Best damn math teacher you could ever get. This my second semester with her and she rocks. I actually enjoy going to my math class and yes she makes it fun and worthwhile. She definately makes sure you know what your doing by the end of a semester and her teaching habits and skills are at highest peak of any teacher/professor I've had in a while.

I agree. She's absolutely the best! I was worried that I would fail Stats, but the minute I walked in class and sat down, she had this big smile on her face, made you feel soo comfortable. I had questions about the quiz once, and she literally did the whole thing for me (explaining the process at the same time). I definitely recommend her.

I took her class in Nature Coast while I was a DE student.Let's just say I don't regret it. Shes really helpful and tries to make every1 feel confortable in her class. All in all, math is not the easiest subject, but she really does whatever she can so you can get whats going on. If you put from your part she'll definitely put from hers!

she is the best teacher in the entire world for math. She always made time for her students she piad her babysitter extra all the time to help her students get ready for an exam she went out of her way and above and beyond what are expected of teachers. She was awesome!!!!!!!

She is an absolute wonderful teacher, but I did not like the way she assigned work. Theres about 50 math problems a night for homwork, and if you dont do one, you get it all wrong which i think is unfair. Way to much homework, and I dont like taking the tests out of class, because then you learn new things before you take the test, and get confused

Before I had her, I knew nothing about math, I was scared to take any college level math. BUT now, NO PROB!!! I thank her so much for all of her help and dedication to all of her classes. I couldnt ask for a better instructor! Anyone who asks me who to take for any math, I sat Witherell! Without her, i couldnt have made it!!!

Classes were interesting. I really had a firm understanding of math after I left this class. If you really want to learn, take her! Dont think you cant do homework or not show up to class though. Will teach you the WHY behind math, not just HOW. Makes learning fun!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? If you have a hard time understanding algebra she is the teacher for you. She is passionate about the subject and her students. Ms. Witherell is an awesome teacher! I took statistics with her last semester and this year im taking precalc with her. She does everything in her power to help you succeed in her class. Befoer her classes i didn't understand a thing about math. She definitely is one of the greatest teachers at phcc by far.

She writes all of her own notes so they are easy to understand, she doesn't just teach from the book. I HIGHLY recommend her, I wish I could have taken her for college algebra.

You are crazy not to take Prof. Witherell. I took her class by chance for my last math class and she is the best. She absolutely makes math easier to understand. You can't dread her class, she makes learning easy.

I took her statistics class because I had attempted it twice somewhere else and dropped it both times. She is by far the best instructor that I've ever had. She not only knows her subject, but can teach it well also. She is extremely helpful, going out of her way if you need extra help. If you have to take statistics take this class !!!!

She is sooo awesome! She is very descriptive in her teaching and wants to do all she can to make sure you reach your potential! At first i was intmidated by the workload, but it was sooo worth it! She is very easygoing and goes out of her way to help in concepts you do not understand. I SOO Recommend her as a professor! I got 1 99% A!

She is an excellent math teacher. She is always willing to help her students. I hated stats but she always made learning fun and easy. Lots of homework and take home quizzes but it pays off during your tests. Always do your test reviews because the tests are very similiar. I made a B in the class.

I would recommend this teacher to everyone. Math has always been hard for me and this was my second time taking stats. She is always available for questions and I loved attending her classes. She involves her students and brings it to a level we can understand. Important, attend class, complete HW and quizes.

Stats & coll algebra. Best teacher ever!! So funny/cooky. I loved both her classes! It's honest work, so you gotta study and ask questions. Such a good teach, can almost guarantee a good grade. Lots of hw,only classes i knew that didnt use MyMathLab. I miss the traditional pencil/paper concept. Aced both.

Also you need to buy a calculator for either class. TI-30XA for college algebra, which is only about $20, but you can also get a TI-89 graphing calculator which is expensive (about $110), but you need it for stats so if you plan to take stats after algebra, you might as well buy it ahead of time, and not be stuck w 2 calculators after it all ends

Best teacher ever, I would never suggest taking Stats with ANY other professor if you have the choice to take her course.

Best teacher I've ever had. I hated math before I took it with her, and now I look forward to it. So helpful, even if only one student has a problem, she'll stop where she is and go over it until they understand. Also, she's hilarious! This is my 4th semester with her and am sad that I don't have any more semesters with her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Awesome professor! she is nutty and makes math a lot of fun! she taught me easier faster ways to solve mathematical problems that stuck with me. I used to be horrible in math but now that i understand it, i really enjoy it and the formulas are so easy to remember.

As an adult learner returning to school after 20 years, I put off taking classes because of my poor performance in math. I read with interest how students love this instructor, and I understand why. She is a GREAT teacher! She works with you and really takes the time. She has given me the ability and confidence to continue to take math classes.

She is a great teacher. She may assign a great deal of homework, but it is for your benefit. She will sit down and try to explain things and she even responds to emails on weekends. Almost impossible to fall asleep on her. -CJD

Mrs. Witherell is a great teacher, she made math fun again. She's really funny too. She is VERY helpful and really wants you to ask questions. She also makes pencasts of the class so you watch them if you missed anything. Mrs. Witherell > than other teachers. If you do the homework and study and show up early for Q&A you will get an A.

You're not just a student number in Professor Witherell's class. She takes an interest in your progress and knows exactly where your mistakes are. She teaches the way it should be taught - with your goals and success in mind. Thank you Prof. Witherell for getting me through my math classes!

Great teacher, very helpful, very knowledgable. Word of warning if you don't have hours and hours to spend on this class don't take this professor. Ridiculous amount of HW, like 2 or 3 hours and over 100 questions per assingment. Many many HW assingments, very harsh grading.

