Estrada is a good teacher. She's nice and very helpful. Her method of teaching is really good. We get opinions of other students on essays during our workshops in class. She isn't hard, but isn't super easy. Take her for English 1A.

Its alright, but the essay topics are a little hard. I wouldnt take this class. Uptight about attendance.

You must use your brain in this class. You cannot be lazy with essays, she reads everything and grades everything. If you want to be a bit challenged with writing this is the english class to take. But lots of essays, like every 2 weeks or so.

Great teacher. You need to be on time. Do not miss classes. Read, quizzes are easy based on readings. Show your rough draft to her. She will help you if needs corrections before you turned in your final draft. I highly recommend her.

I reccommend her class!!! She is very helpful and really cool. You can talk to her about anything without feeling intimated. Just read for quizzes, and do your papers. 6:30am class she teaches if even good not boring at all!

Pretty good teacher. She is not to hard but it is English 1A. Make sure you read becuase she does do quizs on the readings. Take her, she isn't to bad. She will read your essays and correct them before they are due so that is cool.

I think the class is very easy. As long as you keep up on the work you will do just fine. She lectures, explains, and sticks to the syllabus. Which makes it really easy to keep up and do work ahead of time. Over all, I'm glad I took her class.

Honestly, i thought she was a bit weird in the beginning because she had a lisp. lol. But overall, she warmed up pretty well with the class and we went over a lot of interesting readings that you wouldn't think we would go over in English. This class was a piece of cake. I mean, come on, it's english.. common sense!!

Estrada is a nice professor. She is very helpful and sometimes, the work can be a little difficult. She will give pop-up quizzes and make sure you study every reading assignment she gives you before you enter class.

This class was very easy, just do the work, which is simple. There are no "pop" quizzes, if you have a journal due, there will be a quiz on that specific reading. She is an easy grader and is also very helpful. Her assignments are very clear, and most topics are interesting. She always made class interesting so there were hardly any absences.

English 68 with Professor Estrada was very easy. As long as you come to class on time to be there for the quizzes and do the journals, you will be good. The essays are graded fairly and I got an A on every single one. Everyone in the class enjoyed her style of teaching and found her helpful.

Her class is easy, but it's because she makes it enjoyable and does her best to choose reading selections she thinks are important but that students will like. Cares a tremendous amount about her students and loves having discussions. Terrific professor and Great personality. A few big assignments- don't procrastinate!!!

Professor Estrada cares about what she is teaching as well as her students. She is friendly and extremely open minded, but do not mistake her for a pushover. As long as you do what you are supposed to, you will learn and have a great time doing it. I highly recommend this professor.

Hard teacher!!!!!!!! She grades very hard! I think no one in my english 68 class has an "A". I do like that she checks your essays only Once!!!

I've taken her from 67-1B and she is not what people are painting her out to be. When i took her class for 67 i got a C and i normally get A's in English but instead of whining I worked harder and asked for her advice. After that I got A's on all her papers for the next 3 classes. I worked my butt off for those grades and believe me its possible.

She gives you 6 essays, 10 quizzes, and 10 easy journal entries. Just write what you thought about the reading and you'll get the 10 points for each. Just do all the essays (on time), do the journal entries and you should be just fine. I did all the essays, 7 of the journals, passed 3 or 4 quizzes, and passed with a B w/o the extra credit.

I have mixed feelings about this teacher. The first 2 weeks of class are okay. In the 3rd week, the class becomes hard! There are no resubmissions for the essays, which is pretty unfair!! She does not grade the papers easy. I always hated that she made us do useless discussion questions for no credit!! I recommend someone else!

