For an online lab, this class wasn't too difficult as we used simulations to do experiments in groups. As long as you participate, which is a grade, and pay attention to the class, you will do fine.

Professor Marialejandra Martinez Franco is an amazing teacher. She gives good feedback when needed. Participation matters in this class, she is persnickety about what she wants especially when it comes to the camera position during Zoom calls and tests. Overall, 9.5/10 I hope her pillow is cold on both sides when she flips it.

This course is not any easy course. You have to work for your grade. Show up to class, do the homework and quizzes, be sure to follow testing rules to the T. Use all of the resources that the college offers, such as tutoring services and you should be fine. All in all the professor takes her time to make sure you understand the material.

She is a wonderful faculty, Due to summer classes being so short time, i had a bit difficulty coping up with the pace because a lot of topics cramming through within 7 weeks and if i had more time, i would definitely understand better. She always was very enthusiastic about making all the students understand and very helpful.

The course mostly focuses on exams, quizzes, participation, and homework and there are lots of opportunities to get extra credit. It was a 6 week course, so the professor tried to simplify things for the class. The material is difficult but if you attend every class meeting and take good lecture notes, you will be able to pass the class.

Professor Franco did a great job instructing our Physics with Calc class and I really hope she will be available by the time I need to register for Physics 2 with calc at PBSC. There were not too many questions on the homework which made it easier to master the concepts for each unit and refine focus for the tests. If you work hard, you will pass!

You'll get a group assigned for the semester, u are all going through the same so don't be shy with ur teammates and you'll see how fun the class turn to be. The class is not HARD but you need to put some time into it (yes lab reports I'm talking about you). Professor is just FUN! She can look scary at the beginning, but she is actually rlly chill.

I enjoyed taking lab with this professor. She made it relatively easy even with some labs being confusing. There were a couple of quizzes, but they were based on the lectures related to the lab, but grades were mainly based on lab reports and participation. Super nice teacher. Really cares about the students and wants them to do well. She understands how stressful higher learning can be and has a lot of empathy with the students. In terms of coursework, it is only one lab report a week. The lab report is super easy as long as you take your time and follow the steps provided in the canvas notes.

I feel she does try to be fair with students and is happy to help those who want to learn and participate. At first, she appeared a bit intimidating and I didn't think I was going to like the way her class is structured, but after some time, I appreciated how things were done and you'll see she really does care for her students. For the first or second labs they can be pretty confusing in terms of what she wants for answers but just keep a copy of the lab submissions guidelines and it'll be way easier. The work isn't difficult and neither are the quizzes since they aren't intensive math wise. Also remember to do the reading, she asks.

Don't worry too much about the labs/quizzes, she is not a harsh grader and the quizzes are very straightforward. Participate in class, she wants you to know the concepts/be engaged. She's very concerned about cheating so you might be made to type some things.

Best professor for Physics

The lab was fully online, so experiment simulators were used. Try to read every experiment procedure before class so that you understand what to do in class. The homework is easy, however it will take some time to type everything out.

She is an amazing professor who made such a hard subject like physics easy. The class is well structured you just gotta prepare before attending class to know what going on.

Get ready to write! This class is tedious, but it's not that bad. Her grading is fair, but make sure to understand significant figures thoroughly. Lowest grade is dropped in each section and there's a lot of assignments to help your grade. And make sure to participate and read before class. Staying quiet during lecture will hurt your grade!

Professor Franco is a great teacher, she has no problem slowing things down if she feels like the class is struggling with something. And she gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit. She does expect active participation and will also grade you on that.

This professor does a great job explaining complicated concepts and encourages questions and participation. obviously cares about her students and doesn't have particularly complicated tests or homework as long as you do the reading.

Her lectures are posted after class which is very helpful post-lecture but this isn't a class to skip just because it is posted, attendance is mandatory and you must be participating during class. Not an overload on homework (perfect amount IMO)... just study for exams and you should be good!

Professor Franco, explains the topic well for everyone to understand the lecture. Honestly one of the best professors, Physics is not "rocket science" but is hard, you just need to read the notes, and be active with extra credits, and quizzes and you'll be fine. One of my favorite teachers of all time. I hope I get to take her for physics 2. The class is bit a of a drive for me but well worth it. I wish all my professors were like her. Genuinely enjoyed the class, learned a lot of real world application in my view.

During the class, the teacher solves several problems from the textbook and explains them in an easy-to-understand way. Lectures were fast but with a combination of going over notes and textbook everything starts to make sense. professor is patient so don't be afraid to ask question if you don't understand. homework and lecture notes that are given will help you with the exams.

Conceptual quizzes are 20%, and you take them before the lecture. She encourages questions, and you can tell she cares about her students, but she is tough.

Professor Francois an incredible Earth Science instructor who makes complex topics clear and engaging. Her passion, use of real-world examples, and interactive visuals make every lecture exciting. Professor Franco is a great resource for precisely applying physics. You have to have a pretty strong understanding of the concepts already-make sure you put your best foot forward in the paired lecture course.

Professor Martinez-Franco is a great professor who truly wants you to learn and be able to discuss the topics you're learning about. This is not a hard class but it requires you to be on top of your game with doing the labs correctly with your own knowledge and taking the quizzes. Highly recommend!

10/10 Experience Would take again for any class, Cares about your grade and very accommodating. Be open about any problems and she will work with you. My 2nd time taking physics and the teacher completely makes or breaks a class and she made it for me.

She also checked in with us during the middle of the semester to discuss our current grade and how we can improve if we need to.

