she uses the web portal, a big plus for some. she's also trying to navigate away from just textbooks. she doesn't do labs (we're not required to stay the extra hour) I found her teaching to be effective yet rapid. (pay attention!) Full of pep, however helpful. Gives alot of work, but very quick to get done.

Honestly one of the BEST teachers I've had since I've been in MDC! She does give a lot of work online but they're pretty self explanatory & easy. You do need to get the book because her quizzes are based on assigned pages. She also gives a lot of extra credit to boost up your grade! She's a sweetheart & willing to help anyone. This professor cares and is super involved with her students. This class is based on points not percentage grade. Not a hard class, but your need to be dedicated because there is a lot of work. The work is not hard you will have a week to complete all your work that is do for that week, and that same process repeats every week not hard.

This is your basic english class so expect papers! Although the papers aren't too tough do expect a lot of work. She's straightforward in how she wants her papers and assignments done. She's very helpful and replies fast to emails.

This class was good, the professor cares for the students and answers emails in a timely matter. Be prepared to read because on the quizzes you will have sentences that if you don't read the book you wont be able to answer. There is a midterm and a final. Great professor overall loved the class will definitely take her again

This teacher is amazing, I'm taking ENC 1101 and she is so flexible in terms of papers, as long as you do your work and show your interest in the class she helps you. My computer froze in the middle of a quiz and she re set it for me so I could take it again. Also I have a Mac and she could not read my papers, she emailed me to re submit on PDF

She teaches very well and she understands that her students have busy lives, so she is extremely flexible with her deadlines. She also has a great sense of humor that makes class very fun. I would def. take her again!

I took ENC1101 with Professor Garcia and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. She is sweet and helpful. She goes out of her way to explains the lectures to the students who don't understand. If you pick her, then you'll pass the class.

Best teacher that Ive taken by far this semester. Shes super loyal, respectful, and I just love her personality a lot. She tends to relate with students, socialize, and her grades are BEYOND easy! No need to worry about a midterm or final, just simple assignments which are documents. You can do it at home, showing up isnt mandatory in her class.

Professor Garcia is amazing. Just keep up with your work do not procrastinate and you will be fine.

This teacher is amazing. I took her for ENC 1101 and I plan on taking her again for ENC 1102. Her classes are lecture heavy but they're not at all boring and she's super funny. She's super respectful and she cares so much about her students. There are a lot of notes and classwork but definitely still an easy and fun class. 10/10 would recommend.

I had Mrs Garcia for Enc1101 and Enc1102. All I have to say is that she is one of the best professors that I have had sense I started college.

Professor Garcia is the best English professor. She is very understandable and extremely helpful. Her class is easy and she really wants her students to succeed. You will have a lot of work, but if you keep up with the work you will appreciate her class.

I recommend Professor Maria Garcia 100% to all students taking ENC1101 and 1102. I tuck those two courses with here and I ended up with an A. She is super nice and she always has a smile on her face. This is by far one of the BEST professors I have taken in my whole college experience. She is so sweet, caring and goes above and beyond for ALL students. She apologizes when she feels that we are being bombarded with work. No mandatory mid/final. I took her for ENC 1101 & 1102. If I can take her 5 more times I would, in a heartbeat. Love her.

I took Prof. Garcia in spring 2019 and when I realized I didn't rate her I just had to. I love her so much. When I was taking her, she didn't mind late homework. When I forgot to turn in an assignment, she emailed me (day b4 last day of class) to let me know that I needed to submit my assignment. Overall, she cares about her students.

I loved taking Professor Garcia for Enc1101 she is super kind, caring, and respectful of others. Her class is very homework and paper-heavy, however, if you have any issues she will always try her best to help. She is also very flexible and understanding if there is an issue with her students. The best part was is that she is super funny.

Professor Garcia is an amazing professor. She cares a lot about students and does anything she can to help. If you have a problem she replies fast and tries to fix it. There is quite a lot of homework but there also is a free extra week after the due date you have to finish it which makes it easier for you to manage your time.

I took took her completely online. Assignments were due every Sunday; majority of them just needed to be completed. She graded based on completion so it was easy to get an A. Assignments as just writing so I highly recommend taking her. I easily maintained a 95% throughout the entire class. She also allowed me to make up any assignments late.

Definitely one of a kind professor. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. She puts in a lot of effort with her modules that we do the work out of. She does give a good amount of work but it's all easy and nothing crazy. She is also very flexible. I definitely recommend Professor Garcia if you want to breeze through ENC.

Professor Garcia was very sweet & an easy grader. There's a proctored midterm but the final is NOT proctored. Follow the instructions (easy) and turn everything in on time & you're golden. She didn't always post things on time but responded quick & the assignments were pretty easy so it was fine. There's one big research paper at the end. Take her!

Super nice professor! There is a lot of assignments weekly, but they are fairly easy and she provides so much help. Easy to communicate with outside of class and is always willing to help better any low grades. She is also very sweet and funny, and her lectures lets you get to know your classmates better.
