Mrs. Rinehart is an awsome teacher. She is extremely helpful. She makes class time fun andenjoys her job. I wish she was my teacher for every subject. She lets you use an index card also on tests. They are not needed, she teaches very well!

I took this specific math course simply because of Maria, who I had for MAT 1033. She is a wonderful teacher! Her explanations and examples are very clear. If a student is still unsure, she'll explain in great detail until the topic is crystal clear. I highly recommend her!

Great teacher. I was bad at math and this teacher gave me confidence. If your bad at math I strongly advise you take her. She gives review sheets and explains things till you understand wish she was teaching the next math. I will miss her.

Makes the material easy for everyone to understand. She also allows a notecard for each test, and four for the final. Her take home test came straight from the book. She has a great sense of humor and makes class time go by quickly.

A truly wonderful teacher. Knows the course material and works with you until you get it. Has friday 3 hour open classroom for you to go and learn what you need to pass.She will go over anything you need in class. One of the best math teachers in the galaxy. Goes above & beyond to help students. Works extra hours, which she is not paid for, to help students before/after class. Is fair with everyone. Paient & encouraging. If all math teachers were like her more people would pass the first time.

Before Mrs. Rinehart, I suffered terribly with math, and had pretty much figured if I didnt pass this class (it was my 3rd try) I would give up on college. Since day one, I have been excelling with her help. She is ALWAYS available for questions. And you get extra credit for showing up!!

I had to drop my last teacher for the same class last semester. This teacher is one of the best. If you need help ask. YOU MUST keep up with homework and Attendance. So far great GRADE Teacher speaks spanish too. Very helfull

Homework is mandatory but it helps your grade alot. Me the worst math student passed her class with a B+. If your are looking for a good teacher here it is.

I was impressed with Maria's ability to clearly explain math from the easiest problem to graphing. She made it seem easy and never made anyone feel bad for asking a question. I was terrified to get back into math after being out of school for five years and the last class I had taken I failed! But wow what a great teacher. Very helpful, really explains things. Shows you exactly how to read a word problem I mean really I thought word problems were scarry!!! I would highly recomend her to anyone getting back into math.

My first experience with this class was not great. But with Maria she is able to relate the subject to you. I learned more in a couple months with her then the 4-5months the first time. You can not go wrong if you take her class.

I love this lady! She's very nice! I missed a few days due to an accident and she was MORE THAN WILLING to catch me up. She was also concerened for my well being! She breaks down anything you don't understand to the point where you will! Everyone should take her!

Maria was fabulous. I have always stuggled with math, but she was somehow able to get me a C in the class, and gave me the skills necessary to pass the state exam. She is an amazing teacher! I wish I could take her for every math class.

I had Ms Rinehart for a studio class and she is a GREAT teacher, she cares about whether her students are learning or not and does not like to see them struggle. She is very involved in the studio course she teaches. She would always come check on me to make sure I was understanding what we were covering for the week. EXCELLENT AND HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Awesome teacher. In terms of quality of teaching, above all the rest. I failed mat0024 the previous semester (mind you it was a full semester) and then retook it with her for summer A. Passed with a B+! If your looking to genuinely learn some math then this is the teacher you want. There will be no need for the math lab with her!

Mrs. Rinehart is the BEST math teacher in all of Santa Fe College!! I am horrible in math, but she had confidence in me and the patience to teach. She never makes you feel stupid, and she goes out of her way to make sure you pass the class. You do have to put in the hours and do the work, but if you take her you will not be disappointed!

I'm a horrible math student. That being said, Professor Rinehart was extremely patient with me. She explained mathematical concepts that seemed mindbogglingly complicated to me and did so without making me to feel ashamed of my math skills. I would highly recommend her. She was even willing to meet students having difficulties after class to tutor

Ms. Rineheart is awesome. First math class I didn't dread going to everyday. As long as you show up and give an honest effort to succeed, she will help you anyway she can. I wish I could have her as a teacher for the rest of the math classes needed. Attendance is factored into your grade, so don't hurt yourself, just show up!

Maria was the teacher who made me love math (this coming from someone who detested the subject before). The three negative reviews in a row below mine I suspect all come from the same student who is bitter that they didn't work hard enough to earn what should have been an easy passing grade. I am currently part of Maria's college algebra course, and I would blind folded recommend her as a teacher, always willing to help her students, and always makes her tests about what she taught in class. You have homework and quizzes due all the weeks and this helps you to study better for the test.