I was worried about taking her because of all the bad comments i read but her class was fine. she is a strict grader on essays, but it teaches you to write better.. attendance is crucial and so are the readings, she gives easy 10 point assignments that can bring your grade up a lot if you do them all, I liked her

Shes great! A lot of reading! 10 pop quizzes on the readings, 2 exams, the final, 1 paper and an 8-10 page research paper. Seems like a lot, but it isn't. I got a B, could have gotten an A if I tried a little harder. Very clear on what she wants and very helpful! She is only hard if you choose to be lazy and don't want to learn! Complaints are dumb

She is very clear about her expectations. There is a lot of discussion and talking during class, and she likes participation. However, as an English class, I feel like there might be better teachers if you want to learn about English.

Awesome teacher, very thorough with grading papers. She marks up all your papers noting all the mistakes you've made so you can avoid making the same mistakes in the future. There is plenty of reading but it's very easy. The class is very simple, show up, do good on your assignments and essays then you'll pass!

I took professor Estrada for both Eng 68 and 1A and it was probably one of the best choices i would have made! In the beginning i was scared because of all the bad rates on here. This professor is really nice, though she's a pretty hard grader. If you go to her office during her office hours she gives really helpful insight and can basically grade your papers early so you get a good grade. In class, there are a lot of group projects and participation questions, so don't be shy. Other than that, pretty good teacher.

Amazing teacher and she is very funny. She gives lots of Take Home Essays(4) and In class Essays(3). Be ready to read a lot but the books that she made us read. you will love. You will have 10 pop quizzes as well.

I really recommend taking Professor Estrada. I know for many English can be an intimidating subject as it was for me, but the class environment was very accepting and easy to work in. Professor Estrada was also very clear about all of the assignments and her essay topics were very engaging!

This class is what you make of it. If you try your hardest and give your effort, Estrada will care for your grade! This is the best english professor I have very had! Estrada is the best! Read the book, and you'll be alright! She gives ten short pop quizzes of the stories you read at the beginning of class throughout the semester. The essay prompts are also straightforward; go to her office hours for help, she will give you feedback on your essay! Two in-class essays (one is the final) and two home essays.

Being my first class in person, I was a bit hesitant to go in person but she is a great professor, kind, caring and is very understandable. As long as you do the work you will do good in the class. There are a lot of quizzes but they are pretty easy and of course being an English class there are essays and one research paper but it isnt hard.

I took her in the Fall of 21' for ENGL 1A. Her class was fairly easy but the reading was a bit time consuming but very easy to understand. She was very understanding about some personal matters and was very flexible with me. She is amazing and I would take her class again if I could.

Take a different class if you want an easy A. It is definitely not impossible to achieve it if you're willing to put in the effort. There is a lot of reading, but that is to be expected from an English class. Overall, the class was enjoyable.

I took Professor Estrada during my first 16-week semester, and I can say that I really loved her class. Not only is her grading accurate and the instructions are very clear. I was able to email her out of class just to make sure I was following the assignments correctly and she responded in a timely manner. And the work overall was easy.

P. Estrada is the best experience for English. Her style is constant and reliable. The work is completely doable. There is a research paper and guides you well through it. Very chill professor. There is work involved but still should be an easy "A".

Professor Estrada is a lovely professor! Very sweet and gives great feedback. As long as you do the work and make an attempt you should be able to pass her class with flying colors. Her TC, Denise, is also extremely helpful and accessible. Yes you will have to read a bit but it's worth it and the material she covers is interesting!

I wouldn't recommend this class if you're trying to improve your writing. Her feedback is dry and has similar, if not, the same feedback for multiple students. She is an easy grader and doesn't have high expectations, so it's good if you are an average writer trying to complete the English 1A requirement. She also only likes question hooks...

I cannot recommend Professor Estrada enough! She is so caring and genuinely wants her students to succeed. She also chose great novels for us to read, which made me more engaged in the class. Professor Estrada gave great feedback and was always available to help. The workload can be a lot, but if you manage your time, there shouldn't be a problem.

She's a good professor, any questions will be answered and great feedback on work. Only issue was that she tries to push certain agendas with her work. If you don't care and just want to get the work done, then you'll have a good time. If you don't care to get pushed with certain ideologies avoid this class. Also get ready to read A LOT.
