hysterical, a lot of class discussions, exams straight from power points

Scorching HOTTTTT!!! But besides that she's very repectful and kind to everyone, barely even used the textbook in class.. Definitely would recommend her for those who actually work hard for a grade.

She's the best!!!!!!! and if you don't take her class you'll miss out. Easy, fun, hilarious, sarcastic and in love with the princess, Megatron. Also her tests are easy and shes very helpful when you are confused.

Poor performance in grading and returning work. Changes due dates often, spends useless time on insignificant matters, exam questions are intended for a Magic show of trickery, is funny, knowledgeable, makes you part of the process, loves her dogs and helps everyone.

She reads off the powerpoint and sometimes gets into detail. Ask about anything you don't know and she'll answer. I wouldn't recommend her if you know nothing or little about the government. She's pretty though.

6 week summer course, goes way faster than needed just to end class early but exams are easy enough. All PowerPoint based. Negative would be when she goes off topic. Hates selfies, people in general really, know it all attitude, but she's there to answer all questions. She's going to say you NEED the book, nah. You don't. At all. (She's cool tho)

Best professor!!! Loved her class, really funny (if you're smart enough to catch that she's always joking). Respectful and always willing to help, cares about her students and wants us to actually learn and not just pass tests. She emails power points and does reviews

Professor Gonzalez-llanos really cares about her students. She's easy to get along with and I always looked forward to going to her class. She has a lot to say about her experiences in life which make her so inspirational. She loves her dog Megatron. Took her for summer B, we had 4 tests but as long as you take notes and study you should be fine.

She's a good professor. A bit fast paced for me... and I don't do well from those professors who teach straight out of the power point. However she will mention very important things to remember for her test and if you take the correct notes you will be fine. She does require a paper due at the end of the semester. However her clasess are enjoyable

I'm at fiu now I left mdc last summer. professor llanos really helped me be prepared for what was waiting for me at a real school. her class is but she cares about her students. sometimes mdc was to easy and even though i didn't care about government she made it interesting

I loved her class. She's the best teacher i had at wolfson hands down. There is no homework and only 4 exams. The exams are all on the powerpoint she goes over in class and she sends them to you too so if you miss a day, you can catch up. I would take her again most definitely

Her class is difficult if you don't pay attention. Listen to the lecture and take lots of notes. You can actually learn something from this class if you just do the right thing and do your work. She is a fantastic professor.

Professor Gonzalez-Llanos is great! She is young, so she becomes relatable. I am not big on American government, however she made it sound interesting. The vast majority of her exams revolve on the PowerPoints that she provides. Study the PowerPoints, pay attention in class, come to class, and you should get an 'A'. Good luck!

Her class seems like A LOT of info and it seems like you'll never be able to understand it all but she provides you with an excess of supplemental material. Watch the Youtube videos she provides, they're a life saver. Pay attention, take notes, and study. If you are passing this class, you will learn valuable information, theres no way around it.

This professor by far has been my favorite, she is very interesting with her lectures, can have great interaction and discussions and she is very open to listening to her students. As long as you read the book the test are easy. I passed by just reading the book and being there for the test review. Very simple 4 test and all information is there

I took her online class and I loved it. Get ready to read because she covers ALL 12 chapters in the book. She also assigns 3 essays you must write in a chapter of your choice (those to me were easy). I also like her because I had a C+ (i didn't show up for the midterm) with two point away from a B and she gave it to me without asking. THANK YOU!

PROFESSOR MARIA IS A VERY SINGULAR PROFESSOR, IN THIS MATTER, SHE IS EXCELLENT. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS CLASS IS THAT THE CONTENT DO NOT OFFER YOU SPECIFIC THINGS, WHICH YOU COLLECT AND MAKE A TEST. IF YOU ARE MAJORING IN IT, I STRONGLY ADVICE YOU TO TAKE, SHE IS SUPER CARING AND OPEN, EVEN LET ME MAKE UP A TEST WITH A PAPER. YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER.

I took her international relations class. She is a beautiful person who is also humorously realist. Her style is simultaneously laid back and informative. The other comments seem to me like the work of students that struggled with her exams. She does not assign hw and grades you on performance, thus the backlash. I strongly suggest this class.

