she was a little boring but a good teacher if you go to the website for text theres online practice tests for the chapters that she uses as an outline for her tests. sometimes she just changes the wording

She is great. She is very clear in what she wants us to do. She also teaches the material wonderfully, so you'll easily understand if you listen. Exams are very fair; no surprises. Exam materials are covered in the class and text. She is a wonderful profe

One of the better profs I've had at Douglas. Expectations are clear and the tests are aceable. Although, if you're really interested in learning more about psych she can be a bit frusterating as she doesn't seem to know much outside of the text.

She's great and easy! all u gotta do is attend to class and pay attention, and her tests are mostly from the study guide.

Super friendly and easy-going! Her exams are super easy if you attend classes and read your textbook. Exams are m/c (large portion of it), and a few written ones. There's no way you can't get an A, I did!

Excellent instructor. Don't make the mistake of disagreeing with her in a paper though or your grades will fall. It doesn't matter if it is something you were taught by another Psych prof. As long as you write what she wants to hear you will get good grades in this class.

This is one great prof. If like interaction in lectures this is the place to be. She is very helpful and always answers questions asked in class abd if she doesnt know the answer she will find it out for you. I had a great time in this class.

Very funny and easy to talk to. She explains things very well, I recomend taking her clss. She makes it fun and interesting. Adds new material during lectures for the exams which is nice to know class attendence is meaningful. Good teacher!!

Very nice lady, she's funny and she's easy to take notes from. The tests aren't hard at all, and she lets us watch funny videos. She's helpful and entertaining, but she also is easy to understand. Great teacher!

I had to laugh at the "ditz" comment--she has a doctorate--hello? Excellent instr and class. Need to go to class to do well on tests. Nice lady, helpful, v. clear. Tests m/c short answer, no term paper. You can get an A with some effort. You won't regret taking this course

great class and she is so helpful! really wants to help students succeed. The class needs to be more respectful and not leave at break. You get lots of in class info that helps on exams.

She's a GREAT teacher...get in one of her classes if you can. She's funny and really laid back. She's really approachable too, you can ask her anything(related to the course) and she'll be glad to explain it.

I found the class very interesting. Her voice is really annoying and small but her powerpoint notes are really clear and self explanatory. She posts them on myDouglas so attending classes are not really needed. Tells you list of things that are going to be on the test. Tests seem easy but marks I got were average. Project was marked really easy tho

She is a really good teacher. The class was organized. Take with her!

Janici was a fantastic professor! I wasn't expecting to actually enjoy psychology, but she was fantastic... She also gave us nice outlines and study guides for tests. I'd recommend her to anyone!

nice person, explains the stuff well and helps students to understand. shows funny videos at class, and tries to make the class interesting. textbook is used a lot, so u need to read it. Exams are not really hard and in class she will hint u what will be on exams.

Totally loved her, she is a complete sweetheart who made psychology interesting and fun! I enjoyed her class and would recommend her to anyone interested in psyc courses.

She is a very good teacher if you are interested in psychology. Very helpful and understanding. It was a pleasure to be in 2 of her classes. I would definately recommend her to anyone. Goodluck to whoever reads this :D

She's a nice lady. Pretty good proff knows what she's talking about. Very soft spoken talks about interesting things. She has so much knowledge about psych that if you ask her a question she will try and have an answer. If you take her for 1200 make sure you pay attention in lecture, she does pull some stuff from there, but overall a great proff!

I can overlook the fact that Maria is usually late because she really is a great teacher. Her lectures are quite interesting and she is very knowledgable and passionate about her field. She is always willing to listen to people's opinions in class. Tests are easy but she marks group assignments hard. I would definitely taker her again.

Maria was always on time for our class, but I agree that she takes forever to mark papers. We didn't even get the last one back before class ended. She taught well by walking us through her powerpoints and encouraging discussion. Tests were straight-forward multiple choice and short answer with no surprises. I'd take another class again with her.

She's a really good teacher, the topic are very interesting... Sometimes she is funny making the lecture memorable... Her lectures are clear, what is on the lecture is what will be in the test. My suggestion is attend every class and review and read the text for the exam and you will do good!

Sure she is boring but she's a good prof. She gives good examples and shows good movies.

I took her 3 years ago and she was a bit slow sometimes (like giving back exams) but she's pretty laid back and helpful. I'd take her classes again.

Good teacher, easy and helpful. Sure she's not really confident and sounds really weak (voice) so it's kinda hard to listen so sit in the front row. Overall, a good and relaxed teacher. An easy A for sure!

her tests are not straightforward as most professors do, but you will nail it if you truly understand the concepts and techniques. Easy marker on paper. A is not easy to get but possible to gain. Actually, least 5 or 6 students get A in my class. Be aware every detail on lecture even if they seems so unimportant, they will be on the exam.

She is ok prof. if you sit in the back you will zone out for sure. She has a monotone voice. The content of the lecture is really good and interesting, but she is not creative on how to teach the lessons. She just explain rather than be more creative on how to teach the techniques & concepts. Overall it is a good class but she can be boring.

Lectures are informative and lay out information well. Tests are very reflective of the lectures and a tiny tiny bit of the optional textbook. Cares for her students. Helpful and reasonable. Would take again.

Maria is kind and cares about her students. Most of the assignments can be well done and are interesting! The article discussion is probably the hardest component. She loves the topic and can sometimes get carried away talking about it. We occasionally fell behind. Overall, she is super sweet!

She's an amazing prof, super nice and understanding in any situation. I had her for online psych and participation was not graded which was amazing because her lectures are kind of boring, and her tests are medium hard so they are a must study. Easy marker though and very clear on assignments.

3 hour classes. She is very soft-spoken, but very understanding and nice! It is clear she cares about her students. Gives good test outlines and is always happy to help. Make sure to go on ACHIEVE and look over textbook for studying.
