she a very good professor, this class is hard but if you shop up every day u will get 20 extra points and pay attention cause it is hard but she makes the class very interesting and u'll learn a lot. she is very nice lady and she will help u a lot

Prof. Guerrero is a great teacher. You will learn a lot, & its an interesting class. However, she does give weekly quizzes and her exams are difficult. Plus there are tons of assignments which can be overbearing. If you have the time you can get an A (the final is easy) but you will have to study a lot.

Want the truth? her class is not easy, you have to work hard for your grade, a quiz at the end of each chapter, exams are hard and long, assigments on Webct almost each week and projects, but if this is your field you'll love it, she is extremely informed and updated on the subject, she really knows what she is teaching, you'll learn a lot.

She is clear about the subject and teaches the subjects with up-to-date power point and video clips. Her lab is co-related well with the lecture class;you just need to try to do experiments in the order they were assigned. I think she is an excellent teacher.

Ok lets face it Biology and Micribiology are Not easy classes, its not the teacher is the actual class that is difficult. Highly recomended if u r interested in learning not in an easy A. 1 quiz every class, 2-3 projects and 3-4 exams + xtra-credit. Uhhm..maybe a little hard, but im a veterinary major so I really enjoyed it. Have fun!!

She is a great professor, I love her lecture, and she is very knowledgeable. I can tell you the tests are kind of hard, but she gives 10 points extra credit if you do an extra homework. You got to be on top on the material all the time, but at the same time you learn a lot about microbes and for a medical career this is very important.

Great professor - powerpoints are very useful! print them and add your own notes! she is VERY clear with her grading and what she expects and it's easy to make an A if you know what she expects and exceed her expectations! Take both her lecture and lab - it's easier that way! I made an A and didn't have to take the final!

Prof loves teaching. If you want to learn about biology she is definetely the right professor. Always prepared, takes her time teaching and the test are not a piece of cake but at the end of the semester you will have mastered each topic. Wish all prof at MDC would be as dedicated as her.

NOT A EASY CLASS, very hard, if you have the time (no job, no kids, no family) take this class. Be there on time, quiz every week, assigments and projects on Angel every week and 4 test. You really have to work hard for your grade.

She is a really good professor. I took her for bsc2010 and for bsc2010L her tests aren?t easy but if you study and review you are going to be fine, she explains the subject direct to the point so you can understand and will answer all your questions. She uses different tools to make the lecture easy and understandable. Highly recommend her.

AWESOME!!! this is my favorite teacher since I started MDC... She is hard do not expect to get an A if you don't study. There is a quiz for every chapter, aroung 6 homworks, one presentation and 4 test (3 mandatory). she knows what she is talking about and she really wants you to learn!! Highly recomended. I almost did not take this professor because of comments on here that she is hard. I am currently in her class and she is an excellent professor. Very organized, knows her material, wants you to learn. I have taken many classes at MDC and trust me this is one of the best professors I've had. Like any other science course you must study to succeed.

Guys, Biology is not easy and she makes it as easy as possible, she is funny, I highly recommend her. If you dont do well on the tests she gives extra credit HW and the grades go uo. You should take her.

Great professor, her explanations are crystal clear and her tests are fair. She will not give you more than what you can handle. Her lab taught me skills that I took with me beyond BIO-1. Take her if you wish to learn a thing or two.

This professor is the best professor i had so far in MDC. She is a dedicated teacher who is willing to help you anytime. If you study you'll find her tests easy. She gives three tests in the class also after every test she will give you an extra credit assignment the last test is take home. She gives assignment but hey more chances to get an A!

Beast teacher I have had so far. Not only does she actually teach, but she doesn't reply solely on her power points. She uses them as a reference and the rest is up to you. She gives practice assignments(in and out of class) and answers her emails quickly if you ever have a question. I barely just started this class and I am already hooked on it.

This professor is a harsh grader.She won't give you any extra credit or any make up. Her tests are too hard and too much to study for. If taking this class, you need to take it alone just to focuse on her class.

This professor is very good. She provides onlined powerpoints with everything she is going to cover in class. She provides study guides for the tests. Great lectures. Her classes are very interesting. Biology is not easy,many new terms to learn and many things to cover. Exams are ok if you study regularly. i got As but i love Biology. Youtube helped me a lot to visualy cellular processes. Love her class.

