustrates and explains every details of the material. A lot of helpful handouts to help you do the Excel problems and prepare for the exams! Grading is fair but you need to pay attention in class and try to understand as much as you can of the assigned HW problems.

What can I say, Bus 190 isn't the easiest class. You're gonna have to put some of that desk time regardless what teacher you take. This lady is really nice and grades fairly (lots of partial credit). Make sure to keep and study well all the handouts. In short, put in the time and you'll do well.

This professor is the nicest teacher you will ever meet. She puts so much time and effort into her lectures. She is there for the students and wants everyone to do well. She should be a first choice when deciding who to take 190 with. Very fair homework and exams!

Very hard class to begin with. She is helpful, but VERY scatter brained. It makes the lecture hard to keep up with many times. Not the best professor for a hard class. I don't recommend unless you like and extra challenge.

Dudes, In order to get a good grade in any 190 class your gonna have to put in some time. Unlike most 190 teachers professor yetiman makes sure the whole class understands before she moves on to other material. She's a good teacher, so just study and you'll be oK!

Such a sweet professor. Always has a positive attitude & tries to work as a team w/ every single problem. Doesn't like anybody getting left behind - willing to help & very approachable. Her curves only affects the ones that are dying in the class, however. I love her drive trying to teach her students.

STATS it self is a hard subject. but she makes it to the easiest, hoping everyone can understand. i know "Anaya" is suppost to be the best in Bus 90/190. but yetimyan ranks up there too. EXTRA helpful, will stay till u get it. curves too. Quiz is only 10% of the class. manageable exams, as long as u study hard and understand the concepts. i got a B

Yetiman is very nice, but a little scatterbrained. Her lessons are a little difficult to understand but she gives a lot of handouts, Her exams are kind of hard and one word answers are sometimes 7 pts. She is very nice and curves. I don't know if she's hard of if statistics is just hard in general.

Probably the worst class I have ever had at SJSU. Her tests are really hard and unless you have no life its almost impossible to get an A. She is very sweet and loves the people that act like they are really into learning. Find someone who took her and has her tests because they are the only thing you should study to even have a chance.

Yetimyan is one of the nicest people i have met at SJSU. She is a little hard to follow during lecture, and the tests are not easy. Just make sure you show up for lecture, take notes, and STUDY. I would recommend her for BUS 190.

This class itself is very hard. Yetimyan is a good teacher, but she tends to move along through the material too quickly. 2 midterms are decent but still need to study for them. Final is BRUTAL and accounts for 35% of your grade. I would take Davis for 190.

I had her since BUS 90. ONE OF THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD in SJSU. She gives quizzes in each chapter to get prepared for midterms and a final. I know that most people think this is a hard class, but if you study, do the homework, attend every classes, and take good notes, you'll understand the concepts better and do well in the class.

Teacher is super nice and very helpful. She's a sweet little lady. However, she's kinda all over the place and her lectures are hard to follow. I made it through the class by going to the tutorial center and got the answers of the hmwk problems. She curves her test.

First off, she is a very nice person. You can tell that she cares about her students. That said, she teaches the class very fast that is sometimes hard to follow. The exams aren't too hard if you study for them, though she doesn't really prep you for them. The Excel HW is tough, see her office hours for help. Final is 30% and cummulative.

got a B with her in 90, but 190 didn't try as hard, so got a C. the material for 190 is just hard and confusing. she tries to be avaliable at all times for you, a very nice, sweet lady who cares about you, if you understand her quizzes and her handouts, then the 2 midterms is easy. the only hard part is the final because its cummulative.

Prof. Yetimyan is very sweet and approachable, willing to help her students. I never read the book, i just attended her lectures everyday & took notes. I did all of the assigned homework problems and went to her office hours if i didn't understand something. I like her teaching methods, very effective. I got an A- in her class.

This class is not easy. Make a habit of going to class. Take your quizzes to her office before the midterms and you will do well. DO THE HOMEWORK! Thats where the quizzes and test questions come from.

She is the nicest teacher at SJSU, but I had a ton of trouble passing this class. Looking back and smiling at her habits like: "is everyone with me?" "do you follow?" "now look at the board!" Funny in an unintentional way. Hungarian method is easy, but the decision trees will make you want to hang yourself from 1 of the limbs!

I took this a year ago and still have nightmare memories about this class. She is a sweet lady and wants to help, but the stuff is not easy any way you look at it. Get a C- and move on. She thinks this stuff is easy but we all have lives outside of decision trees and probability. Stay on top of the class and go to her if you need help.

