I think Dell is a bit overrated. Her quizes and assignments are really easy, but her tests are pretty difficult. She does make herself available if you need help, but it seemed difficult and intimidating to ask her questions in class, because after discussing something she would just yell "got it!?"

She's great! Super helpful! Gives fun lectures. Highly recommended. However, you've gotta keep up your work--do all the assignments(not that many at all),study for the quizes,study groups sure help,pay attention in class and take good notes! It's not an easy class,but very very interesting!!

Dr. Dell is the kind of teacher you want for this memory-intensive course. She cares tons that students succeed and invests extraordinary energy to that end. You must work hard to get an A, but Dr. Dell is clear about how to do it. She is down to earth, often funny, and a stone fox. ;)

Dr Dell is the best teacher I've had at SMC to date. She's sooo helpful and always ready to answer any questions. You do have to take lots of notes and memorize quite a bit but she makes it as easy as she can. She even gives you funny tips to help you memorize. TAKE HER, she's great!!!

She is a really great teacher. She may talk fast and her exams are challenging, but she is available to answer any questions, nad very helpful. She really wants you to learn the material, and there is a lot of it (which is one reason why she has to talk so fast-she has to get it all in). Great class, unless you are a lazy student.

Gosh, the class was difficult. Although she is nice, the class is DIFFICULT. There is no chance to slack off. Very helpful & sense of humor but class if DIFFICULT. Anatomy as a whole is hard..labs are hard, tests are hard, it's DIFFICULT.

Dr Dell is a great prof. She loves what she teaches and teaches what she loves. I love this subject but it was very hard. Have to study hard for exams labs & quizzes. I recommend to record her lectures. My grade went up when I did so. Takes time to help you understand better. Go to LRC to study as much as yo can. Final is very easy.

Dr Dell is a fab teacher! Grest sense of humor and passion for anatomy..However she's not easy, u have to study and be sure to understand...Her tests and labs is a bulk of your grade! But other assignments count too!...recommend !!!

She can be a funny teacher, and she is very clear. What I didn't like was the fact that she promised anyone with a 95% or above didn't have to take the final, then late in the quarter said we had to. I worked hard for that 95%, hoping to have more time to study for other finals. Don't make promises you can't keep!

Great Teacher!!! Key to class is recording lectures studying from them and going into the LRC to look at the models. Must keep up with class if you slack you can be easily left behind. It's a HARD course but she knows makes it interesting. Just Study, Study, Study!

Yeeeeeeeeee...I got an A without taking the final. If you study really hard and will have 95% or more in the class, you do not need to take the final. She is not easy! But she's one of those teachers that you will always remember looking back. Class consists of quizes (every other lesson), 6 mid terms, & an accumalative final. You will work hard in her class (however in Anatomy you will work hard regardles), she has a way of bringing the class to life, alot of fun, extremly helpful & nice!

Dr.Dell is by far the BEST anatomy teacher on campus!! I wish I had her for anatomy 1. All here Anat 2 students that I'm with now said she really preps you for Anat.2& any other health science class. I am just finishing up with Prof. Dell. She is really a amazing teacher because of her passion. She has lots of tests, like 5, but if you study all the material and deticate yourself you can do well. Not recomended for people who dont have much time.=)I study 2-3hrs day and have 97%. she gives lots ex. credit=). Booted my grade allllot. Take her!!!

She embodies everything good about college education. She loves what she does and she makes you love the material. Great sense of humor. Very engaging; she really pulls your interest into the lecture. Clear study guide. Lot's of extra credit. Pros: overall good teacher, explains her expectations, and lectures are engaging. Gives some ex credit but not a lot. Cons: very hard material, picks favorites, and can be moody. I liked her as a professor, she lectures well; however, picks favorites in the class and it clearly shows. Gives 5 tests, material pretty hard. Study everyday!!!

Hands down the nicest prof. I've ever had at SMC. She's old school, and lectures with transparencies. Her quizzes/exams are TOUGH because she doesn't tell you what's on them. If you can't dedicate yourself 100% to her class, don't take her. If you have a structured study schedule, you'll do fine.

Prof. Dell knows the material well. However, it's hard to keep up with the subject's pace if you have heavy schedule. But if this your only class, you have better than a 50/50 chance of acing this class in flying colors. Don't expect to get an A by requesting, study the lectures outside the class and meet new students, no matter what!

It is a given that you must attend class and read the book-- you're in college. Study extensively and allow Biology to consume your life.( a bit of an exaggeration. Study enough to know the subject and enjoy yourself in the process. Dr. Dell is uncannily talented at lecturing. She will do anything to help you remember the material and make it fun.

Professor Dell is a wonderful instructor. She makes everything clear and interesting. Unfortunately, it is such a fast paced class and the exams are extremely difficult. You NEED to study every day and make sure you stay focused and drill yourself. It is possible to do well but you have to work hard for it!!!

I walked into this class excited and devoted last semester. No matter how devoted I was to studying, the exam results came back horrible. She is a nice person but lectures REALLY fast and basically reads the slides. It's more of an independent study course more than anything. Extremely disappointed in the results, I had higher expectations.

Dr. Dell, is amazing! Anatomy is a lot of info to take in, but she makes it okay. She is like a mom, she will work with you until you understand. I didn't think I'd ever be sad when I to had to say bye to a professor, but she was that great!

Anatomy is one of those classes that is just going to be tough. There are a TON of words to learn. I felt dazed after I left class too often. Everything is clear and up front. I highly recommend recording the lectures (and re-listening to them!), as you simply cannot remember everything she says in one go. STUDY ENDOCRINE MORE THAN YOU THINK.

I love biology however as someone who didn't want to jump right into an Anatomy class, I might as well have. It was an Anatomy class without the lab and one that meets only once a week for 3 units. She is a wonderful person and is very knowledgeable however this class was harder and more unbearable that chemistry. Take it in a light semester.

Get a 95% or higher after she drops everything but your 8 highest quizzes, and lowest lab, then you don't have to take the final. I didn't :D Also, don't take the ex. credit for granted
