Gigi is a great teacher. She is fun and pretty easy if you try your hardest. She is there to help and a great and interesting class. If you do all of the assignments and do the extra credit-easy A. Take her for Anthvo2.

Gigi was such a great teacher. I did not have a clue what Anthro was, until I had her. I want to take Physical Anthro,now that I know Gigi is the teacher. It was a little diffcult since she did break her leg but she made class fun and interesting. She has a good sense of humor. Great stories!!!Fun project!!

Go to the class and listen to the lectures and the test will be a piece of cake. She's very friendly, helpful, and funny. She is an easy grader on projects.

Gigi rocks! She is a great teacher and really just acts like another student. Her Anthropology of Magic, Culture and Religion class is insane and gives great insight to different religions. Her tests are not that bad either, as long as you do your part. Doesn't grade on attendance but it's always nice to be there in class. Overall, GREAT TEACHER =)

Gigi is fantastic! I had her last summer and she made taking a summer class fun :) . I'm an Anth major and know a lot of the material but still was able to enjoy how Gigi presented it. She is a very intelligent person - don't let her personality give you the impression she's a lightweight. She expects her students to make the effort.

Prof. Fiumerodo (call her GiGi) is an EXTREMELLY good teacher. She identifies well with her students and adapts to her classroom. She is very passionate about her subject matter and is likely to draw the same passion out of you. Don't let her young looks fool you, she is very well educated in her field. Also, she has talent for making things fun.

GIGI IS AWESOME. by far one of the coolest teachers @ VC. Anthro class was easy to understand, she gives cool extra credit. and makes anthro a little more interesting than it really is.

She is the best Anthro teacher by far. You will get more out of this class than you expect to. Be sure do keep up on reading. Your bibliography must be done properly so get help if you haven't been taught. I highly reccomend her.

Awsome teacher! Very passionate about Cultures! Easy grader! There were three super easy tests and three very EASY projects (two included a presentation). Offered extra credit. Great teacher! Fun to listen to, fun to be around! She's super friendly but it doesn't sway her class of course like some teachers. Quizzes are easy and there was literally NO homework (1 project all semester). She's also extremely cute and has good jokes! Would recommend and i'm taking another of her classes next semester!

Gigi is a very sweet woman. She is someone who will always make you smile...but her class can seem a bit immature. She talks about her own life a lot and cracks jokes that just seem unprofessional. I recomend taking her, but be prepared for a cheerleader like personality.

Amazing teacher!!! Favorite class at VC so far, switched my major to Anthropology because of this course. Gigi is very passionate about the subject and makes whatever we discuss in class extremely captivating. Some work required, but easy A if you try. Definitely recommend this class to anyone.

Gigi is a bubbly fun person. Overall this class was easy. It had its fun and boring days. Gives out study guides for tests and thats the only reason you need the book. I used the previous edition and it worked just fine and only cost me $5! Attendance not mandatory lecture outlines posted online.Easy tests and had one easy project. Take her!

I love Gigi! Her teaching style makes Anthropology so accessible and interesting. She always tells you exactly what she expects from your work, as well as what to study for tests. And she usually works in a fun, optional field trip with the Anthro Club that you can go to for extra credit. I definitely want to take more of her classes

I LOVE GIGI, She is an awesome professor. I took her for Anth7, Fall 2010. I wanted to take this class for a long time. I fell in love with Anthropology now its my second major. She is very passionate about the subject and her students, what makes her a great teacher. Attend class,ask questions,gives study guide for tests and you should get an A!

Gigi is fantastic, had to give her all 5's! She is enthusiastic, fun and really cares that the students are interested. I already have an advanced degree with years of University, yet Gigi is one of the very best. You feel like applauding at the end of class each day. Really nice and funny teacher; She loves Anthropology and encourages her students to love it as well. Unfortunately, although I enjoyed her and her class, I learned a lot more from her guest speakers (of which there are many) than I did from her. I found her own lectures to be meandering, repetitive, and vague. The final project was a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed this class. She made the online discussions interesting. Read the chapters and articles, participate in all discussions, take advantage of extra credit. The exams cover the material that you've read, no trick questions. Easy class if you do the work.

Dr. Fiumerodo is an excellent Anthropology professor! Assigns a good amount of out-of-class reading and provides a lot of opportunity to use ethnographic methods in research projects/interviews.

I took her online cultural anthropology class, her online class felt like a real in class setting.. she communicates with her students quickly, there's weekly discussion that you have to participate in order to get the points, quizzes are easy!! her lectures are straight forward! personally this was a very easy class!! I took Gigi for Anthropology of Women and Magic , Witchcraft and religion, both classes were equally enjoyable. Both classes were about 3 hours in length but she has a break in the middle and you can grab food or hang out. She is very interested in the subject and will answer any questions you have. She drops one of the three quizzes she gives!

Loved her! She is very passionate about the class which makes it easy to pay attention and stay interested. There are about 4 tests, one project, and one 5 page paper. The final is not accumulative! In her study guides, she tells you exactly where to find the answers in the book. I would definitely take again!

This is an enjoyable online class, and very easy. Make sure you have the textbook and there's no excuse for not getting an A. If you forget deadlines easily, do not take this class. At the very least, you need to be able to keep up with the online schedule. Gigi is awesome, and has made this class as fun as it can be online!

I was very pleased with how well organized the course was (online). Each week was very consistent, and she provided lots of online reading material. I especially liked the video lectures. The extra effort to make the video lectures really made all the difference for me.

