Brunett's pretty good at explaning concepts. Her tests and quizzes are easier than the problem sets she assigns. If you are math-oriented, this class should be an easy A. She occasionally goes off on tangents about her children, but her class is pretty chilled out in general.

Professor Brunett is great!

She gives take home quizzes and her tests are fairly easy. For the final she let us bring in a cheat sheet.

If you are any good at math this class is an automatic A. However it seems as if people who aren't good get very confused. She is also as dumb as they come and there is no way she actually graduated high school. Great Class.

her class is so much fun! she is always talking about her 2 daughters. if you just show up to class and do your work you should be good to go. All her materials are straight-forward. soo totally recomended!!!!

TAKE BRUNETT FOR MATH!! I'm not that great at math but I scored 100% on 2 of her exams and aced many of her quizzes. She makes calc easy to understand and she's lenient. She has easy take home quizzes and she makes math way less stressful than other mc profs...very nice woman. The class is chill so don't get too lazy. You'll do well, SHES THE BEST!

Well organized, nice women who is EXTREMELY helpful. Her web-site has practice tests for 3 exams and the final. The 4 quizzes are directly from group work. There are 4 take home assignments that you can correct to get full credit. Dr. Brunett gives all the tools for an A but you have to do the work and study.

awesome in every way. homework isn't mandatory, only counted if it helps your grade. she let us take cheatcards to tests, which helped a lot. she also gave us thorough review sheets and went over them in class. especially good if math isn't your strong point. she makes it understandable. lots of work on the calc, but it's better than long formulas.

Very clear lecutres. She goes a little off topic sometimes talking about her kids but she's very nice and understanding. The class is easy to pass as long as you do all the work and show up to class.

I've taken this class before, and it was very hard, but she made it so much easier. She's very funny, and she really likes to help the students out. She's gives really good examples in explaining the problems. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you could lose points from not doing the quizzes if you miss that day.

I was totally blanking on a test question, when I went up to turn it in, I asked her if I had screwed up my answers, she said yes, go change it! She will go the extra mile for you if you put in any effort at all. Tried this class with another prof first, it was incomprehensible, had to drop it. Prof Barnett's class was like another planet. Great.

This professor works hard to explain the material and provide students with the opportunity to learn. However, I sense that she is getting tired students' requests for favors and exceptions. This professor is reasonable Do homework, come to class, take tests as scheduled and hand in your work on time. It is unreasonable to expect favors.

She is a hard worker and devoted professor. Every time I go to her office for help she would help me at any time, even if it is not on her office hour. If you study hard, do all the work on her website and the homework, you can get a good grade

She's great. Everything she does in class is uploaded to her website. Don't bother taking the notes just follow the lecture and print the materials later. Her tests are exactly like quizzes, and review materials. She wants you to get a good grade and she has a great attitude about her class which makes it fun. Can't recommend her enough. Easy A.

Prof. Brunnet is extremely nice and very helpful. She puts in extra effort to make practice worksheets and everything is online. Her website is extremely helpful, you don't really need to attend the class because everything is online. Her practice tests and quizes are exactly like her real tests. I RECOMMEND HER TO EVERYONE!!

She is extremely clear when teaching. If you complete the worksheets in class you will have no problems with the quizzes or tests. You never use the textbook. She takes attendance every once and awhile.

Decent professor. She has a tendency to be very confusing and she gets too caught up in figuring out the problems multiple ways but she does care about her students. If you are having a hard time in the class go to her office to meet with her. Outside of class she is very helpful! She does everything she can to help her students be successful!!

Great teacher, but don't take her if you are looking to major in math, engineering, or anything of that nature. The problems she gives are extremely simple and if you happen to transfer to a 4 year university and take higher math, you will be underprepared. However, if Calc 1 is your last math requirement by all means take her.

She is great. I do hear that she undersimplifies things- if you go to the MA181 review sessions, they'll help balence that a little. If you want an A in calc take it with her- go to class every day, print out the notes, and before every test do the test reviews (they have answer keys). Very well organized.

Easy A. Test and quiz reviews are given beforehand and are exactly the same, so just study those and you'll pass. Print the worksheets to stay on track. Book was never used.

ok, shes AMAZING!! if you cant get a A or a B in this class you seriously have issues no offence. you do take a quiz every friday and gives out take home quizzes to turn in every monday but they easy though. explains everything very well as well. wish i could take her for calc2

Just pay attention to her class and do your homework, then you will do fine. there is a quiz every week but it's real easy and she gives practice quizzes. Exams are relatively easy, if you don't make stupid mistakes. She goes through everything slow until everybody understands it. Take her.

Best math professor I have taken at MC. Calculus is tough and sometimes it is difficult to grasp some of the concepts but professor Brunett breaks down the material the best she can for you to understand. Lots of worksheets to help you prepare for the tests, a review before each test and a quiz every week. Homework is thorough Webassign. Recommend.