When it comes to professors I don't think you'll find a better one. Sometimes I would've liked more clear questions on the assignments she makes, however she sets you up to do well, if you aren't naturally mathematically talented you must study. She does make confusing test questions, and homework questions sometimes though. She is very helpful.

She's a great and helpful professor. I went into her classes thinking I was terrible at algebra and came out actually really liking it. She likes and cares about her students, and has a great sense of humor. Lots of homework but she's always happy to go over things multiple times if someone is struggling, and is very available out of class as well.

I really liked Professor Rinehart as a person but she could be a bit confusing. I have always struggled with math and this class was not super easy for me. She gives good notes but I felt that some information was always lacking when trying to complete the homework. If you're good at math then I am sure you will love this class and her.

Amazing teacher! She is so helpful and understanding and super fun. Never even opened the textbook as the class was a hybrid and we did all of our work online. Attendance is super important though and lab time is mandatory and timed. As long as you do the work, it is very difficult to fail this class. She gives many ways to bring up your grade.

She prints out her notes that you just have to fill is she tells you everything you need to know. Homework every day and a couple quizzes every week. 3 tests that aren't too hard. Best Maths professor I have ever had. There is a lot of work but its because you have to practice to understand. Mrs. Rinehart is one of my favorite professors at Santa Fe. I took her for both Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra and she was a great teacher. She truly cares about her students and will take the time to go over something again until you get it. She is always available in her office for help, which is a huge plus. You will not find a better math instructor than Maria Rinehart, it was a pleasure to be in her class simply just do all the homework, class projects, study and you will pass the test because you're actually tested on what is taught in class unlike some other professors and there is extra credit available as well which is a bonus! It was a pleasure.

She went through difficult questions on the homework and gave exceptional notes one could easily review. Had a great attitude and made herself approachable. We did not use the textbook in class, but you DO need the Access Code for My Math Lab. You had to pass all 3 tests given throughout the term, but gave the option to retake the first two.

Great professor. Very caring and understanding. Very good at explaining and making sure you understand the criteria before tests. Makes the class easy to pass. Ive always struggled with math but understood everything she taught and passed her class easily. A lot of homework but in the end really helps you to understand the criteria for the tests.

I'm a non-traditional student who did not graduate high school. Professor Rinehart helped me overcome what I thought was going to be a major roadblock in my collegiate career. Both she and her TA were patient, kind, and insightful. Rinehart's effort to help me outside of class time made a huge difference in my understanding of math. Recommend!!

Ms. Rinehart is absolutely amazing. She is so caring, & wants you to do well in her class. Her lectures are great. She makes everything so easy to follow and understand. She is always very thorough, and is more than happy to explain something more than once. I am so upset I cannot take her class again next semester. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best teachers I have ever had, she did as much as she can with the sources she had, if you do not commit your life to this class, good chance you will fail. if you want a less stressful life do not take express.

Respect her and she will respect you. Lots of homework but everything on homework is taught beforehand. Tests are easy if you go to class. Take her if you struggle with math.

Ms. Rinehart is a decent choice for MGF1106. The course itself isn't hard, and there are many online quizzes worth a good amount of points. She is sympathetic for the most part and willing to help. We usually get out of class within the hour, sometimes even less. There are four tests and a final. The book is the typical online Pearson for 120 bucks

Mrs. Rinehart is the most amazing professor I have ever had. She was so amazing and such a great math instructor! She explains things that seem so confusing to make them seem so simple. If you have to take MAT1033, TAKE HER. I run into her from time to time and she always asks about my life and really does care about all of her students. BEST EVER!

She is an amazing Professor. This is my second semester and she is just fabulous! Attendance isn't "mandatory", but if you have perfect attendance she gives you extra points on your test and the attendance restarts at the end of each test. She is extremely nice and makes sure everyone understands. Super easy class as long as you do the easy work.

I LOVE Mrs. Rinehart!!!! I struggled with math bad. She helped me through the entire semester. Everytime I e-mailed her she e-mailed as soon as she read my e-mail. She worked with me in her office after class and went over every problem with me on one particular assignment. You HAVE to take Mr.s. Rinehart for math. I made an A.

This class is pretty easy, there's a few of tough aspects in each chapter but it's really not that bad. 3 tests and 2 of them were take home with a short in class part to the test. If you show up everyday and watch 2 movies (one for each take home test) she'll give you extra credit on your tests. Also, she's drop dead gorgeous. Take her class!!

Cool teacher. Worldly. Cultured. She can get sassy when you ask her questions but if you're friendly with her then you can tell it's all good and she's glad to help. Unfortunately some of my classmates didn't catch on. She posts grades super quick, offers more than enough extra credit. I slacked off and got a B. Easy class if you pay attention.

