On day one she will inform you that she has achieved elite status with her multiple bachelor's degrees and of course her PhD. These are all impressive achievements. My problem with her is that she will hold her students to unrealistic expectations. I felt that she was gading my assignments to the same level as she was while working towards her PhD.
She is for sure the hardest grader I've had for any class. She treats the class as a graduate class and expects your work to be at that standard. Follow exactly what she wants in a paper otherwise, you won't get a great grade. Would recommend dropping her class
Absolutely horrible teacher. You can follow the rubric and she would still fail you. How in the heck does a person that labels every section of a discussion board fail the and provides peer reviewed data fail a discussion board, which is mainly your opinion that you support with accredited research and she reported me for plagiarism when I cited
Teacher provided feedback on each assignment and grades within 24 hours.
The professor has clear requirements and provides those on day 1. She gives a great deal of feedback. If you need help, she answers emails within a few hours and helps alot. She will make you a better writer and expects you to do your work.

The professor gives information up front to let you know what the expectations are and is very clear in that information. She does follow the requirements for each assignment and the rubrics. The professor was in the classroom every day and left messages both in the discussion forum and in the messaging system to check in with me. I appreciated that and appreciated that I always received a response when I asked a question.
I really enjoyed the class,. even though there were only two students in the classroom. The professor understood when I had issues at home and worked with me, contacting me daily to see if I needed anything. She made sure I made it through the class.
Dr. Leerburger kept in touch with me every day, checking in to make sure I understood the requirements that week, and reminding me of due dates, which really helped alot.
We had several in the class who continually attacked the prof in discussions which disrupted the class. I did fine and found that the prof provided helpful comments on my work and worked with me to help me improve.
The teacher gives you expectations when the class starts and has alot of information in the attachment. If you follow that you do fine. gives feedback with examples.
The teacher gave grades and comments by the next day and provided explanations of what you needed to do each week.
Remember to hand work in on time and if you are going to be late, to talk with the teacher. Prof sticks to school requirements, but is lenient if you talk with her. Gives alot of feedback in writing.
Several in the class were pretty obnoxious in the discussions and did not like that they got bad grades, but they also didn't do their work and said so. Prof was fair and answered all discussions for everyone. Gave alot of feedback that really helped me.

Prof provides expectations at the start of class so pay attention to those. She uses those in graded and tells you what she is looking for.
I have had this professor for two classes. She is consistent with comments and expectations and makes those clear up front.
Agree with other comments. The professor gave clear requirements and feedback and explained those in each assignment.
If you read through the announcements you will see all the requirements. The professor is up front about those and does use the rubris.
I had some trouble with one of the assignments and the teacher allowed me to do a rewrite, which I appreciated.
Some of the assignments were confusing and I had to reach out to the prof multiple times for help. She was always there, answered quickly, and gave good points to help me.

I had some issues at home during the class. Prof was helpful and gave me extra time to get work done which I appreciated.
I have yet to have a professor who grades by the next day and gives direct feedback. That really helped me!
The class had a lot of information and had papers and discussions each week that were graded. The teacher gave a lot of feedback and was clear about expectations and requirements.
The course was demanding but the teacher answered any questions I had and was quick to get back in touch with me on messenger. I had no issues contacting him and getting responses.
I didn't like the group projects but the professor worked with me when other students in the class did not work out and did not do their work.
The course was hard and demanding but that's expected I guess at this level. The professor was online each day and answered all questions I had.
This teacher worked with me to make sure I passed and talked to me every day to make sure I understood the material. Most teachers won't spend the time.
The course I was in only had one other student so participation and responses to others were not required. I only had to provide my initial discussion on time. Professor is fair with grading and provides feedback quickly.
My mother was quite il during the class and Dr. Leerburger gave me extra time to do my work. She checked in on me repeatedly. She definitely was caring and understood outside issues.
I let Dr. Leerburger know that I needed close captions on the zoom sessions. she did a test case to make sure this worked and told this would occur for my class. More importantly she let me know that I could talk to the school about ADA accommodations so my teachers know I need this I didn't know I could do that so that suggestion really helps me.

