best math teacher i've had so far! she explains things very slowly and clearly (which might be annoying to some people). her test questions are straight from the reviews and she's willing to help. she does have a fairly strong russian accent, but she's very articulate. she is also strict about turning in homework and she has loads of extra credit.

One of the best math teachers I've had. Even though she has a thick accent, she's very articulate and explains everything very clearly. Always willing to help you if you don't understand something. The review she gives is very similar to the test, so make sure you know the review and you'll have no problem on tests. Gives a lot of extra credit!

What a great teacher! I got an A from her in Fall 2010. I highly recommend her to everyone who needs solid understanding of college algebra and is required to take calculus afterwards. She has an accent that I had no problem understanding. Her packets are excellent. My friends at UCLA have used them when studying for precalculus exams. She is HOT!

She is a wonderful teacher, so helpful. This is my second time taking math 40 and im passing with an A. Just take notes and do the review study guide because its exactly like the test and you will have no problem. The subject is hard but she is willing to help.

Absolutely incredibly teacher, I highly recommend her! You get points for notes (which she provides online & you fill out), homework, and a practice review which is almost identical to the exam. TAKE THIS CLASS!!

I loved her! She was great. I'm bad at math and I got an A in her class. I did all of the hw but not very much studying other than that. She gave us practice tests as extra credit before every exam and that was a big help. Take her, she's great.

Awesome professor if you struggle with math like I do. Class was based on 4 exams, weekly quizes and homework, and a final. She breaks things down so that students can fully understand and doesn't confuse herself like many math professor I've taken! Thank you Professor Jagodina!!

She was great! I took trig before and had to drop. Thanks to this prof I understand everything so well. Study guides were similar to the exams and she went over problems very similar to extra credit ones before each test in class. She even provided us with her solutions to practice exams. Take her!

My first A in math :) she was very helpful towards the end of the semester. Practice exams, solutions to review problems, extra credit opportunities, she even allowed to redo first test. Lectures were good. Lovely accent, hot lady

She must hated Trig. or something, because she was an awful professor in that class. Her study guides & hw were nothing like the exams (except the final), and deducted points like crazy! Majority of the class was shocked to see her good ratings on here. However, she was clear on her lectures. Take her but not for trig.

She made learning the subject alot easier than a previous teacher did.she broke every problem down step by step and made sure everyone understood. You have to put the work in to pass her class, do the homework, study the review guides and do them and youll pass simple as that.

Such an amazing professor. Her lectures are clear, provides notes, and gives out extra credit. The material in this class is very difficult, and she always answers your questions when you come to her office hour. The only way to pass this class is to do all the homework, read and understand the book, ask questions, and do additional problems.

Provides study guide for every exam except the final. Extra credits are anonymous in exams. Doesn't grade your quiz if you just took it and left her lecture.

Jagodina is a good professor, the material is pretty tough in trig but she explained it very well. Also the tests seemed to be a little bit easier than the assignments for me at least.

A great math professor, explains all the material well. She gives notes packets for you to print (if you want) which helps to keep notes clear and organized. Don't take her if you don't have confidence in your intellect because she can be tough, but not unreasonably. A B is not difficult to get but to get an A you'll have to bust your ass.

Took for 150A in the summer. Really fast paced class, quizzes every day, homework everyday, tests every week since the class was crammed in 5 weeks. Teacher has an accent when lecturing, but is willing to clear up any confusion if you make the effort. Homework wasn't graded but required in order to pass the class. Good professor overall.

Jagodina is a great professor. She gives 3 exams through out the semester and one final. Quizzes are usually once a week but are similar to the homework and will help boost your grade. Homework is mandatory and helpful. If you are looking to slack off and be lazy, don't take her class. She does have an accent but you can understand her no prob.

Tests are not tough if you attend the Supplemental Instruction. She tests to the material she taught and the examples she gave in her notes. There are no pop quizzes and she often gives partial credit even if the final answer is incorrect. She has an accent, but you can still understand her. Lectures are long and she is monotone. Still recommend!