Professor Rinehart is very caring and straightforward. She works with you if you approach her appropriately and kindly. Also showing up to class every day shows your dedication to the class and she notices that. HW and Quizzes are on MyMathLab. For the final exam study the multiple choice review packet the department gives you!

She is a straightforward professor, class lessons very clear but requires to pay attention. Gives extra credit points for attendance & test review homework for each exam. Do your homework, attend class and show dedication, she is very caring and accessible outside class. I will take her for all my math courses without hesitation.

Make sure you go to class. Perfect attendance gets you 4 points extra credit on each test! She also offers an additional extra credit for tests on MyMathLab! She is bilingual and can teach math in Spanish for those who prefer it (ex: several of my peers). She is a picky grader (don't forget units and signs)! She is usually available at her office.

I took MAT1033 with Mrs. Rinehart she is an excellent teacher, she really knows how to explian. She gives us guides in the class to practice for the homeworks and quizzes. If you practice and do the quizzes, the class is an easy A. Also, she is able in her office hours.

THIS INSTRUCTOR IS AMAAAZZZIINNGGG!!! She is very helpful, easy to understand, will return e-mails in a timely manner, will work with you and has great office hours. Passed with an A. She gives test reviews for homework to help you prepare for your test. Test are just like the homework.

From MAT028 to MAT1033 to MAC11005, I HAVE TAKEN ALL MY MATH CLASSES WITH HER. She is amazing and very smart.

I recommend her. she will give a lot of homework, but all works will be worthy. If you do homework and go to class, you will pass and get A. Go to class for extra 5 credit! And do review online quiz for extra credit.

Mrs. Rinehart was the best professor I have ever taken at Santa Fe College. She is passionate, kind, VERY intelligent, and wants to see you succeed. Be careful though, if you ask questions during class, sometimes she will make jokes that could be taken the wrong way and could possibly embarrass you. Class laughing at you, you feel dumb, etc, etc.

Professor Rinehart is one of the most remarkable instructors I have ever had. This past semester has truly been a pleasure. She is kind, funny, relatable, interesting, understanding and is fantastic with the subject area. I've struggled with math and she understood. She was so helpful and patient with me. She let me come to her office after class to help me understand things. She was always so excited for me when I got a high grade. After I finished the final I was so nervous for my grade and she told me "you'll be okay" Truly one of the kindest teachers I've had.

Took her last semester for elementary algebra. She was amazing. Her teaching style was one of the best Ive encountered. Fully prepared for the next math. Literally picked up where we left off.

If you don't attend each class every day, on time, you will struggle. I took Prof. Rinehart for two accelerated A/B term classes and each day we covered a lot of material. She handed out a lot of papers but we reviewed each of them thoroughly but quickly. I respect her as a person. She really wants students to see their potential.

I have struggled in math all my life and have taken this specific math course four different times across two different colleges. Professor Rinehart went above and beyond for me this semester and refused to let me quit even when I thought I had to. An encouraging, kind, empathetic and enthusiastic educator. An amazing instructor.

Although I did have perfect attendance in her class and that is a big reason to why I did so well in her exams

She has a high rating for a reason. She actually cares about her students. Without going into specifics, she has accommodated me a lot to help me when I have struggled in the class. If you need extra help, she will give it to you, no problem, even if you need a LOT of extra help. If you attend and stay focused, I don't see how one wouldn't pass.

Professor Rinehart is the best teacher on campus, hands down. This woman cares about her students academic careers. This teacher will take any measure to help you feel welcomed, appreciated and noticed. Her lectures are well written and formulated to set you up to pass the homework, quizzes and tests. For any course, she is number one.

Mrs. Rinehart is extremely caring about her students! She's very nice and gets to know her students as much as they will allow. If I didn't have her as my teacher, I wouldn't have passed this class. You do need to attend class because she will assign group projects frequently but she's always very helpful and will give you the answers to study.

She makes math so approachable, even for people who aren't great at it. I took her for remedial math my first semester and again for my last math class before graduating. She does sometimes misspeak during lectures, but she always fixes the mistake. Unlimited homework attempts on MyMathLab. Maria genuinely cares about her student's success.

This professor is so nice. Her notes are very detailed and she goes into depth. As long as you submit homework and tests on time it is really hard to not pass. She is always quick to respond to emails and wants her students to end her course with a good grade. I definitely would recommend her.