I got sick at the start of class. The prof emailed me each day to check on me and made sure I was okay. She allowed me to be late with assignments.
I enjoyed the class and learning with the prof and other students. I wish more student participated in the dsicussions.
Expect papers and discussions each week which is a ton of work but Dr. Leerburger did grade on time.
The school does require that everyone participate in the discussions. While handing in work is allowed, there is a deduction if late so that is important to remember with the discussions.
I enjoyed the course and worked hard to get a good grade. The teacher was involved and provided any information I asked for and answered questions.
I was hesitant to take the class but found that the professor was engaged, talked with us often, provided really good lectures every week, and was available any time we had questions. Grading was fair and used the rubrics and the writing expectations.

Good course, lots of feedback. quick grading
This was a pretty easy class with a super sweet professor. I emailed him with a question once and he answered quickly and was super helpful. He lets you work at your own pace, which I loved.
Amazing professor! Fastest grader I've ever had, often within 24 hrs even if you submit early. Very easy class but way too much work for a 600-level: 1 discussion posts + 2 peer replies weekly, plus papers each week.
LOTS of reading but if you do the work she grades fairly. Participate in discussion and be an active voice. You'll do fine. Would definitely take a class from her again.
Prof Leerburger is one of the best professors you can get at CTU. He's engaged, chill, funny, interesting and all-around cool. He'll actually read your work and leave thoughtful, constructive and encouraging feedback. He genuinely participates in discussion forums; put some real effort into them and you'll excel. His class is painless and fun.
He was very flexible with dates and submissions. Just follow the rubric and you will ace this course.

This class is not that great, but the Professor was amazing. He even gave me credit back when I pointed out a discrepancy between the assignment instructions and the rubric. Do the work and you'll get a 100.
In order to get an A in this class, you need to work. There is a lot of information to take in, but it is clear and easy to digest. If you are used to giving generic ChatGPT answers to assignments, do not expect an A. Dr. L has high expectations, and while very fair in her assessments, is not afraid to call you out for substandard work.
She's a super fast grader, very responsive, hyper informed, and offers engaging articles to read throughout the course duration as elective reading.
Awesome! Truly cares and focuses on student learning over grades.
She was available to answer questions via email, and responded quickly. Fast grader, but tough so follow her guidelines, they are pretty straightforward.
Definitely take a class with Dr. Leerurger. She's a super fast grader, very responsive and informed, and offers ideas and links to read and use in the assignments throughout the course duration as elective reading.
Professor is extremely knowledgeable.
Awesome Prof. She actually cares and focuses on student learning over grades. Provides answers to any questions. Available.
Class was pretty simple and straight forward. She does require a bit more discussion participation than other classes I have taken here but that is an easy adjustment. Overall it was a good class, I would absolutely take another class with her again.
Dr. L was one of the mentors who stood out in my 5 years at CTU.
You need to pay attention to the class and announcements. He is EXACTLY who he says he is - work hard, read and explain your answers. You will learn if you do that.
She was understanding, graded very fairly, and answered questions pretty quickly. I am excited to take her class again for CJUS650, and highly recommend her classes!
Graded quickly and gave feedback. Hard course.
As long as you keep up with the work you'll be prepared. The essay portions of the exams were almost straight out of the homework, so be sure to do the discussion forums.
As the last class, and taking with a full load, she was fantastic. Very helpful when discussing what to change or add so that you will be successful all the way to the final project.
Dr. L is a super fast grader and very responsive. Just do the work and ask questions, and it's an easy A.
If you read the matter online and do the work youll pass.
She was great. She was understanding, kind, and very easy to work with. I would take her class again. Highly recommend.
Super easy class. He always posts on the discussion board but make sure you meet his deadlines because he is pretty rigid on that.
Very easy course, he grades fast and fair. Would take over and over if I could
Complete your assignments on time and follow the rubric and you will do well.
Dr. L is the most professional, knowledgeable instructor I've had. His experience shared through his weekly "wrap up" was the one thing I was looking forward to the most. The level of professionalism is clearly shown. Excellent in grading.
Lots of feedback on discussions and papers. Provides weekly announcements and has writing expectations that are useful.
I really enjoyed the group discussions we had in the class, and he provided such helpful materials for all the assignments. Great class!
The ZOOM sessions were useful. She is an easy grader and overall I enjoyed the topics/course content.
Communication was excellent, and grading expectations were crystal clear. Take advantage of the extra credit offered.
Professor Leerburger was a delight to have. Good course.
He was an excellent teacher and mentor overall. His syllabus was very well written and throughout the class, his communication was very clear so you knew exactly what to expect.

He diid an excellent job selecting the courseware and engaging with us during the entire class term. I highly recommend choosing this professor for this class. I would take this same exact class again from start to finish!
