She is the best, funniest and most awesome teacher ever!! Her class is so intresting, you learn a lot and you hear lots of intresting things. The best part, its easy. Read and pay attention, you can get an A.

This class was pretty easy, she's a very friendly, very helpful professor. A lot of small homework assignments, but they're easy, read the book and show an interest in the class and you'll do fine.

I've taken her for both psych 100 and college 100 and she IS funny and helpful. Some students are just lazy and don't want to do the work. She is always willing to listen to concerns and adds lots of extra credit to help our grade. I wish she taught more classes.

Makes class interesting. Tests hard but online. Tests all multiple choice. Good class discussions. Gives plenty of extra credit to make up points. Would recommend her to anyone interested in learning more about psychology.

I expected this to be my "easy class" this semester. Well, not that its hard, but it was hard getting used to such a strong requirement to pay attention to every single little detail for each assignment. Pretty strict on attendance :( but oh well. EC assign are fun and she is pretyt fair in her grading, just don't expect to half-a** this class...

I AM THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO NEVER MISSES CLASS AND I ONLY WENT TO TWO CLASSES ALL SEMESTER. I STILL GOT AN "A". The tests are not that hard, but they are on line and you can use your book. Plus, she gives you a**** load of extra credit. She literally lectures straight out of the book. There is no point to going to class.

Favorites!? I thought she was fair to everyone. Just follow the syllabus and keep up with the work and it is an easy A. Write personal papers and quizzes online. Added extra credit to make up points. Encourages class discussions. Don't be lazy and you will pass the class easy.

EASY EASY CLASS. WHAT A PIECE OF CHEESECAKE! She gives 200 EXTRA credit points (100 for assignments, and the rest for discussion pts, extra pts on quizzes), but you have to write 5 papers tho..overall, you don't need to show up to class, just the first day. She doesn't take role and lets you have "no class" often.

She is a great teacher. She explains what she wants and can be strict on you but it makes you a better student. Very nice and will flex her time to help you.

Online class. A lot of work, but easy. Please READ directions 'cause I saw a lot of idiots on the discussion board. VERY NICE, responds to emails quick. 3 major projects, but SUPER easy - did it last minute & received 100% on all. Easy A. Take her.

I took her class last semester...got an easy A..she's a lot fun, good personality, and easy to listen to. She knows what she's talking about!!!!=) I HIGHLY reccomend her! you would never regret to take her class!!

Mrs.Chovan is my favorite professor at GWC. I got two easy As from her Psycho and this class. Her class requires a lot of writings and readings. However, if u read the instructions carefully, you'll do very well. I always got easy A+ on essays because I follow the instructions and answer correctly. i took the teacher in the summer. a lot of reading. tests due at the end of the semester. 1 paper, discussion boards, 3 small summaries. tests are different from other classmates so dont count on cheating. easy overall just read and you will do fine.

I took her online class and I liked it. It was a lot of reading and not the easiest class, but I got an A with the help of her extra credit. 12 quizzes one chapter a quiz, 4 papers, and 6 topic discussions. She laid out all the work at the beginning of the course which was nice, but strict with her guidelines.

Mrs. Chovan is really nice and funny. She has a lot a knowledge and wisdom which I think aren't appreciated by some of these students. All assignments are submitted online. Quizzez/tests are timed. Don't think too much into the essays. Just be honest and hit the 500 word limit and you'll get A's. Gives obscene amount of extra credit. Take her.

I took her class online. There were 4 papers, 500-900 words each. You have to reach 12 chapters to do the quiz. I think the quizzes weren't easy. But she gave 100pts extra credit. The class basiclly easy, just do all the works and you can get an A. Just a lot of reading and writing.

great teacher...i failed though because my comp was always retarded...you need a good computer to take her class..everything is online...quizzes and papers were easy...she is funny..i learned a lot even though i failed hehehe she gives a lot of extra credit you can't beat that...but again..you need a good coputer

Random attendance. Quizzes are done online, so its pretty much open book. Quizzes are kinda hard, since i didnt really read but skimmed. Classes are okay, shes nice and funny, talks about herself and her family alot. EC were very helpful.

Take her online class. It's very easy to get an A. Her quizzes are super hard. But don't worry, if you do all of the dicussions and writting papers, you will get an A. She doesn't care your papers are great or not, as long as you do the assigments, you will get the maximum score. She also gives out a lot of extra credits. Easy A class. Take her.

easy class!!!!!!!! if you do the reading and take all the quizzes(45min to take 15 questions),discussion boards and the papers you will get an A. i took this class online and i dont regret it, she offers a lot of extra credit so it is impossible to fail. Highly recommend this class!!!

if you read the chapters before you take the quizzes you'll be fine and pass shes pretty easy her quizzes are a little hard but there online

Maria is a wonderful teacher! All her tests are online and they are extremely easy. Offers tons of extra credit so it's impossible not to get an A.

not very easy teacher, online test is tough, even if you doing it with a friend. So reading is mandatory. But overall I enjoy the class. Teacher make some dark humor comments and lots of drug reference, which I think is funny. Easy grader, quiz and 3 papers. do them, you pass, do them well, you get an A.

Took this class online, and was the easiest online class ever. There's 3 essays to write, but are very easy. Quizzes on each chapter and get 45 min for 15 ?'s. Discussions that are simple. And she offers plenty of extra credit, so there no way to not get an A.

