She is a good person and her class is pretty easy, you go take notes and then do homework online. The only problem that i found is that since she is a new teacher she doesnt know how to explain very well. But im sure with a little bit more of experience she will be great. The class over all is pretty easy, if you study and underdstand.

She is very nice..her class is easy you go take notes do homework online and if u do it u get extra points in the exams...if you go every day study her notes and the review your gonna get an A in the test..I recommend her

She is an a great person. She cares abou your grade, so she help you a lot with it. She is not so good explaining math, but she tries her best! The tests come from you homework, so study and you will get an "A" easily.

The best teacher I have ever taken she is very helpful if you dont understand you just got to put the effort if you do the homework you will past, she gives you extra credit and all the test come from the review

Love the way she dresses! But thats not the only reason why she is great. She teaches what you have to know, then you have the option to do the homework online for extra points toward your test. She gives out extra credit sometimes, which will even add more points. Just do the homework and review and you will pass this class easily!

shes an ok proffesor but u will pay attention because shes hot!! eassy class if u understand math and even if you dont. HW is extra credit for test. but its a funn class. TAKE IT!!!!

this profeesor was THE BEST...ive always hated math but she made my life simple. The exams were easy and hw was worth pnts towards the exams...shes always around for students & will do whatever to help. shes super nice and extreamly undrestanding. I passed with an A! i wish she tought calculus ..i would take her again anytime

She's a good teacher n helps students. I found the class very easy if u pay attention, do the h.w. n study. Her quizzes are eazy, not treacky at all n she's the 1st professor that I've actually had that has the best grading policy. Gives extra credit for h.w. Thoug, the class is kinda boring, but it's worth takinging with her.

i highly recomend this teacher to anyone who has problems comprehending math. she explains everything step-by-step. she has an enormous amount of patients and she works in favor to you, meaning that if you do not agree with something she might change something, if it will help you. bottom line....she is perfect

She is one of the best math teachers i have ever had. She made me better understand math. She makes sure that you know everything for the test.. she has review days before the test with everyone on the test. the online homework is not required its for extra credit and the final exam replaces the lowest test grade! take her best math teacher..

She know her material and she teaches very clearly and continues to go over the material till all students understant.. well at least the majority... accent is minor she is still very understandable... great teacher.. would recommend to anyone... gives reviews for all test and exra credit as well! the review is almost identical to the test! Very good teacher. Explains well and has lots of patience. Her accent is annoying sometimes but you'll understand her. Tests are easy and graded fairly. Gives extra credit and the reviews are very similar to the tests. Take this class if you may, she's fun, young, and friendly. You'll learn a lot.

She cares for those who want to pass. Teaches to those who care. Very patient always available during office hours. if ur looking for an easy A dont take her unless ur a wiz at math. I got an A and others did aswell, so it is possible. Out of other math prof i definitly recommend her hands down!

I came in expecting a lot worse. Her accent is really not that bad; You'll get used to it quick. I took her for pre-cal and she understands that math is difficult so she does give you a lot of breaks, like the online homework gives you 10 pts on each test. I suck at math but doing the hw got me a B and exempt from the final. Definitely recommended.

BEST math teacher! she explains really well and is always willing to help during office hours. Dont need the text book, just take notes in class and do the online hw for each ch and you will get ten extra points each test. Reviews are similar to the test. Maria Montes is possibly the best Math teacher ive ever had. Although my brother and I failed the class(we didnt do anything) we enjoyed her clarity and love for the subject not to mention how beautiful she was.

I took her last semester and I loved her class. She is a great teacher. I'm taking all the math class I did with her. She is really helpful and always happy to help. She is in her late 20's , and yeah I'm a girl but the teacher is pretty. But a AWESOME TEACHER!!

Incredibly good! Always had a hard time understanding math but she is really good at explaining the material. Took her for both of my math classes. Made math easier than it ever was for me.Don't need textbook, she prints out notes which are clear. Need help? Talk to her, she makes sure you understand it all. 10 + points from HW for tests! EXCELLENT

I took the course online, got a B. She posts videos explaining the material, asks for two proctored exams, midtem and final. Got to study like in any oder course, complete the quizes and homework on time. Gives four days to complete a quiz, every two weeks. She's a good professor.

She is quick and to the point. If you need help, have a question, or are confused over something she is going over, just ask. She is more than willing to answer your questions and help you pass.

She is an amazing teacher! I've had her for 3 semesters and I picked her based on how she helped me individually. She knows her material and makes eveythig as clear as possible but you have to be consistent and DO YOUR HOMEWORK online or you will not pass. Go to tutoring if you have to for extra points. She will make sure that you pass. :)

She is an amazing professor. The tag "skip class? don't pass." is true. She has fairly simple tests and her notes are straight forward. As long as you copy the notes you will pass the class no matter how bad you are at math. If you fail it's honestly your own fault, sorry guys.

LOVED HER! She grows through lessons FAST, but her way of breaking problems down was one of the most efficient ways I've ever been taught math. She's strict you either get it or you don't and is not the least bit forgiving when grading. She walks in & without hesitation is already doing problems, still i would recommend.