Nice teacher to have for my very first online course. Cult. Anthro. was made interesting to learn. She's is clear on expectations and drops the lowest grade. Do all the easy extra credit to boost your grade. Fair amount of reading but as expected for online course. Online tests were not timed like she said they would be. Would take her again.

Professor Fiumerodo is a great anthropology instructor to take ANTH V02 online. I would highly recommend her. Other professors are so disorganized when it comes to online classes, but she's amazing and very organized. She lets you know what's due, when, and where you can find the information you're looking for. You have to put the effort though.

Gigi, is hilarious! Her class is simple to understand. She gives study guides for quizzes that help a lot and tell you exactly everything that will be on the quiz. You have to do one presentation for a project and an essay. There are four quizzes. Come to class, listen to her funny experiences and time will fly. If you study a little.. Easy A.

Cultural Anthro with Gigi was an easy class to pass, whereas Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion required a lot of time out of class, for a few field trips, take-home tests, and readings. If you are interested in Religion, Culture, Ethnobotany, or anything along those lines, I would recommend VO7, but you have to be pretty interested and committed.

Maria is AMAZING! The only word to describe her! Her discussions were fun and great to do! Would definitely take her again! (She offers tons of extra credit!)

She's really a passionate teacher and her workload isn't crazy. She's very understanding and it's more important to her that you learn the subject than to assign a crazy amount of homework.

Great class! And easy enough to pass, just do the work when it is due and its an easy A! I forgot to do some tests and still received a decent grade. She lets you make up discussion boards at the end of the semester and offers extra credit! Her class consists of a weekly discussion board followed by a test the next week. Simple!

I adore Prof. Gigi, take her!!! Despite how much I learned it was an easy class but you still need to put in the effort. I took Anthro V07 in Fall 2016 & consisted of take home exams, a religious sites project, and a final project/ritual. I loved this class so much that I hope to take Anthro V02 in the Spring & minor in cultural anthropology.

Professor Gigi is great! Cultural anthro online was such a fun class. She puts together really interesting material and makes the expectations very clear. She is also responsive and will help you if you need it. Do all the work outlined in each week's module (it's totally manageable) and you'll pass! I loved this class and learned so much!

One of the easiest classes ever. Took her online cultural anthropology class. Didn't need to read the book once. All the answers on the quizzes are either online or textbook definitions. The midterm and final are just the same answers from the quizzes you already took! If you need an easy elective take this class.

Professor Fiumerodo is such an asset to the college. The videos and activities she provides are fascinating, and she creates a caring and safe environment for her students. She doesn't overwhelm you, so you actually enjoy what you're learning, in a less stressful atmosphere. This results in actual retention. I would highly recommend her.

I took professor Gigis 4 week summer course at Ventura College. Her lectures are very engaging, shes very animated when giving them, and she say some funny things thatll give the class a good laugh. Take good notes, study thoroughly, do all of the work and you should at LEAST get a B. Id would definitely love to take her class again.

In the witchcraft and religion class, Gigi (as she says to call her) was really great. The assignments were clear and with plenty of notice. She doesn't do much tests, but she does do papers. So just make sure you get the material.

Take this professor if you can. Truly wonderful. I took her online class and it went by so fast! I got perfect scores on almost everything. Two quizzes that are simple and didn't even get perfect scores but ended with above 100% overall class. She gives feedback on almost every discussion. You learn interesting things and get an A for it.

This professor is wonderful. She is so knowledgeable and has all of the life experiences to share with her students. Her class was easy in a good way. She made everything so understandable and accessible and the material was really interesting. I recommend this professor 100%.

Super fun and super nice! She provides free reading materials (NTC), and you just have weekly discussions (you get used to them), and the content is super interesting! Three major assignments- Midterm, Library Assignment, Final. I did them all the day they were due, but I don't recc. Super easy grader- participate in discussions and do as she asks.

Easy A, just do the work and you'll pass. Midterm and final aren't too difficult.

Prof. M is super nice and loves what she teaches. I did not like this class but that's just personal preference. Kinda boring if you don't like anthropology but you will learn a lot. I recommend this class to Anthro. majors. Zooms are optional but extra credit. Offers lots of extra credit. Midterm and final take a while to write but she grades easy

For online, discussion posts are a big part of your grade, so read EVERYTHING or else you're screwed! 4wk summer class & very manageable pace, though lots to read. Professor Gigi is very kind and a fun spirited teacher. There was not a single lecture I didn't completely enjoy and understand. I'm also very grateful to Gigi for being the Anthropology Club supervisor. If you're looking for a fun interesting class take Cultural Anthropology with Maria Fiumerodo!

I honestly love her. Her class is so amazing, she does not require a lot of HW. Most of the work and test are done in class. Best part is that the quiz you can take them in groups .

I took the 4-week summer course, so it was condensed. Dr. Maria Teresa Fiumerodo provided a safe space to share experiences and explore Cultural Anthropology. She provides excellent lectures that are clear bullet points for the exams. She highlights all the work where the exam focus will be. Do the work, and you'll get an A easily.

Dr. Fiumerodo is a great professor. who wants her students to succeed. She is fun and caring. In her class, you will learn a few basic Italian, and I love it! We made Lukasa as our project and it was so much fun. I highly recommend taking her Anthropology class and you will come out a better person.

Professor Maria Fiumerodo (Gigi) is awesome! She is free-spirited and very caring. I love learning about new cultures and so that made it easy for me to be engaged throughout the whole semester. A few projects (easy). I feel that, regardless if you share this passion or not, Gigi's class is far more enjoyable than the regular anthropology classes.
