A very nice teacher, gave you quite a few extra credit opportunities, tests would be hard unless you really studied the chapter, its concepts and terms. (I made flash cards)

She lectures out of the book the same thing everyday. Gives so much extra credit. Easy tests.

Loved her! Tests are easy, and she teaches very by-the-book. Sometimes a bit out there, as in extremely liberal, but makes class fairly interesting. Gives a ton of extra credit opportunities worth betwene 25-50 pts. Overall, good teacher, good class.

Easy class, she says the same things in class almost everyday. She is very nice though, easy tests and a ton of extra credit. She also is not bad looking, so that makes it a little less monotonous.

Hard to stay awake in an 8am Anthropology class- she talks A LOT. Upset that she could find nothing wrong with my ethnography except that it was poor print quality (made me get a 98 because my printer sucks).

Lectures on the same thing EVERY DAY. Makes it very boring, but the tests are so freaking easy. Plus the extra credit is hella easy... I turned in one of my Comm papers that didn't have anything to do w/ the extra credit topic and she gave me max points!

this class was not very hard. it consisted of 3 tests, no final. she was a nice teacher but very dull and boring during her lectures. i usualy took a nap that hour of my MWF schedule

She is an awesome teacher. Her class is very easy. As long as you take notes and go to class you'll ace the tests. I wish she taught all my classes.

She gives you a review on every test with everything on it, you dont have to go to class just the day before and of the test, I didnt go to class and I got an A. She is very nice and interesting if you do go to class. She even offers extra credit on each test and one extra credit project, need book, TAKE HER!!

Easy A. and the class was interesting. if you went to class she repeated everything that was on the test 100 times. i didn't even take notes and i got an A. she was so nice too and gave out extra credit if you needed it. a bit eccentric.

Class wasn't mandatory,took attendance 10 times for points, so it hurts to miss on those random days, class consists of her discussin a chapter a week, she doesnt ask questions and class is just a big speach, no involvement whatsover, no homework, just 3 tests,final is not cummulative, very easy if u study or read book, extra credit given on test

Easiest 'A' I've ever got. I sat in the back corner of class, after the attendance sheet went by I would leave. As long as I got when the test dates were and when the extra credit paper was due, I was fine. She was dull but extremely nice. The M-W-F schedule was a perfect break in my day.

Great teacher. Pretty easy class. She covers alot of the book, pretty much just need to know the definitions. Takes random attendence a few classes during the semester. I would recommend her.

One of the best classes i ever took. She went straight from the book, 3 tests no homework. As long as you go to review day and know what will beon the test you will get an A.

Joke of a class, so easy its amazing never went to class but review day and tests, got a 109% in the class. I highly recommend!!

Very enthusiastic and interesting teacher. Lectures the whole time, but does her best to keep it interesting. If you go to class, take notes, and study a bit, you'll do fine in class. Reading the book is helpful. Gives a big, very helpful review before each test. Tests are very fair. Good teacher and fun class - take her if you get the chance!

She is an extremely easy professor. She repeats exactly what is listed in the book. Class participation is uneccesary if you have the book. Overall, her class is an easy A.

Straight lecturer. No in class work needed. Attendance is not manditory but on a lot of days bonus points. Easy class. Dont buy the book. Lectures from power points gives you exactly whats on the test. I sleep through every class and I have a b.....what does this tell you?

Mrs. A is an amazing and enthuastic teacher. i loved her classes. very interesting and entertaining. very knowledgable and more than willing to help. definitely a great teacher

Class is really easy, you get bonus points for attendance during days when attendance is low. Gives you study guides for tests that make it impossible to get anything below a B in the class.

You need to take this professor. I had her for principles of sociology and she will make sure all of her students succeed. Gives extra credit for attendance!

Very good teacher, very knowledgable on Sociology. Test information comes right from the lecture and textbook. Some information isn't covered in the book, but she does a good job covering that information. Very interactive, fun and easy talking. You do not have to record lectures to make up for any missed points. Highly recommend.

Very easy class. No need to buy the text book. She gives out study guides prior to the tests that have all of the information on them. Plenty of chance for bonus. If you get anything lower than an A, you are an idiot.

Very easy class. Study for 10 minutes and you'll get an A or B on the tests. She's a very nice lady and is very into the subject, but she's also very boring and I don't believe attendance is mandatory. If you want an easy A, take her. But be prepared to be bored

Very nice and she is definitely interested in the course. The syllabus is spot on and details out the entire semester. No assignments or group discussions just straight lecture and note taking. Gives study guide before exams and extra credit questions on each exam. Also gives bonus attendance points for showing up to class

Amazing teacher. Very passionate about the topic. Even though others have complained about the PowerPoints she definitely explains them in depth. Her test are not that bad as long as you show up to class and listen to her lecture. The class is an easy A! She gives bonus for attendance at the end of the semester and some on every test.

Prof. Altemara is a wonderful professor. Gives tons of extra credit. Attendance is essentially just extra credit. 3 tests + 1 final + attendance and the final is NOT cumulative. Gives you a clear and very helpful study guide before tests. If you study the definitions of all the vocabulary and read the articles, you'll get an A on every test. Easy A

Overall a great teacher and easy class. Does a lot of powerpoint and long lectures. Very long winded and detailed which is not a bad thing. No homework or quizzes just tests but they are easy. Flip through the chapters the night before, review the definitions & you're set. Also gives out study guides with all the info on them. Enjoyed the content.

Professor Altemara was a very good professor. Mostly lectures and quizzes. Gives lots of bonus on quizzes. If you show up, pay attention, and take notes you should get an A.

