Fun Class, Big Point Project that was a lot of work, but graded easily!

Good test style once you learn it. Lectures deal with real life examples, though fast at times. Love the way the research project is done a bit at a time so you can't procrastinate! Good professor, recommend her and would take her again!

Very helpful and nice and she is a Christian. Sometimes when she talks, you might get bothered by the baby voice; however, I am trying to take all of the classes she teaches.

She wants her students to do well and she is wiling to help, if you brave the trip to her office. Her character is out of this world and she loves werid pens. Make sure you read the book throughly. That's all her tests are from. Watch out for the essays!

Nice lady...cares about her class and wants to see them succeed. I think that if your class is nice to her and sucks up then the whole class does well. Thats how it went for my class and my friend had her for a diff. one and she was evil. Good prof.!!

Maria is an awesome prof! She has a lot of passion for what she does and conveys it through her teaching style. The tests aren't the easiest, but if you take decent notes and at least skim the chapters you should do well. Take Maria!! She's great!

Landon is definitely a marketer and enjoys artistic expression. That is where the problem begins for logic minded people. I honestly believe the way she graded the essay part of EVERY TEST was just to make a pretty pattern in red ink on my paper.

I had Maria for Advertising/Marketing Comm. She was a great prof, but definatly likes suck-ups. Buy her a red fru-fru pen and you're set for the semester. :)

She's OK once you get used to her shananigans....You have to have a sense of humor to put up with her for the year...nothing overly hard to deal with....

Wow, all you people are whiners...I thought the class was very easy, you hardly have to take any notes, everything comes right out of the book and you don't even really have to read it because she goes through it. Project is large but worth the time, and Maria makes class interesting!

Very outgoing and energetic prof. She knows her stuff. Tests were challenging, but if you study/read the chapters you could do well. Yes, there is an attendance policy/sign in sheet. Hard to get an A in class, but B's are common. Get to know her, she's fun to talk with at her office hours!

Class is not the easiest, but she definitly knows her stuff. the project is really long and time consuming but if your going into marketing take her cuz you will learn a lot. however if your not going into marketing find a different teacher because the project is to intense if u dont care about the class, overall i loved the class

Really knows what she's talking about! She's willing to help you out if you ask for it, don't expect her to baby you though. Believe her when she tells you that you need to be always working on your project. I thought I was on top of it the whole semester and I still ended up pulling a couple all nighters to finish.

She honestly gives a damn about students. If you go to office hours when you need something she basicly does the assignment for you. Stay on top of the project. It will kick your ass if you do not, trust me on it.

Maria is one of the best profs at GVSU. She does care about her students and will help you with whatever she can. It is a lot of work so if you arent interested in the subject, you may be better off taking an easier prof. I recommend taking her in the morning. No one can wake you up like Maria can!

She is very energetic and tends to yell. The research project is very long, but if you put in the time and effort you will do fine. Tests are all material she covers in class... go and study to get a good grade. She's very helpful outside of class. Get to know her. She's interested in her students.

maria is a little out there... she is a loud person. Her notes are easy to follow in class. Hard to figure out what is on an exam, no study guide. Marketing project that takes all semester. FINISH EACH SECTION AS SHE ASSIGNES IT! If you don't you'll be spending about 15 hours at he end of the semester!

When I first joined this class I thought I was going to die. Then I got to know her (go to her office hours)and she's awsome. I did bad on the individual assignments for the paper, and got an A- on my project, B+ in the class!(normally a C student) TAKE HER! She's entertaining and she has cool pens!

Maira is one crazy lady but overall she is great. I had alot of fun in her class. Make sure you keep up on the project and try to get into her office to talk with her any time you can, it WILL help your grade alot. I got an A on the project and alot of it was bc I talked with her all the time.

Maria is a bit crazy, but overall she's a good prof. She'll refer to students as "punkies" and wave her feathery pens at you...but she'll get her point across. Attend classes, take good notes, complete assignments on time & you're good to go. Exams are very easy if you pay attention in class. Only used the book 2 or 3 times entire semester.

Prof Landon expects you to work hard, but she gives you lots of guidelines and will help you every step of the way. I really learned a lot in this class.

Take Maria! Class is entertaining and she loves to teach the material. Lecture follows the textbook, which is no fun to read. Study if you want an A on the tests. Semester long projects take tons of time, but she gives good grades on them which helps the overall grade. Should be able to get B or better without too much effort.

OK! People, heed this advice--> GO TO CLASS AND BE ON-TIME! if you aren't on-time then don't forget to sign the sign-in sheet!Your overall grade will drop a full letter if you miss more than 2 classes. Also, take notes...lots of notes. The book wasn't really used in class, but it helps when you are studying for tests.

