She is an excellent professor and highly highly recommended.
Great Teacher! Funny!!! Gives excellent lectures and puts all notes on board. Have fun in the classroom, but don't fool around in the lab.
shes funny and tries to make the material interesting. she is always excited about everything she is gonna teach.
She's very funny and entertaining. Never a dull moment in that class. She's BRILLIANT and therefore knows her stuff. Four hours of lecture is tough but she gives a break every 45 minutes. Highly recommended.
Very good professor! She explains everything very well. She actually makes you to understand the stuff. All the quizes and exams based on what you have covered in the class.
This teacher's great. She's so nice. And she'll explain anything to you. Not a lot of work, and no surprises on quizzes/tests. And you can drop your lowest quiz and test and experiment. Also, she lets you out early like every day. Definitely take her.
Extreamly helpful. Very nice lady. That 4 hour lecture kind of kills you though.
She made the class fun and informative. She takes notes for you and has a creative method of teaching through a hands on approach.
Very nice prof., helps a lot, and does makes life easier. You would have to study very hard to get an A.
She is an awesome lady because she simplifies things and if you take her for the 1st chem class, you will be well prepared at a unerversity for the next chem class.
Besides for being a great teacher (exciting, clear, enthusiastic), she is also a very sweet person. She is so concerned about all her students doing well, and she'll do anything to help you get through the semester with a good grade and level of understanding. Possibly the best teacher I've ever had. I wish she taught more classes.
She is Great! You are able to ask any questions and she is more than willing to stop and explain it again until you understand it. I highly recommend her class to anyone. She also takes interest in what her students academic goals are and is willing to help in any way she can.
She makes difficult subject material seem easy!
I recommend her for General Chem. She will take the time to explain things to you.
Easy! Slept through the entire semester and passed with a B. Take it if you're lazy like me. You'll pass.
She is a wonderful teacher!!
Ms Valentino is a wonderful teacher! Althought the class was a lil boring, and u had to stay focued, she made it fun and enjoyable. Very helpful when u do not get something. If you want an A, you gotta study for the tests and quizes. Im not saying it's an easy class, but i highly recommend the teacher!!
Fantastic Teacher! She explains soo well. She has a passion for this stuff and she makes anyone have an interest also. Her tests are straight from her lecture, not surprising.
She is TRULY an amazing teacher! She made Chemistry very simple, and enjoyable-even though the class was 4 hours long. Anyone and everyone should take her if they get a chance. SUCH a sweetheart! Def. my favorite professor overall!
If you are afraid of chemistry this is the teacher to take. She simplifies everything and lets you know exactly what you need for the exams. Great!!!! Would take her again in a heartbeat. Would not have done as well in any other class. Wished she taught chel 203 also.
She is very nice teacher. I cannot tell that she was giving away the good grades, but overall very good if you have problems in chemistry! Very strickt about attendance- you better be there!!she makes chemistry eassy.
very nice! gives plenty of breaks. writes all the notes on the board. explains things clearly and simplifies labs. she loves it when you ask questions. provides answer keys for group work, exams and quizzes when returned. pretty strict with safety in the labs. I recommend doing the hw problems. overall a pretty easy teacher.
GREAT TEACHER
Take her if you do not have a clue about Chemistry. She will make this class easier than Gym. She explains everything and writes everything down on the board for you. She is not one of those professors who skips steps; she's too good to be true. I love her and love her class. I just wish she taught Anatomy & Physiology. Life would be much easier:)
I've never taken chemistry before and passed with an A. She is really help full and gives good notes.
Very good teacher. She explains everything well and you can actually understand alot. She gives notes for each chapter. The Quizes and tests are ok you just have to study to get a good grade in this class.
Fabulous teacher, passionate about Chemistry! Brings concepts to reality. Excellent prep before you do a lab, brings the lab work back to the text. Tests are tricky, you have to know your stuff backwards and forwards, but no surprises. You WILL know everything you need in prep for higher Chem classes.
