Great professor! She knows her stuff! She has an obvious passion for the material. She's playful, using varied approaches to engage the class. While the scope of the course mandates she gloss over certain aspects of history, she makes sure its understood in a broader context. Sweet, knowledgable and flexible with students who make the effort!

Professor Thevenot is something else. Her syllahus is 20 pages long and she makes you sign a contract at the beginning of the semester. She freaks out if you have your phone in class. She says she isn't there to babysit you but she does anyway. Still, class is super easy and unless you're lazy you will get an A.

What a awesome Professor!! Super down to earth..I took her modern dance class. She is really passionate about dancing and attempts to match the class to the students interests. The class is really easy if you show up and participate. There is no textbook and two short presentations.

Ms. Thevenot is one of the more interesting professors that I've had. Her class is great, and she encourages open discussions. Word to the wise- If you're a student that doesnt engage in much conversation, then this isnt the class for you. Participation is the key to passing this class. Keep an open mind and be receptive to the ideas presented.

Very simple class! The syllabus tells you every assignment you'll receive and which days you don't have to come to class. Thevenot is really into the arts and passionate about her teaching. She has the best intentions for all the students, but obviously gets ticked off if someone gets on her case. Midterm and Finals only took 10 minutes. Very easy.

Prof. Thevenot is a quality professor at Miami- Dade College. She IS very strict but she cares. This is college. Follow the syllabus, do the readings, show up and be engaged, and success is inevitable. 1 Art Review, 2 Exams, 1 Group Project. Great professor, if you miss enough days unexcused she'll drop a letter grade, participation matters, 2 pop quizzes, an essay, there's a midterm and a written final, the group project is the oral final. All quizzes and exams are multiple choice. She does reviews for the exams. Her goal is to help not fail you, can be condescending at times.

Only reason for a 4 is because sometimes she would get upset had the majority of the class not read the assigned reading. This will lead you to getting a pop quiz (there's a definite 3 during the semester). You're going to need 5 scantrons handy. One big group project, be creative and participate! She was funny and nice if you do your part.

She's an excellent teacher, tbh. Your grade depends on how much you actively participate and how much you read your textbook. If you're able to master that and you're good with pop quizzes and presentations then you should have no worries. 10/10 would take again. Took Cinema Appreciation partly b/c I had taken HUM with this professor. To be honest, if you fail her class, consider dropping out of of college. She makes learning fun, her assignments are straightforward and the help is there if you need it.