I took this class for MAT1033, and passed with a B because i was lazy, could've got the A. I thought she taught well and if you had any questions she was willing to help. I recommend this teacher she was good and she tells you straight up how it is. Its all honestly up to you, theres 5 tests and an optional final. I would take her again no doubt.

Took MAT0029 as an 8 week course. She explained the material well and willing repeat the material to help you understand. Do mymathlab homework and you should be fine on the tests. our class was suppose to be 2 1/2 hours but shed dismiss us within 30 mins - 1 hour into class.

One of the best math professors I have ever had. Her lectures are straight forward and her tests are exactly what she teaches. I 100% recommend her. Only 4-5 tests with an optional final if you are passing her course. Homework helps with your grade. She cares about students and will do everything to ensure you understand what she is teaching.

This professor explains everything very clearly, and you can always ask questions. She will answer it all. Shes very sweet and will help you. She will do step by step. Also she lets you bring a flash card with rules/ notes to every test. She is great! I wish I could take her again!

I am horrible at math but I learned so much from her I am happy that I took this class with her. She allows you to bring a flashcard for the tests which is extremely helpful!

I personally am not good at math but she is a good teacher and does give good explanations and she's very nice, sometimes she'll get kind of frustrated if you can't figure out how to work out a problem fast. Do not take her for a short, auditorial class if you learn math better with more one-on-one individual attention. Do your homework.

She is a good teacher, explained very clearly. 5 tests a semester and extra credit from time to time. Her class is moderate. No need to lose nights of sleep but some hours of study is required. She is a nice person herself and I recomend you take her class.

Prof. Montes de Oca is the best professor I've ever had, she sends the class in advance and counts the online hw as an exam, the final is optional and she explains really well. You will have to study to pass but she really makes that easy for you.

Textbook is not required. She sends you the notes you need to print out. Get ready because it is a lot of printing every week. Shes very helpful, you can always ask her for help. Shes very nice and understanding too. One of the best math professors at Dade.

Great class to take if you already know Algebra 2 (especially for those who are in dual enrollment or SAS). Homework is extra credit and tests are REALLY easy. Her lectures are to the point and notes are emailed to you.

If you are not so good in math, this professor will bring you back on track. Your interest matters. If you make an effort in her class, or struggle with homework she will assist you with whatever, as long as you speak to her and show good effort.

This professor gives what she gets. If you care about your grade than she will try to help you, but If you don't than she won't. Material is tough but its math! Homework is mandatory to pass but you have multiple chances to get an A. Some what sarcastic but in a good way. She loves students that ask questions. If you are confused SPEAK UP!!!

Professor Montes De Oca was really easy to follow. She explains the problems throughout . My class was 8-8:50 she would get to class at 8:10and dismiss us at 8:40 but she would teach the whole lesson . Fast paced but if you go to tutoring one hour every week before the test she would give you 10 points which really helps you on the test

She was amazing. I loved her! The class consists of 4 test and a final. The final is optional if you pass the 4 tests. Good amount of homework not to much but not to little. She is always available and provides great feedback. She cares if you pass. She prints out notes for you and goes over it in class. She is great.

I had her for the first half of the spring semester for an 8 am class. Don't need to show up but trust me you want to especially if you wanna learn what's on the homework/ tests. I took the 8-week class and let me tell you It wasn't as bad as I thought, of course the class is long, but her lessons were easy to understand (coming from someone that is not good in math) she did her lessons with MyMathLab and was helpful, as long as you really pay attention and do the work you'll be fine, try to never skip class,you'll get lost

If you carefully pay attention in her class, you will be fine. Just study a lot outside of school. She teaches from MyMathLab and it's so useful so that you know what will be on the test.

She is great at teaching and will be there to help you in class or during office hours when you need help. She clearly covered all the content and I was able to complete homework on MyMathLab (as she teaches from there, which is SUPER beneficial). Overall, great professor.

It was an 8-week class so it moved pretty fast, but she was there if you had any questions. She assigns homework through MyMathLab and her tests are based on the homework questions! She is a good professor very complicated class i took the course in 6 weeks DONT DUE with anyone is to much content .No final .homework worth 20% and 4 tests . She is not a bad teacher is just the very short time. she always try to help if you have doubts I reccomend taking her in a 16 weeks class . Dont take her in 6weeks or with no one

If you take an 8 week course with her prepare to be stressed. Our class is 2 & 40 minutes long but she always ended class after only an 1 hour or an hour and a 1/2. We had 4 tests to complete and only two classes in between to learn the material which is why it bothered me for the class to end early. Overall the class is achievable.

Super great prof! Took the 6-week course—she let us use flashcards on tests. Personally preferred learning on my own, but she always went over homework in class. I failed the class on my own, not because of her. She's helpful and fair. Would definitely take her again (and I will).

I love this professor the homework assignments can be done in class she explains very well, there are 4 test that are very easy if you take notes and do the HW. Would definitely recommend.