Fun lady! Makes class interesting with real-life examples of how Marketing is used. Wants her students to do well - has awesome availability for questions. Lets you know what'll be on the exam. Would definitely take again!

Maria is awesome!!! Makes the class easy with a ton of real life examples and crazy stuff. Be prepared to talk in class, she does call on people randomly to answer questions. If you need SWS credit this class is perfect because there is no difference between her SWS and her normal classes in amount of writing. Overall a good prof.

Great professor! She was really fun and made marketing interesting. Had real life examples and lectures were not boring. I enjoyed going to this class. Take this as an SWS because there was not a lot of writing. Tests and assignments were not that bad; she does a great review and focuses on individual projects. I would highly recommend her!

It's easier taking the class as SWS than not because you get a chance to redo your mistakes and she gives you the higher grade. Compared to the other SWS classes, you hardly have to write anything - more bullet points and a few small paragraphs for the assignments. Way less work if you choose a product rather than service for your project!!

First of all, one of the nicest people you will ever meet professor or not. With that said, she is a great professor who has real world experience and cares deeply about student success. Everything that you learn is in the book so using it can help out a lot.

Maria is hilarious! I never mind going to class, she is extremely knowledgeable and has passion for what she teaches. She wants all students to succeed and is willing to help. Maria has taught me a lot about Marketing!

take 350 with Landon, she is a very energetic entertaining professor, i had her in the 9AM section and she helped to stay awake, the SWS aspect of the class is relatively easy, and the exams are pretty simple too, she is by far my favorite professor this semester, i would definitely take her again, not a stressful class at all with Maria TAKE HER

As an IS student, I found this to be the most interesting and fun class of the semester, which is surprising. She is a wonderful teacher and explains everything very well and gives a well distributed work load that is easy to handle and helps with learning quite well. Thanks Again!

She is an awesome teacher who is energetic and passionate about what she is teaching. She expects participation and if you do it will make class go more smoothly. Assignments take time but are fairly easy and clearly explained. Everything is straight forward and I highly recommend taking her especially for SWS since the writing was bullet points.

One of my favorite professors so far! She was always energetic and had our class laughing all the time. I am a marketing major and this was my first marketing class so this was a GREAT start to my marketing classes. I would recommend her for sure!

Such a fun lady! Make sure to participate and stay off your phone or you'll be in for a long semester..I'd highly recommend getting on her good side. The tests weren't bad if you studied. The semester long project wasn't bad either-I believe the same as the normal MKT 350 class. I would highly recommend Maria for this class!

Landon is so much fun in class. If you have an open mind about her and the class, you will have a great semester. DON'T use your cell phone in class (look at syllabus). And ask questions as you have them, she is so willing to help. I'm not a marketing major, but this was by far my favorite class of the semester.

She is always energetic and keeps the class involved. Stay off your phone and try to participate in the class and you will have no problems. I was not a marketing major before this class but after speaking with her I have added Marketing for my second major.

She has such an enthusiasm-I absolutely loved her! Just do the marketing assignment throughout the semester. It's fun and easy. Her lectures are engaging and interesting. Loved her!

At first, she seemed really strict. But as you get more into the semester she is actually a great professor! I would highly recommend her. Just do the assignments throughout the semester exactly as she tells you and there should be no problem. She also tells you the types of questions that will be on each exam.

Maria is a great professor! I do not like marketing nor am I majoring in it. She tries to get the class engaged (even though most students do not for some reason). I would take her class again! She is very helpful and will do whatever it takes to help you.

A great professor! I have just taken her for MKT 350! Make sure you stay out of your phone and take notes. Be participative! She engages the class into her lectures. If you take good notes you won't need the book.

Landon is very passionate about marketing, the project is spoon fed to you all semester, but she is a tough grader, you will work for the grade, sadly I worked harder in this class than any of my Acc and MGT classes and still ended with a B. Test are hard because she does not prep you for them and a lot of T/F. But super nice to get to know!

Professor Landon is AMAZING! Her passion for students and marketing is very evident. She truly cares about her students and wants them to do well. She teaches clearly and tells you exactly what is on the tests. The assignments through the semester are super easy as well. TAKE HER if you get the opportunity!!!

I absolutely loved taking her class. By far my favorite professor at Grand Valley. She is super knowledgable and gives you great advice about things outside of the classroom like how to approach interviews and her past experiences. TAKE THIS CLASS! You will also be laughing a lot she is so funny.

I am not a marketing major and only took this class for my HTM program. Maria made it so easy! Attend her classes and go to her for questions and this class will be a breeze! LOVE her!

I switched my major to marketing because Maria made the class that awesome. I wish I could have her teach all of my classes. You can tell she's really passionate about her students and she really wants everyone to learn. Take her!!