Great math teacher, but she does have an accent. She uses printed note sheets in her classes, quizzes everyday and test every Monday. She makes the test really difficult compared to a review sheet she suggest you to do. Overall she is good professor and I would take her during regular class session not during summer.

I got an A, I worked for it tho. It's not as hard as people say it is honestly. The subject is hard but she is not a tough teacher. I really liked that her lectures are really organized (specially for a math teacher). her accent bothered me at first but then I would not even realize it. I'm taking her again. weekly took me 4-7 hours of work at home

Great teacher, really enjoyed her class during summer. Would not recommend taking this class in the summer if you have no previous calc experience. Fast-paced and she expects you to remember a lot of trig and geometry. Tests were okay but she is a hard grader. She will ALWAYS show up late. Limited textbook usage.

Shes the best makes calc so simple if you really talk to her and let her know your struggling shes willing to help

Easily one of the best calc teachers at FJC. She lectures you on what you need to know and emphasizes what is crucial to understand to be successful in 150B ( the next calc class). She is clear about what she wants you to know for exams and always has some form of extra credit on the exams, she also gives you extra credit for doing book problems.

She is clear and concise. I took her for the summer session and it's hard to keep up, but if you put in the time to do practice problems on your own from the textbook, you should be fine

Her class was easy at first but it's getting difficult. Her grading criteria is not that clear. This class consists of 3 exams and final exam. You have to turn in homework and be aware of quizzes every Wednesday. (If class is Mon/Wed class) I was over 100 points until second exams, but exam 3 was really hard and made my grade hardly A.

Definitely makes you work for your grade. I struggled pretty badly in the beginning. I got a D on the first test, but I went to the math lab every day after that and slowly worked my grade up to an A. Take every lesson seriously. If you don't understand something, she will gladly help you. 4 Tests and 1 Final. Short Quizzes Everyday.

Took 150A, 150B and taking 250A with her. She knows what shes doing and explains it step-by-step. She offers extra credit for each test and is in the math lab if you need help. Before the test, she does go through what to expect on the test so there shouldn't be a surprise. Very helpful and cares for your success, take advantage of her help.

one of the most helpful professors i have taken. her lectures are easy to follow and she explains what she expects. exams are like the reviews but study the same question with different examples. if you practice you'll pass. don't really need the textbook. overall great professor!

I started the class weak and started to study more and go to math lab and was able to pass. Jagodina is always very helpful and inspiring! Very knowledgeable and insightful, knows what helps and clues you what may be on the test during lecture. Pay attention and study, you will pass.

JAGODINA IS AWESOME! I am now transferring and taking other Profs. and I truly miss Jagodina. She is in the math lab and she is very helpful! She doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions and is patient. The subject is hard but she is very helpful. I wish she taught at more schools, we need more professors like her!

Great professor with very organized class schedules and very understanding. She is always joyful and explains everything very clearly! I honestly think she is the best math professor I had @ Cypress/Fullerton, and I started at Math 20. 4 Exams, 1 Final, few quizzes and some homework.

Lectures are clear and concise. Exams are also very straight forward and there are no trick questions. She provides optional study guides for exams, but I recommend to do them since it is good practice and you get EC for doing them. Great teacher I will miss her.

Took her 250A Class before. This time I took her 250B and got an A on both of them. Simply her class is hard. Quizzes are on almost every weeks, 4 exams and one final(cumulative but one A4 paper for formula allowed), and class works. Half of students dropped. Extra credit problem is always on tests(Quiz, exams), but quite difficult to solve.

So math 141 isn't an easy class just saying its college algebra meaning that you should go to class, do your homework, actually pay attention in lecture for the grade you want. But she's also nice and easy to approach she is always willing to help in office hours you can get a good grade!!

Really simple teacher, super straightforward, and just have to listen to lecture, do the homework, and do the exam review to be ready for the tests. If you put in the work you will get the A!

Pretty good teacher, she has an accent, but I never had trouble understanding her. She gives bonus questions on exams and puts almost exact problems from lecture on her lessons. Overall, the class is easy as long as you pay attention, do the homework (optional) and complete the study guides, which are optional and count as extra credit.

