Really fun teacher, you dont have to go to class just make sure you read the chapters and do the reviews that she puts online, I never went and got a high B

Good teacher! Makes geography very interesting. She uses slides as her teaching tool. However in the backround of her slide she would put pictures of when she visited that certain area. Which was fun to look at. Her exams come straight from her notes!! Good teacher!

Excellent teacher and knows her****. Unlike many of my other professors, she loves to learn new things about different areas of the world. She is a very open minded person with lots of knowledge to give to her students. Tests are easy if you study the notes and study guides.

This class is so damn easy! The notes arent hard to learn and she puts them online. Class ends about 30 min early also.Tests are basic crap you learn in high school.

She is a very easy teacher, and she is a very helpful teacher. she keeps the class entertained through out the whole class, she is very energized before class, she must give starbucks lots of buisness. she always lets everyone out early. Never leave class while she is teaching, she will follow you and make fun of you in front of the whol class.

Dr. Fadiman is awesome. You don't have to go to the lectures, but she has such odd ways of comparing or explianing things that they just stick with you when you take her tests. Her tests are only 50 mc questions and they are right from the notes. She keeps the class very entertaing and always lets you go early.

She's very helpful but is crazy and hyper in class. Her method of using study terms and outline notes is weird so you have to really know the material when you read the test questions. Class always averages a C but labs are easy. It's still possible to get a good grade, though. Lectures= boring but gives the class a break & lets you out early.

Can be a little hyper and crazy at times, but offers help to anyone who needs it. Because of her hyperactivity she may talk fast, and she also gives notes REALLY fast. However, she puts all her PowerPoint projections on Blackboard, so you can EASILY stay on track! Very recommended.

Was a GREAT teacher. I found her very interesing to listen to. A bit hyper at times, but that's what made the class fun. All you have to do is pay attention in class and youll ace the tests. Her tests are besed off of the lectures mostly, so make sure you attend. But all in an easy class.

By far one of the best profs at FAU. She makes the subject very enthusiastic. She will show pictures of her being in the countries that we discuss and will play music from the region at the beginning of class. This is a college class you look forward to going. Tests are pretty easy if you do the study terms.

Funny and exciting lectures. Very clear and tells you what will be on the test and gives study terms. Test are straight forward. This has been one of my easiest classes so far. If you do the work and study some, it would be hard not to get at least a B.

As far as teaching goes, she is nice, her class is interesting and you get out pretty early. As far as grades and tests are concerned, labs are easy, to get an A on the test, go to class, copy the power points, and before the test print out the exam reviews and you will get an A on the test. i figured it out and go a 92 and 94 on the last two tests

LOVED this class. Her lectures were so interesting. She's super crazy and animated so she makes the class really interesting. Just go to class and go over the terms, you don't really need to read the book but it comes in handy for looking up terms not in the lectures.

Easy class. The lab is where the work is done and that is easy too. I went to class to watch the videos at the end (some test questions are on them) and she sometimes says during her PPT that something will be on the test but attendance isn't necessary. Got an A, not difficult.

I came into this class thinking we'd learn about mountains and rivers and actually learned about countries all over, most of which shes been too. This class was the easiest thing in the world!!! She's weird and crazy and is always TRYING to be funny. She's annoying and loud, and is kind of an undercover b****. She's also a cell phone nazi and WILL call you out. It's a waste of time.

She is excellent, with ACTUAL experience in the subject! Just study the powerpoints and you will be fine. I got an A on all the tests just by using them. The lab consists only of drawing maps, so that is easy too. She does not bump up grades however, so make sure you do go to all the labs and do the maps because it can hurt you in the end.

She's really nice and enthusiastic. There are four tests and the fourth test is the final exam but it's just as easy as the other tests. The test questions come from a list of study terms and the PowerPoint slides are online. The homework assignments are all online and they're a little time consuming but not that hard.

Loved this class! Professor is genuinely interested in topics. She has been to most places discussed in class so info was not just straight out of book but real experiences (interesting) 4 exams & online portion. Final is not cumulative & easy. Online work takes a bit of time but easy. I was lazy so I got a B but its really an easy A type of class.

ATTEND LECTURE. In order to understand her notes that are often abbreviated you have to go to class. Not to mention she shows videos in class that she asks in the test. She's just ok. I hate that It takes her a week to put test grades up. Who wants to wait that long to see their grade? Other than that her class is very passable. Just read the PowerPoints over and over and u will pass. She does play a clip every class and puts a question from it on the test. But I never came to class and still got B's on my tests.