Valentino is an amazing teacher. She has a bit of OCD, and acts really funny at times (without wanting too) shes a bit cooki, but you WILL love her. Shes entertaining. And makes chem extremely understandable. All you have to do is be prepared for class, and dont skip lectures!!
I trusted this site and took her. I didn't understand a thing. She goes by too fast and complaints about students all the time. She isn't very clear and gives tests every lab day. You really have to study a few hours a day to pass. Total let down of a teacher.
Her class is very straight forward, organized, and clear. Her teaching method is very step-by-step which helps students understand all the material and retain it. She is very helpful and loves when students have questions. There are only 4 tests the whole semester and a lot of easy points. Take notes, attend class, and do the HW to do well.
She does not know how to explain the material. The class used to be 4 hours long and she does not stop. She keeps going and going like a machine. Her tests are not that hard but some questions do not relate to the material. The exit exam was the hardest exam I used to study on the study guide and it was a waste of time.
OMG, OMG, OMG. She made this class so easy, seriously. She's well organized, stays right on schedule, and gives great notes. I love chemistry, which maybe why its so easy to me, but she just made it even better. Tests seem way too easy, & I barely studied, I just payed attention to her lectures! VALENTINO IS NUMBER 1!!!!
Valentino is amazing!! By far the greatest teacher at Wright. She is so sweet and her class is a blast. Quiz and test questions are straight out of the notes she gives you so pay attention and you'll get your A. I love this prof, I wish I could take her again! She is so enthusiastic and a genuinely kind person. Take her, you wont regret it!
Ms. Valentino is a fantastic teacher. She's really organized. There are no surprises on her tests and quizzes. She is extremely helpful. She gives you so many opportunities to do well in the class. It's an easy A. She is probably the nicest and sweetest teacher out there. If you do bad in the class, it's probably your fault.
I attended Valentino's class for one day and that was more than enough for me. She talks to students like they're in pre-school and obviously doesn't expect much from anyone. Good luck on the Exit Exam if you don't already know chem. BTW, the lab text is a few selected labs from the same textbook, but costs 10x more than the full text. DOH!
Great professor, one of the best is city colleges she is very clear and fair person. If you do the homework come to every lecture & lab you will learn a lot. I wish I had her for CHEM 203. Thank you professor Valentino.
She is a very fair teacher. She makes it easy to pass the class and offers extra credit. The Quizes, Tests, Homework, and Pratice problems are easy. The book you don't really need because she puts everything into powerpoints. If you do buy a book, don't buy it from the book store.

SHE'S A GREAT TEACHER. SHE IS VERY CLEAR. AS LONG AS YOU GO TO CLASS EVERY DAY (AND I MEAN EVERY DAY) AND PAY ATTENTION TO HER NOTES, YOU WILL PASS. IF YOU ARE STUCK, SHE IS WILLING TO HELP. SHE IS A FUNNY PERSON.
I PREVIOUSLY TOOK CHEM 201 WITH PRAVICA AT WRIGHT & ENDED UP HAVING TO WITHDRAWL CUZ HE WAS SO SHITTY & HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER TO TAKE MARIA VALENTINO. YOU WANA UNDRSTND CHEM. & GOT THE TIME & DEDICATION TO LEARN A THING OR 2? TAKE HER, SHE ISN'T EASY BUT SHE IS CLEAR & ALWAYS MAKES SURE YOU UNDERSTAND & IS NICE AS PIE. I WENT FROM A D- TO A B+
Extremely helpful! The class notes are always on the test and quizzes. Very good about being on time and keeping to the syllabus. She's working on posting grades online but you can basically calculate your grade at anytime. If you get a bad grade in her class, its pretty much your own fault.
The class was easy but not that easy, if your willing to study and memorize the PowerPoints which are a lot. I'm a bit surprised that she was rated this high in terms of easiness. More then half the class had F's and D's H.W counts as little, mostly test and quizzes. But, she is fair, and all test qtus come from the slides.