One of the easiest learning experiences of my life, Professor Altemara made everything so much easier to grasp. She gives excellent study guides for the tests and gives bonus on tests as well. Show up and listen and you pass.

I would highly recommend taking her. She is a great teacher. Her lecture are very easy to understand, she goes into detail, and makes the course easier. She really knows what she is talking about. Also, she puts a couple bonus questions on every test.

Her class is very easy. There are 4 tests and a final. Everything that's on the tests comes straight from her lectures so there are no surprises. As long as you listen intently to her lectures and take decent notes you should get an A.

We had online quizzed every Friday, which always had opportunity for 1-2 extra credit points. Attendance was mandatory, and she would know if you skipped, trust me. Just go to class, take notes, do the quizzes, and the only tests (midterm and final) are pretty easy.

Good professor. Very easy class. Lectures with Powerpoint slides that follow the textbook exactly. She says to read the textbook, but you do not use in class and all the questions on the quizzes come straight from the lecture. I thought that the class was too slow. I think we could have covered more material than we did. Used an app for attendance.

Her Principles of Sociology class is very easy. There was a quiz every friday, but it was on the basic information she lectured about all week, mainly the definitions from the Chapter. The midterm and final are both multiple choice. I got a 100% on the midterm and 99% on the final. I got 106% in the class.

I had her for my Sociology class... She was super easy and make the lectures as interesting as they could be. We had online quizzes every Friday, she offered tons of extra credit. Attendance is MANDATORY, but really you need to be there anyways to take notes (she does not put the PowerPoints online). Overall a great, easy teacher!

Each class is a lecture but she is really into what she is talking about. She gives quizzes each class based on what was covered the class before so if you miss one day you are screwed for two quiz grades. Book use is really optional. Her tests are super easy and if you show up and pay attention the class should be no problem at all.

DONT BUY A TEXTBOOK! Fun lectures, easy to listen. In class assignments, a ton of extra credit, no homework. Easy midterm and final. :)

This is a really easy class. She takes attendance every day but in the end gives you a lot of bonus for showing up! There are only two tests and they are extremely easy if you attend every class. Also, you dont really need the book because she gives you enough information. Gets boring at times but its an east A.

Sweet, very approachable. Cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. Take notes from the powerpoints and you'll be fine. In class assignment every day and attendance is mandatory. Not painful, she cares what she's talking about. Although she claims you should, don't buy the book, she gives you all the info you need in class.

Very good teacher, just pay attention to the powerpoints and youll be graded on assignments given at the end of class or beginning of next class on them. Assignments very easy and the tests are vocab based in which she gives a study guide. I loved having her!

Prof. Altemara made Sociology interesting. You could see her interest in the subject herself, and she used real life examples for better understanding. . This class is ALOT of vocab. Make a quizlet, of all the vocab, and that is the final. You don't need to buy the book. You only need it for studying, and you can find it in the school library.

Dr Altemara is one of my favorite professors. She is so passionate about the topics and makes it super interesting. She explains things in great depth and is always open to questions and discussions. There are weekly quizzes to do but they are super simple, and if you pay attention in class you just have to do some light studying for big exams.

All-Around great professor. Weakly quizzes but they are not tough if you focus during lectures. She makes the lectures interesting as possible! She truly loves what she does and it shows.

Her class is fairly easy. There are weekly quizzes on each chapter, in class assignments, the midterm and the final. In class you take notes on the lectures, which are actually interesting. She makes sociology lectures non boring compared to other professors. If you have the option to take her I definitely would.

I had her for sociology my freshman year and she was a lovely professor! Very personable and understanding, but you have to attend class in order to get the full Altemara experience. This class is a required credit, and there are weekly quizzes to make sure everyone understands what's going on. She's a very fun person and a great teacher.

Her lectures were easily understood, well-spoken, and all the quiz material is covered in class. She is always willing to answer questions and the weekly 10 point quizzes usually contain one bonus point.

Professor Altemara made this class as simple as it should be. It is important that you attend class as she grades for attendance. She uploads study guides for midterm and final exams. Plus, half of the questions are from previous quizzes.

Very easy class. Every week you just have a 10 question quiz and a 5 point assignment. There arent any big tests except the midterm and final. While the material is boring she is a very thorough teacher and knows what she is talking about. Her notes are exactly what is on the quizzes so if you go to class and take the notes you will pass.

Professor Altemara is a gifted orator that makes sociology a relatively painless subject to learn. The weekly administered quizzes are a good barometer of understanding, and with two major exams the class is not incredibly difficult to study for. Overall, her curriculum is well-rounded and enjoyable, highly recommend.

Amazing professor! Take notes of the slides and what she says in class and you will do good. She teaches very clear and smooth through the material and even if you do not like Sociology she makes the class interesting.

There are weekly quizzes and assignments, but they are straightforward. There are only the mid-term and final tests. Mid-terms and finals are heavily based on the quiz questions, but she opens them back up for studying. Dr. Altemara cares, and it shows. Attendance is mandatory, but she is understanding.

An astounding professor! Made all sociology concepts very easy to understand. Her tests were entirely based on previous course assignments, which made it easy to study and prepare for mid-terms and finals. She is understanding of student needs and was an overall lovely professor.

Relaxed lectures, weekly HW/Quiz using lockdown, easy MT and Final. Study guide is provided, use textbook to fill it in, and you will see a good grade. Prof. Altemara is very sweet and knowledgable about sociology. Attendance in taken using Arkaive. If you are interested in sociology, career wise, I would speak with her about her experiences.
