little hot italian lady - dont be fooled, this is a very hard class and you must work very hard to achieve a good grade. however, if you understand it - it shouldn't be too hard. lots of work!

Difficult grader, expects a lot of her students. Discussion based class was interesting, and the ancients came alive. Short papers due every week in addition to mid and final. Make sure you have plenty of time to do the work, one missing paper will = fail

Took her last year. Extremely smart, articulate, and is excited about material. She will try to scare you, but put in the work asked for and you will do fine.

I think she is a good teacher. The only problem is that she feels logicians are better then everyone and shes the queen of the world. This clas is very helpful and I recommend you take it with her. You just need to block out some of her snotty comments.

Very fair teacher. Won't let an individual slip on a deadline, but if the whole class is feeling pressured she'll push it back. Takes attendance but only to see if the people not doing well are the one's not showing up, won't lower your grade.

She knowes her stuff very well. Loves to talk about logic and how fun it is. Grades are easy if you come to class and do homework. It is not bad that she is very attractive and nice to look at when you are learning

She's a very quirky lady...she goes a little ape when there's a lot of noise. Other than that she's great. She helps out when you need it.

Dr. Cimitile is possibly the best teacher I have had. She is extremely intelligent and well spoken. The course is challenging but if it weren't why would you be taking this class? Take her for logic and you will do better in every class you have.

Dr. Cimitile can't be beat. She is always willing to help those who are willing to learn. Some thinks she's hard, but only if your lazy and not willing to care about the subject matter half as much as she does. Respect her and it will be returned.

Dr. Cimitile is an awesome Prof. The best you will have at GV. She only expects what you should already expect out of yourself. If you put forth the effort, she is more than willing to help you out. Take her for one class, and you'll find yourself going back to her office years later for help.

One of the best profs I've ever had. A real passion for what she is teaching. Wants you to do well, but expects you to do the work, read the texts. Really enjoyed the class and it changes the way you look at things. She is also very gorgeous if that has any bearing. Loved the class. Marry me Maria!!

Depending on how your brain works, this could be the easiest class you'll ever take. She doesn't require you to come to class.... I just read over the chapters and did a couple of practice problems and came to class for the quizzes and got an A. She takes logic seriously and is VERY willing to help.

I expected this class to be boring, but it was really pretty interesting primarily due to the fact that Prof.Cimitile makes it that way. She is very passionate about her field of expertise. Study for the exams and you have no problem.

She is not only one of the best teachers at Grand Valley at the lower philopshy level, but she is excited and engaged at the higher level classes; and she's dresses with some class . . . . kind of makes it hard to pay attention sometimes.

Probably, the best professor for philosophy because she takes it seriously. Very helpful and class is interesting and fun. However, she is very adamant about attendance. I would recommend this course.

Great Prof. Homework from the text is optional and grades are based off of the quizzes, which aren't too hard. If you even need help, she'll be happy to stay after class or you can go to her office hours. She defiantly made logic fun for me!

Felt like a second mom to me. I was in her class "The Powers That Divide Us", which was my last option, but I loved it. Very liberal and had many discussions and debates in class but overall a very interesting and fun class. I would 10/10 recommend. I learned a lot. You have to attend class or she will email you asking where you are, though.

I had Dr. C for my first year honors sequence, and I absolutely loved her. She became such a motherly figure for me who I could even meet with outside of class to talk about class, intellectual topics, and just life in general. If you ever had the chance to take a course with her I would highly recommend it!

I had Professor Cimitile for DS 360 and it was an amazing experience! She is very nice and cares about her students and their success. She is always looking for feedback and student opinion on class activities. We had a quiz every week but as long as you do the readings you will be fine. Basically a discussion class but great environment.

Dr. C is amazing for the First Year Sequence. She is tough at times, but because she cares.

Dr. Cimitile has been my favorite professor in my 3 years at GVSU. She is so smart and cares about the wellbeing of her students. She assigns lots of readings and there were often weekly quizzes over those readings. The class is discussion based and she makes it all flow very well.

Dr. C is tough, but only cause she wants you to succeed. Highly recommend her for the honors college sequence, but beware that there are A LOT of difficult readings to get through. Always there if you want to discuss something or need help, especially because some of the philosophy we read is hard to understand. Major mom energy!!

Dr. Cimitile is great. She can be a tough grader but that's because she wants you to succeed, and her feedback is really helpful. She gave us the opportunity to rewrite our papers if we wanted to. She cares a lot about her students and is passionate in our discussions. She knows if you're paying attention so stay engaged and off your phone.

I had Dr. C for HNR 201. You have readings in class and discuss with your small groups/with the whole group. It's good to participate in the class, Dr. C is very kind and isn't judgmental, all ideas are respected! It's a super fun class and it felt like a community, we had fun activities to learn the material. She gives good feedback too.
