Dr. Arbona was very helpfull she gives you alot of homework but she helps you be organized and prepared. as a first time student and seeking the same major she was a great inspiration for me and made me believe that it is possible to continue school and not let anything interfear with my studies even though i am a single mother of three.

I think that she is a very good teacher, sometimes her english isn't perfect but you can still understand her. If you study for her tests with the book and study guide you don't even have to pay attention but her lectures are intresting and she uses plenty of examples to make the book easier to understand

She's is the best teacher ever!!! I love her class, even though she's tough she helps you be more organized and motivates the class w/ interesting sujects due to her educated and professional experience. You should take her if you really want to learn about ANYTHING!!!

Arbona is a very helpful professor, she is fun and her class is very good if you want to learn anything. I didn't know anything about college before I took her class. If you are lazy, she will straighten you out. So, take her class, you will learn and be successful.

Dr. Arbona was a very good teacher. She did not give as much work as the other comments said and she does know what she is talking about. She does have a language barrier but after a few classes that will disapear and you will understand her. She is a very nice teacher to take and I would take her again for another class.

She knows what she's talking about. The others are mad b/c passing requires READING and they're too lazy to do it. The only assignments are online quizes, handouts are done in class, and two writing assignments. Test don't seem so bad if you study the online quizes and read most of the chapters. I hater her at first, but i'd take her again!

Dr. Arbona is from the caribbean like I am, so I understand her perfectly. She teaches very well, and it shows through her extensive knowledge and experience in psychology as a clinical pyschologist and a College professor. I got an A in SLS 1501 and a C in PSY2012 (my fault, not hers). To ensure an A, do the online quizzes and study for the tests!

she is a straight to the point professor. she is from puerto rico and has a strong accent but she is great she knows what she is talking about. you will definetely learn in her classroom

Most students dislike her call for order in the classroom and lable her a bad teacher. The true is she is just trying to her students become the best human beings that we can be. Professor Arbona is a great professor for students that want to be psycologists. She is a prefessional that works in the field, and gives great insight. With that said, if you don't want to be a psycologist take an easier professor, she makes it way harder than the BS class that its supposed to be.

Dr. Arbona is a wonderful teacher. She knows so much useful information about the psychology field. I learned a great deal from her and really enjoyed her enthusiasm. The tests are not very difficult given you study! She is fast paced so you gotta keep on your toes but you won't regret taking her.

I took her over the summer she is very fast paced and will keep you the ENTIRE class. She wants you to get an A so she gives our extra credit to your tests and drops you lowest test grade. She really knows her stuff so just take all the notes and you will pass her class with ease.

knows a lot about psychology-she is a psychologist. interesting class. sometimes said someone was wrong when she asked our opinions on a topic. did not like that. all quizzes and tests online. ask questions and give comments bc chunk of grade is participation. pretty big gordon rule paper.

Personality Development and Adjustment with her was a wonderful experience! The class is not easy, and is not the best choice for people with poor attendance. However, if you are willing to put in the effort (reading the chapters, doing the homework, participating) then I highly recommend taking her class. I have learned so much from her!

I took her intro to Psyc course and found it to be fairly easy. However, you have to do the reading or else you will fail this class. Studying is a must, her tests are comprehensive but not difficult. Just follow her guidlines on the paper and you should do fine. You will learn alot and you will find yourself better prepared for "real" college.

It's worth taking her class because she actually applies the material to your life. This is not an "easy A," but it's definitely worth taking! READ the material, PARTICIPATE in class, and STUDY, and you'll come out fine.

You have to study in this class. There is no way that you'll pass if you don't take it seriously. Having said that, Dr. Arbona is a wonderful professor. She does have strict rules and will deduct points for being late, interrupting the class with a ringing cell phone, sleeping, etc... As long as you avoid these problems and study you'll be fine.

Whom ever says anything but good about this professore is someone who does not have any selfjugement. She is fair to everyone. She help like she is suppose to. She gives extra credit homework,offer SI session and see you in her office if you need it. I don't see what else she could do for a student. I would tell anyone to take class with her.

People who are not passing are not even opening the book in my opinion, she gives tests from a database based on the book you have to read (wow) to know the answers. Overall she was good. Other than that her class has been pretty easy. All tests and quizzes online and can each be taken twice. Lowest grade is dropped. She knows her stuff!

Dr.Arbona is a phenomenal professor. She encourages class participation and never lets her lectures get boring. She requires effort and a good study ethic. It's not an easy A at all, but you'll learn a lot. I'm a nursing student and taking her has given me an interest in psychology now, too.

She's a strict professor. However, if you show up and do your work she can be a lot of fun. She made psychology very interesting and there was a lot of activities for the entire class. She's not one to really lecture all of her students, 80% of the class was class discussions. The only difficult part were the research papers but she helps a lot.

Had her for Human Growth and Development. Know this: She is strict about attendance. You get points deducted for each absence and if you are late, and any more than four absences and she can and will boot you out. Know the text book. Her classes are little more than slide shows of what are in the textbook. Study the on-line quizzes and tests.

Extremely knowledgeable - incredible professor. I've taken Dr. Arbona for General Psychology, Human Growth and Development and will take her for Personality next semester (Fall, 2011). Don't bother taking her classes if you're not willing to be in class, read her material and participate when requested. Do take her classes if you want quality.

Arbona has years as a professional clinician, therefore she expects a level of professionalism when it comes to attending her class. She WILL drop you for excessive absenses. Strict, yet show up and you realize how sassy/hilarious she is. Take her - I hear frequent complaints from students who chose otherwise.

This professor literally changed my view on life. Not only was this class helpful toward my major, but life in general. You have to show up. You have to do the work. Suck it up and do it. Professor is a seasoned professional PhD Clinical psychologist. She has a bit of a superiority air, but puts all her cards on the table from day one. She tells you exactly what is expected and what the consequences are. I highly recommend her to dedicated students. Slackers beware.

Dr. Arbona is a no nonsense teacher. She doesn't put up with slackers or those that don't want to learn. If you do not get an A you are not trying very hard. She gives you an extra 10 points on each test if you go to 3 SI session plus there is an extra 10 pts. on the test to start with. It's a lot of material and reading so put your time in.

If you do not pass her class, you seriously need to go back to high school. This class is as easy as it gets for college level. I passed with just showing up to class and using my book. People said she was hard and everyone failed because she gave too much work, but its college you study you pass your lazy you fail. Her PP were a little fast, but I highlighted my book. But no matter how confident I feel about knowing the material, (tests taken online-on your own time) the test are difficult because they require critical thinking, can be tricky & confusing. We had to sign up for online homework assignments called MindTap but they are not too hard. All tests are online but they are not so easy and require critical thinking.