For me chemistry is difficult, but that being said, I loved Professor Valentino. She is a fantastic chemistry teacher. She knows her stuff inside and out, and is very good at explaining it.
SHE IS SUPER GOOD
She is the BEST professor i ever have. she explains so easily. if you take notes and give attention to class, you do not need a text book. even you do not need to study at home. highly recommended......
Maria Valentino is by far the best professor I've ever had. Extremely intelligent, thorough, and highly skilled at what she does. Chemistry is like a new language to me, and though the class is fast-paced, she makes sure the material is understood. Exit exam was brutal, but if you pay attention and take notes, you'll do fine. Absolutely LOVE her!
had her for PhySci 101.Very nice teacher and easy. She gives you the notes and you just have to study them for quizzes and tests which are multiple choice and true/false. But you cant be late to class if you have quizzes. Cant be absent much cuz there's group assignment points.
Dr. Valentino is an AMAZING professor. If any student has a questions she is sure to stop & explain it. Her lectures are very thorough & she explains all the labs before letting the students start. There are homeworks, quizzes, tests, and labs. She lets you drop a quiz and test. There is no extra credit but you don't need it if you attend class.
Let me tell you, I took her back in Summer of 2008. And I just got to writing a review. I still remember how great this lady is and recommend her to everyone! SO sweet, very clear, and extremely helpful. She is will be your Chem savior! And believe me because I am SO bad at Chem and still managed a high B!
GREAT TEACHER! ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I EVER HAD! EVEN THOUGH CHEMISTRY IS NOT MY THING SHE MADE IT EASY AND VERY INTERESTING! YOU HAVE TO STUDY but she makes it an awesome class!
Professor Valentino, is awesome.I learned a lot of Chem in the class due to her nice and easy manner of explaining it. I will recommend Valentino to anyone who wants to learn and comprehend.
She is such a happy peach. So unbelievably positive and that energy radiates through the classroom creating such a fun environment. She explains things down to the last decimal, and she will help you until you get everything! If you do bad, she doesn't discourage you at all but only looks on the positive side. Fantastic teacher!
I took Ms. Valentino for Phy Sci 101 and I really loved her! She's such a nice person who is concerned about the academic and personal well-being of her students. Being autistic, the class itself was not easy for me at all, but she kept on encouraging me to do well throughout the semester. Her passion for teaching is second to none. Take her class!
I took Dr. Valentino's classed based on the reviews. I am so happy I did because even though I travel an hour and a half to Wright College, she is worth the trip. She makes herself available to you. Attendance is a must because every point counts ie: labs, practice problems, quizzes and exams.
I also took this class base on the previous reviews. She is very good teacher. If you study for all quizzes and tests, you will be fine.
One of the best teachers at wright. I would strongly recommend taking her for chem. She's very hyper and passionate about teaching. Great teacher who will always help you out. I hated chemistry but now I actually like it because of her. Very clear on what she wants and honestly if you take notes and pay attention, you wont have trouble getting an A
Best teacher I have ever had. I hated chem bfor taking it with her and after I loved it because she made it seem so easy. Study for tests and you'll pass. I dont know how anyone could fail her class. Such a great and passionate teacher. Super nice and hyper. Very organized. I just loved her and still after 3 semesters she says hi in the halls.
I'm one of the rare students who got a B, as most get As. This was mainly due to unforeseen and unavoidable personal matters, which Valentino was completely sweet and understanding about. That said, I also had zero interest in chemistry. She's very clear, cheery, encouraging, and knowledgeable. The rumors are true, She's the best! Take her class!
Dr.Valentino is clear with her subject, yet complex..there are easier ways. She's good. She's a special...-3 points if you dont have goggles yet okay if no gloves :-/ quiz every week, major exam every 2. No book use, she has her own style of teaching-she will make you buy the book. Challenging class, easy if you study hard. She's very "special"...