She is the best prof. at PHCC! Hands down!! I would take her class over and over again if I could.

Be warned. If you have a loaded schedule, then the amount of homework she gives out will be too much. It is a shame because her lectures are so good, the amount of homework she gives out is way too much.

About the homework comments - yeah, there is a lot of homework BUT that is the way you practice what you learn in class. It's also the way you find out what you DIDN'T understand in class. Prof. Witherell is a dedicated and effective teacher. SHE is the reason I will have an A in this class, and got an A in College Algebra too. AWESOME TEACHER!!

Mrs Witherell is an amazing teacher. She has a passion for math. I honestly thought I was going to drop stats but she help me understand each lesson. Just do your homework its for your benefit. Highly recommend.

Do not take a many other classes with this course. Homework isn't that bad, but you need to study a lot in general to fully comprehend the subject. She is EXTREMELY helpful, pen-casts, she is there before & after class, even online, she sets up study groups for us. This teach needs a medal for caring about her students. She is always there to help.

I can't praise Ms. Witherell enough. She is tireless in her devotion to her students. She tutors before and after class; during her lunch hour and on her off time. She puts up pen casts of every lesson and went to the trouble of setting up a program so that we could have virtual class hours on the weekends. Best instructor I've ever had.

She is outstanding. She will do anything to help her students. If you're weak at math, or need improvement- take her class. She sends out a lot of e-mails, and assigns a lot of HW and take home quizzes. It is virtually impossible to do everything that she wants you to do if you have a family and work. But, without it you can easily still get an A.

I only experienced this professor via videos from MathLab and I'm afraid that I will never progress in math without her. She has an awesome knack for teaching us just what we need to know to navigate through a problem and, with the practice of repetition combined with her repeated methods, understanding and proficiency follows. I love math now.

I wasn't too sure about this hybrid class, math not being my favorite subject, but this professor is truly engaging! I have only experienced her through the MyLabsPlus videos. She teaches what you need to know, leaves out the confusing elements, but then ties it all back in at the end. I love math now because of her. Pick her!

Hands down, the best teacher I've ever had. She went above and beyond the call of duty by setting up private tutoring sessions to group sessions. She was ALWAYS available to us to help us through what could have been a challenging course for some. I highly recommend this teacher and would take her again if given the opportunity to do so.

She is a great teacher. Just expect a Lot of homework! She gives a crazy amount of work and is an extremely hard grader. If you get one problem wrong she gives you half credit. She teaches up till the final, which sucks!! The class is extremely time consuming. She is extremely helpful and wants you to understand. I would not take her again though.

There is a simple key to passing: understand HW. Do NOT do the HW by scribbling answers. HW is only worth 5% of your grade for a reason. She GIVES you all HW answers step by step in online videos. The point is to UNDERSTAND what she's giving you. Go to class early when she's going over the how-to's of the answers. It will make all the difference.

I failed math the first time around, this was my second time around and I passed it with flying colors.

She is by far the best professor I've ever had. She explains everything and makes every attemp to make sure you learn. She cares that you are prepared. She will change your life and make you love math. She spends more time invested in the class than anyone. I couldn't respect her more than I already do. She is incredible.

A lot of HW, few tests. If you miss 1 or 2 classes in a row you will fall behind. Requires a lot of home time to watch pencasts (videos) of lessons etc. Is there for you & truly wants you to pass. Doesn't tolerate disruptions, will call you out on them. I loved her as a teacher but I struggled in her class, I would highly recommend her though!

Witherell posts class lectures online, she stays before & after class, has office hours, & hosts online meetings on weekends. If you don't pass this class it's because you did not try. A lot of effort is required, but Witherell is there every step of the way, do what she tells you to do and you will be successful, GUARANTEED! Best Math Prof Ever.

If you suck at math, this is the teacher for you! I was online, but for this math class that's ok. She explains everything so clearly there's no way you won't understand. There's a good amount of homework, but due dates are spaced a few weeks apart. 3 chances for every test. This is great if you're not amazing at math, but good at critical thinking

This was my very first online class and was my first time enjoying math. She wants you to pass and will do anything to help. If you email her with any questions she will respond with good feedback either in a few minutes or hour. Of course there is HW, Quizzes and Tests but she makes them easy. I struggle with math and Pathways was a great class.

Ms. Witherell is the only math teacher I have had in my entire school career that makes math not suck. She makes everything as simple as possible so her students can grasp what she is teaching. She is always available when her students need help with a subject.

Super CARING! Her tests and homework assignments are stress-heavy if you don't study properly. Ask her questions! I've taken two classes with her (Pathways to Math and Liberal Arts) and got a B+ in both classes (math is my worst subject). Definitely recommend her! Math certainly isn't a walk in the park, but she helped me understand the material :)

Shes's an AMAZING teacher! Her enthusiasm about her class is conveyed to every student. Very interesting and I always learn a lot in her class! So much homework, but it really helps to understand the concepts.

I passed the class with a 92. Do all the work, show up to class, and just generally try in her class and you'll be good. She will help you in any way she can within reason and she grades fairly. She did offer a few points of extra credit throughout the semester as well.

She was an amazing teacher! Most math classes I've taken I have gotten a C, but with her, I got a 90! Her love for math really helps I believe. She made the class laugh multiple times every lecture! There is a lot of homework, but the way she does it really helps you understand the material. Best teacher I've ever had.

Absolutely the best teacher to have to math if you are just getting back into college after a long break. She records all her lectures and posts them for you to follow along with if you need help with homework.