She's a friendly and fairly jolly professor. She might be a tad bit too smart for the general college student. However, she gives plenty of encouragement if you don't miss classes and do all the homeworks on time. Quizzes tended to be out of homeworks questions. Just take good notes, so you can review them. in my book, she gets an A or A-

She is such a helpful professor, both in the classroom and during office hours. The material is not easy, but she will go over it until everyone understands it. Examples given in class and in hw are harder than the ones on the exam and there are never any surprises. I would reccomend taking this class soon after taking stats and finite math.

Material is very hard, but she explains it very well. quizes are easy but tests are hard. she is one of the better teachers i have had. go to office hours and she will like you.

This professor is very helpful. The material is hard however if you try to learn either by listning to lecture or reading the book you should do well. Do the HW's most of her quizes are HW questions but with numbers changed.

Really challenging material, really great teacher. Must attend class, pay attention to lectures, and do homework before class. Quizzes are based on homework and exams are based on study sheets. Do not fall behind and you are ok.

BUS190 is DIFFICULT as it is. She is very helpful to anyone that is having problems, and is very good at explaining anything. You will have to apply yourself in this class regardless, it's a Statistics/Finite Math hybrid. Do the homework to help learn (she doesn't grade it). Chapter quiz every week, they help. Midterms aren't too hard if you try

Yetimyan really makes an effort to help students understand the material - yet for some reason, I found the lectures confusing. The material really is NOT as hard as is sometimes seems.. but it is useful to have a tutor.

Excellent professor. She'll take the time to explain the material, especially if you go to her OH. If you want to do well on exam and quizzes, just do the hw (mostly not graded) - it's that simple. Students seem to struggle with 1st exam, but do better on 2nd one. Six quizzes, roughly one per chapter. Concepts taught in this course are very useful.

Prof. Yetimyan is a great professor. She goes out of her to way to help you understand the material. She doesn't move on until all questions are answered. Lectures are very clear. She is such a sweet lady that cares about her students. I definitely recommend everyone to take her.

This professor is a little quirky but very helpful. The tests questions are all similar to problems discussed in class or quizzes, so if you understand the lecture notes you will be able to pass the tests.

BUS 190 is not easy, that's for sure. However, taking it with Ms. Yatiman will make it a lot easier than what it actually is. Ms. Yatiman puts in a lot of effort explaining the subject and is ALWAYS available online when you need her. Just now, over the Thanksgiving weekend, she has helped me already three times. Take her; she's amazing.

This course is general s**ks. Too much material in a short amount of time. Y is a helpful teacher, go to her office to clear up questions, she lives in there. Class is boring but not her fault, go to class for quizzes, 6 and drops lowest. Some HW to turn in but easy points, 2 midterms, comprehensive final... OUCH. You need the book.

First, it is the material, not the prof that is not easy. Imagine a semester worth of "word problems". She gives ample time in class to answer questions and go over problems. Yes, she is repetitive, but it is so that as many as possible understand. Quizzes every chapter to make sure students "get it". Grading is fair.

She is helpful for sure. It is all about the materials not about her. I am sure she is much easier than other teachers. Quizs are a gift. You need to work a little bit. If you are the kind of person who reads the text book before class. This class is for you. go for it.

The final is more difficult than the mid-term. Mid-terms are okay, IF you study. Bus 190 in general is very difficult yet she already makes it easier. At least, she is not talking to herself only. Other professors are just talking their mind while giving their leature.... read the book and form the study group with good classmates.

Very nice woman. Go to the lectures or else you won't understand the concept. Don't try memorizing the material but understand the process during her lectures. Lectures are VERY important. Class was easy and not hard at all like everyone makes it to be. Do some of the homework for practice and exams cover material in lectures.

She is a great teacher. Her English is fine, easy to understand. The problem is that students don't have the statistics and finite background needed to make it thru the course. She is very helpful and obviously wants her students to succeed. She gives a lot of partial credit on exams. You have to study for 190 so don't overload your schedule.

Dr. Yetimyan is going to be your best bet for QBA. She always tries her best to help all of her students. This is not an easy subject and does all she can to get you through it. I highly recommend her to any student.