Mrs. Valentino is an amazing teacher for Chemistry 201. She will always answer your questions for problems and with experiments. The only thing is that you need to study on your own for the quizzes and tests. That is where you need to have good study habits or a strong study group. The lectures are long but she gives us breaks every 45 minutes.
Dr. Valentino is by far the best professor I've ever had! Extremely intelligent, clear and thorough. She makes chemistry fun & although the class is fast-paced, she makes sure the material is understood. She breaks every 45mins. Always available to help. She's quirky & funny. Don't be late, pay attention & lots of writing. Absolutely love her!
She is a great teacher, especially if you have never taken chemistry before. She is thorough and very fair. She does not give extra credit but her grading system is very fair, study all her notes and quizzes and you'll do well on the test. There is no need to buy the book, her lectures are thorough (and very detailed) enough. A+++ teacher!
This teacher is a big tweak. she's funny in a weird way. she uses up every minute of class no matter what. she'll never let you out early. she's always talking (or screaming at students). she gives way to many quizzes and tests and it's all pretty tough. she also hates students coming in late or going to the restroom. attendance is a must!!!!
this class is basically her just talkin for 80 minutes straight! she never lets you out early even if shes done with the chapter. she gives quizzes and tests almost every other day and she assigns questions from each chapter. theres 15 in total! she made me by da book for nothing ;( most questions on tests we dnt even cover in class. not clear atal
If you don't understand chemistry Valentino breaks down every little thing so that you understand. Don't buy the book because her lectures are sufficient enough. She is a little corky but nice, she does like punctuality (what teacher doesn't) & she never let's you out early other than exam days and if you're done with lab. Great teacher overall!
If you failed this class, you probably made little to no effort. She gives you the power points on paper, and goes over everything in class. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. She is a little quirky, and has odd rules. But it is her class, and I had some students in this class who clearly showed no respect for the teacher. It goes two ways, folks. She is good.
The best teacher for Chemistry. She explains everything thoroughly and repetitively. Chemistry is a hard subject for most but she makes the topics as simple as possible. Not much extra-credit, but if you study, you will get an A. She assigns problems from the book for help but it's not a necessity. And her energy is great for a morning class.
I loved Maria as a chemistry teacher. First off, I hate chemistry but she made it fun and approachable. She is excellent at explaining chemistry and gives funny lectures. Don't come to class late, skip or not take notes. You need to take the lecture notes if you want to pass. Very little extra credit but her grading system is very clear. She rocks!
She's got a lot of ground to cover in this chem 201 class, and she handles it well. she's nice, and extremely helpful. She worked in industrial laboratories, very good credentials for a teacher. Doesn't grade homework, if you do it, quizzes and tests are very easy. Buy a PREVIOUS EDITION BOOK, it will save you about 70-80 percent.
Honestly, I would take Mrs. Valentino again! All her exams come from her lectures notes, which are fairly good if you need her to explain something she's willing too. She explain the material very well and demonstrates the labs you'll do that day. Buy the ACS study guide since the final isn't written by her it will help!
Her exams and quizzes come from all her PowerPoint notes which she passes out as packet. You can't fail this class; if you do you're just lazy she gives you all the notes and easy assignments. The final is written by her which has about 2-3 questions for every chapter. I like her personality and she also teaches chemistry!
I really enjoyed taking Valentino's class. she give great notes and as long as you study her notes and your past quizzes you should do great. She very funny and helpful and cares for her students. if you skip a class you'll pretty much be lost for the next one, so get notes from someone or take the class with a friend who takes good notes )
She has lots of office hours, and leaves you plenty of breathing room with easy tests so that when you take the exit exam, you simply have to pass to maintain your grade. Very good teacher, her lectures are long and verbose, but I'm sure some people needed the spoon feeding approach. Do the homework (not graded), and you'll get an A on everything.