Professor Franco is a great teacher, would definitely take her class again. Though, all of the experiments are explained very fast and you could easily get lost sometimes. Some of the experiments are pretty difficult if you're not that great at physics. But, if you have any questions you could comfortably ask her and she cares about her students.

The lab is a lot easier then the lecture and is pretty straightforward. There isnt as much learning as the lecture but professor always makes sure you know what you need to do and is always willing to help.

Amazing Professor! She was incredibly helpful during the labs and had a clear grading rubric. She gives feedback on lab reports and allows two submission attempts to fix any mistakes. There are weekly lab reports and every two weeks there is a quiz, which she provides a study review for. Gives many opportunities for extra credit.

I love Prof. Franco, she is very passionate and seems to know alot about physics. She explains the lab lectures very well and she has a grading criteria that is easy to follow. It's an easy class if you do the lab assignments that are due each week and take the online respondus quizzes. Participation is also important if you are in her class.

Really helpful person. You do need to do the assignments and homework in order to get a better understanding of the material but she makes the work very easy to navigate.

Overall, she was a good professor. She will help you and answer questions you may have if you reach out to her. If you follow her instructions on the lab reports, you will get A's on them. The quizzes were a little confusing with the way some of the questions were worded.

Professor Franco's professional abilities are a 10/10. The teaching style in her classroom is thorough and easy to learn if you (the student) wish to participate, understand, and ask questions. Very funny, never wasted our time. Lab reports are extremely thorough and you have to show looots of calculations which gets tiring week after week. She's a very fair grader though. Quizzes were surprisingly difficult, if you aren't someone with a strong conceptual understanding they'll kill your grade. Take her only if you actually like physics!

Great! she works with you when she sees you are failing, never wastes your time. her class work isn't terrible it's just assignments through pearson. A test every few weeks, i recommend not missing class because participation is technically your attendance for the day. If you're not there it's a 0 and she adds points if you raise your hand in class

Participation is essential in this class, and five quizzes were 25% of your grade. It's all conceptual, so understand the material before taking it. The lab reports are 60% of your grade, and getting a bad grade is very hard. She gives good feedback to everyone. The professor cared about her students and ensured everyone knew what to do.

If you take notes during the lectures and study using the practice exams for each chapter, this class will be super easy.

Professor Franco will encourage you to do so and "come prepared" so it's not the first time you see the material, and you will be asked questions. She is an amazing professor, and a great explainer. If you struggle with math, she is the one you should take.

Professor Franco is one of the best professors I've had , I failed my 1st exam and stepped out to speak to me one on one and I've passed every exam since , she's very attentive with her students & is hilarious which makes the class more lightweight. This physics professor is outstanding. They break down challenging material in a way that's easy to follow, which makes learning much simpler. They are patient, approachable, and always ready to clarify any doubts, creating a comfortable space for students.

She is a great professor and truly cares about students learning / passing. The tests aren't crazy hard and are about 50-60% similar to the practice tests. She offers extra credit for every exam and gives credit on exams for showing your work. Overall awesome professor with a great attitude, I would take her again for any class.

My only critique for this professor is that she tends to rush through the lectures sometimes which makes it a little hard to catch up, but she makes it very easy to find ways to understand the material. Some days she would do reviews, assign extra credit, and is also available outside of class for any extra help you may need.

The class is honestly very easy. The work is pretty repetitive so by the time the test comes around, you're familiar with all of the material. You are provided with the paper copy of the notes she goes over in class; you just have to write down what she does and comprehend. Printed formula sheets are also provided for tests. Only as easy as physics with calc can be, but enough time is given to actually learn the material. Didn't need the formula sheets for the first two tests but was nice

Kind and engaging. She tends to gloss over key concepts that you need to know. She tries to make sure you understand what she is doing in class. I would suggest to her that she doesn't write out the answer to problems before class and solves them in real time as sometimes she skips steps that seem obvious to her but we don't know how she got there.

My advice is to review the practice test no matter what, the quizzes are hard, so study, and make sure you're participating (whether that be definitions, or questions in general). Great prof overall, she clearly knows her stuff and is willing to help out whenever needed. I have not had a professor who is as approachable and helpful. The material can be a little rough to get, but always ask questions during lectures and/or after class. The biggest piece of advice I can give is to participate in class and study for the test.

She's an amazing teacher! She really cares about all her students. She can be tough at times but it's more of a tough love. She is very helpful, provides extra credit and etc. Sometimes she will see the confusion on your face in a lecture and check on you just to make sure your keeping along.

If you love astronomy and organization take this class. As someone with a full time job, two kids, a strict gym schedule and two other classes, I easily passed this class and learned so much.

Relative easy class if you do all the homework assignments and the tests have basically the same questions as the practice test, so as long as you do the work assigned you should do well in the class. Though I will say there is a grade every class for participation, which is simply answer or asking a question during class.

Prof Franco made me enjoy Physics. She is an amazing Professor who truly cares for her students. Her material is extremely easy to follow, and she explains everything in a simple manner. Hw and exams have the same questions & answers it's so easy to past!! I love science now because of her class. I'd take her for every science class if I could. There weOnly four exams and the lowest exam gets dropped. She takes her time to teach the material so everyone understands it.

You get many extra credit opportunities some from the homework. There isn't too much homework, but I would say it is harder than the exams. Meaning the exams are easy.

She doesn't waste time on lecturing, but you can always ask questions on things that you're stuck on because she'll make sure you understand before proceeding so don't hesitate and ask. 'Dumb questions' do not exist in her classroom, so ask any because that also includes to your participation grade.
