She is really easy. She is helpful, patience and understandable. She always available to answer your question. Before she was just a part-time professor, now she became a full-time professor. I used her office hour and asked question that I did not understand. She always encourage her students. She a nice professor.

I love her teaching style. At first, it seems like that the class is easy but it's not. You have to work for your grade. There're 4 essays and 3 revisions. You have to read a book, two chapters per day and theres always a pop quiz to check if you read it or not. One research paper, 7 pages long, but theres a lot of steps before the final draft.

She makes grammar interesting and understandable. She is strict but helpful. If you want to acquire a solid foundation in grammar, pay attention to her class, take notes,preview and review the textbook, do your homework. I highly recommend her.

She is not an easy teacher if under easy you mean an easy grader. But it is easy to get a good grade if you do all the work: read all assignments, ask questions, revise your papers, take good class notes. She is very kind and loves to help, so just ask.

This is my second semester taking a class with her. Her lecture is interesting and helpful. Students learn grammar by playing games and watching videos in class. There are about 4 tests, 4-5 essays, one research paper and one final presentation. You need to follow her steps to write your essays. You will not regret taking her class, period.

She's a really nice teacher and prepares her student for English 1A. If you are looking for easy A for 33B, I guarantee that English 1A would be a huge jump and you barely can pass 1A. Homework may seem to be a lot, but it's not overwhelming. 1A has much more assigned readings and writings. Take her class! And strive for an A!

I took her ESL 33B last semester, and it was really awesome! Her lecture was really clear, and she treated each students fairly. She is a great professor, but she gives a lot of stress to students for exams. The lectures are so good and she wills to answer all the questions students have, however she is a demanding professor. It is not an easy class. For getting an A, students have to work a lot. Also, be aware of pop quizzes, they are many.

Tests would be easy because all questions in the tests are based on what she has taught in the class. You can know what is the topic of your in-class essay since she would discuss the topic with students before the essay. She told us to write a 10 pages research paper but finally she just need us to write 3 paragraphs. she is a fair grader.

I think she's knowledgeable. It's not important that she has a little accent. I think because she learned Engish as 2nd language, she knows how to help students. Those people that hate her need to think about their own writing skills. They shouldn't expect good grades if they can't write!!!

I went to her office hours several times, and I got much good feedback on my research papers. She makes sure you are on the right track. She does not have any favorite students. She sees all the same. I never noticed any bias in her class. We had only one pop quiz which was not hard. Not even hard test, they were normal. She makes class very fun.

I agree that maybe it's not easy to get A in her class, but I feel I got prepared for the next level. My last teacher gave me A, but I didn't learn too much. This is college not adult school. Students in higher levels should know how to write correct sentences that other people can understand.

Engl001A online, short class = more work. Tough, but read what's assigned & make time for classwork. Communicate if ur struggling, she is happy to help answer questions or meet virtually. Never felt any sarcasm & she advocates for non-native English speakers & immigrants (really rude to see so many negative comments about her accent & speaking).

Although her voice is not easy to hear, she has tried very hard to change the classroom from offline to online during the covid pandemic. She is also very caring and gives students detailed feedback in every essay.

She is a tough grader only for essays but she allows improvement and you basically are writing them without realizing it! She does weekly journal entries which are just for you and her, and she really wants her students to communicate with each other and build a community.