Dr. Valentino is the best Professor I ever had! I hated Chemistry, but she made me enjoy the subject. Dr. Valentino always comes to class happy and is positive and is passionate about Chemistry! All her quizzes and exams are multiple choice. If you need help, she is there for you. The Professor writes all her notes on the board.
Chemistry is difficult and Professor Valentino was kind of all over the place, but her lectures and notes were clear. You get what you put into the class. The course was four hours long twice a week, so it was hard to focus, but she gives frequent breaks. I enjoyed her class.
I really enjoyed prof Valentino, she was extremely nice. I hated chemistry in high school and she made the class alot of fun. Labs are basically free points. But definetly study for the tests. They are the biggest part of your grade. Over all, as long as you study you will be just fine
Professor Valentino is the really caring of her students. She is one of the best chemistry teachers. She is there for ALL of her students. I would recommend to study for the final ahead of time. The quizzes are fairly easy, but the test are a bit more tough. She does not assign homework, but there is group work.
She will make Chemistry look really easy. You have to participate with your classmates which helps your work and grade
Dr. Valentino is a very knowledgeable and metilicious. Her lectures are clear and easy to follow. Loves to answer students' questions. Be prepared to take a lot of notes. HWs are not graded. Your grade will be comprised from the tests, quizzes, group works, lab and exit exam. Attendance is taken at the end of the each class.
Dr. Valentino is amazing! I haven't taken a chemistry class since junior year of high school and jumping into CHEM 201 I was nervous, but she made it easy! Recommend.
Each class is her going over a power point presentation that she also will give to you as a handout (usually about 4-7 pages). If you spend an hour studying the handouts before the tests/quizzes you should pass with at least a B. Overall the class is easy but she has a tendency of being rude to her students with a "nice" tone. Can you deal with it?
Awesome professor! Expect long hours of lecture and notes taking, but she makes it really fun and enjoyable. She loves to help her students out and has a strong desire to watch her students succeed. Would definitely take her again.
Prof Valentino is a really laid-back teacher who gives out all material you need to pass the class. She offers extra credit assignments and drops several low scores at end of semester. Expect a lot of small quizzes throughout semester. Really excited about the subject and presents with PP in class. She yells at you for leaving to pee and texting.
Dr. Valentino is one of the best professors I have every had in my life! And I already have my bachelors! She writes all the notes word for word on the board. It really helps. She is willing to sit with you in her office hours and help you really succeed! Her tests and quizzes are all MC. Labs are easy 10/10 as long as you go. Some extra credit opp
I took chem 201 with her for summer, I had thought chem would be a hard subject to get an A. However, when I take chem with Pr. Maria, it was easy. She focuses to the most important thing in each chapter. if you take all her notes, prepaid your group work, you will get an A and pass high grade with an exit test
One of the best science professors I've ever had. She is really nice and her lectures are straightforward and they give you an incite into the tests and quizzes. So show up to lecture! All the answers are handed to you before tests, so make sure to study and you'll pass.
Prof. Valentino is the best. Now, if you are like me and the only Chem you know is high school Chem then take her! She will teach you as if you have never learned chemistry and there are a lot of chances to get your grade up on time. ACS final messed me up, but overall the class is great and invest on the ACS study guide. Also, attendance matters!
Her lectures are well made to include all possible questions that could be in the test. All you have to do is look at all the lectures notes and do the practice problems from the book and you will get an A.
If youre a DAC student make sure your letter is specific, like able to predict the future specific. Otherwise if something related to your disability does happen she will deny you accommodations saying your letter doesnt state that information, despite it being on your verification forms in the office. She will belittle you for needing them also.
Professor Valentino is an excellent person. I enjoyed the class very much. Attendance is mandatory and so is homework. If you don't study you WILL NOT pass the quizzes and tests. It's a pretty straight forward class, pay attention, write notes, attend the class, study and then you'll pass. She gives a lot of extra credit as well.
It was nice to have such a positive, down to earth professor for a class like this. Even though class was tough at times, I still enjoyed going to her lectures. Best chem teacher Ive had at Wright. Also, dont buy the book, try to find it online and download it for free.