She is great. Easy A. Participation is 50% of your grade so make sure you show up. I will definitely be taking her again for critical thinking.

Gonzalez is really nice and funny . She gives tons of extra credit and truly wants you to excel. The material itself is a bit difficult so you must read the assign textbook and take notes. Do not rely solely on her lectures, go over the powerpoint as well. There are 4 exams and she tells you what topics will be on the exam.

Very easy class. There is a quiz for each chapter and its nothing too crazy. Proctored midterm and 3 essays. Definitely recommend, especially for an online class!

She is an incredible professor! clear on what she expects from you from the beginning. allows one retake per term.... the class is leacure heavy so write lots of notes, she asks alot of what she discusses in class. tests are straightforward, very funny, and experienced in her field! i recommend taking her for INR2002 if youre a polisci major.

Amazing Professor for International Relations! She is trully passionate about the class, she also gives extra credit. She is has an amazing sense of humor and If you dont understand something she is willing to better explain it for you. Do not miss a class though because the information is crucial for exams. Loved her class would recommend her!!

Professor Gonzalez is great and so beautiful! Her style of teaching is laid back. The class consists of 4 tests which are easy if you study her PowerPoints. She is an overall awesome professor, I took her for two classes this semester and will be taking her again next semester.

She's wonderful,hilarious and just so laid back. Was not a hard class but the book was annoying so it makes the work kinda tricky. She's sarcastic but I loved that, passed with an A and passed most tests. Actually taking her again for Spring for her International Relations class (my major) and I hope it would be just as great.

Professor Gonzalez is an amazing teacher. She has such a dark sense of humor and knows how to keep class entertaining. Very accessible outside of class and always ready to help you even if it's not related to the class. Exams are easy as long as you pay attention in class and read the book. Very little homework to none and she offers extra credit.

I took Professor Maria's human growth class and I have to say that it is one of the best classes I've ever taken. She's super caring, her tests are very easy if you study and put effort in. If you don't study for her tests you have a really high chance of failing, but again they are really easy if you study or pay attention in class. She is funny.

Shes amazing! She really cares about her students passing which is a plusss because most professors dont care about that anymore. Test and projects are pretty easy if you actually take the time to go over your book. Dont hesitate to take her :)

This class was great! The material and exams were so easy. The essay topics were easy as well. There are quizzes, exams, and essays. Of course 1 proctored exam. The essays didn't have to be that long, you had various topics to choose from. That was all really. I really really recommend, it will be one less class to worry about.

She is an amazing teacher, very down to earth and hilarious! 2 test, 1 midterm and 1 final. Her class is very easy but you do have to study for the tests

Professor Maria is a great professor. Even though I didn't do so well in her class. She basically talks the entire class based off the PowerPoint. She DOES NOT give out study guides so review the PowerPoints and/or go see her personally for any help. Also, the exams will have repetitive questions so you can remember questions from old exams.

Prof. Llanos is truly amazing. She really does know what she teaches, honestly, if you plan on transferring to a University, later on, take this class because unlike other profs she doesn't cuddle you and actually teaches which creates this university-like atmosphere. Beware though, if you're hoping to get a study guide from her you won't.

Professor Gonzalez is a good instructor in my opinion. She is more than happy to answer any questions you may have on the material. Her tests are fair and she tends to go above and beyond to explain a certain issue/topic. If you are truly looking towards majoring in PoliSci or INR then you should definitely take her.

I took this class online and finished with a B theres 14 quizzes worth 20 percent 4 test worth 40 percent 4 pre test worth 20 and 3 super short essays worth 15 percent on your grade. Test 2 is proctored. Study the power points and books and questions off of the pre test. This class was tough but I rather finish it online than in person.

If you are lazy , you will fail.

4 50 question test the second test is proctored. You have 14 20-25 question quizzes, 3 short essay. 4 pre test and The book we the people eleventh edition is available online cheaper. No study guides study her power-points and pre test if you dont read you dont past. She lets you complete everything before the due date.

4 -50 questions tests the second test is proctored- 4 (40% grade) pre test - (20% grade) 3 short essay( its really not long)(15% grade) 14 chapter quizzes with 25 questions. (25% grade) study her power points and read. Taking this class on campus is harder than online I finished with a B+ she lets you complete all assignments before due date

everything is divided in 4 modules and each module is due on a certain day. super easy everything is on quizlet. i can't believe people would fail to turn in the assignments in time when they're that easy and told like two months before. also, you wont ever hear from her, she doesnt even have a bio.