The best math teacher I've ever had. I've never been good at calculus, but she was clear and incredibly helpful. She hands out worksheets and practice sheets for every lecture. Her quizzes prepare you for the tests and if you do the work and study the material, you will do well.

She is the best Math 130 teacher ever. Very understanding, you have mymathlab homework, take home and in class quiz but they are very easy. Test are exactly like her review. You won't find an easier professor.

Prof. Brunett was a really great professor! She's really understanding and will go over material until everyone gets it. There are quizzes and take home quizzes but they're short and sweet. Also, the test reviews are exactly what to expect on the test. Textbook not used but mathlab is!!! P.S I've never gotten in A in math before until this class.3

Professor Brunett was an absolutely fantastic Calculus teacher!! She made this challenging course simple by having weekly quizzes (which she helps you through), easy tests, and great lectures. I wish I would have found her sooner because of how much I learned (and how painless it was)!

I love this woman, she cares as much about you as you do about her. Her quizzes were easy (there was one every week), she didnt stress students and was just fun to talk to about subjects other than math. Doesnt care if you have laptops or phones out. Not your typical math teacher cuz math teachers are rarely this cute. Her final killed my soul tho.

Hands down the BEST math professor at MC. I barely passed Precalc, but passed her Calculus 1 class with ease. There are a lot of quizzes, but she gives practice quizzes right before it. Truly an amazing teacher, I can't even put it into words. TAKE HER CLASS.

Responds to emails in 24 hours. Grades very quickly. Lectures to teach her students instead of just linking youtube videos to do her job. Allows multiple tries on the online homework to get full credit. You can retake any quizzes you fail in order to get a good grade. Use her worksheets as study guides for her quizzes and you will pass.

She uses standards-based grading, which guaranteed my success. I am not a good test taker and 4 major exams/mandatory final are detrimental. Why turn down retakes/no final? The best; won't regret!

This standards based grading she does is a god send. no exams. Weekly quizzes only. The kicker? If you fail a quiz you get to redo it the next week!!!! Lifesaver.

Omg she's amazing. Yes, there are multiple tests per week. Usually 3 but sometimes up to 6. If you do poorly, you get another 2 chances to make it up. Responds fast to emails. She allowed to reassess each assessment (she doesn't like to call them tests) every week! Show up to office hours and ask questions. You only have a final exam if you failed any quizzes twice in which case the final are those same quizzes but you're getting a third try on them. This class is the easiest, best, and least stressful way to do calculus. If you fail thats on you.

She allows up to 3 retakes on each quiz. She is very kind and knowledge and knows what she is doing when she lectures. If you fail a quiz 3 times then you are allowed to do it one more time as your final exam! So up to 4 retakes!!! Some people just didn't take advantage of that blessing in my class and I am shocked about that. This is for calc 1!

Fast grader. Very kind, allows up to three retakes on the quizzes. Go to her office hours if you need help she is soooo nice and patient. No mandatory homework to do but doing it does make understanding the quizzes easier. Midterm is just like 3 quizzes made into 1 quiz. She does respond to emails.

Professor Brunett is organized and approachable, She gives study tips, memory strategies, and shows enthusiasm for helping students learn. She is quick with grading and answering emails. Students who complain about her are likely not keeping up with assignments or were not ready for college mathematics. She is much more caring than other prof.

Some kids didnt do any of the quizzes and then got mad but like...you get 3 tries and you didnt even try a quiz once

I didnt like Aleks but it was fine & had the textbook free. Biweekly test w/ 2 weekly assignments. Very reasonable if you take the time to study outside class & she is available to help. She wants you to succeed but you need to do the work because the Aleks algorithm will know. The kindest teacher I've met and i hope to work with her again!

Prof. Brunett truly cares for her students! I'm not the best at math but having her was honestly a blessing in disguise. There is a quiz each week, but she goes over the topic thoroughly during class and offers retakes. Professor Brunett was the best! She made calc 1 really simple. She has a different grading system, so you will take a quiz every week. This forces you to study each week, don't procrastinate. I have a major procrastinating problem, so this helped me immensely. If you do well on the quiz, you will not need to do that section on the final exam!

Guys, I usually do not believe reviews online, but trust me Pr. Brunett is the best Math professor that I could ever wish to have. You have to take assessments each week, which helps you not to procrastinate, and you should expect to get your paper back the same week. The best part is that you can reassess sections that you did not master. TAKE HER

Professor Brunett was by far the best math teacher I've ever taken. Her grading system is so good where its just a benefactor for the student and it's genuinely hard to fail unless you try to fail. Having a test every week was weird at first until I learned how much I can accomplish because I was forced to know the topics for the test.

It was easy to communicate with her and she would respond instantly. Although we used ALEKS, she always had office hours to help students. Professor Brunett sends announcements to keep people on track which is very helpful. If you're taking this class make sure to stay on top of your work bc theres no extensions or redos.
