Continuation of last comment: The only bad thing: you definately have to show all the work on the exams or she takes away points , even if you have the right answer.Butother than than not bad at all, just show up to class every day, take notes, and she helps you at the math lab(either the west or kendall campus) if you get stuck on any problems

she is Great!!! before i took her i had failed math twice. I took mac1105 n passed with an A now im also takin her for STA2023 n passin with A's. Shes great the same questions on the review will be on test she just changes the numbers. she gives u 10 points for Hw and adds it up 2 ur test grade so if u got an 80 is a 90. Final exam is optional!

This teacher is a very HELPFUL teacher. Yes her accent is thick, but if your in class and follow her while she is teaching you will pass with an A.I missed a test and she even let me take it home. she has 2 take home tests in the end and her reviews are the same as the tests. She is truely GREAT!!! I have an A in math now and I'm horrible at it.

Well, she has an strong accent, but even though she explains everything so well, It is not that you wont understand. Im an ASS in math and I got an A easily. I was exempted from the final. There are 4 test, 2 in class and 2 to do it at home which made my life a lot easier plus the test. She also helps students out at the lab. Piece of cake.

Professor Balius teaches in an organized manner and has no problem answering questions and explaining further in the classroom. She offers additional help at the math lab, one on one. Prof. Balius is the best! She teaches based on the test and will tell you exactly how many questions from each section will be on the test. There are 6 tests in total, 10 extra points for hw and the last 2 tests are take home. A little bit of an accent, but not a big deal. Taking her again for stats! :)

This was agreat prof. I will agree that her accent is not the best but trust me its not gunna keep u from passing. The test is very similar to the review guides she emails, homework will give u up to 15 extra credit point PER TEST. The last two tests are take home...5 total. HIghly reccomned her

Last semester, I took Statistics with professor Ballius. Overall, I have to say she's a great professor. She breaks down the mateial to make it easier for the students to understand. Her lectures are very helpful, and most impotantly she always gives out reviews for test. I aced her class with an A+. I totally recommend to take her class.

porfessor balius is very fast but if you do your home work and see her in the math lab for question she will explain everything to you. Keep up with your work and you will pass with a good grade. A lot of extra credit plus you are allowed to take a cheat sheet to the test. Good human being

No mandatory homework. The teacher goes very fast and her hand writing might be tough to understand at the beginning but by the middle of the course you'll be an expert deciphering it. She give good review for the test and will help you with any questions you might have before or after class.

She is literally the best math teacher ive ever taken a class with. We had 4 multiple choices exams, and an optional final. You could take the final to replace your lowest score or makeup one of the exams. She gave us a study guide that is almost identical to the test. Really easy to pass and a great learning experience.

Professor has an extremely strong accent which I thought would be an issue but you get used to it. Homework and Quiz every week but it's simple enough that you can teach yourself in Math Lab. In class lessons are not long and you can ask for help after class. This teacher is pretty good. I highly recommend this teacher for Finite Math.

Although I had to teach myself during the course of this class, Professor Balius was VERY understanding. She extended quiz dates whenever we asked, she also gave us the whole semester to work on the homeworks. I worked at my own pace. A total of 8 quizzes divided by chapters & 4 tests divided by few chapter + easy homeworks no attendance required.
