Ms. Gomez is a beautiful person she wants everyone to pass the class, she also wants everyone to respect her. Her only downfall is that she is too slow. I easily tuned out b/c the class was super boring (read80). I only recommend her if English is your 2nd language. She also has a no cell phone rule & I suggest u follow it.

I took the fast paced Winter 2013 course, and it was fast, but class time went by so fast. Best of all, we got to revise out homework once if we turned it in on time for a better grade.Definitely look into this class, it will help.

I did not like the way that this course was graded. If you made a mistake on one part of an assessment it affected your grade majorly. I got A's on all of my work and for the final portfolio I almost ended up with a B in the course, but luckily she said she understood what I was trying to say in my reflection. Overall great instructor!

a very good professor, I took her class in winter and everything went through pretty fast. basically, we have homework everyday, but it was easy to do because she explained everything in class. it gets little tough when we have the project because it's time consuming. we don't use textbook, lucky you.

Bottom line is, her class is easy if you take it seriously. You should acquire the habit of being organized as well, because it will help you in the long run. prof Gomez is a great prof. clear and helpful. She is very nice. if you don't get full points you are able to revise and re-submit your work. it is a class where if your absent you will miss out in a lot since there is no textbook. It is a time consuming class out of the classroom.

If reading is 1 of your toughest subject, don't take this course in 6 weeks. it will be intense. Being a part of this class is such a great way especially when you were really into it. First, I thought it would be hard for me to take this class at night but for me it is not. Our professors gives us differents strategies every week on how we may improve our reading comprehension skills. We used to read our novel every week.

I took professor Lecaro this summers for read 90. It was a great learning experience she gives constructive feedback and clear assignment instructions. A truly challenging yet wonderful experience.

She really cares about her students, and she is always trying to help all students, I really recommend this teacher.

This class will teach you the method of being a good critical thinking. The proffesor available almost all the time to help you especially during this pandemic time. a lot of students having a hard time of accessing the online features, etc. the prof also comment on all of the work you submitte so that you can do better next time. very reccomended!

Even being that we had to take the course online. Professor Gomez-Lecaro made it so organized and clear what was due each day. Even though at times it felt like a lot of work she is very reasonable as long as you talk to her. However, she doesnt give you any work without explaining it with very clear instructions. I enjoyed this class very much.

Professor Gomez is very lenient with assignments, if you usually turn in all the work on time then she'll allow you to turn in late work without any point reduction. Most of the work she assigns aren't difficult just time consuming. Quizzes should provide a challenge if you don't read the materials provided. She'll give you a lot of feedback too.

I am a single mom, 36 years old, and have gone to community college when life permitted; a.k.a not as much as I wanted and definitely not online. I loved this course and what made it so special was the professor. She CARES!! She is educated not only in the subject (and beyond) but how to deliver the material. She gave me back my confidence.

The work is not too much. It is quality. If you stay on the modules you will easily pass. She gives great feedback and is highly engaged.

I added this course late and thought I would flunk it,because of so many life events happening at once (moving out, being unemployed, etc). But Professor Gomez-Lecaro was very kind and understanding of my situation. I worked my butt off to stay on top of my homework and learned so much from this class. Truly a wonderful experience! This was a summer 6 weeks class very fast paced be aware of the fact that you will have a lot of assignments because its a 6 weeks class. I would recommend and I would take this professor again if needed. She grades fairly and works with you if you need it. I enjoyed her read 100 course. Please do the work or you will fall way behind.

Professor Elena Gomez-Lecaro, was a great professor. Answers emails quickly , gives extra credit, and gives you the option to resubmit homework after graded. Many assignments but not too difficult. I would highly recommend her.

I took Read 100 online during the summer with Professor Gomez. Her course is very well structured, organized, and easy to follow along. She also gives many opportunities to correct and re-submit assignments so that you can earn a better grade in her class, which I am truly thankful for! You wont be disappointed, take her class! :)

TLDR: a lot of easy assignments. Easy A. Professfor Gomez-Locaros read 100 class was pretty easy. Took an accelerated course so there was a lot of work to do but they were all easy. There wasnt really any tests were you needed to know what was in the text. Professors not a harsh grader so its an easy A. She also offers extra credit.

Professor Gomez is an incredible educator, she gives you clear guidelines, so there's no confusion. A lot of assignments, but not too difficult. This class has many wonderful strategies, which you are able to apply in other classes. Discussion boards are immensely helpful, and very engaging.

Professor Gomez is one of the best! I took the READ 100 8-week course online. Expect a lot of assignments, which I was prepared for. The assignments do require your best effort but they are very resourceful. Many of the strategies I learned I can apply in my other courses. She also gives clear instructions and feedback. Passing with an A!

Professor Gomez Lecaro is an easy professor, and though the class seems easy, you have to read the textbook she provides, watch the videos and PowerPoints, and follow all the instructions and examples provided by her to complete all your homework. It is also important to do assignments on time and do your homework, if you want to pass your class.

I took the 8 week Read 100 class and I found that is not an easy class, but professor Gomez uses strategies and provides you with essential tools that will allow you to learn an be able to complete your assignments, you just have to make sure that you do your readings, watch the videos and examples and do your work on time.

I highly recommend this professor!!!! She is helpful, understanding, clear criteria for tasks and they are always easy and fun. A class worth more than that! It is enough to hand in the assignments and the grade A is simple.

She is a very inspirational professor who cares for students. There was a lot of reading involved although the readings aren't difficult. Be prepared for A LOT of homework to be turned in. Pay close attention to the details of the directions. I learned a lot about my critical thinking skills for this course and I would take her again every time.

In this asynchronous course, it requires time, effort, and patience. To achieve success it is best to plan ahead by taking advantage of the work being posted before the week starts. Along with really putting in the effort on all the homework and discussion posts, as they not just for you but others in the class to grow as a critical thinker.

One of the best professors I`ve ever had. She cares for her students and will do anything she can to help. easy to understand, organized modules. lots of work during 8 week course. group project involves reading novel (tuesdays with morrie, audio book on youtube) unfortunately, my group wasnt the best but oh well. fast paced, lots of work, mostly typing. def make a schedule and know when youre most productive, dont wait last minute :3

READ 100 8 week course,an awesome class however a lot of writing although its an online class you have to be at top of your assignments! please don't overlook just because its an online class. I can tell that she reads all the papers thoroughly answered all my emails I was very fortunate to have her its a great class.Make sure do things early!

This course is fast paced and requires more attention to detail in comparison to a 16 week semester, although is manageable if you do well with scheduling. There was a reading group project but the book that we had to read was a really interesting book.I would most definitely take this class again.

READ100 is a 8-week accelerated online course that requires you to read a textbook and a short book with critical thinking applied. I took READ100 as a fast track course and not to mention I also took this online. As an online course you as a student must do your own part and keep track of all lectures. Professor Gomez was very clear each week on all lectures. She responded to all questions I had during her business hours, she was an amazing professor.