NEED TO STUDY. She drops the lowest test and quiz score. Lab is easy, group work is annoying tbh (get one wrong you get no points). Everything is points based (was 475 min to get an A) Honestly, Chemistry is not easy but she makes it bearable! An A is not impossible. I loved having her as a professor and would definitely take her again if needed.
This is an incredibly hard course, but she does her best to keep the 3.5 hour lectures upbeat and interesting. She gives plenty of example problems to study from. She offers extra credit and drops a test and a quiz.
Overall she is a very nice and caring person. The only negatives about this class is that she moved very quickly. We would be going over chapter 3 and taking the chapter 1 quiz which always had me a bit confused. During group work she pops in and leaves as soon as you give a wrong answer. You then have to wait 15-20 minutes for her to come back.
I am sure she was an amazing teacher at an in person class, but as we switched to remote learning. she has been one of the hardest teachers to work with. don't expect to find lenience about your home situation with her. If your wifi goes down during the test too bad, she tells you her wifi is working just fine.
Horrible. She did not understand that her students were having problems with her way of teaching in remote learning. When asked for help because our quiz and test scores were not good, she would tell us we aren't studying the right way. Very selfish and unprofessional. Get 4/5 on an assignment? Nope you get a 0 because it's all or nothing.
Do not, I repeat DO NOT take her class unless you're ready to suffer. I have always been an A/B student and her class completely tore me apart. She's apathetic and doesn't care about the well-being of her students. I genuinely believe she sets this class up for failure. I would rather cut off my limbs & be eaten by wolves than take her class again.
I would never take another class with her. She moved very quickly and did not listen to the feedback of her students. We started with 30 people, by the end of the semester half had dropped the class. She is not understanding of home situations or problems that students have. Everyone did horrible on the final but she refused to take any fault.
Dr. Valentino is the best chemistry professor at Wright College. She cares enough to always go through the concepts students do not understand outside the class. Online learning is challenging though and chemistry should never be offered online, but this professor will make sure you have a good foundation for any other chem classes youll take.
Horrible. Thats all I can say. She does not know how to teach online. I honestly fell behind on purpose because I couldn't keep up with her. She bounces all over the place, horrible grader, attitude is bad too. I dropped this class.
I wish I would've listened to the negative reviews on her because the overall rating was soooo deceiving. She has a really nasty attitude and seems to be looking for problems. She comes off as sweet and caring, but once one thing ticks her off she will openly call you out and it is very unprofessional. Do not take this class if you move slow.
Please do not take this class if you have other options, especially if you're online. I think she's a good person, but the way she handles her class is horrible. She moves through content disrespectfully fast. Labs (7 total) and chapter assignments (13 total) are required to be done in groups. 8 quizzes, 4 exams, 1 final. She curved the final.
Pro. Valentino had a difficult time being flexible and adapting to remote learning. Her expectations of the class were unreasonable for ex. if you need to miss class on a homework or lab day then you get a zero. End of story. Since both are weekly assignments you can NOT miss class. She doesn't give enough time for tests and they are VERY hard.
Took during summer (8 weeks.) Not nearly enough time to study. NO matter what you have to be in class for labs etc or you wont get points. 4 hour lectures 4x a week with 3 5 min breaks. If you struggle with chem this class is way too fast paced, especially if you have many responsibilities outside of class. She's a kind person, but in no way lenient
She times her quizzes with 10 questions in 25 minutes which is not enough time. If you pass the time limit the rest of the questions you answer will not count. Not a lot of extra credit. Each group work is 2 points if you get 1 answer wrong you won't get the 2 points. It is all or nothing.