I was hesitant to take Jagodina because of her reviews. She is the most amazing, caring, and easiest calc 2 teacher. Offers bonus points on exams and doing her review/study guide is extra credit. She has pre-written notes to print out and assigns like 8-12 problems of homework. TAKE HER!!!!

One of my favorite professors at this campus so far. She was an amazing teacher and very specific in her lectures. Everything she taught was on the test, whether it was directly from the notes or some application of what she taught us. She does have a heavy accent, but I had no problem understanding her. She really does care about her students!

She is a nice lady. Straight forward on what she expects, her tests are based on the review she gives out. I got a D in the class but that was my fault, differential equations are hard so if you are looking for an easy A, this is not the place lol. Go to her office hours and ask questions.

This class is very doable if you put in the work. Make sure to do all the homework and ask questions if you don't understand. The reviews are closely related to the exams; Exams were not hard, just kind of long in my opinion and struggled to finish within the allotted time. Overall great class!

If you are ok at Math this class is very self explanatory. Study guides are exactly like the exams. Russian accent... not bad at all.... highly recommend

Very generous for Discrete Math. Almost always gave extra credit for tests/quizzes. When we went online she made exams/quizzes "take home", but they were a LOT harder than in-class. I prefer to take her for in-person classes because my grade got tanked after classes went online. Very nice and caring though!

Very Tough professor, but excellent. When we made the transition online test got very hard. Her lectures in class are very detailed which was great. Getting a hold of her through email was difficult did not really respond so if you have questions ask during lectures. Also do the study guide most test questions come from there.

She gives you extra credit much to pass. With good grade, you need to work hard for this class because it is not easy. Studying math needs reading textbook, practicing, doing your homework, and asking professor once you cannot resolve problems after you tried. As for me, math is the first challenge and I like her method.

The subject itself can be difficult to understand but she does a well enough job to teach it. Her online lectures consist of her mostly just doing practice problems while explaining and the students copy it down. Exams are worth about 80% of your grade so make sure to study up! There is a final exam that can replace your lowest exam grade.

Good teacher overall. Good lecturer but likes to go a little bit fast, make sure to read the sections before class. If you do the homework and pay attention during class, you will do good. Does not accept late work! Tests are reasonable and always easier than the homework. There is an average amount of homework. Provides lecture packets!

She wasn't a bad teacher but lectures were a little boring because she's pretty monotone. I really appreciate the guided notes tho. Homework and quizzes are worth very little. She's nice overall and really challenges you on exams+extra credit. This is a really foundational course for CS students so make sure you do well by studying ahead of time.

Professor J will set you up to succeed with a fairly accurate course schedule, straightforward lectures, practice exams, and extra credit. If you attend each class, do the homework, ask questions, network with your classmates, and go to the tutoring sessions/math lounge every now and then, you'll do great.

Marianna Jagodina was a very nice professor and I enjoyed having her.

Her lectures were very clear and straightforward. There was a lot of homework but it wasn't very difficult. Her exams and quizzes were easy and she told you what kind of problems would be on them. I would definitely take her again:)

I took her for Calc I and II. Her lectures usually involve her working through a packet showing exactly how to solve problems. This style works very well for me. She assigns a lot of homework but, it is useful to ensure you are getting enough practice doing the problems. Tests are very fair if you utilize the practice tests she provides.

The class is easy if your caught up to what she teaches. She's very caring. Although the way her class is set up is a little confusing. There is a lot of homework. There are also extra credit opportunity during the exams which can boost your grade.

I have taken Prof. J for both Calc 1 and Calc 2 and could not recommend her enough. Her exams are very close to the study guide. She explains the concepts very clearly. She is not afraid to slow down class to make sure everyone is on the same page. I have really loved being in her class and would 100% take her again when I take Calc 3.

Very nice teacher. Everything is explained well and she always gives extra credit questions on her tests. Some of her quizzes are group quizzes too. I will be taking her for Calc 3.