Dr. Guerrero is an amazing professor. She is to-the-point and holds you accountable for the work required of you. This is college, various assignments at one time is normal and will help you in the future. If you put in the work, you will find the tests fairly easy bc you put in the effort!

Prof. Guerrero is a real teacher, she expects you to do your work. The class naturally is a hard class, but the proff makes it as easy as possible. I took this class while taking trig and anatomy/L and received an A. Its simple, do all the assignments and when its time to do tests, a litle review will suffice. The class is a little hard because of the material but she tries her best to explain everything on a more simplistic way. Her quizzes and homework are online. I was super nervous taking this class during the summer but I just loved it. Get ready to work hard and study in advance. This will save your life. There are ppt, videos discussion, the book and lots of assignments and you'll feel overwhelm but the professor is really helpful and does her best to make class interesting. I ended up loving the class.

Great professor, I had to work hard in this class. Lots of assignments, lots of work, constant HW and papers, and quizzes, and exams, mandatory PLTL, mandatory LS online. Really time consuming. I recommend to take her when you have time because you will be working full time for this course.

Great lecturer, good flow of info presentation. There's HW but it's there to reinforce the material and you'll be happy that the info looks familar on tests. If you slack, your grade will show it. A lot of assignments but pretty easy and straight forward. Not to hard but not easy either. Do the extra credit they will help you out for the midterm and final.

Let me tell you something, she is awesome and know what she is doing. However, she is expecting the same and more from you. My advice is: don't take it if you are taking the lecture in other campus because you will have a hard time trying to catch up. Otherwise, I would recommend you to take it but still be prepared to study 120%.

Professor Guerrero is a a very knowledgeable in her subject, and the papers she assigned were interesting especially for a bio major. I strongly recommend that you take the class with friends and study together. That's what helped my with the tests. Be prepared for a lot of work, and don't take her lab without the lecture.

This is my second time taking this class and I wish I could've taken professor Guerrero the first time. She is organized, knows the subject very well, and she's very nice. This class itself is not easy but if you do all assignments, homeworks, write notes in class, review the powerpoints you'll do great in her class.

She is very detailed and lets you know what her expectations are from the first day of class. Microbiology is not an easy class. However, if you read the chapters, take lots of notes, and do the homework, you will make it in her class. This is no easy A but it is an achievable A. I got an A and you can get one too. Professor Guerrero is excellent, she has a sense of humor and she teaches well, however her test are very difficult and the study guides dont really help. I suggest you to read everything carefully before tests. Deadlines are short for assignments on blackboard . Test reviews have nothing to do with the exams. You will need to put extra effort.

I really loved this professor. If your major is Biology, you will learn Biology. Moreover, getting an A its not easy, but I would prefer taking a professor that really teaches me Bio than the one that I am currently having. Listen , this is a tough class. BUT she is an amazing teacher. If you have time to do 4 assignments a week. I'd recommend. She makes you learn and the repetition makes everything stick. When I started this course I was like oooh no. But the assignments are similar and grading is fairly easy. most assignments are online! Tests come with reviews!

I took this class during the last trimester of pregnancy and actually had my baby and came back to this class. She is fair and actually gives you the opportunity to succeed. Id recommend her.

She is a good professor, but extremely strict when it comes to attendance. All tests are online and a group project that takes over the final. LOTS of homework (playposit and connect)

i believe prof guerrero's lectures were very interesting and interactive, she actually wants you to learn. she assigns a lot of homework and she is a bit strict with grading. i took her in spring 2022 in person, there were 2 in person and 2 online tests. if you do all the assignments (playposits, connect, study with the review) you're good.

Professor Guerrero is an amazing and knowledgeable person. Her lectures make you want to pay attention and learn. Her tests are easy, just use her study guide and take notes while you read the book, this really helped me. She did assign a lot of work, but I recommend making a calendar and organizing all assignments from the first day of class.

I 'm back here writing a review after transferring to FIU. If you really want to get into the med or dental fields, you better learn Biology with Dr. Guerrero. Good amount of work, but worth it all the way. I learned a lot in her class and find myself in a better spot for upper Bio classes. Take her!

She does really good reviews before class and good feedback after tests. The playposits and virtual labs before class can be annoying but they are super helpful. Almost every lab report is a set of questions and tables split in between team members and then individual reflections. I learned so much in this course and she was so nice.