Prof. Vaentino's grading scale is very strange. There's groupwork and labs which are all done with random classmates. If you get one question wrong you get no points. You also can't miss lab days (wed) or GW days (mon). She also does not round grades or give any sort of extra time for assignments for whatever reason. She's not really accomidating.
professor Valentino was very passionate about her class considering it was 4 hours long. However, her tests and quizzes were hard and u had to study a lot. This isn't a class where you can have an easy A. She was nice and posted the quizzes with the work to see where you could have gone wrong. Labs and group work were kind of annoying.
I've had some awful chemistry teachers, so Professor Valentino was a blessing. I found her teaching style to be so much easier to understand and actually understood chemistry for the first time in my life. Make sure you attend every class, spend extra time practicing concepts you don't understand, and you'll be fine.
Dr. Valentino was an amazing professor. Took her class during covid, so it was 100% online therefore I can't speak to her labs. She gave us LOTS of opportunity to do practice problems during class and gave us instant feedback. She had very helpful handouts and thoroughly explained the material. Very encouraging and kind!!
shes amazing as a lecturer and as a teacher, and i really did learn a good bit, but dont expect to pass if you miss classes, no matter if you have a good reason or not. chronic illness doesnt matter in her eyes though, and she doesnt allow makeups. very tough and just tells you to do stuff you ALREADY DO to study. if you struggle, get a tutor fast.
She's a great teacher but you need to be a great student. No required hw, so the whole grade is in class. She's strict tho: you need to show up, if you miss something she won't allow you make it up. If you need accommodations she is NOT a good fit for you. But if you can listen, her class is easy! Oh, and no formula sheets, you have to memorize.
I just took her class in spring of 2023 and got an A. She was nice but of course she does what she is required to do. which is teach the material. There was a lot of material through the semester but if you are on top of her quizzes, you are good. everything she brings on her exams and quizzes is from the lectures. so just pay attention.
Her reviews are deceiving, I know at least 7 people who've dropped her class because of her horrible attitude towards students. She is not understanding AT ALL towards people's personal problems and situations, so don't expect her to make any exceptions for you. Take chem 1 with a different professor, you won't regret it.
I recommend this professor if you catch up quickly because if you don't, you're going to spend a lot of time studying as at one point quizzes and exams are coming at you every week so make sure you're prepared.
Dr. Valentino makes chemistry bearable and easy to follow, especially for a summer semester. Her class had clear standards. You put in the effort from there by showing up to lectures both in person and online, labs, studying, and meeting with a tutor. Her class made me a better student for my last year of nursing school, especially the math.
Loved her class, amazing lectures and explanations. There are quizzes almost every week and a test every 2-3 weeks, so study well. She is extremely passionate about her class and goes above and beyond to help her students succeed. She is a professor that will push you and does not practice leniency. Put in the work and you'll do well.
She has great PowerPoints + resources but doesn't know how to teach. She tosses out straight info at super speed while lecturing 3 chapters past the upcoming quiz. You waste 8 hrs/wk just to then self study. If attendance wasn't mandatory, I would've done better through self study alone. Only the great students liked her. Good about accommodations.
Professor Valentino is a tough but effective teacher. While attendance is mandatory, her lectures are engaging and the material is manageable with diligent study. unstuck study and practice problems proved invaluable for acing this class.
Maria is a good professor when it comes to lectures and explaining experiments. However, don't expect her to understand you on a personal level. If you are struggling and explain to her your situation, she will see your problems as nonsense and even suggest you “quit your job” to prioritize her class. Take chem with a different professor.
She doesnt like to let her students do basic things like use scratch paper or periodic tables for exams. how on earth are you supposed to do a chemistry exam with no scratch paper? she pretends to be nice but if you miss class bc you were literally in the hospital she'll tell you that "you made the choice not to show up" & wont let you retake exams
Professor Valentino is overly enthusiastic. She drops your lowest test and quiz grades. Studying is easy because the lectures questions are exactly the same on quizs and tests just formatted a little different but same approcah to solve. Overall I would recommend this class to anyone its all about being able to remeber the material to get an A.
Very charming personality but strict about principles. Do not miss a class because she gives no favors.
