Mrs. Castellanos is an excellent professor and knows very well her field, she makes her class easy, and understandable. However, you need to read in order to understand better. Her tests are easy, 2 take home, 3 in class, one easy research and she gives you 20 points extra for perfect attendance. I personally recommend her 100%.

Summer term doesn't have midterms; only finals (which is harder). But she helps out a lot. Make sure you do your H.W. as its extra points.

She is an execellent professor.I took her for 2086L class.But, she confuses the lab with the lecture class,lab is only one cred and she makes you work for 10.Quizes every week,midt and final(very confuse models).She mixes the lect with the lab which it must be identification.You'll have to disect pig.For sure you'll learn,but work like beast.

(BSC2086L) Professor Castellanos is a great professor. She went out of her way to even help me get registered for her class. She's an easy A! Exams and quizzes are pretty easy and mainly just memorizing models from the textbook. She makes it easy! Just memorize the models & the few text info from the HW assignments -tests won't go beyond that!

She is super good , you have a midterm and a final but are really easy if you study ,she use the book every day and is require a lab coat .She is the best.

I took her for BSC2085 LAB. She is a great teacher who actually cares about the students. She points out what you must study. Of course is up to you to study. If you do your work and study you should do well. It's all about how much effort and time you put in to it. She does her part great as a professor the rest is up to you the student.

Took her for Lab, and she is an amazing instructor that wants to see her students do well. Lab book is mandatory, HW is easy, but study for tests, they are meant to be alittle difficult so when Mids and Finals come they are a breeze and you've really understood the material. She is kind, gentle, always pleasant, and sweet woman. Highly recommended!

She is super helpful! Has to to be one of the most available teachers at MDC. The book, I didn't take it to class much because it was huge but she does open book test from time to time so you will need it (btw, the earlier you buy your books the cheaper it is). Also, she requires the access code, even if you're a mini term ??

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Gives easy homework off the lab manual, quizzes every class if you take her on the summer, midterm and final (very easy). Lectures are super fun. Not an easy A, she'll make you work for it. Just try to do your best in quizzes, it's the hardest thing of the class. FINAL WAS SUPER EASY (in sections) TAKE CARLOS CORREA FOR AN EASY A

I wouldn't recommend taking this professor for a mini- term. 1) the home work is way too much 2) covered way to much material for a mini term ( feels like your cramming and not really learning)

Amazing professor! Love her teaching style and she really makes the point come across. My major is medicine, so I am actually interested in this subject, but even if you are not, she makes sure that you understand the material and has no problem going over it again with you if you do not understand.

Although her accent is thick she is very thorough. She is a brilliant instructor because she really knows her stuff & is passionate about it. If you need extra help, she will take the time to sit with you to make sure you understand. The tests are tough but if you do the worksheets she posts & study them you'll pass.

Professor Castellanos is the real deal. If you really want to learn Human Anatomy take her! She made me fell in love with my future career even more. She is not a bad professor however she does try to keep up with the lab and lab obviously goes faster than her actual class. Be ready to study the partsof the chapter she doesnt go over because she spends two clases one whole long chapter. THERE ARE NO REVIEWS OR STUDY GUIDES. She has three test and four quizzes. GOODLUCK!

Expect a quiz each lab. She does offer extra credit assignments, which is helpful! Midterm and Final are stations where you must identify structures and write down answers, no word bank or MC. Bonus questions. If you're willing to put in the time and study, I would recommend! She's very nice, I'm glad I took her.

If you want to actually learn about anatomy, this is the best professor to take. It is not an easy class because the material itself is difficult but she is always there to explain it in a way that will make you understand. For lab make sure to buy the book and coat. There are 6 quizzes, a mid-term, and final. You are seated in groups. Take notes during her labs as they turn out very helpful for testing. She is kind and very helpful. Complete all of your lab assignments in the book. Everything is reviewed and graded.