This class is better off taken online unless you are interested in hearing her lectures and sharing your thoughts. Very easy class with clear syllabus and directions. MANDATORY to show up for class and MUST BE on time, she locked me out because I was 5mins late running from another class across campus. Interesting character... very strong-minded.

okay, so i came to class everyday and the one day that i could not make it, she gave a 100 points extra credit!!!!! I could have gotten an A in that class! SO my my advice, come to every class!! She throws extra credit at you out of no where. Shes a cool teacher and she knows exactly what students are thinking and feeling.take her : )

She is a great teacher and you will learn a lot about the subject and yourself. You must read the chapters and work hard, but she gives plenty of extra credit. Attendance is MANDATORY to stay in the class, but don't be late- she locks the door! I highly recommend taking this class from her- better in person than online.

I took her online human sexuality course and last semester i took her in person psych 100 class. She's very funny in person but the attendance is strict and unforgiving. The great thing about the online class is that she opens up all the assignments at the beginning of the semester and lets you work through it on your own time. Take her online.

The class was easy. As long as you do all the assignments and extra credit, you would do well. The quizzes are a bit harder than expect, but if you read the chapters, you would do fine. She replied quickly through email for mel however, she tries to be funny when she isn't :/

All assignments and due dates are given at the beginning of the semester. No surprises. Just stay organized. Quizzes a little hard but gives extra credit and other assignments to balance points. Friends told me to take her and I don't regret it.

Took Ms. Chovan ONLINE for human sexuality & college success. Both were extremely easy, as long as you READ HER DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY. Human Sex quizzes used questions from each chapter, so make sure to read book,no final. College success had a final but no quizzes, just textbook assignments. Highly recommend her for online class, both are EASY A's!

I took Psych 100 online. She didn't have reminders of upcoming due dates. Her syllabus was very clear as to what was expected. There were extra credit. No reason for anyone to get anything less than a C if you take it online.

If you like online classes I suggest you take this course. There are 9 discussion posts 40 points each: they are very easy, 5-8 min a post, I suggest working ahead to get em out of the way. 18 quizzes pretty easy (1 chap per week)or read ahead. 3 easy papers. You must read the book! She gave 60 E.C points, got me an A!

Took this class online. Awesome professor!!! Very straight foward with what she expects of all students. Gives extra credit!I got an A!

I love her. She is funny. She is strict, but she teaches fantastic. She does not leave any homework. Just a few papers, which are a peace of cake to write about and quizzes for every chapter she teaches, which are online on blackboard. I recommend her for sure :)

Took her college success course online and was very satisfied. The pace was quick because it was a 10 week course, but the instructions were very clear and there was plenty of time to finish the assignments. She graded promptly and fairly. Can't complain. I never needed to email her so I don't know about other comments about her unavailability.

Professor Chovan is organized and amazingly thorough. Her syllabus answers all questions and she will even send out reminders of assignments due. Read the book and take notes and you should be fine. I made a mistake emailed her to let her know and she responded the same day.

I took her Coll 100 on line course. Everything is given up front on the syllabus. Read and turn in assignments on time do extra credit and should get an A. Never had to email her because she provided everything I needed! Wish all online instructors were as organized and thorough as her.

Pretty clear, a lot of reading (the entire textbook), but very easy to pass and do well. Discussions are simple and interesting, quizzes are a little frustrating (I swear some answers aren't in the book), papers are very easy too, plus lots of extra credit. Hard NOT to get an A. (I don't even have to take the last 3 chapter quizzes to keep my A!)

She is so nice! Im taking her for intro to psych online and when I email her she usually gets back to me the same day. Her instructions are clear and though it is a good amount of work, it's organized and structured making it easier.

This class was really interesting and I actually learned a lot from it. The discussions and the personal application paper are a huge portion of your grade. Not only that, she gives up to 100 extra credit that the end of the semester if you choose to do it. Highly recommend.

I am currently in the class and so far very pleased with the pace and the professor. She has answered my emails in less than 24 hours. Very happy!.

I've taken two PSYC courses with Dr. Chovan and she has made each one of them enjoyable. The test are not hard. As long as you read the textbook, do the work, & study you can easily pass this class!

I LOVED HER! I don't know why people complain so much! She answers her emails in a few hours or the next day! The quizzes aren't hard if you actually focus on what you're reading! I learned a lot because I READ! Easy class as long as you do all your discussions and posts! The 2 essays are really short and easy! I didn't even need the extra credit!

Her class is easy. I learned a lot by reading the chapters. The discussions were also interesting. She is awesome and I would take her again.

Easy A if you do all your work! Don't wait until last minute to get your work done because then you will probably complain about her. I did all my work weeks before the deadline. Very satisfied!

I easily passed this class, even before the extra credit was graded. Reading the book was really boring and it would put me to sleep. I really enjoyed the discussions though. The articles that she posted were very interesting and I learned a lot from them. I finished the class a week early and was able to enjoy a little more of my summer.

I took Professor Chovan's online psych 100 class. Very easy! Read the chapters and then immediately take the online quiz, it helps so much. She gives extra credit opportunities, take advantage of it. No tests at all, only quizzes and 2 papers due.

If you need to take Psychology take it online with Maria Chovan. The class consists of 12 quizzes based off the 12 chapters. It is timed. Two short essays about topics she chooses. And weekly participation board. Easiest class in the world.