Not an easy class by any means. But Professor Yetimyan does the possible best to help you get through a difficult course. She is extremely passionate about teaching and is very thorough with her teaching. There are several quizes, 2 mid-terms and a comprehensive final. No homework graded, but do the assigned problems, it helps. Highly recommended.

First, dont bother buying the book (never needed it). Makes things easy to understand (even though she has an accent). Extremely nice and open to questions. Im terrible at math (I usually barely pass) and I got an A in her course. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Yetimyan is by far the best instructor at SJSU. The class material is hard/easy depending on who you are and if you do the work, but as far as teaching goes, she deserves an award for going above and beyond the call of duty. Don't be intimidated by 190, Ms Yetimyan is a very good teacher. If you apply yourself you can learn the material. To put things into perspective I'm a student who got a C- in Art History but I was able to get a B+ in 190. I highly recommend taking this professor.

Getting an A/B in this class is very doable(if you work for it)!Quizzes are about every two weeks,2 tests, a final,and an excel project(answers can be found in the tutorial center)! Tests and quizzes are exactly like her lectures,handouts,and hw, Shes also very nice,but at times I felt like she treated the class as if we were still in grade school!

Professor Yetimyan is extremely helpful and nice. She constantly ask the class if we have any questions and to "say anything". This seems helpful at first but gets extremely annoying after awhile!! But you can do well in the class if you follow her lectures. Hw is not mandatory but the questions show up on the quizzes. Her handouts also help a lot!

You'll learn a lot in her class if you pay attention and do the reading, however she is super annoying. It's like she's nice but she'll snap her fingers at you until you tell her the answer, and will make you repeat yourself 5 times until everyone can hear what you said. Surprised to see her easiness rating so low. Her class is not difficult at all. She provides all the necessary materials to succeed in her class. Do the optional hw since quizzes and tests are derived from it. No surprises on tests just study. She is also extremely helpful in and out of class always asking if people have questions and very polite.

I've taken QBA 3 times at SJSU. (I really disliked the teaching style of my previous professors.) Yetimyan's definitely the best out of the 3. She's not that difficult. She explains the material REALLY well. Just make sure to pay attention in class, take notes, do the HW, study, be on top of things, and ask for help. You'll do fine in her class.

190 is not hard at all if you take her. HW are not collected but recommended to do it because quizzes are very similar to homework problems. She also keeps answer keys to the HW problems in the tutorial center. Listen carefully to the lecture and you will be fine. It is a math class after all...

This class is tough, so attendance is mandatory. If you miss one day, it's hard to catch up (trust me I know). What I really like about this professor is that she cares about all her students and she will talk to you individually if you are struggling and she will do her best to help you pass the class. I would recommend her.

Take her!! She is the sweetest woman ever. She truly cares about her students esp. the ones who try hard and want to get to know her so I recommend going to office hrs. Do the hw b/c it will help ALOT. She gives solutions so if the class lectures are too fast you can easily teach yourself. A normal F is a D on her exams. I got a B in the class!

Yetimyan is the sweetest lady ever; she makes an effort to know everybody. However, I found out I ended up teaching myself a lot of the material. Her accent can throw me off at times, but the tutor center in BBC 008 did MAGIC for me. I went from failing the first quiz to getting a 94% on my midterms! Its easier as we progress through the chapters

This is one of the tougher classes as BUS major. She's a very sweet lady and I would def. recommend going to her office hours. That being said she's just an okay teacher and you have to teach yourself everything! However, the class gets easier at the end. About 5-7 quizzes, 1 homework(turn-in), 2 midterms and 1 final. Def attend class and do hwk.

QBA is one of the hardest courses in the whole business core. Prof Yetimyan has only so much time in a class period to impart the lessons, but if you make time and see her at her office hours, she will do her best to break it down and help you understand. I would recommend her to anyone taking #190.

She is the best professor for 190, and I would recommend her to anyone. QBA is not an easy subject, but she simplifies it as possible. If you have trouble go to her office and she will help you. The doing hw, facilities quizzes. For exams, study her in class examples.

Do the homework and pay attention to the sample problems she does in class. The quizzes are based on homework and sample problems. Midterms as based on quizzes. Quizzes and midterms aren't tricky and attendance is very important! She's a great professor and is very methodical in solving the problems. Highly recommended.

Great teacher. Tries hard. Explains the subject matter pretty well. Wish she told us ahead of time about buying the book like other teachers do. That's always nice when they e-mail us ahead of time so we can buy the book on Amazon for a MUCH better price than the overpriced bookstore. :)
