She is great. I enjoyed the class and made an "A". She likes for things to be typed and neat. Everything we read was great and the discussion where awesome.

Easy, funny, and nice teacher. I wrote all my papers the night before and made a high B in the class. With a little effort it won't be hard to get an A.

She is a great professor. I had her for English Composition, and I did really well. I am taking her again for Great Books II. She is really helpful and generally enjoyable.

Fun class, even at 8:00 in the morning. She cancels class if u ask, and talks about everything besides english comp. Very good teacher though, says exactly what she expects of your paper, and is willing to help you with it if you ask.

Wonderful lady- she loves her job and life, which is really rare. Get her for an 8:00, she's not about morning classes and she'll cancel half of them!

Tests are tricky, but something gained easily isn't worth having!! Read the literature and then read it again! When you have risen to the "A" standard, you've learned something!

Her midterm was EXTREMELY hard! She put the tiniest details on there! She's a very nice lady, a little eccentric, but still nice!

She's a great teacher. The other English teachers I've had here have been extremely boring, but she always finds a way to make class interesting. She doesn't grade her papers too bad either. I'd recommend taking her. It definatly breaks the monotony of my other classes.

Her midterm is HARD. She asks questions about names and little details that you probably would not pick up on; however, her class is interesting and she is a really funny and nice lady.

Dr. Carcache is Amazing! She likes for you to have "out of the classroom" classes to work on your paper(basically NO CLASS for the day)... She is not strict on Attendence for the most part, and She loves her job. Grades papers pretty tough, but will work with you! TAKE HER!

She is such a cute, firendly teacher! She tries to make class interesting. Her tests are very hard, but passable if you read and re-read the material. Just go to class and highlight her quotes. She really is an amazing person, and very helpful. She loves her job and cares about her students.

Very cool teacher, her class is very easy to follow, but you really have to pay attention to minor details (ex. who wore what lipstick). Dr. Carcache is entertaining and keeps a good spirit in the class. Her class was not as stressful as my previous English classes. Just be sure to read material.

good teacher, go to class, she doesnt really care if you go or not, but she explains what should be on the papers in class. she really grades tough. hottest 50 year old i have ever seen. Unless your a good writer, this is not a blow off class.

professor carcache was a good teacher who was the first to challenge my writing style. i learned alot from her and she was very helpful. she made class fun so it wasn't such a hassle to go to and i recommend coming to her class bc she explains what she is looking for in your paper and if you listen and include the class info. you will do fine.

Take Carcache if you're good with memorization of little facts. The class is fun, laid back, and there are no daily quizzes. The mid-term and final exams, however, are ridiculously hard. If you can remember obscure details like what was on the table in the pigeon house, feel free to take her.

Dr. Carcache is a great teacher! Her classes were alot of fun, and really made you think. She explains what shes looking for in the papers,a nd gives plenty of time to do them. She is always willing to help and overall its a good class!

i looooooooove dr. carcache!! she is the cutest 50 year old ever. her classes are so spontaneous and she lets you think for yourself and she gives u plenty of freedom with the assignments. her class was like a breath of fresh air. dont listen to the pple who think she is crazy- if u keep an open mind you will get alot out of her.

most liberal teacher i have ever had! makes you think that you are doing well, but your not! No other grades other than papers. Laid back and do nothing other than listen to her rant and rave about her personal life and oriental medicine. pointless to go to class and unorganized! The first C of my life.

She is so entertaining to listen to in class. She tells a lot of interesting stories in class and even though she takes attendance the first couple classes, she eventually stops and never really FA's anyone. But she's really nice and funny.

She's probably one of the best English teachers I've ever had. Yes she gets off subject easily, but its always worth hearing what she has to say. There was never a dull moment. She also makes the reading assignments so much more interesting by the way she analyzes things. I came out of that class having learned a lot about literature and myself.

Dr. carchae is a very interesting woman, she has a huge personality and is a very hard grader. I worked hard on my essays and got C's. It helps if you do your essay ahead of time because she will help you with it before it is due! Class is easy because she gets off topic and the conversations end up being hilarious and random....

Dr. Carcache is a tiny woman with a giant personality. She always has something to say and gets off subject easily, but that's what made the class so interesting. She's always willing to help, so if you let her proof-read your papers before turning them in, you should get a good grade.

Dr. Carcache was the best, most helpfulness professor. When you ask a question, she looks you in the eye and makes you feel as if you are the only student in the class. She is totally awesome! Would recomend her to any student. Hope to eventually take another class with her as my professor!

Dr. Carcache is the BOMB. I didn't have one of my papers ready by the time it was due, so I showed it to her and asked if I could work on it more and give it to her the next day, and she told me just to bring it in NEXT WEEK! She will stay after class for half an hour to help you if you need it. If you like writing, you will love this class.

Extremely easy English teacher. You have to write 5 essay's all year, and the last one is an in-class essay. In order to get a A in her class, just spend a few hours writing your paper, and your good.

Koo-Koo-Koo-Koo. She's out there but I like that so she's okay in my book. She talks a lot, and she grades pretty hard on her papers but she helps you out alot. Will pretty much write your paper for you if you ask for her help. I suck at writing and received a B in her class.

Great teacher. Doesn't have unreasonable reading assignments and makes every story very entertaining. If you don't blow it off, the papers are easy; however, the midterm and final are pretty challenging (small random quotes and confusing IDs). Overall a great world lit teacher. Def recommend.

She is an amazing teacher and an amazing woman. I love writing and I easily make As on my worst papers, however, in her class I was challenged. She made me a better writer. She is very understanding of situations and very very helpful. I hope I can get her for World Lit. Take her she is a doll!

I LOVE HER!! She is a wonderful teacher. I have learned a lot about literature and life from her. She does challenge you to learn and write will but this is a university, the professors should expect a lot from you. I would take her class again in a heart beat!

Papers aren't too complicated either, although she grades them a little harshly. But if you write at a college level you'll be okay.

Definitely take this class! I'm not really into literature, but she makes it fun. She is super sweet and tries her best to help us and not give too much reading. Attendance isn't required at all but she will make you want to go. I just went to class most of the time and made an A without studying much. She's also got a lot of funny stories.

Carcache is awesome. She really loves the literature she teaches and gets students involved by explaining it well. She also goes on these crazy rants about everything, and gets off topic easily. Her papers are easy, but her tests you REALLY have to study for. One question was, "Explain the significance of the following: Walls."

Fantastic lady. She is really interesting, not mandatory classes, interesting lectures, but receiving an A is very unlikely. She keeps her bell curve at a solid C. You really work hard on your essays for a B. That being said, I would take her again if it wasn't that difficult.

She is really entertaining, small details she shares from her life are pretty funny. This year we had one half paper and one full, with a midterm and a final. The papers were graded tough and the tests were very nit picky - hard. This is coming from someone who read and took excellent notes. Don't know why she makes her class hard to get an A in.

Marian Carcache is one of the coolest English teachers I have ever had. She is a bit of an odd ball but that doesn't even matter because she is so great. I failed the midterm, bad, and still got a B in the class so don't let the midterm get you down. If you actually read the stories you won't have any problem at all.

By far one of my favorite teachers at Auburn. There were 4 papers plus the final. She loves writing that is clear and concise! The class barely met as a whole becuase she splits into groups. I was already a good writer but she was still helpful. She genuinely wants to get to know the students and loves to have conversations with the class.