Professor Llanos, handle the situation of COVID-19, in an flexible and accessible matter. Headaches were expected due to the pandmeic, but Professor Llanos made the online transition as smooth as possible. I thank Professor Llanos for her professional and caring way that she conducted our class.

Super easy online class. Grade is based off of 3 Pretests, 3 tests, a proctored midterm, 3 essays, chapter quizzes, and discussion forums. Do your work and you will pass with an A. Only downside is that she is hard to communicate with through email or through anything.

The amount of negative comments on here is crazy! Yes, exams are worth 95% of your grade but if you pay attention there is no reason for you to not get an A on every single one (the questions are literally copy and pasted from the class PowerPoints). If you want to learn, take the class it's an easy A. If you refuse to do the minimum, don't bother.

I love her! She is very knowledgeable about international relations and political science. It was such an interesting class. You of course do have to read from the book to be able to pass the tests. But overall great class and professor! Im taking her again for POS2041 for the spring semester.

She is insanely passionate about her field and also about teaching. She manages a LOT of information and that is really exciting for someone who is interested in history or political science, besides what is taught in this class is common knowledge for every citizen. She does talk fast, but exams are very easy and she does give extra credit!!

Before taking this class, the reviews scared me. But, this is a college class, yes you are expected to read, yes you are expected to take tests. She gives you the tools to succeed, you just have to utilize them. Read the book, take notes, and study (like a regular class and you will pass). If you want an easy A, opt for some other professor.

Took her for summer so it was a quick to the point course. SUPER easy assignments, clear syllabus, around 4discussion boards,4 essays,14 quizzes, and 1 proctored exam out of the 4 un proctored exams. If you study for the proctored with everything else she gives you it will be impossible to fail. Doesnt grade anything until last day so no deadlines

She's literally hilarious and very helpful. She's passionate about the subject and zero B.S. If you want someone to spoon feed you the answers to pass, she's not it. The class is basic and most of the info you should already know in the first place.

She has an expansive knowledge of international relations, and the lectures were pretty engaging. Other reviews complain about her tests, but if you do the reading that is assigned (shocker, you have to read) you should be totally fine for the tests. If you need to contact her, call the office line, she will pick up immediately most of the time.

barely went to class and got an A. mcgrawhill assignments, and a couple of test. she is very knowledgeable. first 2 test were proctored but then after she stopped. assignments were long. overall cool, sometimes responds to emails.

She is a great professor. As a Haitian student, I do not see any problem with her. If you read, and study you will pass. I just want her to give quizzes that we can have more attempt just to practice the FCLE and that will be great if she does everything on time. She is good.

Her lectures could get off topic but she could be pretty interesting. I thought she was sweet and I liked the content of the class. She is honestly really chill and I liked hearing her take on IR + our class discussions. The workload was very light. I took her last Spring and I am taking her again in the Fall!

She is very knowledgeable about her subject and while she can get a bit off topic, she posts her pwpts that literally have the exact worded answers of the exams. If you take notes or just look at the pwpts after class, you'll get an A on all her exams. She gives like 3 assignments throughout the semester which are an easy A. She's great.

4 Modules consisting of 16 chapters total. There is a quiz after every chapter, 3 essays, 4 packback discussions, proctored midterm exam with no study guide and a final non-proctored exam. It is ALOT of work but pace yourself and you'll do just fine.

Honestly the most generous professor in all of MDC. She lets you make up every assignment and Test if you ask politely and explain your situation. Her lectures are hilarious and engaging and the subject isn't even difficult if you put a little effort. Super understanding and genuinely a good person. 10/10 would take again.

All quizzes and test are online. Turn everything in and you'll pass. I would recommend taking her class.

Prof. Maria's a sweetheart that's adorably awkward lmao. She's kind of bad at online-savvy stuff but she makes up for it with her lectures that feel easy to follow with. She does tend to stutter (um and ah) and it becomes difficult for her when no one speaks up but she's super caring and smart! Do your discussions and just study the book. FCLE too!