Ms. Maria is the best college math professor I have had. She gives a lot of work, but only because doing the work actually helps you understand the content. She also gives a plethora of extra credit opportunities. If you work hard and do all the assignments you will get an A. She is a great professor and I recommend everyone to take her.

The best professor at Santa Fe--hands down! She guided me through 2 remedial maths all the way through college algebra with an unmatched an unbridled enthusiasm. I am an English major and not a Math guy at all--I am graduating because of her teaching ability! She will help you if you want to be helped and she rewards perseverance and effort!

Best professor I've had. Very caring but strict and gives extra credit (up to 10 points on exams). Do the homework, come to class and you get extra credit. She went out of her way to make sure I had the school papers. Very sweet and very accessible. Would recommend her to anyone.

Do the notes before their due date, pay attention to the lessons, and do and redo the homework and quizzes until you get 100%. Mrs. Rinehart is great at explaining, took things that have confused me since the sixth grade and made them ridiculously easy. If you put in the effort and follow the provided schedule, you will pass easily.

Mrs. Rinehart was by far the best math teacher I have had in college, although you have to put in the time and effort to learn the material. I think sometimes students blame the teacher for not doing well in the class but it's ultimately up to the student to learn the information. She is very helpful but won't hold your hand. Would recommend!

She responded to my emails every time, even when it was late at night or over the weekend. Her exams and final are easy if you study. This was my first online class ever and it was an 8:00 am class. I love numbers and I absolutely adore this class, she was really nice and ready to teach us so early in the morning. There was lots of opportunity for extra credit so you can at least obtain a B in this class if numbers are not your thing. Really nice professor, 100% recommended.

Most positive online class experience I have ever had. She is very helpful and will respond on weekends/ after class hours. Class is set up extremely clear and she gives extra credit for every test. A lot of work but its super helpful for her tests.

Professor Rinehart was great with in-person tutoring and she really helped me understand the material. She is quick with emails and if you need help she is there to help you. I would 10/10 retake her class. There are a lot of notes in the class it's the majority of the work. But it's to help you understand the material and it really works.

Professor Maria Rinehart is one of the BEST Math Professors for College Algebra, Trust Me! I am struggling with the material but I am studying very hard to pass class in order to move on to Statistics in the Spring of 2023. She is very strict with it comes to testing and homework, but if you ask her for help and work hard, you will pass, hopefully.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. If you go to all the classes and get a good grades on practice tests you get extra credit. She curves grades. Gives pop quizzes that you can't make up, so plz go to class. She's not a super easy professor but you will learn what you need to learn, and she always tries to answer everyone's questions.

Great at teaching the course, but she can be a tough grader at times. She does give extra credit on tests for perfect attendance and completing extra work. The extra credit really helped out!

Mrs. Rinehart was a great professor! The only reason I gave the difficulty a 5 was because algebra has always been my hardest class. There are 3 tests, and then the final. Pop quizzes are open notes, so take them! She is so nice, and so helpful if you ask! Hardest class I have ever taken, but still got a B.

Professor Rinehart is a very caring teacher. Her class did have a lot of M.O.M due every week but if you didn't wait last minute then you could easily get good grades on them. There are some pop quizzes but they are open note. At the end of the course I had a B but after she dropped lowest grades my grade went up to an A. Overall great Professor!!

Hardest class I have ever taken. Lots of homework.. and very exam heavy. She gives 3 extra points on exams if you have perfect attendance.. so show up always. Her class is hard. I took Professor Rinehart for precal back in Fall 23', one of the best math teachers I've ever had, now that I'm in Calc 1 I feel like she prepared us enough to be ready for it. She offers extra credit for perfect attendance between each of the 3 tests, use it. There were a lot of hw assignments that required watching some videos to complete them.

Professor Rinehart runs a challenging course, but she's caring and offers plenty of resources. Consistent attendance and effort are key. Unstuckstudy AI was a great study aid alongside the textbook.

Such a sweet lady, I enjoyed her class and made it through with a B+. I am a TERRIBLE math learner, and she made it easy with her papers, assignments, and quizzes so that I felt ready for the test. BE AWARE: She will NOT respond to many emails through Outlook or Canvas, but she WILL read them and talk to you IN PERSON if it's anything important.

Explained all lessons in class very well. All the assignments done in class prepare you for the tests, and she does not give material that has not been reviewed in class already. There is a substantial amount of homework assigned, but it is all beneficial for understanding the material.

Mrs Rinehart is the sweetest person. She cares a lot about her students and never makes you feel ashamed if you don't understand. Her lectures can be a bit long, and she takes a long time to get through the lesson, which is a bit annoying. But overall, it's good because you understand the info well.