Professor Castellanos is a great professor, I took her class for Fall 2020 and will be taking it again for 2086. Trust me, she wants and cares that her students pass this class. She provides you with a condensed version of the chapters in study guides and you do have to read. There is a lot of homework but she gives you time to complete them :)

One of the best professors I have ever taken, 100% worth taking her because you learn so much! She is so understanding and will help you through the course if you need it! The class is mainly graded with assignments and quizzes with 2 main tests and a final anatomical quiz that was extremely easy. You do need to study though to pass.

LOVE HER CLASS! She is super nice, understanding, and wants you to understand the content. There is homework and quizzes but they are easy just take ab 30 mins to an hour each. She gives 3 exams, and provides outlines. For the exams I recommend studying by reading the power points and the answering the questions at the end of the chapters.

Very considerate of students lives and situations. Pretty good lectures and will explain things multiple times if needed. Minimal tests and doesnt make them heavily counted in the grade book. Online assignments are heavy but very helpful and useful.

She is amazing! She explains the anatomy very well and wants you to do good in her class. She also wants you to participate in answering her questions and does mini reviews of the class before.

I LOVE Professor Castellanos, and will remember her for the rest of my life! I took her for both A&P 1&2 lec and A&P2 Lab, everything about this woman is amazing! Her energy, her spirit, her KNOWLEDGE on the subject. YOU WILL LEARN from her. And you will love it, I looked forward to her classes. Appreciate that woman. She's the last of her breed!

I had a great experience with Prof. Castellanos! She is very caring and wants her students to do well. She even provides study guides, outlines, and STEM lab reviews to prepare for her tests. I took her for A&P 1 lecture and will be taking her for A&P 2 lecture and lab next semester! Highly recommend!

this class was kind of hard at first because I was lost but I got on track. She is easy if you follow her guide lines she gives for every exam. she pretty lenient the only thing is her accent is super strong and basically lecture classes are just talking and reading, but after all it was good

Took her for A&P 1 and 2 lecture and lab. Anatomy and Physiology is not an easy subject, but it is great to take it with a professor like her. She truly cares about your success.

Castellanos is super fun, really cares for her students, and is passionate about her subject. I found her class easy and enjoyable but I would say beware of her very heavy accent. I could understand her better but that is because I myself speak Spanish so I could get what she was saying at times. Easy enough homework. Def show up to class!

Her syllabus is very clear since Day 1; she teaches everyday the whole class time; tests are camera proctored; all assignments are given in McGrawHill Connect; gives a lot of homework, but gives plenty of time to complete them so it is manageable; answers emails super quickly as well; overall a great teacher tat wants students to learn and grow.

She is very sweet and very fun to be around! Heavy Spanish accent btw so you might struggle a little to understand her at times. Very passionate about her subject and gives good feedback. She really wants you to pass and will do her best to help you if you are struggling. Extra credit for the final at the end of the semester. Lots of HW!

I loved her and I loved this class! You can really tell she cares for her students and for the subject. One of the best professors I ever had. Very hands on and she is so open to helping you out if you ask. Her voice is also super soothing so the lectures were nice to listen to. I would highly recommend taking her class!

She is very sweet, caring and engaging. Invites you to participate in her lectures, asks you questions. Heavy Spanish accent but soothing voice. Lots of homework. You have to study for this class, but she helps you, explains everything very well, and gives you study guides and chapter summaries.

8 week A&P class is obvi intimidating since everything's condensed but Castellanos makes it doable. No mid/final BUT 4 proctored exams worth 40%. Study guides included. McGraw Connect HW assignments and small ch. and module quizzes (not proctored). Lectures were long and disorganized. Has E.C. opportunities and likes participation in class.

She wants her students to pass. I had her for Anatomy II lab—she used the full class time, and the work and tests were online. The final was in person but easy if you studied. She gives extra credit and is very knowledgeable in her department. Her accent is strong, but you understand if you study. I would take her again and recommend.

One of the best professors I have taken. There is a lot of work, but it is repetitive in a good way, which helps the material really stick and prepares you well for the exams. She is understanding, supportive, and always available to help students. I would give her a 10/10.