Best professor ever. Learned so much through the material, but mostly through her experience. She has done it all, both in Academia and in the real world, and is SO willing to share her experience. Seems like she loves research and discussion more than traditional teaching, but I'm okay with that.

Dr. Fadiman is great. I took her in a huge class, often means boring but it was the opposite. She has a very outgoing, goofy personality. Her lectures are most if not all her own trips to multiple countries and how her experience correlates to what's happening there. Have to attend because material is 100% from lecture, although power points given.

She includes videos of her lectures which are really good and interesting. The class is very easy and little work. 1-2 assignments a weeek usually a location quiz, chapter quiz, or movie quiz.

I took this class online, watch the lecture videos and look through powerpoints. Book is recommended but not a necessity. I barely used it. 2-3 assignments a week. If not done on time it's a zero. Lectures are interesting but long. Do all of the work no final.

I used to get so excited to watch her lectures. Even though it was an online class her lectures made it feel like you were right there sitting in class. She is extremely knowledgable about the things she teaches. The quizzes are fair and covers material from the lectures and the readings. I also enjoyed the movies we watched in class.

YES! She works for national geographic and does TED talks! All her lectures are about her experiences so your weekly quizzes are based on what she talks about in class! No textbook. Last week of semester she offers 5 extra points if you bring in food and 8 extra points for watching a movie! Easy class and enjoyable to listen! Love her! NO PHONES!!!

I took her course online. Really simple, just complete the tasks in the weekly modules and your good. Interesting lectures, although I rarely watched them because most of the test questions could be found in the textbook or on quizlet. Really enjoyed the movies we had to watch.

Her class is simple, go to lecture, take notes, and write down anything that she says as well as some of the questions on the quiz come from what she says, she also puts questions on quizzes from short videos at the end of every lecture, there are also movie quizzes as well so u are required to watch the movie, all in all this class is easy

Although I had Dr. Fadiman online, I found her lecture videos so interesting! She is so passionate about what she does and uses her travel experiences in her lectures! There are weekly quizzes but as long as you watch her lectures and put in the effort, this class should be an easy A. There is no final and there is extra credit at the end.

Dr. Fadiman's lectures were really engaging and interesting. The chapters can be really long so don't put off reading until the last minute. She sends out a ton of reminders so it is difficult to fall behind unless you really just don't care.

Reason why, there are nearly a hundred terms to learn each week, and I didn't receive adequate help till my third to last knowledge check!

This was one of the best online classes I've ever taken. Definitely highly recommend it. She's a nice professor as well. And you kind of have the flexibility to move at your own pace. She responds to emails rather quickly and gives great feedback.

If you watch her lectures & assigned videos and take notes, you will pass. The asynchronous format of this class made it fairly impersonal so I can't say much about Dr. Fadiman herself, but the class is easy as long as you do what you're supposed to.

There were random things that would pop up in the quizzes and tests that werent on the textbook and she didnt go over in class. Aside from that it was easy and workload wasnt heavy. She is picky about students using their phone in class.

Easy class. Tanked my grade due to personal issues halfway through the semester. You can read through the assigned chapters in the book . . . or you can watch all the lectures at double speed and Google all the terms in the book and ace all the quizzes that way. Go crazy.

I took Dr. Fadiman my first semester of my freshman year and she cares so incredibly much about her students and what she teaches. She posts her slideshows and study terms, which are basically the test questions. You get 10% extra credit just for showing up and she lets you use paper notes on the quizzes. She's hilarious and I would take her again!

She is such a nice person and truly wants you to pass. She just teaches more about her personal travels than actual geography lol. You must have your webcam on for all the tests, and some questions can be very specific. Even though attendance is extra credit, I would go, to have good notes for the tests.

Easily my favorite professor this semester. Super passionate about the subject and attending the lectures is extra credit. There is no final and the open-note quizzes are exactly what was discussed in the lecture. There are assignments with the book due each week, but they are super easy, just a little time consuming

You get 10% of extra credit by just going to class. You basically get all the quiz answers by going to class too. She made the lectures super interesting and you can tell she loves what she does. She always lets us leave class early, and she doesn't care about you being late.

Dr Fadiman is an absolute sweetheart. There is no midterm or final and all of your grade is decided by the weekly homework (30%) and open note quizzes (70%). IF YOU DO NOT WATCH HER LECTURES YOU WILL NOT PASS THE QUIZZES. so, make sure to watch them and take good notes, she does say this as well. she's funny and the class is quite easy.
